Chapter 1: First Idea

Chapter Text

"Danny, I've got eyes on Technus in the Financial District!" Tucker said in his Fenton Phones.

"I've got Ember Downtown!" Sam responded in her Fenton Phones.

"Are you guys alright? I've got Johnny on my tail over here," Danny announced as he flew through the streets with Johnny following closely on his motorcycle. Danny looked back to shoot an ecto ray at his wheel, but Johnny sensed his attack and tilted his motorcycle to the left just enough to avoid the ecto ray.

In the Fenton Phones, he could hear the Fenton Gun being cocked and the Fenton Bazooka buzzing with power, "I hear you guys can handle it," Danny smiled. He knew his friends would be fine, they'd been at this for as long as he has. "Let me know if any trouble comes up," He said quickly before turning back to Johnny.

"Alright, Johnny, what's the attack for this time? You and Kitty got into another fight?" Danny taunted as he shot another ecto ray at him.

"Can you blame me that you're just a good excuse to take my frustration out?" Johnny provoked as he shot an ecto blast from the headlight of his bike.

"Ever thought about 'talking it out'?" Danny quipped as he shot back another ecto blast.

"Sure!" Johnny remarked rolling his eyes, "That may work for you and the gloomy chick, but with Kitty, she doesn't even let me get a word out!" Johnny shouted as he shot another ecto blast from his bike. Danny stopped flying as he rolled out of the way to avoid the blast. He needed to stop Johnny now.

"I am not about to talk to you about my relationship," Danny shouted as he shot an ecto ray at Johnny. Johnny shot an ecto blast himself, which caused both blasts to collide and explode on impact, creating a smoky scene. "But I will say a make-out session does wonders for the soul," Danny said smugly, with his head high.

He saw Johnny emerge from the smoke and braced himself for a fight. "Shadow, go- oof!" Johnny's attack was stopped as an RV smashed right into him. Danny looked back at the RV, praying it wasn't his family, only to have that hope smashed as he saw the big green 'F' on the side. His parents quickly ran out of the car holding their own Fenton weapons.

"It's okay now, Danny. We're here to help!" Maddie exclaimed, holding the Fenton Rod.

"No one is going to hurt our boy!" Jack shouted as he held the Fenton Anti-Creep Stick.

Danny tried his hardest not to show his distaste of his parents showing up to "help out." The last few times they did, the paparazzi captured some embarrassing pictures, with not-so-forgiving titles. Danny looked around quickly and cringed as he saw a few paps appear from behind some cars and a building.

"Uh, guys, I'm actually okay over here," Danny said quietly.

"Nonsense! Come on, Mads let's take this creep out!" Jack insisted.

"Right behind you, Jack!" Maddie then looked over to Danny and softened, "Oh, Honey you have a little smudge, let me get that for you," She said as she licked her finger and wiped Danny's cheek.

"Mom!" Danny flinched back. He heard the intense camera clicks behind him, confirming that they caught the embarrassing moment. He groaned, placing his face in his hands.

"Aw, how cute. Phantom has mommy and daddy to help him," Johnny taunted. Danny's eyes blazed an acid green at Johnny's comment, but he immediately lowered his intense gaze as his parents stepped in front of him, blocking his view.

"I can see your parents never showed you any affection!" Maddie shouted as she raised the Fenton Rod.

Johnny's lips tugged down into a frown. "Now that just hurt," Johnny said. "Shadow, attack!"

Shadow appeared from the ground and lunged for Danny's parents. His parents shouted as they also ran to take on Shadow. Maddie shot the Fenton Rod out to capture Shadow, but Shadow was faster and dodged her attack. Jack came from behind and started swinging the bat at Shadow, which he phased through easily. Jack swung again, and Shadow caught the bat in his mouth and broke it in half.

"Oh, well I guess that's one way to do it," Jack said sheepishly looking at the half-eaten bat. Shadow raised his hand to swing at Jack but stopped as Danny pointed the Fenton Thermos at Shadow as the blue light encapsulated him, taking him in. Danny quickly shut the Fenton Thermos and looked over to Johnny, letting his eyes do the talking.

"Well, uh… same time next week, kid?" Johnny asked as he nervously looked around.

"Uh-huh," Danny responded as he opened the Fenton Thermos again to suck Johnny in. Once he capped it, he tossed it over to his parents.

"I have to go help Sam and Tucker," Danny said quickly, shooting off in the sky.

"Wait, we can he-! Ugh, he flew off again!" Maddie grumbled.

"He's a busy man with ghosts swarming the town! And you know what, he's gonna catch 'em all 'cause he's Danny Phantom!" Jack boasted as he danced, taking the paparazzi's attention as they took pictures.

"I'm telling you, Maddie, I have the beginnings of a great song in here!" Jack exclaimed pointing at his head.

"You're right, honey. Danny is busy catching all the ghosts in town. It seems to be a lot between the three of them…" Maddie considered. She then snapped her fingers and looked at Jack with a smile, "We have a few stops to make before we get home."

Chapter 2: Danny Phantom: Phorever Mommy's Boy

Chapter Text

Danny had his head in his locker as he scrolled quickly on his phone reading all the comments from his parent's "help" last night. The paparazzi once again made a spectacle out of them, and even worse, caught the moment that his mom rubbed something off his cheek. They graciously titled it, "Danny Phantom: Phorever Mommy's Boy." He was so consumed by the comments that he didn't notice Sam and Tucker standing beside him.

"Dude, it's really not that bad…" Tucker said.

"Not that bad?! Did you see the pictures?" Danny whined.

"Your parents were only trying to help, Danny," Sam tried, but Danny was still mad.

"They would be helpful if they just stayed out of the way!" He protested. He groaned as he saw the pictures move up in the "Trending Today" list.

"C'mon, Danny. Them helping has to be better than them attacking you!" Tucker added. He just received a glare from Danny and Sam.

Sam sighed, "Something else will happen in the news, Danny. The media wheel is constantly turning. Someone else will have an embarrassing or shocking moment."

The doors to Casper High swung open aggressively, capturing everyone's attention. Sam gasped and stumbled back as she saw her parents walking in the building. Instead of the sunny disposition, and pastel attire her parents favored, they wore goth attire, mirroring their daughter. Pamela wore a black dress with lace attached at the hem and black heels. Jeremy wore black leather pants, a black button-up shirt, black dress shoes, and a black trench coat. Having your parents show up at your school unexpectedly was one thing. But having your parents dressed as you was a whole other thing.

"Is this hell?" Sam whispered to her friends as she stared at her parents.

"Oh, Samantha!" Her mother called out.

Sam grabbed Danny by the front of his shirt taking his attention from her parents to her, "If you care about me, you will kill me. Right now. Please!"

The students watched in shock as they realized that the people who stood before them were Sam's parents. Everyone in town knew Sam was the black sheep of her sunny family, so seeing them like this was like seeing a car accident. You should turn away, but you can't. Slowly, some of the students raised their phones and started taking pictures.

Sam released her grasp on Danny's shirt as her parents tugged her away, bringing her in for a crushing hug.

"Hi, honey! What do you think of the outfits? Are they 'goth' enough?" Jeremy asked, jumping for joy.

"The goth kid at the store helped us," Pamela added excitedly. "It was at that store you frequent, honey. What's it called…oh Skulk 'n Lurk!"

"You…went there?" Sam sputtered.

"Of course!" Jeremy confirmed, "At first, the goth boy didn't really think our," Jeremy started turning over to Pamela, "What did he say, Honey, 'kind?'" Pamela nodded emphatically and Jeremy continued. "Right. That our kind would shop there. But you know what we said!"

"You promised never to step foot in there again and left?" Sam said hopeful.

"Nope! We said that our daughter, Samantha Manson shopped there and that it was important to show our support for her," Jeremy finished.

"You couldn't have shown me support in a different way?!" Sam asked getting mad. Danny noticed that people were paying attention, so he placed his hand on her shoulder to calm her down. This action only alerted her parents of his and Tucker's presence.

"Oh, hi boys! What do you two think?" Pamela asked as she spun girlishly in her dress and Jeremy did a Superman pose.

"Looks, great…" Danny and Tucker lied through clenched teeth, fake smiling.

"I always knew you two were good kids!" Pamela complimented as Jeremy nodded emphatically.

"Really? Don't you remember that restrai- oof!" Tucker started but was stopped as Danny elbowed him in the stomach.

Jeremy and Pamela shook their heads, waving their hands as if the times they threatened to place a restraining order on them were a hilarious inside joke. "Oh, that's all in the past. Deep down, we knew you two had good hearts. Oh Danny, that reminds me. You must come over for lunch on Saturday. Sam's uncle is coming over and we would love to have you over," Pamela stated.

Sam scoffed, "What as a spec-mmph!" Danny quickly covered Sam's mouth with his hand before she could finish.

"I'd love to Mrs. Manson," Danny said quickly.

"Splendid! Oh and please, call me Pamela!"

"Sure, Pamela…" Danny said questioningly.

"Well, we'd better be going. We have a meeting to prep for!" Jeremy added. Sam's parents blew kisses at her and waved lovingly at her as they walked out the door.

As the doors closed on them all the students turned back to Sam to see her eye twitching.

"Sam…" Danny and Tucker said as they took a step back. Sam shook with rage and embarrassment and was a quick trigger away from exploding. Phones were raised to capture the Natural Disaster of Sam Manson. Instead, she took a deep breath and turned over to her friends, eye twitching and body shaking.

"I'm cool…I'm cool…"

"Oh, honey, before we forget to tell you," Pamela said poking her head back in the door crack. "I did try your skirt on before we went to the store, but I ended up breaking the zipper. Sorry, honey. Love you, Sammikins!"

Sam's eye twitched even more. "I'm cool…I'm cool…I'm," Her eyes locked onto the Janitor's closest. Needing an escape, she ran inside, locking herself in, and screamed.

Students chuckled lightly in the hallways, but quickly stopped as Danny glared, flashing them his green eyes. The students had to make a decision quickly; either stay and laugh at Sam's expense and risk the wrath of Danny Phantom, or run away to their classes that they would be way too early for. Choosing to live, they quickly dispersed heading to their classrooms, leaving Danny and Tucker alone in the hallway.

"What got into them?" Tucker asked.

"If I didn't have a ghost sense, I would bet they were overshadowed," Danny commented. They walked over to the Janitor's closet and knocked on the door.

"Sam, are you okay?" Danny asked.

"Leave me here to die," Sam mumbled.

Tucker pushed Danny out of the way to talk at the door, "Think about it this way, Sam. You just helped Danny in the media wheel!" Tucker said optimistically. He turned over to Danny to see a glare from his best friend. "I'm only trying to help!"

Danny rolled his eyes and pushed Tucker out of the way, "C'mon Sam, it really wasn't that bad. Just…shocking."

Sam quickly opened the door and glared at her friends, "You have your parents come to school dressed as you and tell me that it's just shocking!"

"Okay, it was something else…" Danny tried again, "But it's probably your parents' way of showing you that they accept you for who you are."

Sam rolled her eyes and growled, "Again, they couldn't have done that another way?!" She then jabbed a finger into his chest, "You got all upset because your parents helped you out last night, my parents are trying to become," she shuddered, "me!"

"They're not trying to become you," Danny stated calmly.

"Dude, dating 101: Don't lie," Tucker said. Danny jabbed Tucker in the stomach with his elbow harder than the first one causing Tucker to lean forward holding onto his stomach. "Not…cool," he wheezed out.

Sam had her head down as they sat at their normal table for lunch. Tucker was happily eating away as Danny watched Sam with sympathy in his eyes.

"Sam, you have to eat," Danny said as he nudged her salad closer to her.

"Not hungry…" Sam mumbled.

Danny sighed. Tucker was unfortunately right about the media wheel; pictures of Sam's parents had been circulating all over the internet bringing Danny's embarrassing night to number 2 instead of number 1 in the "Trending Today" list.

Danny brought his hand up to rub her back. "Come on, Sam. Let's just get through the rest of the day, and then we'll talk to your parents. We'll figure out what's gotten into them."

Sam groaned, "I don't even want to see them!"

"To be honest, I wouldn't want to see them if I were you either," Tucker added. Danny shot his head up and glared at him. "Hey, I'm being sympathetic with her!"

"Think of a better way," Danny warned.

"Dude, let's be realistic," Tucker said putting his sandwich down, "there is nothing worse than your parents showing up to school unannounced. Add them dressing like you, it's social suicide."

"Oh, Tucker!" A voice called out. Tucker's eyes widened and his stomach dropped as he recognized the voice.

"Please tell me I did not just hear that," Tucker begged.

Danny and Sam looked behind Tucker, their eyes widening at the realization.

"Tucker!" Another voice called out.

Tucker noticed that students were taking their phones out, attention caught as they looked at the disruption. Slowly, he turned his head and gasped as he saw his parents walking up to him…dressed exactly like him. His parents wore similar yellow long-sleeve shirts and cargo pants, sporting timberlands and the iconic red beret.

"Tucker there you are, honey!" Angela shouted as she and Maurice made their way to their son.

"I think I'm gonna throw up," Tucker mumbled under his breath. When his parents made it to their table, they twirled in front of him showing their outfits.

"What do you think, son?" Maurice asked. "Oh wait, final touch," Maurice reached into his pocket and took out one of Tucker's old PDAs as if it were an accessory to the outfit.

"I have to admit, wearing pants is kind of refreshing," Angela added. "I mean, just look at how many pockets I have!"

"You look wonderful, honey," Maurice stated as he gave Angela a kiss on the cheek, causing snickers around the room and Tucker blanching.

"What are you guys doing here?!" Tucker seethed.

"Oh we were just too excited to wait until you got home," Angela said.

"So we figured we would come surprise you at lunch!" Maurice finished.

"Danny, Sam, what do you two think?" Angela asked.

"Looks great…" Danny and Sam lied.

"Oh, you two are just too sweet!" Angela claimed.

"Mom, Dad, did you have something else besides show me your…outfits…" Tucker inquired, rushing his parents out.

"No, we just wanted to show you this," Angela said as she brought her hand up to look at her watch. "Oh dear, we better be going or else we're gonna be late."

Maurice nodded, "Of course, we'll see you later!" Maurice called out as he watched his wife walk away hungrily. Tucker felt the blood rush out of his face from embarrassment.

"Dad, please go," Tucker begged.

"Oh, I know! Can't let her get too far away from me!" Maurice stated as he followed after his wife, not noticing any of the phones pointed at them. Once they left, Tucker slammed his head on the table to avoid all the cameras.

"Wow, thanks Tucker," Sam stated as she looked at her phone, noticing Tucker's embarrassing moment was getting pushed up in the "Trending Today" list. "Guess that media wheel is constantly turning."

"Oh shut up," Tucker grumbled.

Chapter 3: The Truth Comes Out

Chapter Text

As soon as the last bell rang signaling the end of the school day, Tucker ran out of the school and hid behind a tree waiting for Danny and Sam to come out.

After waiting anxiously for a few minutes, Tucker saw his friends walking towards him. "I have to admit," Sam said as she and Danny walked over to the tree, "If you ran like that in the mile, you would have a PR close to mine, guaranteed."

Tucker huffed, "The second that bell rang, I was gone. I couldn't stand another second in there with all the teasing! We're seniors for crying out loud! We're not supposed to get teased, we're supposed to be doing the teasing!"

"Hey Foley, your -" A jock shouted.

"Oh shut up!" Tucker interjected. "We gotta get out of here," Tucker said to his friends.

"Yeah, this was definitely one of our most difficult days. I'm surprised you got off scot-free, honestly," Sam said to Danny as the trio walked off of the school grounds to Sam's house.

"No kidding. I would've thought that my parents would've taken the first opportunity to dress like me," Danny stated. "Guess the universe has it out for us though since I had my embarrassing moment last night."

Tucker collapsed on his knees, clasping his hands to the sky. "Why universe! Why! I'm a good guy! Is this because I went into the girl's locker room that one time!?"

"What?!" Sam shouted.

"I'm a good son, I'm a good friend, I'm a good student! I even eat a little bit of vegetables now!"

"Tucker, get up," Danny said.

Tucker continued to ignore his friends. "Danny has gone into the girl's locker room multiple times! Take him instead!"

Sam whipped her head and glared at Danny, who was now ghostly white staring at her like a deer caught in headlights, "What!?"

Danny held his hands up defensively, "Before we started dating!" Danny then glared at his friend, flashing his green eyes, "Tucker!"

"I'm a good person!" Tucker pleaded to the sky, completely ignoring his friends.

"Why would I go into the girl's locker room when I have the most beautiful, and hopefully forgiving, girlfriend in the world!" Danny pleaded as he nervously rubbed the back of his neck.

"You're both pigs," Sam spat, leaving her friends behind.

Danny gripped onto Tucker's arm and pulled him up, "Is it your mission in life to put me in the dog house?!"

"If it gives me good karma, I'll glue you to the road for a bus to take you out," Tucker admitted.

"You're pathetic," Danny sneered.

They caught up to Sam quickly but stayed a few steps behind as she was still shaking with anger. Finally, they got to her house and walked up the steps and opened the front door.

"Don't think that me letting you two in means I forgive you," Sam said as she stepped into the foyer, "You're both still -" Sam gasped. Danny and Tucker quickly turned the corner and saw what stopped Sam in her tracks…their parents were here.

"Hi, kids!" The Fentons, Foleys, and Mansons called out.

"Danny!" Jack bellowed as he stood up, "What do you think of our outfits?" Jack and Maddie were dressed in a costume similar to Danny's in Phantom mode. Everything was the same, except for the initials on the front, which were JF and MF, respectively.

"What are you two doing here?" Danny asked through clenched teeth.

"Kids, come sit down," Jeremy said gesturing to the available couch, "we have something we want to talk to you three about."

"Oh c'mon! Danny deserves to have his parents show up at school, not me!" Tucker whispered into the air. Sam and Danny jabbed him in the stomach causing him to flinch forward, holding his stomach.

"What is this about?" Sam asked as the three sat down on the couch.

Jeremy gave them a smile, just bursting from excitement for the news, "Jack, Maddie this was your idea, please have the honor…"

"Your idea?!" Danny interrupted.

His whine went unnoticed by the adults in the room, "Yep! We've noticed how you three have been dealing with more and more ghost attacks in town, so we've all come together and we've all agreed that we're going to start helping you guys out!" Maddie exclaimed.

"What?!" The trio blurted.

"Oh I'm so happy you guys are as excited about this as we are!" Angela commented.

"You two agreed to this?!" Sam shrilled at her parents.

"Of course!" Pamela said, proudly. "We know that we haven't always been the most supportive of you and your choices, but we want to change that. So when Jack and Maddie came to us last night, we just couldn't say no!"

"Oh my god…" Sam muttered, bringing her hands to her face.

"Mom, Dad, why?" Danny choked out.

"Danny, you three go out there risking your lives every day for this town…" Maddie started.

"What parents would we be if we didn't help our kids out!" Jack finished.

"Good ones!" Danny, Tucker, and Sam responded quickly.

"Now we can be better!" Jeremy insisted.

"Absolutely! Those ghosts haven't seen anything yet once we hit the battlefield!" Maurice declared.

"But you guys can't fight!" Tucker said.

Maurice, Angela, Pamela, and Jeremy all pointed to Maddie and Jack who held their heads high, "That's why they've been training us!"

"So one day of training and you think you're ready?" Danny challenged.

"Sure, it'll take time, but they know more than they did last night now," Maddie affirmed.

"I think I'm gonna throw up," Danny said, leaning back into the couch.

"Oh, honey you don't have to worry about us! We'll be just fine!" Maddie said. "But he has a point!" Maddie said, looking at the other parents. "We should keep training, we have a lot to catch up on before the next ghost attack!"

"Let's go to the training room," Jeremy insisted.

"Training room?" Sam questioned.

"Yes! As soon as the Fentons left after our talk last night, we made calls to have a training room built in another secret room in the basement. They just finished it an hour ago!" Pamela stated, excitedly.

"Let's go, gang!" Jeremy said as he and Pamela led the way for the other parents, leaving a dumbfounded trio.

"I remember when I was happy…so happily content with life…" Sam muttered into her pillow.

"I can't believe they all agreed to this," Danny mumbled, letting his head hang back in defeat while sitting on Sam's bean bag chair.

"It's your parents' fault!" Tucker scowled from Sam's computer chair. "They're the ones who started this mess."

"You think I'm happy about this?!" Danny grumbled. "I'd rather have my parents threaten to rip me apart molecule by molecule again!"

"At this point, that's looking more attractive by the minute," Tucker glared.

"It doesn't matter who started it, our parents agreed to it," Sam interjected, flipping onto her back so she could be heard clearly. "If our parents want to help, fine. Let them help and see what happens during a ghost fight. I guarantee you both that within the first 5 minutes, they'll be running for the hills."

"My parents won't," Danny huffed. "If anything, they'll be getting in the way."

"So we just be better! We show them that we don't need their help, amp up our attacks, and get them done before they can even step out of the car," Sam insisted.

Both Danny and Tucker looked down in defeat.

"It's either that or we have a talk with all of them," Sam proposed.

Danny sighed, "We can try the first thing. I don't know if it'll work, but what do we have to lose at this point?"

Tucker growled, "Can they at least not wear what we do?! What's up with that?! It's fucking creepy!"

Chapter 4: More of a Challenge

Notes:

Just a quick thank you for the comments and kudos :)

Chapter Text

"Ugh I'll never be good enough for her!" A teenage boy shouted as he left the mall. "She's gorgeous, funny, and smart... And I'm just this...this freak!"

Unbeknownst to the teenager, Spectra and Bernard hid behind the building waiting to attack on his insecurities. They gave each other an evil smirk as they planned their attack.

"Stupid! Stupid, stupid, stupid!" The teenager exclaimed while hitting themself.

"Aw, it's okay…" Spectra said in her human form as she made herself known. She gently approached the teenager and placed her hand on his shoulder. "Talking about it helps…I mean it is hard knowing you're nothing but a freak."

The teenager slumped their shoulders and held their head in defeat as Spectra used her powers to suck out their insecurities to make herself younger.

"Tell me all about how you're a freak…"

"I'd like to cut in and say how you're a freak!" Danny shouted as he shot Spectra back, taking her control of the teenager off. Tucker and Sam quickly ran to the teenager to make sure he was okay.

"I thought you were over this whole gag of feeding off of people's insecurities," Danny called out as he readied for Spectra's attack.

"As long as you teenagers have insecurities, I'll never stop!" Spectra affirmed as she brought her claws out to swipe at Danny. He quickly dodged it and shot an ecto ray at Spectra, but she quickly dodged that one, leading to the two doing hand-to-hand combat. By this point, the paparazzi arrived capturing the fight, but kept a safe distance.

"We have to help Danny!" Sam told Tucker as they confirmed that the teenager was okay. As they stood up and reached for their own weapons, Bertrand popped out as a giant tiger. He circled around them like a predator waiting to attack their prey.

"Shit…" Tucker mumbled. "Dude, a little help!" He called out to Danny who was still fighting with Spectra.

"I'm trying!" Danny responded.

"Don't worry, I'll make it as painful as possible…" Bertrand taunted.

"Uh, don't you mean painless?" Sam retorted.

"No," Bertrand chuckled. He made a lunge towards Tucker and Sam but was quickly shot back by an ecto blast. Tucker and Sam turned their heads around to see Maddie holding a Fenton Bazooka.

"Nice shot, Maddie!" Pamela complimented.

"Oh thanks," Maddie responded, waving her hand in a motion to say 'it was nothing.'

"Why don't you go for a shot?" Maddie encouraged Pamela.

"Ooh yay!" Pamela held her wrist up, aiming the Fenton Wrist Ray at Bertrand.

"Oh shit…" Sam muttered.

"Why?" Tucker asked nervously.

"Let's just say I didn't get my aim from my mom," Sam stated.

"One, two, three!" Pamela counted as she fired two shots at Bertrand. Unfortunately, her aim was missed and the shots hit Tucker and Sam instead, making them crash into the side of the mall.

"Oops! Sorry kids!"

"I've got this, Pamela!" Angela insisted. She aimed her wrist ray and shot at Bertrand. Except her aim was also bad and she shot at Danny by accident, making him crash next to Sam and Tucker.

Bertrand and Spectra blinked a few times from confusion as Bertrand hadn't moved the entire time and should be easy to aim at.

"Ooh, sorry!"

"Well, at least you shot at a ghost, honey. Just make sure you aim for the right one next time," Maurice winked. Angela, Pamela, and Maddie laughed as if they weren't in the middle of a ghost fight.

Spectra looked back and forth between the angry trio to the laughing parents. "And you are?"

"We're the parents!" Jeremy exclaimed as he and Jack caught up with the others.

"And we're here to protect our kids!" Jack shouted. He held up a Fenton gun and shot at Bertrand.

"Oh shit…" Danny mumbled.

"Eat ecto film, Simba!" Jack completely missed Bertrand and headed straight for Danny, Sam and Tucker. Danny shot up in front of Sam and Tucker and formed a ghost shield around them.

"Oops…" Jack muttered.

"Jack, Simba was a lion, not a tiger," Jeremy corrected with a playful smile on his lips.

"Eh tomato, tomato…" Jack shrugged.

"Now, time to put these ghosts back to where they came from!" Jeremy exclaimed as he pulled out the Fenton Thermos. He pointed it at Bertrand and uncapped it to swallow him in the thermos. Except, of course, it didn't catch Bertrand…

The familiar blue-white light surrounded Danny, sucking him into the thermos.

"Ah!" Danny screamed as he was forcefully shoved into the thermos.

"Danny!" Sam and Tucker shouted.

"Oh, uh sorry for capturing your kid," Jeremy said sheepishly as he capped the thermos.

Jack barked a laugh and clapped Jeremy on the back. "No worries! We'll get him out in no time!"

"Looks like you've got enough on your plate…" Spectra mocked as she and Bertrand flew away, cackling.

Tucker and Sam looked over to the paparazzi and saw that they were taking photos like crazy.

"This is going to be a lot more annoying than we thought…" Sam grumbled.

Danny quickly dodged YoungBlood's sword attack, doing a backhand spring on YoungBlood's ship. He flicked his wrist, swinging his sword up, doing a quick flip, and swiped at YoungBlood.

"I thought you were out traveling the world!" Danny shouted as YoungBlood disappeared from Danny's attack.

"I was, but then I got tired of it and missed messing with you!" YoungBlood retorted.

"Lucky me…" Danny lunged his sword forward at YoungBlood but only caught his hat as YoungBlood bent down.

"Hey!" YoungBlood shouted as he brought his hand up to feel his hatless head. He turned over to a few members of his crew who held Sam and Tucker on the plank. "Show him what happens when he strikes me! Let them walk the plank!"

"You know, if we were jumping into the water, that wouldn't be a problem," Tucker reasoned as a crew member held a knife to his throat. "But since we're in the middle of the fucking sky, that's an issue!"

"Yeah, just a bit…" Sam added, trying to hold the knife that was held to her throat as far back as she could.

"Let them go, YoungBlood!" Danny yelled as he shot an ecto ray at him.

YoungBlood dodged behind a crew member letting them take the ecto blast from Danny. "Oh, but this is fun!"

"Have room for 6 more on this ship?" A voice from a megaphone appeared. Danny, Sam, Tucker and YoungBlood looked back and saw that it was their parents appearing in the Fenton Jet.

"Oh great…" Danny mumbled.

"Ahoy Matey, it's your turn to get the boot!" Maurice said into the megaphone, causing Tucker to blush. He felt an erratic wind behind him and noticed that it was the paparazzi in a helicopter behind him.

"Perfect. Absolutely fucking perfect…" Tucker grumbled, sarcastically.

Maurice pressed a purple button making ecto goop come out of a pipe from the Fenton Jet. The goop landed on the deck of the ship, causing Danny and YoungBlood to slip.

"Now, Jack!" Maddie called from the wheel.

"Got it, honey!" Jack opened up a door at the bottom of the jet, extending a rip to the deck of the ship. Jack, Maurice, and Jeremy slid down the rope landing safely on the deck.

"We'll get our kids, you help yours!" Maurice stated as he and Jeremy ran to Sam and Tucker, but as soon as their feet landed on the goop and with the momentum of their sprint, they fell sliding towards the plank.

"You know what, it's okay. We'll show our way out," Sam said in a monotone voice to the crew members holding her and Tucker as they saw their dad's sliding toward them. The crew members flew off, leaving Tucker and Sam to face their doom.

"At this point, we gladly accept it," Tucker added in the same tone. Jeremy and Maurice slid all the way to the plank shoving Tucker and Sam off.

"Guys!" Danny yelled as he stood up to fly after Sam and Tucker.

"Tucker!"

"Samantha!"

Jeremy and Maurice shouted from the plank as they watched their kids fall to their doom. They felt the gust of wind from Danny and relaxed their heart rates as they saw him grab them.

"That goop is very slippery!" Maurice said to Jeremy who nodded emphatically.

Danny flew back on the ship with Sam and Tucker, settling them on the dry part of the deck.

"Way to go, Son!" Jack said as whipped the Fenton Thermos out, uncapping it to capture YoungBlood. "Now, time to end this game of pirates!" Jack took a step forward on the goop. As he fell, he pressed the capture button on the thermos that happened to be aimed at Danny.

Instead of screaming this time, Danny looked annoyed as the Fenton Thermos' blue light engulfed him again.

"Oh, not again! Sorry, Danny! We'll get you out in no time!" Jack said, shaking the thermos, and receiving a few shouts of protest from Danny.

Danny performed a matrix move as he bent backward from the razor that Technus had just thrown at him narrowly missing him, lightly skimming his hair.

"Not looking for a haircut anytime soon, dude!" Danny shouted as he shot an ecto blast out of his hand.

Technus brought his hands over his face, shielding himself from the blast with a series of microwaves and fridges. "Not even your attack can combat my newly updated software, bringing me from Technus 2.0 to Technus 2.0.1!"

"Technus 2.0.1, meet PDA 3000!" Tucker shouted from the sides holding his PDA up and a cord trailing out of it. "Now Sam!"

Sam had crawled up to Technus with an HDMI cord connecting Tucker's PDA to Technus' control panel. As soon as she connected the two, Technus started short-circuiting, making his movements jerky. Sam narrowly missed his swing as she moved quickly away from him.

"No! Y-y-you c-can'-t defe-eat me!" Technus claimed.

"Well, then you're not gonna be too happy with what I tell -"Danny was interrupted as their parents quickly ran inside the electronics building, holding a series of weapons.

"We're here! Boy, it was hard finding you guys this time! The tracker on the Fenton Thermos isn't working. Must've happened in a ghost fight," Maddie stated.

"Right…ghost fight," the trio stated in unison, glancing at each other.

"Mom, we got this one covered actually," Danny said.

"Yeah, I guess you-"

"Maddie! Do you see the new dessert fridge over there?! Oh, it's a dream come true!" Jack exclaimed as he trotted his way over to the fridge, tripping over the HDMI cord connected to Technus and pulling it out.

"Ah-ha! I am free!" Technus shouted as he sprang into the air victoriously. Danny, Sam, and Tucker glared, annoyance clearly evident on their faces.

Maurice ran in front of the group and held the Fenton Thermos out to capture Technus. "Oh no you don't!" He shouted as he pressed the button.

"Bye guys…" Danny sighed, accepting his fate.

"We'll get you out in a little bit," Sam said, crossing her arms over her chest.

The blue-white light coming from the thermos captured Danny, leaving a confused Technus.

"What? That's not how it- of course! Technus 2.0.1 is indestructible!" Technus shouted as he flew out of the building.

"Oh darn it! Sorry Fentons…" Maurice said, handing the thermos over to Maddie.

"He just can't seem to stay out of the way can he?" Maddie stated as she held the thermos carefully.

Chapter 5: The Outburst

Chapter Text

Danny groaned as he scrolled further and further down in the article written about his, Sam's, and Tucker's parents intruding on their ghost fights. He, Sam, and Tucker had decided to stay at Danny's for the night since their parents were at Sam's 'training.'

"You'd think their aim would get better, but it just keeps getting worse…" Sam sighed as she scrolled through the pictures from the paparazzi on her phone.

Tucker leaned back in Danny's computer chair, taking his glasses off to rub his eyes. "Hear this title, 'Ghosts, Goths and Geeks: Double the Trouble as the famous 'trio's' parents cause more harm than help'…Great I'm a geek again."

"Hear this comment," Danny said as he sat up in his bed. "If it was possible to die from embarrassment, Danny would have become a full ghost by now."

Sam cringed, "Maybe we should talk to them…"

"Yeah and say what? 'Mom, Dad, you're ruining any chance I have to get a girl that doesn't know me from high school,'" Tucker snapped.

"Right. Because your dating life is our biggest concern right now," Sam spat.

"I'm a man with needs, Manson!" Tucker retorted.

"Not that we need to hear about those needs…" Danny countered. "Think of other ideas."

"Sure," Tucker said smugly. "We just knock them out every time Danny's ghost sense goes off."

"Tucker, we can't knock our parents out," Danny calmly replied.

Tucker sprang from his seat, "I can't take this anymore! They always fuck something up in the fight, you get sucked into the thermos and the paparazzi have a field day with it, creating taunting posts!"

"As much as I don't want to, I have to agree with Tucker. We haven't been able to capture a ghost since they started 'helping,'" Sam said, holding her fingers up for quotation marks.

"Just when the ghosts were starting to take me seriously too…" Danny slumped. He sighed as he crossed his hands over his chest. "Sam's right. We have to talk to them."

Tucker released a frustrated grunt from his throat, as the last thing he wanted to do was talk to his parents.

"We just have to gather all of them and tell them nicely that we don't need their help. We don't need to go into the specifics," Sam added.

"Guys, it's not just my non-existent sex life that I'm worried about. I haven't seen my parents so happy about something…" Tucker stated as his eyes fell to the floor.

Sam's and Danny's eyes matched Tucker's and fell to the floor as well. "Yeah, for once my parents are excited to talk about ghosts…" Sam trailed off.

"And my parents have been dreaming of this since," Danny released a humorless chuckle from his lips, "Honestly since they were our age…"

The Trio were lost in their own thoughts about how happy their respective parents have been since they joined the team - well, forced themselves into the team, when Danny's ghost sense went off.

"Uh-oh," Danny said as he looked up to his bedroom window seeing Walker and a few of his goons flying away. Danny quickly turned into Phantom and grabbed Sam and Tucker, flying after Walker.

With Danny holding onto his friends, Sam brought her right arm, holding it steady with her left hand as she shot at Walker, blasting him right in his back.

"Ow!" He grunted as he turned around, glaring at Danny and his friends. "Oh well isn't it my lucky day…the famous trio has decided to surrender themselves to me…"

"As if!" Tucker shouted as he brought a Fenton gun out of his pocket, shooting it at Walker.

Taking a moment of distraction, Danny flew over to a roof setting his friends down so he could fight back. "What are you doing out here, Walker!?"

"A prisoner would know better than to question their Warden!" Walker shouted as he shot out an ecto blast. Danny, Sam, and Tucker quickly dogged away from the blast, allowing the smoke to clear before going on the attack.

"Guess it's good that I'm not a prisoner of yours!" Danny responded as he shot out a series of ecto blasts from his hands. A few looked like it was going to hit Walker too, until the Spector Jet came up, blocking Danny's attacks.

"Hi, kids!" All the parents shouted as they landed the jet next to them.

"What'd we miss?" Angela asked.

"Ooh, I know which one this is…" Pamela claimed as she grabbed her glitter index cards out of her purse that were girlishly decorated with pastel color swirls. She quickly flipped through her index cards, looking for the one that they were currently facing. "Found him!" She exclaimed as she held the card up victoriously. "This one is called, Walker. He believes he is the Warden of the Ghost Zone."

"I am the Warden of the Ghost Zone!" Walker shouted as he shot an ecto blast to Pamela. Danny quickly got in front of Sam's mom, erecting a ghost shield in front of them making Walker's attack burst at the shield contact.

Walker gave a smug smirk, "Guess the rumors are true…the trio needed help from mommy and daddy." His goons laughed at his joke, encouraging his taunting.

Danny, Sam, and Tucker glared at Walker and opened their mouths to retort or swear at him - whichever came first really - but were cut off by Jack.

"That's right! Daddy and Mommy are here to protect our kids!"

"Dad…" Danny whined. Tucker and Sam blushed and cringed at Jack's claim.

Walker chuckled at the trio's embarrassment. "Oh, this is just too good."

"Enough talk! It's time to put you back in the Ghost Zone!" Maddie shouted as she jumped onto Jack's shoulders, using him as leverage for her attack. She then jumped off of him raising the Jack o'nine tails at one of his goons. She quickly wrapped the ends around one of the goons and dragged him back to the roof as she landed gracefully.

"Man, that's hot!" Jack exclaimed, making Danny clamp a hurried hand over his mouth to stop himself from throwing up.

"Angela, the thermos!" Maddie shouted.

Angela smiled and lifted the thermos from her side, showing it excitedly. "My turn!"

Sam and Tucker quickly ran in front of Danny to shield him from the thermos, even though they knew it would be no use.

Angela pressed the button on the side of the thermos and pointed it toward the goon that Maddie had tied up, capturing him in the blue light. Shouts of protest came out as he was sucked into the thermos.

"At least there's some improvement," Danny whispered to his friends.

Angela raised the thermos above her head waving it around wildly. "I got one! I got one!"

"Good job, honey!"

Walker stared at the parents shocked that they were able to capture one of his guards. He whipped his head to his right and jabbed his thumb to his other guard. "Get them!"

The guard lunged towards the group, baton at the ready. He aimed his shot towards the parents, but was quickly deflected by Pamela's shot from her Fenton Wrist Ray. "Ooh I got one too!"

The guard shook his head and gritted his teeth as he lunged forward again, arms outstretched. He was so focused on taking Pamela and Angela out that he didn't notice the punch from Jack coming at him. The guard slammed into the ground, staring in disbelief at Jack who proudly showed off his Ghost Gauntlets.

"Ha! Nice try ghoul!" Jack shouted as Angela sucked the goon into the Fenton Thermos.

"I am not about to be taken down by mere mortals!" Walker shouted into the sky as he flew off. Danny grabbed Sam and Tucker, flying after him.

"Everyone!" Jeremy called, waving his arm. "To the Fenton Jet!" As all the adults ran, Angela tripped over a wiring on the roof dropping the Fenton Thermos to the ground. The adults froze looking at the thermos as they heard a series of beeps coming from it.

The thermos lit up, releasing the goons that they had captured only moments before.

Walker zipped by buildings, flying as fast as he could to get away from Danny. He chanced a glance back to see that he was only gaining on him. Taking a moment to pause his flee, he turned around and shot an ecto ray at them.

Danny deftly dogged the attack, only allowing him to stall for a moment before continuing his chase.

"Where the hell is he going?!" Danny asked, exasperated.

"I have no idea. But I do know you're not able to do much if you're holding us," Sam responded.

Danny nodded and looked over to Sam in silent agreement. She raised her arm, pointing her wrist way to Walker, and shot him squarely in the back, making him tumble to the ground. With this distraction Danny quickly flew down, putting Sam and Tucker on to the ground, and floated over to Walker.

"What are you doing out here?" Danny asked as he stood before Walker.

Walker clenched his teeth and shot an ecto blast at Danny who created a shield. "I do not answer to you!"

"Fine, if you don't want to answer, then I guess it's back to the Ghost Zone for you!" Danny shouted. Tucker tossed him the Fenton Thermos to capture Walker, but just before he uncapped it, the thermos was zapped out of his hands. Danny looked up to see that it was Walker's goons again.

"I thought you were captured!" Danny shouted.

"Well that was short-lived…" Sam stated, disappointment lacing her words.

"What happened to our parents?" Tucker asked. Right on cue, the parents arrived again, tumbling out of the Fenton Jet.

"Stand back everyone!" Jack yelled as he and Maddie stood in the front. Little barrels started coming out of Maddie and Jack's jumpsuits, similar to the ones they wore when they fought off the little ghosts when Freakshow was in town. They made a series of poses and spun letting the shots go out crazily.

Their shots landed on the goons and Walker, but unfortunately, they also hit Danny, Sam, and Tucker.

"Oh my god…I can't breathe…" Tucker gasped clutching his chest.

"C'mon gang! Grab a weapon and do what Maddie and Jack are doing!" Maurice shouted. The next thing the trio knew, the rest of the parents shot out crazily. If it weren't for Danny erecting a ghost shield around them, they would've gotten shot at multiple times. With each blast hitting the shield, it made the trio angrier and angrier. They were so angry that they didn't even catch Walker slide behind a building, watching the barrage of attacks and waiting for a moment to do his own attack.

"Stop!" Danny shouted releasing a small ghostly wail to get the parents' attention but not hurt them.

"Danny, what on earth-?!" Maddie exclaimed as she put her suit back to normal.

"No, stop! You do not get to yell at me for this!" Danny shouted as he and his friends stepped closer to their parents.

"Danny, that is your mother -" Jack started but was cut off by Danny.

"Let me ask you two this, who do you think you are to shove yourselves into this fight?! Into any of my ghost fights?!"

"As your parents, we are trying to help you!" Maddie yelled back.

"Help me?! Ha! Have you caught any ghosts since you two started this charade?" Danny argued. Maddie and Jack exchanged nervous glances, speechless.

"Well, there was that time -" Jeremy started but was cut off by Sam.

"That wasn't Danny! You two have been more hurtful than anything else!" Sam yelled at her parents.

"Now I don't think that's-" Maurice started but was cut off by Tucker.

"Don't you dare say 'fair?' How has any of this been fair for us?! We were managing just fine without you guys!" Tucker snapped.

Danny turned back to his parents, fire blazing in his eyes, "Listen to me carefully. Sam, Tucker, and I have been doing this far longer than you guys and we will continue doing it. Without you," Danny turned around to see the paparazzi start to gather. He chuckled dryly at their appearance.

"Great! We'll be reading this tomorrow. 'Famous Trio Freaks!' Do you not understand that your 'help' is just embarrassing!"

"Not only that, but you two dressing like me is creepy!" Sam added, glaring at her parents.

"Yeah! What is up with that?!" Tucker stated, also glaring at his parents.

The parents were shocked. They weren't sure what to say as they thought everyone was happy with their presence. They slowly glanced down at their clothes and to the floor ashamed of themselves.

"Stop using me to live out some ghost-hunting fantasy," Danny said, his voice low as he glared at his parents.

At that, the trio turned around and stormed off to find Walker.

"One more thing!" Danny said, turning his gaze to the few paps that were still there. "If I see one more picture of me, my friends, or our parents on social media tomorrow I'll make sure to break your cameras!" At that threat, the paps ran away, leaving the parents ashamed in their spots.

"Great, now how are we going to find Walker," Sam grumbled as they turned the corner.

Danny and Tucker sighed, "It'll probably take all night…" Danny mumbled. Just then, his ghost sense went off, but before they could turn around, they felt a hard object hit them in the back of their heads knocking them out cold.

"I guess we should just go home…" Angela said, bringing the parents out of their numb state.

"I suppose so…" Pamela said, sniffling.

As the parents turned back to the Fenton Jet, they felt a gust of wind behind them. They quickly turned around ready for another ghost attack, but were frozen to their spots as they saw Walker flying off with their kids.

"He has our babies!" Angela exclaimed.

Jack clenched his teeth, "Come on gang, our kids need our help!"

Just a quick thank you for the kudos and comments :)

Chapter Text

Danny groaned as he stirred awake, feeling a throbbing pain in the back of his head.

He extended his fingers expecting the feel of his soft mattress, but when he felt a cold, sterile floor, his eyes shot open. He looked around and noticed he was in a dark room, with only a few torches placed around the room. He tried to stand up, only to pause as he noticed that his wrists were chained to the wall and his feet chained to the floor.

"Where am I?" Danny asked out loud.

"Danny?" A familiar voice called out in the room.

"Sam? Is that you?" Danny asked, raising a hand to light up to offer more of a light source. His hand sparked a bit until the sparks diminished quickly.

"My powers…?"

"Yeah…" Sam grunted. "It's me…ugh my head is killing me."

Danny brought his hand to the back of his head, rubbing the sore spot. "They hit you?" he growled, his face scrunching with rage.

"They hit all of us," Tucker interjected, groaning as he rustled his chains.

"Who's 'they' though?" Sam asked, chains rustling.

As if right on cue the LED lights in the room blazed on, making the trio scrunch away from the light, squeezing their eyes shut. A creek of the door was the only thing that alerted them that someone else was in the room with them.

Footsteps echoed closer to them. "It's about time you three woke up…"

Danny blinked, trying to adjust his eyes to the sudden light. "Walker," he growled.

Walker chuckled darkly, "I didn't think I hit you three that hard…"

Danny glared at Walker, swearing to himself to give Walker some of his own medicine once he was out of these chains.

Walker sighed and stepped to the right, allowing three of his goons to come into the room, each goon floating over to Danny, Sam and Tucker. Walker took out three pieces of paper unfolding them to read to the trio.

"Danny Phantom: Possessing Contraband, Starting a Prison Riot, Aiding and Abetting a Wanted Criminal, Tricked a Law Enforcer and Trespassing."

"So what? I have a longer sentence to serve?" Danny mocked while raising an eyebrow. "Just put it on my tab."

Walker didn't seem to flinch at Danny's taunts and instead flipped a page and faced Sam. Danny's cockiness quickly diminished as he felt his stomach drop.

"Sam Manson: Aiding and Abetting two Wanted Criminals. Tricked a Law Enforcer, Resisted Arrest and Trespassing."

Walker then turned over to Tucker and flipped to another page.

"Tucker Foley: Aiding and Abetting two Wanted Criminals and Trespassing."

Walker then turned over to Danny and pointed a finger at him. "Danny Phantom must serve 5,000 years." He then turned over to Sam and Tucker and pointed his finger at them at their names. "Sam Manson must serve 2,500 years and Tucker Foley must serve 2,000 years."

"Yeah? How do you expect us to serve that, dumbass?" Sam spat.

"Swearing at a Law Enforcer; another 500 years," Walker said smugly. Sam glared at him in response.

"And don't you worry, I've already thought of that," he said, moving over to crouch in front of Tucker and Sam. "I remember how Danny was able to become a half ghost again…I wonder if it'll work for you two…"

"What!?" Danny snapped, standing up quickly.

Walker turned over to Danny, feigning confusion. "Well, Danny. You certainly don't think mortals can serve that long, do you?"

"Did you forget I'm half-human?" Danny sneered.

Walker waved Danny's question off, "I've already thought of that too…"

Danny clenched his teeth. "Walker, let them go."

Walker abruptly stood up and spun on his foot, turning to Danny. "You do not order me around! Guards!" Walker shouted, getting his goons attention. "I think it's time for some pictures."

"How are we going to find where Walker is though?" Maurice asked as the parents arrived in the Fenton's lab.

Jack and Maddie grabbed a series of weapons and stuffed them into duffle bags as the other parents stood watching them. "Danny told us that this guy acts as the Warden for the Ghost Zone, so he probably took them to his prison."

"Why would he take them there?" Pamela asked worriedly.

Jack and Maddie exchanged a glance at each other, silently agreeing to be honest with the other parents. "Because apparently, Danny has to serve time to the Warden," Jack finished.

"Time? What do you mean?" Angela asked.

"Danny told us that the first time he met Walker was when he was trying to get my anniversary gift out of the Ghost Zone, but Walker considered the gift as Contraband," Maddie finished.

"I would think that saving the world would wipe the slate clean," Jeremy commented, lifting an eyebrow.

Maddie and Jack gave a knowing look, "you would think so."

Maurice shook his head. "How are we going to find them though? Isn't the Ghost Zone huge?"

"Yes," Maddie stated.

"But not to worry!" Jack said, taking a piece of paper out of his front pocket, showing the other parents proudly. "This is the map that the kids started when they first explored the Ghost Zone. Sure it's a bit…"

"Lackluster?" Pamela stated.

"Crude?" Angela added.

"Sparse?" Jeremy said.

"Bland?" Maurice interjected.

"I was going to say, incomplete, but all those work too."

"It doesn't matter. It's what we've got to save our kids," Maddie finished zipping up the duffle bags and turned to start the Spector Speeder.

"Are you ready?"

The other parents stole glances at each other and nodded in determination as they stepped toward the Spector Speeder.

"If nothing else, I'm glad the prison uniforms are in black and white instead of orange…" Sam said, lifting her collar as the trio waited to take their mugshots.

"Yeah, thank god for that…" Tucker responded sarcastically.

"What's with you?" Sam snapped.

"Oh, I don't know…how about we're about to take our mugshots! And we're going to prison!" Tucker stated, flailing his arms around for emphasis.

"This is Walker we're talking about, Tuck," Danny interjected as he fidgeted in the cuffs he wore that stopped his powers. "None of his shit is serious…"

"Felt pretty serious to me when he said 2,000 years!" Tucker groaned, hanging his head back.

"I'll figure out a way to get us out of here," Danny whispered as they got closer to the guard.

"How? Your powers aren't working right now, Sam and I haven't had the chance to see if we can go through walls yet, and no one knows that we're here!"

"Our parents do," Danny added.

"To be fair, we went really hard on them…I wouldn't be surprised if they let us stick it out here for a bit…" Sam said as she looked at the ground ashamed.

"We did, didn't we?" Danny commented. Now that he had a moment, he played back the entire argument in his head. His stomach dropped further and further with each word he yelled at his parents.

Tucker sighed, "We fucked up this one royally."

"Next!" A guard shouted, taking the trio out of their thoughts.

Tucker whimpered as he was next in line. Slowly, he walked up to the measuring board and held a board up that had his prison number. The guard chuckled at Tucker's fear.

"Smile…" the guard mocked in a sing-song tune. Tucker flinched when the light went off.

"Next!" The guard shouted as Tucker rushed off the platform. Sam held her head high and brought her shoulders back as she walked up to where Tucker was before.

"Pretty girl like you should smile more…" the guard taunted.

Danny and Tucker glared at the guard, but Sam kept her cool.

"And here I thought misogynistic men only resided in the human world," Sam spat as she plastered a scowl on her face, holding her prison number board up with her left hand.

The guard tsked as he brought his finger to press the button. Just as he pressed it, Sam raised her right fist, flipped the camera off and smiled. When the picture appeared on the little screen, the guard's jaw hung open in shock.

"Decided to smile at the last second. Was it a pretty smile…?" Sam sarcastically asked as she walked off the platform. Danny and Tucker snickered at the guard's shocked face.

"N-next!" The guard sputtered. Danny walked up to the platform and glared at the guard as he held his prison number board. The guard shook his head to focus on his task and took Danny's picture.

"I think we're lost, Jack," Maddie said to her husband.

Jack furrowed his eyebrows as he focused on dodging around floating doors. "We're not lost, we should be there in no time!"

Pamela and Angela gave each other a worried glance. "Maybe we should ask for directions…" Pamela murmured.

"Ask who, Pamela? Who would you want to ask?!" Jeremy snapped as he gestured to the window showing a few ghosts here and there.

"Well we're not going to make it if we keep it up this way!" Angela argued.

"Would you ladies please let us focus!" Maurice pleaded as he and Jeremy looked at the map, trying to decipher it.

Maddie pointed to a ghost to their right, "Jack, pull over! Let's ask this one right here!"

"We do not need to ask for directions! I know where we're going!" Jack huffed.

"If something happens to our kids because of your stubbornness, I will make sure you pay for it!" Maddie snapped, crossing her arms over her chest. Angela and Pamela also crossed their arms and glared at their husbands in solidarity with Maddie.

Jack, Jeremy and Maurice growled low, but obliged unwillingly. Jack steered the speeder to the right and lowered to meet with the ghost Maddie pointed out.

"Hi, excuse me?!" Maddie called out to the ghost. At her voice, the ghost flinched and turned around.

"Oh wait, I think I know this one!" Pamela stated as she quickly flipped through her index cards of ghosts. "Ah-ha! Klemper is it?"

"Will you be my friend?" Klemper pleaded.

"Honey, I think we may be a bit too old for you…" Angela commented.

"Are you sure about that?" Maurice whispered to the men through clenched teeth. They chuckled under their breath in response.

"Klemper, we need your help finding Walker's prison. Do you think you can do that?" Maddie asked. At the mention of Walker's prison, Klemper cringed and started to fly off.

"We can't let him go! Klemper, wait!" Maddie screamed. "If you help us, we promise to help you, okay?"

Klemper fidgeted with a button on his shirt nervously before turning over to the women. They all shared innocent smiles and softened eyes making him feel warm and calm inside.

"You can trust us. We promise we won't put you in any danger," Maddie added. Klemper nodded and flew closer to the parents.

"Follow me, friends!"

"Oh boy, what did we just get ourselves into?" Jeremy asked.

Chapter 7: Mugshot

Chapter Text

"All done. I'm going to get these to the Warden," A guard claimed, holding three black folders up to the other guard who nodded in acknowledgement as they made their way out of the room. The black folders were labeled and filled with Danny's, Sam's and Tucker's information, charges and mugshots.

The guard walked up the winding stairs to Walker's office, gripping the folders in fear of dropping anything. When he finally made it to Walker's office, he knocked on the door and waited for Walker's permission.

"Come in," Walker said on the other side. The guard stood straight and opened the door.

"Sir, their files are complete," The guard handed the folders out to Walker for him to grab. Walker had a smug smile on his face as he looked through the contents of the folders.

"I told you that you would serve your time ghost boy," Walker seethed as he looked at the picture of Danny glaring. He shut the folder and moved on to Tucker's folder, chuckling under his breath as he admired the fear in Tucker's eyes. He then moved over to Sam's folder and dropped his smile when he saw her picture.

"What is this?!" Walker growled, holding the picture of Sam flipping off the camera.

"Her…mugshot, Sir?" The guard answered nervously.

"I know it's her mugshot you, idiot! Why is she posing in such an obscene way!" Walker chastised. The guard fidgeted nervously with his baton, darting his eyes everywhere in the room but Walker's eyes.

"Well? Where's the order in this? If we just let anyone put up immoral gestures, what's to stop them from rioting again?" Walker insisted. The guard didn't respond.

Walker huffed and stepped around his desk towards the door, "We need to show them that we mean business."

As soon as Walker's prison came into view Klemper quickly flew down to a piece of debris and hid behind it. The parents exchanged confusing glances as they lowered the Speeder to Klemper.

Klemper held a shaky finger out pointing to the prison. "It's right there!"

The women nodded at each other and gave a gracious smile to Klemper. "Thank you, Honey," Angela said.

"We promise to hold our end of the deal as soon as we rescue our kids," Pamela added.

"Let's go save our babies!" Maddie said, pointing to the prison. Jack added more pressure to the acceleration moving the speeder forward.

"How are we supposed to get in?" Jeremy asked as they crept closer and closer to the prison.

Jack lowered the Speeder down onto Walker's prison area and parked. "Danny once told us that humans are the ghosts in the ghost zone," Jack said as everyone got out of the Specter Speeder holding a series of Fenton weapons.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Maurice asked, eyebrows raising in questioning.

Maddie gave a smug smile and pushed Maurice through the closed gate of the warden. He yelped quietly as he phased through harmlessly, patting his hands over his body to make sure he wasn't hurt.

"How-" Maurice started as the rest of the parents appeared behind him.

"We're the ghosts in the ghost zone, babe. Keep up," Angela smirked.

"Ow!" Tucker exclaimed as he rubbed his right fist with his left hand. He raised his fist again and brought it to the wall, willing it to go through, only to smash immediately at contact. "Fuck!"

"Tucker, that is the 15th time you've tried. Your hand is not going through the wall…" Sam mumbled as she sat in her corner of the room with her knees to her chest, arms crossed over and chin resting on her crossed arms.

"It's probably the cuffs, Tucker," Danny said, holding up his cuffed wrist for example. "Walker's got to have something laced making it so you guys can't escape."

"Ah! I have to get out of here!" Tucker huffed as he punched the wall one last time. "I'm going crazy in here! Who knows how long we've been in here! I haven't eaten in days!"

"It's only been a few hours…" Sam reminded him.

"And we had Nasty Burger, remember?" Danny responded, raising an eyebrow.

Tucker slumped to the ground, lightly hitting the back of his head against the wall, "we're fucked."

Before Danny could open his mouth to respond, the door to their room opened revealing two guards and a pissed-off Walker. Walker scowled as he pointed toward Sam and brought her mugshot out of the folder. The guards scrambled over to her unlocking the cuffs.

"What's going on?!" Danny shouted, standing up.

Walker held her mugshot up. "You think this is a joke? I run a disciplined establishment where I am feared. I am not about to have that be ruined by one stubborn, immoral human!" He sneered.

As soon as the cuffs were off of Sam, Danny's eyes widened, "Sam, run!"

Before she could though, one guard held her wrist while the other grabbed her arm. Sam was thrashing in their grasp so much, that the guard that unlocked Sam's cuffs shoved the keys in their pocket loosely and picked Sam up, with her back to their chest.

"Let me go!" Sam screamed as she continued to thrash with her legs, kicking the air. She knew the keys were hanging loosely and only needed a little shake to get them out.

"Walker, stop!" Danny pleaded.

"I. Do. Not. Take. Orders. From. You!" Walker spat.

"I promise I won't try to escape! I'll serve my time and Sam's! Please don't do this!" Danny shouted frantically, keeping his eyes on Sam as she continued to struggle against the guard.

Sam moved her body forcefully to the left, making the guard lean a bit to the left with her. The keys finally landed on the ground making a small clatter that fortunately wasn't heard because of Sam's screams and Danny's pleas. Tucker quickly placed his foot over the keys shielding it from everyone's view.

"She will serve as an example to those who even think about defying me!" Walker responded pointing his finger to Sam. "Let's go," he said to his guards in a low threatening tone.

"Let me go!" Sam shouted as the guard walked out of the room with her.

"Sam!" Danny shouted. He felt his throat close up when the door slammed shut.

"How are we supposed to know where they are?" Maurice whispered to the other parents as they walked slowly inside the prison.

Maddie held her Fenton gun at the ready, gently placing her index finger on the trigger. "We're bound to hear them. Either that or hear the guards talk about them."

Jeremy looked around the hallways and noticed a lack of said guards. "Where are the guards anyways?"

"Probably guarding wherever Danny is. My son is a fighter! Ha, there's no way he wouldn't be held in some high-security place!" Jack whispered, pride swelling in him, even though the situation was inappropriate.

"Jack, that actually makes sense…" Maddie replied, slightly shocked. "Danny might very well be in a maximum security location."

"Okay, but where exactly is that?" Pamela hissed as they rounded another corner.

"Let me go!" Sam's voice echoed in the prison.

"Samantha!" Jeremy and Pamela gasped, running towards her voice with the group trailing close behind them. Jeremy and Pamela held their Fenton guns outward, ready to use them to protect their daughter. When they turned another corner, they stopped as they saw Walker first, then two guards behind them, one of them carrying Sam.

Walker stared at the parents, perplexed. "What -"

"Not my daughter you bastard!" Pamela shrieked as she held her Fenton gun up and pointed at him.

Chapter Text

Danny tried getting out of the cuffs. He first tried phasing through the cuffs, then used his ice powers to freeze them off, then tried summoning an ecto ray to his hands. Each attempt earned a growl of frustration as he continued thrashing in the cuffs.

"Danny, calm down!" Tucker said as he removed his foot from the keys on the ground. He quickly grabbed the keys and started working on removing the cuffs. For a quick second, Tucker was nervous that the keys were only for Sam's cuffs, but when he heard the promise of a click, he felt the tension in his stomach release. He ripped the cuff off of one wrist and quickly worked on the other. Once he was free he ran over to Danny's cuffs and worked to get them off. Tucker noticed the adrenaline running through Danny as he was itching to get out of the room.

"Don't worry Walker's not -" A huge blast was heard down the hall, causing Danny to jump and Tucker to drop the keys. He scrambled to the ground grabbing for the keys again to work on Danny's cuffs. Another series of blasts went off.

"Tucker!" Danny moaned as he looked out the small window in the door.

"I'm going!" Tucker declared as he got one cuff off, quickly going towards the other one. He twisted the key and heard the click declaring freedom for Danny. Once he was free, Danny flew towards the door and turned intangible only to smash right into it.

"Fuck!" Danny screamed as he rubbed his head. Tucker ran to the door trying to see a way to get out of the room. He raised his hand out and pushed it against the door, feeling his mouth tug upwards into a smirk when he phased seamlessly through.

"Turn human, bud," Tucker said as he phased through the door. Danny rolled his eyes as he turned into Fenton. He phased seamlessly through the door and ran towards the commotion with Tucker on his heels.

As they got closer to the noise Danny changed into Phantom and braced himself for a fight. When they rounded the last hall, Danny and Tucker stalled trying to make sense of what was in front of them.

Walker and his guards were shooting ecto blasts and using their stun batons against their parents. And their parents were actually doing well.

"Mom? Dad?" Danny and Tucker stammered.

"Don't you two just stand there! Get Sam!" Maddie shouted as she fired her Fenton gun. Danny and Tucker blinked the shock away and turned over to the guard who was still holding Sam. Danny ran over and punched the guard in the face, using their stunned reaction to phase Sam out of their grasp.

"Sorry," Danny said breathlessly.

Sam shook her head, "Don't be. This," she said pointing to their parents who were successfully hitting their aimed targets, "Is pretty surprising."

"Danny!" Tucker shouted. Danny and Sam turned over to Tucker to see him pointing to something behind them. They turned just as the guard was about to stun Danny and Sam, but before he could, he was shot back by an ecto blast delivered from Jack.

"Not today, freak!" Jack shouted as he turned his attention to the other guards.

"Feel my wrath you pigs!" Angela shouted as she shot back a few guards.

"Go, mom!" Tucker cheered as he ran to stand next to Danny and Sam. The trio stood frozen in place, gawking at their parents fighting and actually winning. Maddie was punching and kicking guards, flipping over a few, much to Jack's excitement.

"That's right! That's my wife!" Jack declared with pride. He then continued to shoot down a few guards in his area. The trio then shifted their gaze over to the Manson's and watched them shoot down a few guards. They gasped when Pamela punched the guard in the stomach.

"That's for planning harm towards my daughter!"

Tucker's parents were also doing well as they seemed to work in sync together, with Maurice shooting a few guards down and Angela knocking some down with a hit from her gun to the back of their heads. Tucker cringed from the maniacal laugh that came from his mom with each guard she took down.

"Where the fuck did all of this come from?" Danny stuttered to his friends.

"I could ask you the same thing!" A deep voice said behind them. The trio quickly turned around to see Walker behind them with an ecto blast charging in his hand. Danny reacted by shooting his own ecto blast, pushing Walker away from them.

Walker clenched his teeth and brought his head up only to have a fist punch him back to the ground. He groaned as he rubbed his face already feeling the bruise appear. The front of his jacket was tugged upward so that he was face-to-face with Danny.

"Let's go give you a taste of your own medicine," Danny growled. Walker gulped as he looked into Danny's eyes, seeing rage shine in them.

"You can't leave me in here!" Walker yelled as he tugged on the cuffs that Danny had worn before.

"Guys, how much do you think physical assault, kidnapping, and attempted torture would get our inmate here?" Danny asked his friends with mock consideration.

Sam raised a finger to her chin, playing along. "Mmm, I don't know… Maybe 3,000 years?"

Tucker crossed his arms over his chest and gave a smug smile, "Times 3. So if my math is correct, that's 9,000 years!"

Danny shrugged, "Might as well round that up to 10,000."

Walker gasped, "You can't leave me in here!"

Danny, Sam, and Tucker turned away walking towards the door.

"No, stop!" Walker pleaded. Danny stayed in the doorway while Sam and Tucker turned the corner.

"You do not order me," Danny growled. He shut the door in Walker's shocked face. The friends exchanged knowing smiles as they walked towards the entrance of the Prison, with Walker's shouts echoing the hallways.

"Are you three alright?" Maddie asked as she and Jack ran towards Danny to give him a tight hug. Danny turned over to his friends to see that they were also receiving tight hugs from their respective parents.

"Yeah, we're fine mom. Thanks to all of you," Danny said softly as his parents released him. He rubbed the back of his neck and took a deep breath. "What I said before…I'm sorry. I was way out of line."

Maddie cupped her son's face as Jack placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Honey, we're sorry. We inserted ourselves in fights where you three were perfectly capable of handling it."

"Maddie's right. We caused more trouble than assistance," Pamela added.

Sam shook her head, "We should've talked to you guys though instead of yelling at you."

"Yeah," Tucker interjected, "We were jerks with the way we handled it."

"You guys really saved us back there," Danny chuckled as he looked at all the parents. "Thank you." Sam and Tucker nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, we did, didn't we!" Angela claimed. All families laughed at her honesty.

"While this was fun, we promise to leave the ghost fighting to the experts," Jack winked at his son. Danny smiled softly at his father's acceptance.

"And we promise to go back to our own styles. I mean seriously, I miss my bright colors!" Pamela shrieked, making all the families laugh again.

"Thank god!" Sam said.

Maurice cleared his throat as he straightened his back, with the other parents following his lead, "But…we all agree that there is a lesson that needs to be learned about accepting help when you three need it…" The parents nodded in agreement.

"Tucker, Sam, and Danny gulped as they exchanged nervous glances.

"How long do we have to be here?" Sam grumbled.

Tucker looked at his phone and sighed, "5 more hours…"

"How is this teaching us the lesson of accepting help?" Danny groaned.

"Because it teaches you three to be there for someone when they need it," Maddie claimed.

"And because we made a deal…" Angela added.

"Friends! All the friends!" Klemper said excitedly as he flew around the room. He then flew down to Danny and lightly placed his hand on his shoulder. "Tag you're it!" Klemper stated as he flew off.

"Danny, go on you're the only one who can fly," Jack chuckled. Danny hung his head back and flew off after Klemper, chasing him.

"We don't have to hang out here for the next five hours though, do we?" Jeremy whispered to the parents.

Maddie snorted, "Heck no! Let's get out of here!" At that claim, Tucker and Sam perked up.

"Don't you three think that you won't be caught if you leave early!" Pamela countered.

"You forget, we have eyes and ears everywhere!" Angela said.

"Thank you, paparazzi!" Jack boasted as the parents rounded inside the Specter Speeder and flew off leaving the trio behind to hang out with Klemper.

"Tag, you're it!" Klemper shouted as he tagged Sam.

"Fuck you, paparazzi," Sam, Tucker and Danny grumbled.
