Chapter 1: Nobody - Catelyn - Jon
Notes:
Both Arya and Jon are a bit overpowered and can share some traits with their bonds, so they have enhanced earing and sight, good instinct and grat speed but not that much difference in strenght until the puppies are grown.

Chapter Text
Nobody(as in thirdPOV)
The party was crossing the bridge when Jon turned around shoutung that he heard somenthing. He dismunted his horse and among the snow he found a sixth pup, an albino, grey eyes met red and Jon froze.
The bastard of winterfell was in front of the king, he was at the feast, e was in Bran’s room, at castle black, at the fist of the first men, lying dead in the snow, walking back from the falmes, fighting white walkers by his wife side lastly he was staring into his wolf’s eyes.
The party reached Jon who was taking too long.
“A runt to the litter” “an albino” “That one is going to die first Snow” “No this one’s mine Greyjoy”
During the ride home Jon was quiet, he could not speak, he kept glancing at his cousin Robb, at his uncle Ned, at Bran stedily riding his pony. When they reached winterfell jon took the bigger female pup and went off, he found his sister, grey eyes met bright yellow and arya froze.
“It worked!” Arya all but shouted.
“It did!” Jon agreed.
They went to the kitchen together where they found Arya’s siblings feeding milk to their own pups with wet rags. They joined them.
That evening, after Ned rushed off with Catlyn after recieving the letter about the death of Jon Arryn and the coming of the king, Jon and Arya snuk into the godswood.
They stood in front ot the heart tree their wolves at their side.
“I Aegon Targaryan, once a man grown, truenorn come before the Gods.” The Targaryans weren’t Nobles, not in the old ways.
“I Arya of house Stark, once a woman grown and flowered, trueborn and noble come to claim him.”
“I take this woman.”
Jon shed his black cloak and Arya clasped a white one on his shoulders this will make her a member of house Stark still in the eyes of the old gods and allow her to keep her claim on Winterfell. But she could tell he tought all this a bit rediculus and maybe a little embarassing but he obliged in any case as they both knew what would happen if there was no Stark in Winterfell. They clasped their hands and Arya knelt before her Gods, Jon simply bowed his head, and they prayed, the knowledge of the future limiting their wishes to healty children, not happy, not with the long lives, just healthy the rest was up to them. She rose and they shared a kiss, but even if it wasn’t a quick peck, it was’t the passionate kiss they wishe for either. Arya was much too young to consume the marriage, much to the couple disappointmen so that night they just shared a bed, Arya’s.
Catelyn
She was worried for her sister the raven had brought terrible news and she knew that Lysa was not strong enough to care for a child alone after the loss of her hudband. Still there was little she could do apart form going on with her duties and start the preparation for the king’s arrival after all it was but five moons away and she had to make sure that a place such as winterfell would be up to royal standars and could accomodate the king’s party.
Near mid morning Catelyn was interrupted by the Septa that was in charge of her daughters.
“My lady.” The woman bowed.
“What is it septa?”
“The lady Arya did not show for her lesson this morning and I was not able to find her.”
‘Why must it always come to this? Why can’t she be a proper lady like her sister?’
“I understand septa I will tell the guards to find her and I then will properly chastize her.”
That being said the little lady was not found until supper when she showed in the company of the bastard. They sat at the table and Caelyn was happy to see that her husband was displeased with them even if not as much as she was.
“Jon, Arya where have you been all day?” Asked Ned.Neither of them answered.
“Were were you?”
They still wouldn’t answer. Butthey werent totally silent either. They were peacefully eating! The nerve of that bastard that surely infuenced her daughter to misbhave in such a way!
The other children were left spechless by the two behaviour. At the table sat an angry Ned (who by now was wearing his lord face) an even more angry Cat, Sansa with an expression that tried to emulate that of her lady mother and four very stunned boys.
Ned hit the table with a fist and finally the two raised their heads startled. For a time it seemed like the bastard would start shouting as anger flashed accross his face but it quickly faded away when it met her husband eyes, while Arya remained impassive but she was not scared and that left Calelyn confused.
Once the two saw that all the eyes were on them they looked at each other and then back at Ned and Jon spoke evenly.
“Forgive me lord Stark, did you say something?”
Ned that was not expecting that answer tried again “I asked where the two of you have been Jon.”
For some reason the bastard was mad again but it was Arya that spoke.
“You were speaking to us?! Why would you like to know?”
“Answer me.”
“No.” said Arya.
“What?” Ned asked his voice going dangerously low. Sha knew and the other children knew as well, but Arya wan’t phased.
“No we will not tell you where we were..... Not today anyway.”
“That is enough. Go to your rooms both of you! Tomorrow we will speak of the punishment for your insolence!”
Snow looked aghast serves him right...
“You would deny us food when you have so much!?!!”
“JON-”
“HOW DARE Y-”
The bastard was stopped by Arya that put a hand on her half-brother arm and said “We have already eaten tonight mayaphs we shoud retire.” They made to leave when she turned around.
“Good night Father.” They left and the rest of the family finished their supper in akward silence.
Aegon Targaryan (Jon)
When they were leaving he was furius and he could see that his wife was as well, afterall she was wearing he expressionless mask that she usually dropped around family. Tought at what she was mad he could not say, they after all had not handled that conversation well they both had still to come to term with their new found positions. A good deal of his uncle rage could have been advoided by only being able to answer to their names.
‘Jon’ Aegon thought bitterly ‘How long has it been since someone called me that?’
‘Anyone apart from Arya anyway. Arya.....His wife....She was still not used to someone speaking her name, not even him, not after her training. With time she leart to respond to various titles and nicknames such as ‘your grace’ ‘sister’ ‘wife’ ‘love’ ‘death wolf’ ‘wolf bitch’ (he is gonna have to talk to Sandor about that one if they are going to keep him around) ‘lovely girl’ (he is going to have to talk to that man too). But for someone to carelessly call her name!
‘Shit’ he was getting mad again. Then Arya broke the silence:
“That could have gone better”
“Aye”They both sighed. There was no need for more words they were both thinking the same thing as always and they knew. When the neared their separate bed chambers they kissed (noone saw) and bid each other goodbye.
---
He heard footsteps approaching, a familiar scent, ‘Robb’ , he made sure that his eyes didn’t show anything odd and then sat on his bed.
*Knock-knock*
“Enter”
Robb looked stern or at least he was trying to look stern like his father had probably been when he sent him there ‘a green boy’ Aeogon thought.
“Brother have you lost your mind?!?” The stern facade fell.
“I assure you I have not.” He replied calmly.
“Then why-”
“Why are you here Robb? Did Lord Stark send you? Why?”
Robb stopped and straightened himself.
“Father sent me to tell you that you are to remain in your chambers for at least a fortnight you will not recive vistors for this time, tomorrow you will not be served any meals” at this he scowled but said nothing “you will soon be called by our father” another scowl “to explain yourself and apologize to him. That is all.”
“I thought my punishment was to be discussed on the morrow?”
“Jon-”
“No matter. I understand Robb.”
“What?”
“My punshment.....I understand. Goodbye Robb.”
With that Robb left and the door was locked and Aegon could hear the guard that was positioned outside. Robb left confused and hurt, he did not know what had caused his brother to change so much but he hoped that soon things would return to normal.
Aegon was left alone he was not happy with the look that his cousin left with but there was nothing to be done about it. ‘No meals, no visits.....well that works’ he took out a knife and cut his hand he bled, a passage opened, he followed it to the horse, to Ghost and to the bag with what was necessary for his journey that him and his wife prepared during the day.
He left through the tunnel under Winterfell.

Chapter 2: Ned - Arya
Notes:
The two POVs happen at the same time.
Chapter Text
Ned (A day later)
He was tired, with all that was happening he did not need Jon and Arya to start acting out, after supper his wife came to him to tell him how it was all Jon’s fault for infuencing Arya the wrong way..... Well it was done now they were both locked up in their chambers and would both go hungry for a whole day.
On the morrow he would speak with each of them and get to the bottom of it. He would also tollerate Arya’s behaviour no longer, she was nine, it was time she stopped behaving like a child. That beign said what could have Jon acting in such a way he did not know.
On the morrow Ned was breaking his fast when Jory came in.
“My lord”
“Jory, what is the matter?”
“It is Jon my lord when the servant went in his room with his meal he was nowhere to be found.”
‘No’ he thought ‘No he will be back just like the last time I will see him at supper.’
“Send all the guards to look for Winterfell and near, he must be somewhere.”
“Yes, my lord.”
“Jory?”
“Yes my lord?”
“What of Arya?”
“She was in her chambers my lord.”
“I see”
With that Jory left and Ned joined the guards to look for Jon. He was not found, but Harwin the son of the master of horses reported a horse missing from the stables but near winterfell of the passage of a sole horse there were no traces.
At supper everybody but Arya was present and everybody was silent not even his ward Theon dared speak as the air was very tense. And it was akward mainly because while all the men and boys were either worried or angry about the whole situation Catelyn seemed happy, the only thing disturbing her would be the fact that the bastard took one of winterfell horses, altought that was a price she was willing to pay gladly to have Jon gone.
When Jon did not show Ned went to his youngest daughter room to hopefully have some answers afterall while the serach was still going on Jon had left no traces that scouts could follow and had been gone for at least a day when the serach began.
*Knock-knock*
“Enter.”
Ned found his little wolf sitting on the bed, a small smile upon her lips, she looked to have been waiting for him.
“Where is Jon?”
“Hello Father, would you care to sit?”
“Do you know where Jon is?”
“You prefer to remain standing?”
“Enough Arya your brother is missing!”
“None of my brothers are missing. I have been loocked up here but I am pretty sure that Robb, Bran and Rickon are here in winterfell.”
“JON IS MISSING!”
“Jon is not my brother.”
“He is your blood-”
“Father I am sorry to disappoint but I do not know where he is.”
“He did not tell you where he was going?!”
“That he did.”
“Well where is he going?”
“I am afraid I cannot tell you.”
“ARYA-”
“I swore a sacred oath Father I cannot tell you, but I can tell you that he will return in time for the royal visit and tha preraps when he returns he will tell you why he had to leave and where he went.”
He was scared, his daugther was wrong, his little wolf used to be a wilful little girl with wolf blood strong in her veins ‘like Lyanna’ she had always been brave but not like this this Arya looked untuchable she used to be easy to read for him yet sitting on the bed was a composed lady, her face a mask that let nothing throught she was smiling yet that small smile felt just wrong and Eddard decided to leave.
Arya (The day of the ‘fight’)
Her husband was away and she missed him, the gods knew she missed him terribly. Yet she could feel a sort of peace, she marveld at the fact that she found herself able to sleep without her husband or one of her guards about her.
It is like she was whole and she was! Her mind was undamaged like it was in her childhood and she was in Winterfell! The home that she for so long had tried to get back to and this time her family was here!
Once alone in her room the first thing she did after sayng goodbye to Aegon was suprisingly cleaning she was shocked to see the mess that was her room now that she was used to the tydiness of the house and to always having servants about.
It did not take long as her room was really small, she will have to fix that when she becomes the head of the house.
She closed her eyes, she heard the steps, she smellt fish, ‘Mother’, she sat on the bed and her mother entered without knoking ‘rude’. Catelyn spoke of her father chosen punishment, it was nothing much, then she started with the scolding:
“Listen young lady that was no way to speak to your lord father a proper little lady should be polite an dress prettily, what are those rags?! Are those Bran’s? A good lady should always be on time and above all obey. You will reflect on youe behaviour in the sept the moment your father allows you out of your chambers is that understood?”
‘That is a southron lady.’
“I do no keep the seven mother.” Was what she said.
“ENOUGH! Do not talk back to me! Today you skipped your lessons, the septa and your sister were waiting for you-”
“It was not my intention-”
“Quiet! Not only you disappeared but you went away with that bastard when you should be staying away from him-”
“Are you quite done?” Asked arya, ice in her voice. But Catelyn was not.
“You will soon resume your lessons even if you are confined you can be sure of that. I hope that you will change your tone when you speak with your lord father who will hear about your little outburst young lady!”
And with that she left.
Two days later her father visited she was saddened to see him in such pain but noting coul be done about it. Her husband had things to do, he could not afford to stay here and play family with her father.
A senneight later the septa barged in. ‘Rude’
“Young lady your lord Father har ordered for you to restart your lesson today!”
“I understand” The septa did not expect this answer nor did she expect to find the little beast ready sitting on the edge of the bed.
“Come”
Arya followed.
‘Two times’
Mordane led Arya to the room where the other ladies were already gathered.
“Good morning Sansa” said Arya with a smile.
Chapter 3: Sansa - Ned - Arya
Chapter Text
Sansa
“Good morning sister”
She sat down without uttering a word, she took up a discarded, half embroidened piece with croocked stitches and began working quitely much to the septa surprise.
Sansa noticed that her sisters’s work came out quite decent, the desing was nothing elanorate but the stitches were straight.
“I am glad to see that Father’s punishment finally tought you how to bahave like a proper lady sister”said Sansa.
Arya looked at her oddly. “Thank you sister.”
She was happy at that for once her sister did not lash out at her, but responded properly. And then they tarted working again.
Jeyne was not happy with this situation she was supposed to be Sansa sister, she deserved it way more than stupid Arya Horseface so she tried to claim Sansa attention.
“I bet that when the prince comes he will not be able to take his eyes off of you Sansa.” the girl blushed “do you think that he is coming here to make you his bride?”
“He must be!” Said Beth “why else would the KING travel with all his family all the way to Winterfell! Surely his grace will propose a bethrothal!”
“You would be queen, oh please take me south with you when you go to King’slanding” Jeyne continued.
“That would be my Father decision but if i were to marry the prince-“
“No.” said Arya with an icy tone.
“No what? Did you make a mistake? You truly are hopeless!”
“No you will not marry Joffrey.” Her little sister spoke with an air of finality she really didn’t like.
“You shoud address him properly he is the prince!”
*Scoff*
“It does not befitt a lady to scoff.”
“I bet you are just jealous of your sister, and how could you not be she is a pretty and proper lady like you will never be!”
“Jeyne..... it is nice to see that you are well, but this conversation does not regard you, a steward daughter should not interfere when two ladies are speaking, you should know youe place. Now listen to me sister-”
“How dare you speak to me that way Arya Horseface!!”
“What is all this commotion!?” Asked the Septa who had just returned.
“Apologies Septa we simply got carried away with the conversation” answered Sansa.
“My apologies” intoned Beth and Jyene.
Arya stayed silent.
“Do you have nothing to say young lady!?”
“No Septa”
“Let me see your work.”
Her sister handed it to the older woman.
“This is accettable, so you were just pretending to not be able to do it.”
“I was not.”
“Do not talk back!”
The septa made to leave nad Jyene himitated a horse over sansa’s shoulder. This time Jyene was at fault Sansa decided to have words with her later she could not behave like this were she to bring her south but her little sister stood, she grabbed the older woman and the rude girl by the arm and exited the room dragging them both behind her with ease. Sansa was left gaping after them not unlike a fish.
Ned
“The coming of the king’s party will weight on our stores but I doubt that we will have troubles replenishing them before winter my-”
Vayon Poole’s report was interrupted by Jory’s insecure voice.
“My lord septa Mordane, Lady Arya and Jeyne Poole are here and seek audience.” Ned sighed internally.
“Send them in.” They entered the Septa and the other girl rubbing their arms and his daughter wearing an unreadable expression that unsettled him.
“What is the meaning of this Septa?”
“I...... your daughter was being extremelly disrespectfull during her lesson this morning, even if she was only now allowed out of her rooms and-”
“I understand, but why are you here?”
“I.....well-” the woman stuttered.
“Father if you ask Jory he will tell you that it was me that brought the Septa and Jeyne here, not the other way around.”
Eddard looked at Jory who had entered with the girls.
“She.... she speaks the truth my lord.”
“And why did you bring them here?”
“I am here to dicuss their punishment with you.” She said confidentily.
“Why would I punish them?”
“You should punish the Septa because even if I was being punished that was not an excuse for her to be rude to me, she barged in my room without permission she started ordering me around and interrupted me but most of all you should punish her because she failed to reprimand Jeyne even if she knew that she had been insulting me by calling me Horseface neeighing when I an around and constantly berating me with Sansa. You should punish Jeyne because she slighted your daughter.”
Him and his stweward were aghast. Slowly he turned to the other two.
“Is what my daughter said true?”
They did not answer him but Jeyne started whimpering and Ned ad a feeling that she was in fact speaking the truth.
“Answer me.” He ordered to the Septa.
“It....it is true my lord that i ordered her around but i just told her to follow me to the room where the other girls where waiting for us and I did not know of the girl’s behaviour.” His daughter scoffed.
Ned turned to Jeyne and arched an eyebrow not the she could see she was still crying, head bowed.
“Answer Lord Stark Jeyne.” esorted the steward.
But even after a while all that could be heard from her was her muttering:
“I am sorry....hic...Fath......Lord Stark.....I am sorry-”
“I...I apologize for my daughter behaviour lord Stark.”
“Vayon .... I expect you to properly chastize your daughter she will also not be allowed to attend the Septa classes anymore and will keep away from my children.”
“Yes Lord Stark.”
“No..hic..please.” His steward took his daughter away.
“Septa you should go back to Sansa so that she may resume her lesson, you should leave us too Jory.”
They left.
They stayed silent for a bit staring at each other.
“You did not punish the Septa.”
“You caused a fuss the first day you were let out of your chambers.”
“I did not cause it althought I was in the middle of it. Why did you not punish the Septa?”
“She did no wrong that deserved punishment.”
“She was rude”
“She is supposed to teach you and guide you. Even if you do not agree with her you are to do what she says.”
“I did”
“What?”
“I did follw her, I did work on my embroidery, I did hand it to her when she asked, and it was good yet instead of praising me or just be silent she choose to shout nonsense at me. Must I sew with her?”
“Arya-”
“I am not trying to get out of sewing I am just asking if I must do it with her. Can’t I join Old Nan and the other women when they mend and make the clothes??”
“..Fine”
At that answer he recieved a big smile, a true smile and a “thank you Father”.
“Jory!”
“Yes my lord?”
“Escort Arya back to her rooms.”
“Yes my Lord.”
Arya
“Jory”
“Yes, my lady?”
“Who do you serve?”
“Pardon?”
“Do you serve House Stark of just my father?”
“We are here, go in my lady.”
“Mnh”
The following four months where uneventful for Arya she just followed her lessons, tried to make pace to her sister and took care of her youngest pup during the day and trained during the night with none the wiser.

Chapter Text
Aegon
It had been 23 days since he had last seen his wife and altought the bond that Ghost and Nymeria shared kept them kind of close he missed her terribly, but altough he was close to his first target he was still moons away from going home and soon the wall would have blooked their bond.
The wall was in sight he epanded his mind and warged into the animals of the castle. The person he was looking for was not there ‘he must be ranging’.
He went into the tunnels from a opened passage that nobody used anymore as going in the tunnels without a map was suicide, but he knew the way. When he was under the castle he slipped into the ice storage and stole some provisions, hunting would be harder beyond the wall afterall.
He passed under the wall and exited the tunnels he tried to use his warging abilty to find him and asked Ghost to try and pick up his scent but to no avail, but he was sure that the man he was looking for was not behind him so he went north.
A sennight passed but finally Ghost picked up the scent, they where close he reached the camp ‘seven men..and him’ he waited for night to come then he came onto them and knocked the other seven guys down easily after all magic was already strong here he was able to draw power from his bond.
Arthur was another story, he wasn’t as easy ar the rest, but apperently Arthur wasn’t as good with his left hand.(not true)
After a very intense sword fight the man found himself on his back, disarmed.
“Yield!” Shouted Aegon.
“And what good would that do to me? Would you spare me if i yielded?”
“Yes.”
“Really!” Asked him with a voice filled with sarcasm but it was not like he had any other choiche. “Then I yield.”
“Good.” Aegon sheated his sword and took a step back. “Qhorin Halfhand, a plasure seeing you again.”
Qhorin
“Who are you? I have never met you before. What clan are you from? Do you plan to take me prisoner now that you have killed my men?”
“I am not a member of the freefolk and I did not kill your men.”
The Halfhand turned towards his subordinates and saw that he was speaking the truth although they were all unconcius none of them were dead.
“What did you do to them?”
“Poison they will awake in a few hours.”
“Who are you?”
“Why don’t you try to guess?”
‘What sort of game was he playing’
The stranger was dressed in dark gray almost black clothes. But they were light, too light he could not understand how the man, the boy really wasn’t freezing to death. He had dark-brown hair and dark-grey eyes almost black.
“You are a Stark.”
“I am not but my wife is as was my mother.”
His blood ran cold and after a short pause he bent his knees.
“Your Grace.”
“Rise ser Arthur.”
“Yes your Grace” he stood.
“I am not king yet. Soon but not yet. I am here to ask you to enter my service.”
“I took an oath, I am a brother of the Night’swatch but before that I was a member of the King’sguard. My prince I am yours to command.
“I’m hapy to hear you sae that but before you enter my service we have some things to discuss an preraphs it youd be better got out of here before your men rise from their sleep.”
“Yes my prince.”
They mounted their horses and headed souh-east toward tthe entrance of one of the tunnels that brought directly to the port of Eastwach-by-the-sea.
‘He had spoken the words but what was he to do now? If he left he would be branded as an oathbreaker and an hunt would began for his head plus they were now in wilding territory where he had left his men, gods his men they would be left at the mercy of those barbaric- he shoud not be thinking about them he had his prince to worry about,......what if he was mad like his granfather? what if he was going to become mad like him?? Or what if he started acting odd like his father did?’
“Here will do.”
Notes:
I know Qhorin is supposed to be at the Shadow Tower but I need him at East-watch so he will be there, he is one of two i will move, so the story fits.
Also I know it’s only a theory but I wanted Arthur to serve them so he will.
Chapter Text
Arthur
“Here will do.”
‘They had not gone far, barely four hours of soft riding.’
“Are you sure my prince?”
“Yes.” Aegon replied before dismounting.
Arthur dimounted as well took the reins from his prince hand and was going to tie them to nearby tree when he was stopped.
“That will not be necessary, ser”
“But-”
“Leave them.”
Relunctantly Arthur obeyed and the horses went to graze some grass without actually going too far.
“Before you swear yourself to me-”
“My prince if I may I am already sworn to your House.” The man… boy looked really pissed at being interrupted.
“Yes you are, were I to release you from that oath, wuold you take another?”
“I....I don’t understand.”
“I intend to change many things during my reing one of them the order of the King’sguard, the new order will have more people, will put obedience to their king above all, well most of them anyway and will be allowed to wed and have children with my leave or my wife’s. To enter this royalguard I’ll probably call it one will have to pass two tests. One of prowerness, whitch you passed, the other a simple chat. I wanted to ask if you wanted to be the first person of this order. If not then you may return to your men and keep living on the wall.”
If Athur had any doubts before now the where gone, after listening to his speech he realized truly how much this boy reminded him of the prince.
“I made my choiche when I knelt for you the first time my prince.” Aegon smiled.
“Good. Ser Arthur Dayne I release you from your oath of king’sguard.” He said simply without ceremonies. “Ghost!”
Arthur was startled when he heard the prince shout the last word and was shocked when white wolf approached them. He tried to put himself between the beast and his prince but stopped him raising his hand. (He is as big as a dog now)
“You need not fear ser Arthur, Ghost is my companion, he was a gift from the Old Gods and he shall stand as witness as I release your oath to the watch.”
“I beg your pardon?”
“Did you not swear your life to the watch in front of the groove of weirdwoods near Castle Balck?”
“That I did but.....”
“Then before you swear yourself to me i shall release that oath also, the Stark have an ancient ritual for that.”
‘And wasn’t it a sliced neck?’
Arthur esitated.
“Is there a problem?”
‘What power does he have break an oath that I took before the Old Gods?’
Yet he glanced at his prince who was waiting for him and then at the white, red-eyed beast that reminded him of a harth tree and did not question it.
“No my prince”
“Then kneel ser.”
Kneel he did.
Aegon got closer he cut his hand and drew a weird simbol on Arhur forehead (not that he could dìsee it) and started takling in a tounge that was foreing to him, but somehow remainded him of the Old Tongue that some wilding sopke but it was more melodic.
“You are now a free man ser.”
Arthur hesitated. But a strong wind propped him up. This was a costume nothing more. Arthur did not notice the hand of his king had already healed.
“Now you should swear to obey and defend me and mine as the first member of the royal guard, and that you recognize me Aegon Targaryen sixth of my name, son of Reaghar Targaryan and Lyanna Stark your king in front of the Old Gods.”
“I ser Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning recognize Aegon Targaryen sixth of his name, son of Reaghar Targaryan and Lyanna Stark as my king and I swear to obey and protect him and his as the first member of the royal guard for the rest of my days.”
His king was grinning frome ear to ear when he commanded him to rise. He stood and his king turned to the horses and moved one of his bags and a sword from his horse to the knight’s.
“Your grace let me-”
“You will depart immediatly for your first mission. You are to use a secret tunnel to reach eastwatch’ port without beign seen you will sail on the ship that leaves for pentos there you will find my aunt and uncle and a man called Jorah Mormont, they are staying at the mansion of Illirio Mopatis, your job is to take them to bravoos where you will purchase a mansion and wait for me, if Jorah does not cooperate kill him but my aunt and uncle must stay alive. You must reach my aunt in less than three moons as she is to marry a dothraki horse lord and i cannot let that happen. As important as the three people in Illirio mansion there are three dragon eggs that where supposed to be gifted to Dany on her wedding day i suppose i don’t have to tell you how valuable those are?!”
“No your grace.”
“You will take those with you too”
“If you kill the Khal remember to kill his blood riders as well for they are sworn to take revenge. In the bag you will find coin for your travels a paper to use at the Iron bank so that you may use the account that my father set for me to purchase the house and a letter for Mormont. Now do you have any questions?”
Ha had, many in facts like ‘how did this kid tht could not have been fifteen namedays old know old know all this things?’ But said:
“What of you your grace?”
“I will meet you in braavos”
“I should be by your side, I swore to protect you-”
“You swore to obey me. And obey me you will” said his king in a voice that allowed no arguments. Arthur hesitated yet again.
“As you command your grace.”
“Good, now the raven will guide you to and through the tunnels-”
“The raven my king?”
Aegon pointed to a bird perched on the hilt of the sword that was now hanging from the his horse. Arthur tought nothing odd of it ravens knew the way.
“Oh and I’ll be needing that sword back it is not mine.”
Arthur wanted to say that he already had a sword but this time he held his tongue.
“It’s a precious sword made from dragonsteel.”
‘Mayaphs he meant Valyrian steel?’ But again he did not voice his thoughts.
“And don’t worry about your men soon the will rise and after they do not find you they will probably just assume that you were kidnapped by the freefolk and return to eastwach eventually. Go now.”
Arthur had other questions but obeyed.
“Yes, my king”
And so he left following the raven.
Aegon
He waited for his knight to leave. He then sat on the ground and got let out a breath.
‘Good now I have someone who will take care of Dany’ he tought not with small relief and he too set off, Ghost at his side.
Roughly forty days later.
He was about to reach the cave. He had a uneventful journey he had encounered small groups of whigts but not White Walkers and he was far from Mance camp.
He entrered the cave and went to speak with his uncle.
“Uncle bryden.”
“You were not the one I was waiting for.”
“Bran will not come. The price that you demand is too hight and Bran will not learn to fly.”
“It is his destiny.”
“It is not. It is the third eyed raven that is pulling Bran towards the sky so that he may fall, so that he may fall into a come and he could influence his mind further so that one day the bird may escape his cage. You did well uncle, you kept him here for all this time, you served your house faithfully, and although I don’t approve of what you did to my Father and Mother, I understand why you did it.” Aegon knelt.
“Thank you uncle you will be remembered.”
“You are welcome nephew.” Aegon rose to his feet and unsheated another dragonsteelsword and put an end to his uncle suffering.
‘Will it be enough? Did I kill him? Did he escape?’ Arya was with Bran and Rickon and Nymeria should be with Jojen Reed if he warged into an animal he would be stuck and if he went into another warg he would still be much weaker plus he was the wall stood strong with Starks in Winterfell he would not be able to pass it only with is mind if he were in fact into another warg, he should not be able to... ‘there are other passages.. if he were to pass the wall with a body....’
He willed those thougts away. There was nothing to be done about it now. He serached the cave for the present for his wife and took it uncaring of the golden eyes that were following him around and then left. ‘She will not forgive me if I am late.’
Notes:
So Bryden a The Third-Eyed-Raven are two. Different people that habit the same well corpse. Then Jon swings his sword.
Chapter 6: Jaime
Chapter Text
Jamie
His journey was awfulling boring yet he was at least relieved that it was almost over as they would reach Winterfell on the morrow. He was also relieved from the fact that this night he was not on duty and will not have to lissen as the ‘fat pig’ assaulted his sister.
His sister.... he had been banned from her bed since they left the capital and he missed her.
They made camp. That night the Kingslayer distanced himself from the camp.
“Kingslayer.”he turned shocked towards the small voice it belonged to a small child all elbows and knees. Usally people would call him that behind his back but never to his face.
“Kingslayer.” She repeated.
“Whose doughter are you girl?” He said, his arrogant grin plastered to his face.
“Does it matter? I am not here on his account, I came here because me and my husband want you in our service. He was supposed to be here with me but he’s running late-”
“I am afraid that I am already sworn to the king girl.” He said voice dripping with sarcasm.
“You swore to him in front of the Seven we care not for your oath.”
“Enough of this run back to your father girl.” With that he made to leave but..
“Me and my huband can offer yoy many things and altough we cannot offer you your sister cunt, we can give you the opportunity to raise your children as your own-”
But he had stopped listening he drew his sword and slashed, she evaded again and again then she ran and he followed her deeper in the woods he would do what was necessary ‘The things i do for love.’ Yet he lost her.
“Over here”
‘When did she cilmb a tree?’
“You know if we are going to have this conversation shouting someone may hear us.” she almost shouted.
“Come down then.”
“Sheath your sword and I might.”
“You scared?” The fact that he was taunting a little girl and failing will come to him only later he had bigger problems to think about.
“I am not you cannot harm me.”
“Come down then!”
“As I was saying we will allow you to raise them as your own they will become bastards but they will get used to that, although it could be hard on Joffrey as his mother spoiled him rotten. Something will have to be done about him.”
“ENOUGH!”he was about to start climbing when she jumped down.
“I do not blame you for wanting to protect your family but that does not mean that you have to serve them-” she continued her speech uncaring of his attacks dodging them with ease. “You could serve us, we know everithing about you and want you in our service, mine specifcally, you are a good man ser Jaime you should think about it.”
He then ran again and this time he could not find her, he looked for her all night but to no avail.
The following morning he tied o approach his sister about it, altough how he was going to explain not being able to catch such a small girl he did not know, but Cercei did not le him near as they were approaching Winterfell.
Next thing he knew he was passing the gates.
“Winterfell is yours your grace” “you got fat” “show me to the cripts” “the dead can wait”
While the king was speaking all he could was stare at the girl ‘of course it had to be Stark’s daughter!! Yet she said she was not acting on her father command so maybe there was hope but.... fuck!’
In the meantime Arya was smiling from ear to ear well she was until the king demanded to see the ctypts and Stark agreeded, her face lost all emotion.
The night of the feast the girl approached him.
“Ser Jaime”
“If your father acts without proof my father will declare a war.” He was aware of how he sounded but he had no other choiche he was surrounded, in enemy territory.
“My father knows nothing ser, he could find out eventually if he comes to the capital to act as hand. Here only me and my husband know. Have you thought about my proposal?”
“I mean to refuse. And forgive me but who wold your husband be? I was not aware Stark’s daughter was wed.”
“Would you like to meet him? He arrived this morning, but he is otherwise occupied a the moment what about three days from now? The hour of the wolf, the Godswood?”
“I guess that works for me.”
“Oh and if you are thinking of refusing out of love for your sister I would have you know that she would leave you in a heartbeat for power, plus that whore would basically fuck anyone... anyone that is blonde anyway even her own children, she is a narcisiss after all.”
“Listen you little-”
“Arya! What are you doing!?” Said lord Stark who was quickly approaching.
“Ser Jaime was telling me about his adventures father!” She replied with childish enthusiasm, he himself was almost fooled.
“I see well enough with you tonigh go to bed.”
“Yes father.”
“I would like it if you stayed away from my children lord Jamie.” Spat the honorable Ned.
“Then tell them not to approach me Stark”
“I will.”
‘So hounarable Ned Stark does not know? Good all I have to do then is kill the girl and her ‘huband’ in three days’ —she would fuck anyoun that’s blonde even her own children— ‘lies’ he tought ‘my sister loves me’.
In the following days when he guarded his sister horiced some things. How she would ignore her yunger children, the way she treated Joffrey, the way she looked at him sometimes, it was the same look that she had given him. ‘No she is just messing with my head’.
That evening he went to Cersei but he did not tell him about the girl.
“Sister”
“What is it Jamie”
“It’s about Joffrey-” she started panicking.
“Is he hurt? What happend?! Where is he?”
“Calm down sister he is well.”
“Jaime what the hell you scared me! Well what about him then?”
“Today there was a commotion on the training yard he wanted to use live steel against Robb Stark.......”
“That unwashed northman wanted to hurt my son!?!”
“That is not what i was talkig about, he...... He is not under controll Cersei he-”
“ENOUGH! Who are you to tell me that, we talked about this you are not to interfere with my children lives, you should stay away from them they are mine!! She whisper-shouted.
“Sister-”
“I am the Queen! You should remember your place ser! Now GET OUT!” She said this time shouting for real.
“Cersei-”
“OUT”
“Yes your grace”
He went out and stood he was on turn afterall and he thought, he thought about them like never did before ‘they are not my children the were my seed that grew in my sister belly, I did not raise them, they never called me father’ yet his excuses were getting weaker.
‘Maybe I shoud accept her offer.....’ he lot out a laugh ‘i shoud hear myself what does that girl know? What can she do?’
Chapter 7: Aegon
Notes:
This chapter start in the morning right before the King gets to Winterfell. Also this chapter is mainly dialogue as I like writing them and I am not really good at descriptions.
Chapter Text
Aegon
He was late. That was not good. Nymeria too was still returning home from her trip to the Riverlands. His wife was alone and tonight was the night they were supposed to talk to Jamie and kcnock some sense into his head.
Not that he did not trust her wife with that mind you she was good at getting men to follow her, she was born a leader it has always been her destiny still he should be by hes side!!!!
He arrived at dawn and made his presence known to the guards, that escorted him to the Lord solar.
“Good morning Lord Stark.” he greeted.
“Is that all you have to say?”
“Did you break your fast yet?”
“Don’t joke around Jon where were you.” He stood and walked towards the entrance and closed the heavy oak door so that nobody could hear them, well no one but her.
“Who is my mother?”
“JON this is not the time-”
“That is not my name lord Stark.”
Ned went pale “what....what are you taling about, son?”
“That was not the name my mother gave me.”
“Jon-”
“ENOUGH! Would you have ever told me? Why did you not tell me already? Why did you let your wife treat me this horribly if I was not a bastard?!?”
“Telling Catelyn was not an option she-”
“Why would you tell her!? No, I know she could not have been trusted with such a secret but why did you let her mistreat me?”
“So people woud believe-”
“Believe what?! that you cared for you bastard enough to bring him home but were too honorable to give a fuck?”
“JON-” He hit the desk with monstruos strenght and said ice in his tone.
“My name is Aegon Targaryan trueborn son of Reaghar Targaryan and Lyanna Stark. Say it uncle!”
“JON-”
“SAY IT, SAY MY NAME!!”
“....Aegon”
Aegon exiled. “Was that so hard?” the previous rage gone, how fast he flipped emotion actually scared Ned.
“So what are we going to do now?” He asked as he took a seat.
“What?”
“What was your plan uncle?”
Ned steeled himself and replied sternly.
“Robert is king.”
“I know. So? What was your plan for me?”
“I could have given you a keep-”
“Could have? Not would have? So you had no plan and now you are making stuff up? Don’t you know that to rule a keep I would have to be legittimized? You were not able to give me a room in the family wing but you were going to give me the Stark name? How? When? Where was Lady Stark during this?” He grew quiet but not because he had not meant to call that Tully bitch lady Stark (that was her wife title and hers alone) but because he heard something.
The door slammed open.
“Jon you are back!” Shouted Robb.
“Robb.... this is not the moment.” He said trough gritted teeth.
“What are you talking about I am sure father will forgive yo-” but the words got stuck in is throat, he had never seen his father so distressed.
“What’s going on Fath-”
“Get out Robb.”
“But Father-”
“Jory!” His uncle captain of guards came inside.
“Yes my lord?”
“Escort my son outside and let no one in.”
“Yes my lord but…”
“But what?”
“The kings banners have been spotted they will be here by noon.” Ned fists clenched
“I see go now.”
“Come lord Robb”
“But-”
“Come.”
Robb reluctantly followed the guard outside. It pained him to see his cousin hurt but this was not the moment for that.
“Tell me uncle if I were to stake my claim to the throne could I count on you?” He asked sinerly, a little bit of hope in his voice.
“I have a duty, Robert is my king.” Aegon rolled his eyes.
“Aerys was your king and my father after him.”
“The mad king killed your uncle and your grandfather!!”
“And so you choose family over duty, yet you would not do it again?”
“This is different! I love him like a brother and he is the king I choose.”
“And yet he is not your brother, your brother, your true brother is at the wall. Why?” Ned was taken abeck by the sudden change in topic.
“It was his decision.” He scoffed.
“He was a boy you were the head of the house. You could have made him stay.”
“There is honor in joining the watch.”
“Yes for rapists, thieves and murderers. Ahh..... so here’s what we are going to do: I will stay here during the king’s visit, I will enjoy the feast, and then I will ride with uncle Benjen to castle black. What?” His uncle was looking at him increduly.
“Nothing just, you would take the black? After everything you said? Why?”
“Why? Well what choice do I have?”
“You could just stay here.”
“Really?”
“Yes Jon.. I mean Aegon, you are my blood. And I have loved you as I have all my other children.”
Aegon was a grown men, aegon had seen wars, he had fought the white walkers, yet now he was tired and right now he was vulnerable, he wanted to believe him because he was his father, he was the men that raised him.
“What about your lady wife? Will you correct her behaviour?”
“Jon.. Cat is a proud woman....” This was it, his uncle would do nothin to support him.
“Of course she is. Well then excuse me” with that he left and after going to take is stuff form his horse he went to his room, where is wife was waiting for him with a warm meal.
“So how did the talk with Jaime go?”
She just raised an eyebrow.
“The king will name him hand and he will leave even if he doesn’t send me away his wife will-”
“Yeah lady ‘Stark’ will have no problem dismissing her ‘husband’’s words and send you away.”
“Love-”
“You used the wrong name. Because you were soo mad that you were not thinking straight.” It was a statement, not a question. “What troubles you my love? Did Arthur not join us? Are you worried for Dany?”
“I encountered three White Walkers.” Arya jusn nodded and took a seat on his lap cuddling into him.
“Were they the reason you were late?”
“They killed my horse. I had to go on foot for a while. I ran out of food. I was hungry it had been some time since i truly felt hunger.”
“Is that a good thing or a bad thing?”
“I don’t know, but it will pass I just have to get used to the fact that I am vurnerable again.”
“I understand.” He let out a bitter laugh.
“Do you?”
“Rickon is alive.”
At that he went silent for a while, ‘of course, the fact that everybody that we lost is alive again also means that we could lose all over again’ ‘would she be able to withstand it this time?’ He will not find out, they were both tired but now they had people to protect and they would keep fighting. He ate. Arya made to leave.
“Wife. I am sorry I was late. Yet i have brought you somenthing.” He said to her retreating back.
She smiled eyes knowing and shining, he was glad he could still give her true smiles. “a present?”
“Now this is no toy” he took out a very sharp sword whose hilt was ruined beyond recognition.
“You are as beautiful as I remembered.”
“Well thank you-”
“Shut up!” She snached Dark sister from his hands.
“First rule-”
“I know which end to use. I am going to need-”
“Of course i will gift you needle as well.”
“I love you”
“As do I”
They shared a kiss a longer one, one more intimate, they both needed one another yet they knew that soon the would be apart again.
Chapter 8: Arya
Notes:
Sorry for the short chapter but the next POV is just long enough that I want it alone.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Arya
These months had been peacefull she had spent all her time with her fammily and training.
Apart fromguiding Nymiria to Jojen, guiding Arhtur once he was on this side of the wall and keeping her brothers minds safe that day, she had done nothing, she had not starved, she was not hurt, she slept! Thinghs could not be better.
But now it would end and she had to act her part. So she messed up her hair and charged into the knight.
“You are here.....” “what’s the matter youn-” “quickly.......the prince” and then she ran. But not so fast that he would not be able to follow her altough she had to admit he was pretty fast for a man his age. She led him to the Godswood where her husband was waiting in front of the heart tree.
“What is the meaning of this?” Said the knight.
“I apologize for the deciet ser Barristan, I had my sister bring you here because I wanted to discuss some things with you, you see I would like to have you in my service-”
“You are lord Stark bastard, Jon Snow. Listen boy I do not know what this is about but-”
“I am not a bastard my father wedded my mother on the isle of faces, and my name is not Jon my name is Aegon Targaryan and I would like to have you in my service.” Ser Barristan took a momnet to answer.
“I am sworn to Roberth Baratheon”
“Before that you were sworn to my grandfather, your life was not yours to give.”
“The Targaryan were dead.”
“Not all.”
“I have made my decision.” His responses grew waker and weaker.
“But at tha time it was not your decision to make. So what if I did give it to you?”
“Give me what?”
“A choice. I will release you from your oath and declare the one you swore to my cousin invalid. In that case what would you do?”
“You have no such power.”
“Why would you not follow me ser? Do you think Robert makes a good king? I was told you were aware of the state of the realm of how the capital is invaded by Lannister, of how the king is beggardring the throne with his constant drinking, whoring and feasting. How do you think the crownlands are gonna fare this coming winter? To add to that the crown prince Joffrey is a cruel, selfish bastard and he is not fit to be king either don’t you agree?”
“And what makes you worthy?”
“Why don’t you decide that for yourself?”
“So you want me to be part of your king’sguard-”
“No I plan on making a new order the royalguard....”
They kept talking but arya coul see the doubt in ser Barristan eyes, her husband had him. There was nothihg to do for her there so she went to her knight and she found him in a screaming match with his sister ‘so tonight we will have you too huh’.
She retired to her rooms but found she could not rest. She wondered if the old knight will be there that night, probably so, ‘will our watcher be there as well?’
Supper came and went and she retired to bed early. Then she used the secret passages of winterfell to go near the goodswood, she had to neautralize the guards before her knight came, a pinch of sweet slip will do the trick.
Then she waited and waited then she started walking a man following her.
“You are late. You made my husband wait.” He had passed her half a turn of the hourglass before the meeting time.
“Well he made me wait three days I am barely an hour late.”
“He will like you. But you will serve me and you cannot make me wait.”
‘A girl is not sane enough for that.’
“What makes you think that I will serve you?”
She stopped and turned to face him he wanted to believe in us but didn’t not quite yet anyway. ‘No metter he will follow us once he meets Jon’.
Notes:
Ser Barristan is the other person I misplaced, I know he was supposed to be with Renly in the capital, but he is not.
Chapter Text
Jaime
He could strike now, she was unarmed and she was showing he back. Even if she heard him draw his sword she would not be able to do anything. He just had to walk a little faster, get closer and strike it was as easy as that. Yet instead of walking faster he slowed down.
“I wanted to fuck my brother too you know? But I was lucky not only did he love me back he was not my brother at all. I am sorry you were not as lucky as I was.”
“What?”
“We are here.”
They had arrived to the heart tree. Under it there was a boy dressed all in black.
“You are Stark bastard.”
“Why does everybody keep telling me that? I don’t resemble him at all.”
“I am sorry but you do resemble Stark.”
“I know that yet i do not resemble his bastard at all.”
“If you are not Ned’s bastard then who are you?”
He turned toward the girl.
“You are in the presence of Aegon Targaryen trueborn son of Reaghar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, rightful heir to the Iron Throne.”
Jaime frooze and kept staring at him, at the son of his prince, he had the stark colouring yet his feature were more elegant, his stature lean ‘like the prince’.
“Kingslayer.”
“Yes?!” He was startled out of his trance and he saw him. Ser Barristan Selmy was standing to the side disdain clear in his eyes.
“You are staring.” He spat, he diverted his eyes. His prince shut the old knight up raising his hand.
“Did my wife inform you of our proposal?”
“She said you know everything of me and that you want me in your service, hers particulary. But why would you want me? I could kill you like I did your grandsire.” At this Selmy hand went to the hilt of his sword.
“You could afterall I intend to show you my back pretty often, you should know thought that if you plan to kill either me or my wife you should kill us both, as the one that stays alive will take revenge.”
This was not an answer that he was expecting. His usual arrogant smirk faded a bit and he kept silent.
“Or you coud swear a new oath to us in front of the old gods. You could swear to obey and defend my wife and all that is hers as the second member of our royal guard and that you recognize Arya of House Stark wife of Aegon Targaryen VI as your queen, in front of the old gods. And this will be the only oath that we will require you to follow. A member of the royal guard hold no lands yet you can wed and have children with our leave.”
“That being said you are required to follow the law unless I say otherwise, which bans brotherly incest so there is that.” Said the little wolf.
“What?! What does she mean?! Asked the old knight.
“SILENCE! Ser Brarristan you are only here to observe so keep your mouth shut!”
“But as I promised you once we take the throne and possibly even before that I will allow you to claim the children as your own who knows maybe your brother will legitimaize them.” She contined positioning herself between him and the King.
“My brother?”
“We were planning on making him the lord of Casterly Rock”
“And what of my father? What will you do with him?” Steel had returned to his voice.
“That depends on his resistance on our reign.”
“You will not seek revenge for his half-sibling death?” Aegon spoke up.
“Oh that we will, but it was not your father that ordered their death he had sent people to secure them, so basically kidnapping , it was your sister that sent the mountine and armory lorch to kill, how did she defined my stepmother?, the unwashed-”
“Dornish slut, she uses unwashed for men and northmen in particular.” Said the wolf girl. ‘How the fuck does she know that?!’
“Right the dornish slut out of spite and jelousy. And she shall recieve no mercy.” The king spoke with an air of finality and he knew he could not change his mind. And did he want to? What happen to Elia and her children was one of his biggest regret still.
“Yet I will try to make sure that your brother, your daughter, and your second son, will survive the coming conflicts.”
“And why would you do that?!”
“Because House Stark is indebted with you Kingslayer.” He gritted his teeth. “Because as you were killing the pyromancer and the king my father and two of our most impostant bannermen were riding trough the city and at it not been for you they would have been burned by wild fire with all of Kingslanding.” Selmy face drained of all color. Yet the girl kept an even face.
“I told noone-”
“Yes you did, you told your sister and she basically didmissed you as she is wont to do. You should have told my father-”
“Your father judjed me gulty the moment he stepped in the throne room-”
“Of course he did! He is an idiot!” That outburst suprised Jamie.
“An idiot who values honor too fucking much so much so that you would think him an Arryn and not a Stark. But he IS a good men and could have helped you save your name and together you could have taken care of all the the wild fire that is STILL under the city but NOO you had to get sulky. I mean do you have any idea what could happen?!? What if the dornish flipped out and decided to burn you all?!” “Arya” “Or think about an attack on the city it is stored in frail crates that are under the city, if a catapult attacked Kingslandig would go up in flames!!!” “Sister” ”Or worse what if they are not discovered until Joffrey reing or Cersei finds them and decides to use them because she thinks of nothing but herself!!!” “Wife” the prince had put his hand on her shoulder shutting her up, she had started crying but he had not noticed, he was busy immaginig the senarios that she was painting.
“Kingslayer.” He looked at her again she had regained her composure and while dried tears stained her cheecks her expression had held no emotion.
“What will it be? Will you kneel to me? Will you try to attack us breaking the laws of hospitsality in front of the old gods? Will you just walk away? I’d like you to make your decision I grow tired you see.”
He did not hesitate he drew his sword and got closer to the little wolf. Barristan made to step in and Aegon glared at him.
He took a knee and laid his sword at her feet.
“I ser Jamie Lannister, the Kingslayer, recognize Arya of House Stark wife of Aegon Targaryen sixth of his name as my queen and I swear to obey and protect her and hers as the second member of the royal guard for the rest of my days.”
“Rise ser Jamie”
“Yes your grace.”
She was smiling but anyone coul see how tired she was, for the first time he realized that in front of him was a nine year old girl.
“Hm...your graces?”
“Yes ser Barristan” said the king.
“I.. I as well-”
“I would be honored to have you in my service ser.”
The old knight approached the king and bended the knee.
“I ser Barristan Selmy, the Bold, recognize Aegon Targaryen sixth of his name, son of Reaghar Targaryan and Lyanna Stark, as my king and I swear to obey and protect him and his as the third member of the royal guard for the rest of my days.”
“Rise ser.”
He stood. They both lowered their voices.
“So what will we tell him.”-Arya
“We should thell him everything.”-Aegon
“I don’t think that is wise.”
“I shall tell him to meet you on the morrow.”
“Will you escort me out ser Jaime? I grow tired you see.”
“Yes your Grace.” As they were leaving he could hear the king’s voice and understood.
Notes:
So they are playing mind games with Jaime so they don’t want Selmy to interrupt, but in general Jon will expect his guards and subjects to obey him without question, while Arya will give explanations and be at a level with her guard… for now.
Chapter 10: Ser Barristan - Robb
Notes:
Ser Barristan is mainly a spectator and it will stay this way for another one of his chapters at least.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Barristsan
“Ser could you please go pick my cousin up an escort him here? He is hiding behind those bushes.”
“Yes your grace.”
He went in the diretion his king pointed and sure enough gound the young Lord Robb Stark chrouching and looking at him with wide eyes.
“If you would follow me.”
“Y-Yes” the young boy said blushing.
He led him to his king and stood guard and listened to the conversation.
“Did you hear everything or was our voice too low?”
“I heard.”
“I see I wanted to come to speak to you but I had been busy-”
“Busy doing what? Fucking my sister?!”
“Arya has not flowered yet we have not consumated our marriage.”
“......You are my cousin.”
“Yes.”
“Reaghar raped-”
“My father did not rape my mother they wed in the Isle of faces and had me later. He did tough keep her in the Tower of Joy without a master against her will although if that was a good or a bad thing i do not know. She wanted to come back when she heard about grandfather and uncle Brandon.”
“What will you do?”
“I will take the throne.”
“Why?”
“Did you not hear what Arya said?”
“Yes but we could go tell father-”
“Your father is a good man, an honorable man but we cannot win the throne with honor. He cannot help us he would fight to keep Robert on the throne but Robert is not a good king nor is he a good man a shame uncle does not see that. The crown is in debt, dorne is plotting revenge, the reach is not happy as they want Margaery to be queen but that is not happening, Stannis knows about the bastards and has fled the capital because he think the Lannister poisoned the previus hand when he was poisoned by-” the king exhaled.
“War will come Robb but uncle will not declare for me until Robert and mayaphs Stannis are dead.”
“So what will you do?”
“We have a plan.”
“That’s it you are not going to tell me anithing else, I will be the Stark in winterfell-”
Sigh “You are not a Stark.”
“…What?” The king sighed yet again.
“You are not a Stark. Uncle wedded your mother in a sept not in a goodswood and when she came north and your father asked if she had presented you at the tree of riverunn she said she already did yet she had not. Nor did she present Sansa. I don’t know the details but i know that she had him wed her again in the godswood before Arya was coincived in the hope that pleasing him she could convice him to send me away and do you remember what happened after Arya was born?”
“Mother could not rise for a week.”
“Yes so Arya was presented to the gods by uncle, yet when Catelyn saw that it did not work she did a sort of clensing ritual, where she renounced the Old Gods.”
“You expect me to believe that?”
“Your mother renouncing a faith that are not the Seven sounds unbelievable to you?”
The boy voiced Barristan thought.
“I hope you understand how crazy you sound.”
‘Have I made the wrong choiche? Again?
“Do you require proof?”
“Do you have it.”
“Not exacly, you should go to Arya for that she will be the leader of your house.”
“She is a child.”
“Go to her. Tomorrow. Now its late.” With that his king left and he followed. Leaving a very confused boy behind.
“Ser I know it will not be easy but I am going to need you to remain in Robert service for a time, my cousin cannot know about me yet.”
“I understad your grace.”
“Once you pass the Neck choose a port, distance yourself from the king party when they are about to reach castle Darry and sail a ship to Braavos, I will meet you there.”
“Yes your grace.”
They exited the Godswood and went separete ways.
Robb
“Robb.”
That starled him, he lifted up hi head. His father was standing over him.
“What are you doing here son?”
“I...I” what was he doing there? He was following his brother to maybe understand why had he been away and where he went. And then his whole word shattered.
“Robb.” Father was starting to worry.
‘Father cannot know’
“Yes. Yes.” He stood and looked around, morning had come.
“I.. I was praying.” He knew how weak he sounded but he was just so lost.
“Did Jon tell you?”
‘That is not his name.’
“Told me what?” He managed to sound a more convincing this time and was overly proud of it. His lord father studied him for a time that seemed forever.
“Nothing. You should go break your fast, your mother should be in the great hall already.”
“Yes father.”
He exited the Godswood and gathered himself as was walking towards the great hall. There he saw his sister as she was walking out. -She will be the leader of your house-. She approached him and said. “Excuse yourself from the hunt, Father will not oppose and meet me in the cripts.” She was commanding him! The nerve! Yet he wanted the proof his cousing was speaking about so he held his tongue.
He sat at the table but found tha he had no appetite so he went to find his father again, like his sister said he didn’t oppose much and so he made for the cripts. He waited and waited finally.
“Hello brother.”
“Arya” she winced a little.
“Did Aaegon tell you?”-A
“He told me I am a bastard said you have proof.”-R
“I don’t.”-A
“What?!”
“I don’t have proof of your bastardy but you can go ask our parents who of us was presented properly to the Old Gods and who wasn’t as well as ask them about theire marriage ceremonies.”
“Then what was the point of me coming here?!”
“I am going to show you that I am the heir to winterfell and not you.”
“And how will you do that?”
“Come.” She went off and Robb followed down a flight of stair then another then another, the were reacing the seventh floor, the last floor that was accessible, yet when they got to the flight of stairs Arya just cut her right hand.
“What are you doing?!” She did not answer him, just proceeded to draw a simbol on one side of the entrance then she drew it on the other but nothing changed she made to get in and disappered.
“Arya? Arya! ARYA!”
“Stop shouting. This is a sacred place.” She was here again.
“Where did you-”
“Kneel.”
“Why?”
“Kneel.”
“Arya-”
“Kneel.” She wouldn’t budge and he wasnted answers so kneel he did. And she drew on his forehead also. He stood, the way was now clear.
“Come. ......Take a torch.” (The floors until floor seven are lit)
Robb obeyed and hesitantly followed his sister.
‘How is this possible?’ He wanted to ask but felt like his sister would just ignore him again.
They kept going down. and as they were going he felt a chill down his spine, it was like the old kings of winter were staring at him, giudging him, he felt his stomach turn, ‘i do not belong here’, he realized sadly, he stopped.
“I do not belong here.” He wispered, he did not know if Arya had heard him but she must have for she had stopped as well even if she did not turn her head to face him.
“No you don’t. You are not a Stark. Not yet anyway.”
“But I could be!?” She started walking again. He followed.
“Bastards have been legittimized before, you were born in the light of the seven” she spat “yet you have a bond in greywind, you are not worth a damn as a warg but if I am right, and I usually am, you could be a builder and soon house Stark will......” she turned around to face him and stared at him for a while. He did not move until she turned again.
“Yes you could be. Yet a legittimized bastard claim is lower than a trueborn daughter that has to be clear Robb.” They arrived to a door. She turned.
“I want you to be a Stark brother but that will mean that you be by my side not I yours you will have to be the one to follow. You will probably have to hold Winterfell but your children will not have it after you. Will you try to usurp my birthright brother?”
“It was mine-”
“Father told you it was yours Mother told you it was yours but it never was.” And here he knew that she was right he knew that he was not supposed to be there. Arya paused.
“Will you try to usurp my birthright brother?”
‘Will I?’
He did not know and told her as much. At that she smiled why he could not tell. He did not think it a good answer. Then she oppened the door and the and le the way to a small halley there were two other doors she approached one.
“Turn around brother.” And turn he did. She had unsheated the kinife again. A bit of time passed, then he eard the door open.
“Come.” Robb could not believe his eyes. Gold! So much gold! He did not understand and turned to Arya waiting patiently for an explanation. Again she smiled at him.
“The Stark have held the north for thousands of years. A lot of this was here since the ages of heroes and it grew during the generations. Obviusly there were some generations that spent a grat deal like Brandon the shipwriter, that used the money to reinforce the fleet that sailed west but most spent a little then returned more or what they could. But some generations ago we forgot about this place in fact father does not know of it. but the knowledge of this place and how to get here were told from lord of Winterfell to his heir for centuries. The first time I was here I was-” silence.
“You were?”
“Did you choose yet? Was this proof enough?”
“What did I have to choose?”
“You have to accept the fact that you are my bastard brother and that Winterfell is mine.”
“And what is the other option?” And while he asked he already knew what his choiche would be. She smiled. She was starting to irritate him, it was as if she knew what his answer would have been from the start.
“You youd keep pretending to be trueborn, I would not legittimize you, mayaps I would legittimize Rickon so that there would be a Stark in Winterfell, you will not be able strenghten the north or at least not as much as you could with my instruction, knowledge and resources, the third option is run to father and tell him that we mean to take the throne in that case me and my husband would flee, but we would come back and take what is ours then I would have to either exile you or imprison you. Know that if you choose the first option I would expect obedience from you brother.” She sent him a pointed look and raised an eyebrow, yet he kept silent, he had made a chiche yet he needed time to think all the same, he was not raised to abey his nine year old sister after all.
She sighed and said: “Tonight, hour of the wolf, the godswood. Don’t be late. Come now.”
They went outside in silence it was already noon when they exited the cripts and they entered the great hall to have a meal.
Notes:
I think Robb is an exceptinal warrior and war strategist I gave Winterfell to Arya because I think the fact that she is the only one to get the Stark coloring means something.
Chapter 11: Arya - Tyrion
Chapter Text
Arya
The atmosphere in the all was tense. Her husband was sitting on the raised daias with her brothers and the Lannister family minus the crown prince and the king that were still huting with her father, ser Barristan had managed to stay behind.
‘Father must have told mother that he could do as he pleased and then he would join the watch’. She and Robb sat and their mother glared at them and said nothing.
The lannister Bitch and the Tully (she is her mother only when she is not insulting hes husband or acting southerner) one were both looking bad at her husband. She saw that her husband was quite happy to displease them both but those two should not have the privilege of dining with him! Then Aegon delight to be displeasing them subsided and he started to get bother by their arrogance.
“Ser Jamie, are you on duty today?” She asked breaking the silence.
“No my lady, why?”
“I see... so could you spar with my brothers this afternoon? It is not every day that such a great knight gets to Winterfell and-”
“ARYA! Stop bothering ser Jamie!” Her mother scolded her.
“Actually my lady i-“
“I am afraid my brother is quite busy this afternoon little lady he is to be my guard.”
She eyed ser Barristan, Boros Blunt, and Meryn Trant that were sanding behind the ‘queen’, the ‘prince’ and the ‘princess’ respectively.
“Does that mean you are free ser Barristan?”
“Listen-” but the queen did not get to finish that sentence.
“Yes it does my lady. Would you be intrested young lords?”
“Well-” Robb started.
“YES!”
“Brandon! Remember your manners”
“Yes mother. I would be honored ser.” The warmt that filled her at seeing her brother so thrilled was so strong that that streched her usal small smile into a wide grin.
“I also would be honored, ser Barristan” said Robb.
“Am I also invited?” She turned to se her husband speak up a bit surprised, not that it showed.
“I don’t see why not.” Both bitches were about to protest Catelyn in particular was mad with rage.
“May I also join them mother?” The little price was quite cute actually, face scrunced up all full of hope.
“No!” The queen screeched.
“But-”
“Lady Catelyn you should teach your children some manners, not to mention there are some companies that do not befit princes and lords I do not know how you stand to have them at your table.” She left in ushering her two young children and guards.
Her mother in the meantime was still deciding if she should be offended by the queen words or agree with her. It was quite funny actually. In the end she decided to leave Sansa a few steps behind her.
“If you’ll excuse me sister” she nodded subtly to her older brother that left with the others toward the sparring ground.
“Lord Lannister.” She turned to the dwarf she and him were the only ones left at the table.
“Lady Arya-”
Tyrion
“Stark.” The little girl inteceded.
“Beg your bardon?”
“Lady Stark or just Stark really or well actually I tend to respond to whattever title as long as it does not have my name in it.”
‘Is she crazy or what?’
“I..... I see... well my lady-”
“Could you pass me the wine my lord?”
For the second time he tought he might have miseheard her.
“I’m sorry?”
She kept staring at him, a wolfish grin plastered on her face. ‘Is she truly nine?’
“Would you pass the wine? my mother is not here you see and I am quite parched.”
“I don’t think that you should drink wine little lady.”
“Little lady.... hm... okay I’ll take it. after all I am a lady and I am little. I have heard you play cyvasse. Would you care for a match?”
“You know how to play? I was not aware thet it was a known game this far north. It is a game popular it Dorne after all.”
“You will find that I know many things Lord Lannister-”
“Tyrion is fine my lady.”
“Is it my lady again? So the game? given that you have a board with you.”
“You know how to play yet you do not have a board?”
“Exactly! Nor do I have an opponent. So?”
The lack of both pity and repulsion in her eyes made him pause.
“I have a board.”
“Wonderful! So I think it better we play here, me having honor and all that. The servants are waiting for us to stand to come and clean up. Back here in an hour?”
“It works for me.” She stood and left.
‘What the fuck just happend?’
In a bit of a daze he made for his rooms, came out 45 minutes later he was in the hall the board set.
An hour later she did not show.
‘Have I been palyed by a little girl?’ He was quick to think that but waited all the same.
She arrived 10 minutes late holding a tray with wine, water and two cups.
“Have I made you wait?”
“Not at all my lady.”
“No I have. I apologize. I was guarding a tower.”
“..I see.”
“Well then let us start.”
“Of course.”
(A little into the game.)
“May I ask my lady why did you wish to play with me? Was it just the lack of opponents?”
“I wish to be your friend Tyrion.”
Now that was unexpected.
“Truly?”
“Is it weird?”
“Well usually little ladies do not wish to be in my company.” He replied bitterly.
“That is true but you will find that i don’t often act like a normal nine year old.”
“Will I?”
“Good Gods I hope so.” As f to prove her point she rached for the wine and poured herself a cup. And falshed him a grin.
“Will you tell on me? You’d be a terrible friend if you did.” He foud hiself grinning back.
“Your secret is safe with me.”
“An how will I know that? Here’s a tought I could make you my accomplice.” He poured a cup for him also.
“You make me sad my lady a friend would simply trust me to keep her secrets.” But he reached for the cup all the same.
“Truly? I confess I do not have many friends to speak of.”
“Nor do I” ‘now why the fuck did I say that’
“That’s odd”
“How so?”
“You are quite the powerfull man and the heir of casterly rock, plus your company is quite enjoyable.”
“Well here I was thinking you wanted to be my friend when you wanted the Rock, I must say I am quite disappointed my lady. Not to mention thai you would achieve more seducing prince Tommen.” He tried to keep his tone light.
“Mh... and why sould that be?” She replied unfazed.
“My father does not wish to give me the rock.”
“True but he has good reason or at least he believe he does.”
“You are not being a very good friend you know.”
“How so?”
“You said that me being a dwarf i good enough reason-”
“I never said that.”
“You said-”
“I said that he believes he has a reason and would his assumption be true he’d have it. you assumed that I was talking about your appearence when I wasn’t, nor am I talking about your whoring or how it started-”
“Carefull of how you speak! How do you know about that?”
“You stopped the game. It is your turn you know has been for a while.”
He turned towards the board he had not taken any of her strong pieces to keep playing with the child, she had not taken nothing of not either. She took another cup of wine.
“Why does my father not want to give me the rock?”
“Preraps at the end of the match I will answer you.”
“Fine.” He would stop toying with her right now, he would finish the match quicly and demand answers.
(Two hours later.)
“You were toying with me.” He said.
“As were you.” Could nothing faze this girl?
(Another hour passed.)
“I have won!”
‘How?! It is like she knew all my strategies.’
“So will you tell me? The match is over.”
“It is but you have lost.”
“You never said I had to win.”
“No, no I didn’t. Yet i said preraphs.”
“What?!”
“I said preraphs i never said that I would tell you for sure.” Angry did not quite describe what he was felling but was close enough.
“So you will not tell me?”
“Not today no but I will tell you. One day if we become friends. After all i would need to explain how I know and how could I help you prove it, but I do not trust you yet.”
Now she was looking at him and not at the board and he could tell that she was sencere, there was also something foreing in her eyes an emotion he could not quite point out. His anger almost disappered as he held her gaze.
“Then I shall gain your trust.”
“You could start by apologizing.” That took him aback.
“What for?”
“You called me whore.”
“When did I do that?”
“When you assumed that I was seducing you to get the rock and when you said that I should seduce the young prince instead. I assure you I have no interest in the rock and I a have already decided my husband and his name is not lannister.”
Again she was sensere. So he stood and bowed.
“I apologize for offending you my lady.”
“I accept your apologies Tyrion. It seen we will not be able to have another match today.”
“It is quite late..” he concede. The preparations for supper had already started.
“I hope I will be able to play again with you during our travels.”
“Our traverls my lady?”
“Have you not heard I am coming south.”
“Unfortunatelly I was not planning to return south with the king.”
“And where will you go?”
“To see the wall.”
“And take the black? The whores will go begging from Dorne to castlery Rock.”
Not for the first time today he was left spechless by this child.
“I merely meant to visit.”
“A shame nonetheless. I had hope to speak with you in the following months. Goodbye my lord.”
“Goodbye my lady.”

Chapter Text
Danearys
She was seated with her husband to be by her side, a chest was presented to her as a wedding present, inside three dragon eggs when someone approached he was not clad in an attire suited for the climate, to Dany he appeared to don clothes similar to the man that gifted her books.
“I am here to challenge you Khal Drogo” the man said and drew his sword.
The Khal stayed calm and drew his arakh.
Dany stood and distanced herself from them, she was scared, she didn’t understand what was happening even if she was already told that murder was considered auspicious she did not expect to see her husband murder someone so close to her… and she didn’t as not much later the headless corpse of her husband to be hit the ground. Faster than she could see 4 men attacked the stranger shouting while chaos reinged.
The stranger emerged victourious yet again and approache her what she did not expect was to see him kneel.
“My princess I was sent here by order of the king to excort you and the prince to safety.”
She had no time to respond.
“How dare you do that! Who are you!” Her brother was by her side.
“I am here to escort you and the princess to safety.”
“We were safe you imbecille we were about to gain an army to sail to westeros. Did the usurper send you? Are you one of his dogs?!”
“I am not! I serve the Targaryans. Prince Vis-”
“I am the King! My mother crowned me king in dragostone! Someone that serves the Targaryans shoud know that! I will ask you again who are you!”
“My name is ser Arthur Dayne the Sword of the Morning and I come to bring you and the princess to bravos by order of king Aegon Targaryan the sixth of his name.”
“I tought that my nephew was dead.” She spoke up for the first time.
“Who cares if that dornish half blood is alive or dead I AM THE KING-”
The man knoked her brother out. But as much as he hurt her he was still her king.
“How dare you hurt the dragon.” She said as she ran at her brother side.
Arthur
‘They are fucking insane! As mad as Areys was! The king must not have known how far gone they were!’
‘You swore to obey and obey me you will’ ‘you are to bring them to braavos at any cost’
He looked around and saw a man a large man that reminded him of the commander.
“Are you Jorah Mormont?” The man approached.
“And what if I am?”
“I have a letter for you.”
He gave the letter to him and turned to the princess.
“My princess I was also told to retrieve a chest of eggs do you know were they are?” He said somewhat gently to the distressed girl.
The girl glanced in the direction of the chest before she could stop herself and the knight went and retrieved the egg and put them uncerimoiusly in a bag they were to be sold for richers after all.
When he came back Mormont had finished reading and had decided to go with him so the northman threw the uncuncious prince over his shoulder and proceded to follow the knight.
Aegon
He was loading his chest in the cart of supplies to the wall when someone approached him.
“Can I help you ser Barristan?”
“If I may, why are you going to the wall? Surely you will not be taking-”
“I’m going to visit someone and I need speak with the commander.”
The king made a shooing motion as he heard another figure approaching from the other side of the cart.
“Jon! What are you doing?”
“Loading my stuff uncle.”
“The wall will not care for pretty dresses and trinckets boy, should have packed lighter.”
“There is space now that Tiryon decided not to come.”
“Tyrion? You two friends?”
“He made friends with Arya.”
“What?!” His uncle was aghast.
“What?” He replied nonplussed.
“When did those two interact?”
“I tought that you were not supposed to interfere in the politics of Westeros uncle.”
“Listen boy-”
“But if you must know they played cyvasse in the great hall a bunch of times.”
“What’s that?”
“A game.” he replied unhelpfully. When it became clear that he was not going to add anything else Benjen spoke again.
“So are are you ready to depart Jon?”
He turned around and leveled his uncle with a pointed look.
“Did you know?” His uncle stared at him but didn’t answer he decided that was answer enough.
“I just have to say goodbye.”
Notes:
Dany will grow, but at this point she was still loyal to her brother. And she will keep being loyal to her family.

Chapter Text
Arya
It had been a moon from their departure and they were going fucking slow and the wheelhouse were she was confined this day was not as confortable as it was supposed to be, seriusly why bother to go in such a thing if it was doing to shake this much? Altough that could easily be the fault of northen roads.
‘The was will mainly be in the north we have to built better roads, but with dragons it will be easy anyway and in anycase most of the tunnels should be in better condition than this blasted road.’
She was glad of the invitation tough because as Sansa was trying to charm the queen she had another objective being there. So she scooted closer to the little princess.
“What are you sewing?” She asked with a smile.
‘Who the fuck can sew in this condition.’
Myrcella then proceeded to talk about patterns and fabrics and stiches and such things with Arya nodding and agreeing and complimenting at all the right moments. Arya happily noted that she was not as ingrossed as Sansa would have been.
Arya had a good impression of the princess she was not vain, she was dutiful and smart, she enjoied sewing and knew what was espected of her so she acted accordingly she was also aware of her situation and knew that neither her ‘father’ not her mother truly loved her.
All that morning the queen had not truly looked at them in favor for watching sansa as if she was her personal fool and being lost in whatever scheme that bitch was cooking up now that she noticed her brother was not at her back and call anymore. While the little prince was tring at first before giving up and coming to his sister for anything he needed.
These two would be easy, Joffrey would be harder she had not decided what to make of him, he was spoiled and a bit cruel but she had seen worse and she truly wanted Jamie by her side and the only way she could come up with were his children and Tyrion.
In the coming weeks she went out of her way to join the company of the wheelhouse mainly to play with Tyrion and altough they could’t talk freely because the bitch was there she truly enjoed his company. Which caused the bitch to grow quickly to hate her.
Her ralationship with her sister was not going well either. After she came to know that Jayne was not to accompany her anymore she grew cross with her even more when her father came to know of her and Beth involvment in Arya ‘mistreatment’ and scolded them for it, now Sansa was alone in her trip south and that made her unsufferable a big consolation came from riding with her younger brother, ‘play spar’ with him and shooting arrows toghetr, the sneaking around and her brother giggles brouth her such joy.
She hoped that her plan to free the wolves the moment that they were in the riverlands would not destroy it all. Thankfully they had not noticed the absence af Nym by her side, her companion, now the size of a regular wolf, alredy it the riverlands to start a pack.
She was also feeling herself get stronger from all of her riding, daily and nightly training. Of course not as strong as she used to be but maybe without the starvation from her childhoond (and hopefully without it later in life) she would be even stronger.
Aegon
They will arrive at Castle Black soon, before noon, if you asked him they should not have stopped for the night, they coud have been at Castle Black at the our of the wolf, but his uncle had not asked him.
Finally they arrived and Aegon dismounted, he could be subtle, he could stay here for a time but he won’t.
He made a bee line for Thorne who was in the yard with some green boys. Thorne spotted him.
“And who do we have here the Stark bastard has come to join the w-”
“My name is Aegon Targaryan son of Reaghar Targaryan and Lyanna Stark and I am here to speak with the lord commander.”
A deathly silence followed, Aegon looked around at this time the majority of the watch sould be composed of Northeners, Targaryan loyalist, and petty criminals.
“What?” The man in front of him said.
“My name is Aegon Targaryan son of Reaghar Targaryan and Lyanna Stark and I am here-”
“JON WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!” This time his uncle reacted.
“I fail to see how that concerns you uncle. So ser Thorne if you cold guide me to the lord commander, I will also need someone to help me with the chests.”
“The chests?” Thorne replied dumbly.
Honestly he did not remember Thorne being so easily impressionable was this truly the man that he had such difficulty dealing with, the man who killed him? He shouldn’t be angry he and his wife had decided that they wouldn’t use the action of the past influence them expecially when the man in front of him was loyal to his family. Altough if he thought about it he doubted that Arya would hesitate a second if he asked her to kill him or judged him were he the one to kll him.
His internal musing bought time for his uncle to approach him and for Thorne to snap out of his stupor.
“I brought three chests with me from Winterfell and I need to show them to the lord commander.” Benjen appeared at his side and grabbed him.
“Jon stop this whit this madness.”
“I am not mad and you are being quite rude uncle unhand me.”
When Benjen started to drag him away Aegon shoved him of with such strenght that the man fell to the ground then he turned.
“So?” He asked Thorne.
“I will take you to the lord commander.” He replied hesitantly. The only reply that he recieved was a nod.
“You take care of the chests.” The old knight said pointing to some people.
“The second cart, the three chest in the far back.” He went throught great pain to make sure that his uncle didn’t ditch the chests togeter with the third cart that they had departed Winterfell with but didn’t take all the way to the wall.
“You will do no such thing-” his uncle tried to protest.
“What is going on here!?”
Everybody turned to see the Lord Commader Mormont there. And Aegon took a step toward him.
“Lord commander my name is Aegon Targaryan and I need to speak with you.”
Notes:
They had decided not go on with personal revenges as they have seen enough people die (literally everybody else) so that is why they accept both Thorne and Jaime. Thorne of course will stay at the wall so Jon will not have to deal with him.

Aemon
Why he was called to the Lord Commander solar he did not know. He was not one to listen to the wisper of other anyway, Mormont would tell him what is it that he needs.
He entered in a quiet, warm room and heard somebody stand, the young man with a good voice introduced himself and.... .
‘It’s not possible, but coult it be true? I thought they were all dead.’
He avanced towards the voice his somach colliding with the hand that the young man ‘his nepew’ had extented, his trambling hands made their way to the boy’s face, he could not believe it.
“I am a Targaryan but my coloring is Stark great-uncle, I have dark hair and dark gray eyes, I was told the almost look purple under certaint light but I don’t know the truth to that, I am quite lean like my father Reagar but it is true that I am still young to say for sure.” His nephew explained. The boy didn’t even object to him feeling his face
“H-how?”
“My uncle Lord Eddard Stark claimed me as his bastard and hid me in Winterfell.”
“Why are you here?”
“I came to visit you and to speak with the lord commander.”
Mormont that had been quiet during the reunion clared his throat and his nephew turned excaping his hold.
“Maester, please sit. The boy said that it shall be a long conversation.”
So he sat and heard the young man ‘Aegon’ do the same.
“So why are you here your Grace? The night’s watch doesn’t meddle with the affairs of the south, If you grew in the north you must know that.” Mormont started.
“So none of you will report my existance to my cousin Robert? Or my plans? Not even to my uncle?” Aegon replied.
“What?” The Lord Commander exclaimed in a deep northern accent.
“I am not here to ask you to meddle with southron politics I am here to talk about what lies beyond the wall.”
“And what is that? And why does it concerns you?”
“Why don’t you tell me. And why shouldn’t it.”
“I don’t have the time to play your games boy!”
He heard his nephew stand. Maybe he should intervene his line his famous to be quick to anger. But all the young king did was walk to the window.
“The watch is weak. It hes few men and little to no recources, I am a king, let us forget for a moment that I do not sit the Iron Throne, I am here shouldn’t you be informing me of your situation asking me to help your cause. Expecially now given your dire situation.”
“But you do not in fact sit the throne, you have no resource to speak of and what does a green boy know of our situation exactly?!”
The sharp-bitter laugh that came from Aegon spoke volumes in his opinion.
“You think differently nepew?” Aemon said, joining the conversation for the first time.
“.. I know that Mance leads an army 100 thousand strong, that force includes elderly, women and children, so roughly an active force 50 thousand strong, under his direct command are famous memebers of the freefolf like Tormund Giansbane, Orwell six-skins, the lord of Bones, the Magnar of the Thenns and last but not least roughly 100 giants riding armored mammoths. His army lacks discipline so it should be easy to attack and then force them to disperce, but they are united because they are scared, they are running from the others that have returned and you know that they have because you and, give or take a few, all your rangers know that Craster sacrifices all his male children to the cold ones.”
Aegon
Mormont’s staring at him but at least he his not outright laughing. Now all the commander needs to do is decide if the thing he knows for sure are proof enough to believe te rest.
As he let the man think he took a look around, after he got over his initial stupor Benjen’s face grew grave, Thorne was conflicted, he crearly didn’t believe him, the opposite situation from his great-uncle that whole hartedly believed him.
“So why are you here if you arleady know.... your grace?” The titled was added as an after tought but it wasn’t forced like before, more like hesitant.
“I am here to convince you to stop ranging, among other things.”
“Jon! You just said a great danger lies beyond the wall and you want us to do nothing about it?!” His uncle was appalled.
*Sigh*
“Ranging is a waste of resources already your last spedition stopped returning, why send more men to die?” He said slowly as if explaining something to a young child.
“And you would have us do nothing?” The Lord Commander demanded.
“I would have you prepare by reinforcing the castle and teaching your men, you have many builders and stewards but you lack soldiers and discipline as well, a part of your force is made of criminals and while it would be enough agains Mance it is not enough against the others. I brought you a chest filled with gold i suggest you repair as much as you can your castle, restok rations and train properly your men especially in archery.” That being said he walked to one of the chests and opened it, it was one of the few that stash of gold that belonged to after the conquest, back when Cregan Stark took kings landing, so they had golden dragons stamped on the coins.
The men stared at it, all but his great-uncle of course then Torne spoke for the first time.
“What’s in the other chests?”
Aegon shifted his sight to the chest that had wodden handles but was made of metal. Benjen recognized it at being the one Jon would always check on when they made camp.
When it was open steam came out of it. a blue dragon egg in a pile of coal. Aegon took it in his hand like nothing and went toward his great-uncle.
“When Jacarys Targaryan came to sing the pact of ice and fire his dragon left a cluster of eggs, these eggs never turned to stone as they were kept warm by the hot springs below Winterfell, I was told this belonged to you great-uncle.”
He was about to give out instructions when Aemon sprung to his feet ‘he probably feels the pull that one feels from one’s own mount’ and took the egg in his hands, went to the fire place took out a dagger from who knows where, cut his palm and bled on the egg before putting it in the fire place.
Aegon tought his great-uncle looked like a child, a child of his blood with unseeing eyes full of wonder and eagerness altought he could see the hope dim as time passed and nothing happend, so he got out of his stupor and kneeled by Aemond side.
“That won’t do great-uncle” he said as he reached in fire to pick the egg back up.
“It has to be a cut made from dragonglass. May I?” Picked up the uncut hand, cut it, had him bleed on the egg and put it back in the fireplace. Aemon ‘looked’ at his hand in wonder it had already healed. He passed the index finger of his other hand on his palm… not even a scar remained.
“It means the gods accepted your sacrifice.” Aegon explained.
*crack,crack**squials*
A second later he was stopping Aemon eager hands from reaching into the fireplace.
“Your dragons fire cannot hurt you but it will take time before your bond is strong enough to make you immune to any fire.”
He then took a step back once he had placed the small blue dragon on his great-uncle lap. The hatchling was happly soaking up all the pets anf affection from Aemon so he turned towards the others that were watching with wide eyes.
“Do you have any goat milk?”
“W-what?” Asked Mormont.
“Do you have any goat milk.” Aegon repeated.
“I was not aware dragons drank milk nephew” said Aemon.
“He will be able to switch to burned meat in a matter of days a week at most.”
He said as he pulled his great-uncle up.
“The other chest is gold as well. It will suffice to provide for my uncle’s dragon-”
“Where did you get the gold Jon?” He paused and looked at his uncle, it had been a while since someone dared interrup him like that, for a bit he would have to get used to it, he turned back towards the Lord Commander.
“-as well to finance my stay, I’m planning to stay a few days to teach some thing to my great-uncle and to talk to you about the freefolk some more. Also you shall not worry about having to care for a big dragon I am planning to come back it take my great-uncle south once I take the Throne. And I will send more gold within the year.”
He could see t in Mormont eyes the man had made his choiche.
“Thorne send some stewards to open the king’s tower. We do not have much but I will try to make your stay as confortable as we can afford, your grace.”
“Thank you Lord Commander.”

Chapter Text
Arya
She apprached her guards.
“Sers” she may have been overly proud to see them jump. “One of you will be guarding the princess today.”
“What do you need Mycella for?” Jamie asked. She was happy he cared for her now.
“I need to speak with her.”
“What about?” Jamie inquired again.
“About her situation and what will be expected of her.” She replied evenly.
“And that is?” Lannister on the other hand was lossing his patience.
“Behave. If It comes to war I shall be sending her to Greywater Watch with lord Reed.”
“And how can I trust him to take care of her?”
“Then you may accompany me, ser Barristan you will cover for us. We will meet lord Reed tonight hour of the Wolf.”
“I Will bring-“ but she interrupted the younger knight.
“I Will bring the princess, you will wait for us East of the encampment, she then disappeared.
After supper she let her feet wander East after retiring for bed.
Lord Reed
He immediatly tought he was seeing a ghost and that Lady Lyanna had somehow come back, then took in her stature.
“Lady Stark.” He greeted eitherway.
“Lord Reed. Young Lord and Lady, thank you for answering my summon.”
His children bowed their heads as they stood by his side.
“It is wonderfull to finally meet you Lady Stark, is your wolf not with you?”
“Nym is about. She is not the reason I wanted to meet with you.” She strode towards his son and took his face in her hands looking at him and at his eyes closely. Meera was about to intervene when the child finaly released his son.
“Sorry about that. What do you know of the tree eyed raven?” She asked as she sat on the grass and gestured for them to do the same. Jojen spoke before he could.
“He sees all, he lives beyend the wall... he is a warg... he is thousands of years old.”
“My lady again I must ask for the reason of your summon, you had aked to see me and my children without the knoledge of your lord father, I must ask why.” The girl turned toward him.
“Fourteen years ago you went with my father to the Tower of Joy, there you found tre members of the kingsguard and my aunt Lyanna dying of childbirth.” He eyed the girl warly.
“I was not aware Lord Stark had shared the story with his children.” He said.
“He didn’t, not like you did, but Jon found out about his parentage all the same.”
‘So Lya’s boy knows’
“Will you support him?” The lady asked. ‘Does he mean to take the throne?’
“I owed my gratitude to him mother, but I do not wish for a war.” He said sternly.
“Then why not inform my father of our meeting? Why not inform him my Nym visited you some moons past?”
---flashback---
He was suprised when a guard found him talking about a direwolf on one of the docks of his castle/island and even more suprised when his son wordlessly joined him to greet the beast, it had something around his neck. Tied with a rope was a letter.
Lord Reed
Your son has been having dreams, very powerful ones, but they are not all his power, another being his influencing his mind. I advise you to gift him a circlet of iron to wear around his head and to let Nym be his companion for the following moon.
Lady Arya Stark
---
“I was very pleased you followed my advice, my lord.” He remembers how his son had begged him to abide the request, how he did not need much swaying as for weeks his child had been plagued by nightmares.
“Thank you for your advice, but i will need an explanation.” She looked at him for a long while then at his daughter and at his son in turn.
“You will be silent during my tale.” He found himself nodding and his children followed suit, altough his eldest was reluctant, she was accostumed to odd behaviur.
“My name is Arya of House Stark, I was born in 289 AC, I was crowned Queen in the north in 302, I married my cousin Aegon the following year, I lived trough the great winter and the long night, I am ashamed to say we did not win. Together with my huband I came to the past hoping for a different outcome. I came here six moons past. I sent you the letter because my husband went to kill the third eyed raven and we didn’t want to risk him warging into your son to keep living, I sent my companion to make sure he would abide my words.” She waited for a moment looking at her three listeners.“You do not believe me.”
“Tis a hard tale to believe my lady.” He answered. She looked at him in a mixture of cunfusion and disappointment.
“Why? Your son is a warg, you have noticed an increase of power in the spell that masks Greywater Watch and in the spells that you yourself use to summon fog... you are also aware of the gift of the Stark to see into the past, your family one of the few that remembers the last Long Night. Magic has returned to Westeros how can the awakening of the Others not be the first tought that came to your mind?”
“And how do you expect us to believe you traveled to the past?! That is impossible!!” He was about to chastize his daughter for her outburst. And for how absurd the tale this young woman was spinning her last words were the truth. Lady Stark turned to adress Meera.
“I have no proof to that my lady but I speak the truth and if the time travel is the only thing you find hard to believe then focus on the fact that my husband is the legittimate heir to the Iron throne while I am the legittimete heir to the winter one-“
“Your siblings-“ Lord Reed interrupted.
“Are bastars. I am sure you will understand the importance of having a true Stark in Winterfell will you not?” For am moment the faces of the three craggonmen paled but the father recovered fast.
“And what of your father.” The girl saddened and a brief look of grief marred her features.
“He is marching south, wolves do not do well in the south, I plan on sending him north within the year, I want him to be the Stark in winterfell, Robb is too great a builder to be left as a gatekeeper. In case you were wondering my oldest brother is already in my service.”
Can a child be that good of a liar? Something told him she was indeed that good but sha was truthful about this.
“And what will you have of us?” He asked.
“I will send to you the princess Myrcella and prince Tommen and possibly Tyrion and Joffrey, I wish for you to have them as guests and hide them during the turmoil that is to come, I wish for her to be taught archery and to the both of them the old ways, the old tongue and your son will help Tommen with his warging.”
“They are the fruit of incest.”his daughter ground out. He looked at her in surprise and she briefly glanced toward her brother. The lady Arya didn’t question nor deny this.
“Sadly that is true but our gods gifted them all the same and they will be taught and will serve in war to come.” Nymeria chose that moment to flank her, he had seen the wolves of the other two, already as big as hounds but the wolf in front of him was bigger than that and who is he to ignore such blatant favoritism of the gods?
“The girl Myrcella and the boy Tommen will be welcome in my halls. But we will not swear to you untill we are in the halls of Winterfell and you sin on the winter throne.” He spoke with an air of finality. And the girl smiled like a cat who got the cream.

Chapter Text
Myrcella
She startled awake. A hand was on her mouth a knife against her neck, she followed the hand as it guided her in a sitting position.
It was fine the guard would soon be in, she had ser Barristan guarding her this night and it was not actually the first time she was held at sword point. All will be well, but why couldn’t she sto trembling? At least she hadn’t started crying yet she could do this, or maybe she shoud make nooise? But the knife was already at her neck!
“I am not here to hurt you Myrcella.” A girls voice! The northen girl. “I am here to tell you the truth, Myrcella Waters you are the daughter of Cercei Lannister and her twin brother Jaime Lannister, and for as much I would like to keep it a secret, the Lord Stannis Baratheon is already aware.”
It was then that tears fell, she hoped then that someone would rescue her from this nightmare. She didn’t know both her septa and her little brother would not wake for the night and the one outsode would not enter. Ever so slowly her sobs quited down.
“You are a smart girl you already know the king does not love you, if the truth was to come out he will not hesitate to have you killed and your mother will not help yo either not if it does not benefit her or your older brother.” She knew those words to be true and sobs started again, it took less time for her to compose herself this time to the approval and suprise of the slightly older girl, but those were truth she long knew.
“I am not you enemy Myrcella, I wish to give you and your brother a safe place during the wars to come. I have ser Barristan and your father ser Jaime already in my service, you and your younger brother will be safe from both Lannister and Baratheon, do you know how I wil do that?” She shook her head.
“I’m going to release you now but know that even if you scream your brother and septa will not rise.”
She went still and steell shone in her eyes even if none of the two could see it. She had to thread carefully she could not risk to ire her assalitor.
“What. Did. You . Do. To my brother.” She wispered fiercely.
“He is mererly asleep and will stay so until morn, you shant worry. I told your father I would care for you and I will.” Finally the blade left her neck.
If uncle Stannis knows already what can she do? Will grandfather accept them?
“Come.” Something in the girl tone made her obey. She followed the other in the woods then someone was there. Him. She strode to face him.
“Is it true? Are you my father.” The man, her gallant uncle looked defeated. And uncertaint.
“Yes.”it was just a wisper but it destroyed her: she was a moster.
“Come.” The girl commanded to the both of them. Again she followed the other girl and didn’t spare her the knight another glance.
They met a man, a girl and a boy flanking him, she would stay with them, she and Tommen will be their guests in the coming conflict she was polite, later in her rooms she will chastize herself and plead to please the northen girl... for Tommen. SHE will keep him safe. Until he is grown enough to wield a sword and then, maybe she will rid the world of an abomination.
Arthur
Soon it will be two moons since he took the prince and princess, they now lived in a mansion in bravos with three servants with them, and the Mormont guy.
Nobody could stand the prince, Viserys was the worst sort spoiled, cruel and mad like his father, the girl luckly had calmed down after he aggreded with her request of planting a lemon tree of all things in the small yard, he had used almost all the gold in the vault his prince had left them but he was sure Viserys would not have had it any other way.
“M’lord” his servant Tahara said. “A man is at the door, dark hair, grey eyes, said his name’s Aegon.” Soon enough he was sprinting to the door to greet his king, and was not disappointed.
“Your grace” he fell to his knees the moment the doors shut behind his king.
“Rise ser Arthur. Were you able to do as I commaded?” He swiftly rose. And ordered the servants to take his king lagguage to his rooms.
“Yes your Grace. Both the prince and the princes-“ but he was interrupted.
“YOU.. YOU ARE THE IMPOSTOR, YOU CUNT?! YOU THINK YOU CAN TAKE THE THRONE?! MY THRONE!! I WIL SHOW YOU WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU WAKE THE DRAGON!” The prince finished his rant undisturbed, encouraged when his king motioned for him to stand down.
The prince approached his nephew and struk him..... well he centantly tried but in an instant the prince found himself on his back with a boot on his throat not letting him up. The princess also arrived at the scene.
“Leave him! He is the last dragon! And your uncle! How could you!” Aegon raised his boot a bit and the both of them simply started screaming at him.
“QUIET!” The king roared. The two obeyed startled.
“Hello uncle, aunt, I am Aegon Targaryan son of Rahegar Targaryan and Lyanna Stark.”
“I’LL KILL YOU, YOU DAMN HALFBREED!” His Grace put some more pressure on the prince then and silenced the princess with a look.
“Why would you kill me uncle? Wouldn’t it be better to wait until we have the throne? As of now you being the ony other male Targaryan are my heir. Why not wait till later?”
“And how do we know we can trust you until then?” The girl said.
“Because I will teach you what I know, I will teach you to be prine and princess of westeros and then king or queen were I to die without heirs.”
“And how will you get the throne back from the Usurper and his dogs?” The girl spat.
“I actually don’t know what will be of the Usurper yet.”
“He should die for what he did to us!” Aegon wasn’t impressed.
“And what is it that he did?” Daenerys looked taken back but then steeled herself. And replied.
“He killed my father.”
“That was Jamie Lannister.” The girl wasn’t pleased.
“He killed my niece, nephew and sister-by-law.”
“That would have been the Mountain That Rides and ser Armory Lorch.” The king kept his tone even and composed. Completely opposite of the princess whose voice kept rising.
“HE KILLED MY BROTHER!”
“Your brother is laying at my feet.”
“MY OLDEST BROTHER RAHEGAR.”
“Nice guy? I confess I can’t say I’ve met him.” Of course the girl had never met him either.
“Look here is the deal, the throne is ours, but we don’t have it yet, if there is a way to obtain it without bloodshed, I will try.”
“You would negotiate with the Usurper?”
“No I want to came to term with the Lord of Dragonstone.” She paused, she had no idea who that was, he could tell.
“Lord Stannis Baratheon the Usurper younger brother.”
“Why?”
“He is a man of duty and I want him on his family seat.”
“Dragonstone is our seat.”
“And so it is, I want lord Stannis at Stormend, the seat of the Baratheon.” They had gotten off topic but at least she had stopped
screaming and was instead listening with rapt attention, the prince insted was bracing himself surerly he would try to wrestle out of that position soon enough. Altough he was ditracted by the conversation for a bit.
“The why does he not sit there already?”
“Because the Usurper gifted that seat to his youngest brother lord Renly after the war.”
“Why would he-“ but she was interrupted by her brother trying to freed himself. His eggorts were usless but did shift Aegon attention to him.
“If I let you go do you promise not to attack me?” The king asked as you might ask a child if he promises never to steal a sweet again and the prince nodded. Of course he attacked the moment he was back on his feet. And the king put him back on the floor with a foot on his chest and asked his question again and again the prince said yes, only to strike again, they repeated this dance for at least four times before the king had enough and slapped his uncle across the face with such force that sent the prince on the floor were he stayed holding his injuried cheeck.
He did it too at the start, he had tried to reason with the boy but he had struk him too in the end, the boy had taken to advoid him like the plague.
“Enough! We shall reconvene on the morning. My rooms ser Arthur?”
“Right this way my king.” He led him to the biggest room, the only one that was connected to a solar.
“Where do my relatives and you sleep?”
“My room is near yours your Grace, the prince and princess sleep on the other wing, on the ground floor we have the kitchens a dining room and a sitting room, and ser Jorah and the servants rooms.”
“Where is ser Jorah?”
“Out for the evening he usually shows here back in the mornings.” He let his displeasure be known. Why his king wanted anything to do with that slaver he will never understand.
“I see. Go guard Dany, her brother may decide to take his frustration out on her.”
