Cinderella Boy: Behind The Scenes

Summary:

What if our dear characters from Cinderella Boy were all actors? Imagine them laughing behind the scenes, enjoying the premiere night, forgetting their lines, etc. How fun can that be? Let’s find out here!

Chapter 1

Chapter Text

“So, wait… did you got the role?!” Dylan exclaimed, looking at Charlie with an expression of happiness.

”YEAH! Chase Hollow is mine, dude!” Charlie responded, looking at his phone where the email was.

”Deacon and Chase Hollow, you mean!” Dylan said, nudging Charlie’s arm playfully.

”I can’t believe we both got the roles we auditioned for!”

”That’s simply how good we are,” Dylan chuckles a little. “How about Nico? You both auditioned at the same time, right? Did he got the role?”

”I didn’t ask him… I’ll call him, give me a second.”

 

Charlie got out of the app where the email was and entered the Phone app, looking for Nico’s number. Nico was his boyfriend, they’ve been dating for four years and were basically each other’s support. Charlie’s dream was always to become an actor, and he became one! But he wasn’t as famous as other celebrities out there… he didn’t mind that, he was happy as he was, but he also wanted to experience that fame. Not because Charlie was narcissistic or selfish, of course not; but he wanted to go to interviews and conventions and experience all that!

Nico, on the other hand, preferred to support his boyfriend behind cameras. He was always there for Charlie when he got the roles for series or movies, but he never in his life thought about auditioning. That was… until Charlie convinced him to audition for Nox, a character from a new series called ‘Cinderella Boy’. Nico wasn’t sure if he wanted that at first, but he decided to try it out!

”Hey, babe! Did you got the role?” Charlie responded when Nico answered the call.

”Hmm… I don’t know… try to guess!” Nico said from the other side of the line, with a mischevous tone.

”Ugh. I hate guessing! Can’t you tell me?”

”Alright! Yeah, I got it. I’m going to be your nemesis, haha!”

”You’re kidding! Seriously?!”

”Yep! See you in the studio in two weeks!” With that, Nico hang the call.

”Oh my God, yes! We did it, dorkin! We got a new job once again!” Charlie exclaimed, jumping around the room out of excitement.

”Woohoo!” Dylan said, understanding Charlie’s emotion.

I’m really sorry again if there are some errors, English is not my first language:( Also, the CB characters have other names (I decided to have another name to separate the actor character from the character in general, here’s the list of names so you know who’s talking!

Agatha — Mrs. G (though I’m pretty sure Punko said Agatha is her real name? I don’t know, but we all know her as Mrs. G so it’s Agatha!)

Violeta — Violet (I also really like Violet’s name, so you have a similar name for her<3)
Bruno — Bronze
Goldie — Gabriel

Chapter Text

“After the official cast for the series was announced, Cinderella Boy has been gaining a lot of popularity in social media lately, though I think a lot of people just want to see it because it’s labeled as a BL…” Nico said, looking at his phone.
“Trust me, people make everything gay these days,” Charlie responded while tying his shoes.
“Yeah, but… technically it IS a BL, right?”
“What’s the synopsis again?” Dylan interrupted.
“Wait… ‘When a fame-obsessed boy named Chase —that’s you— finds a key that allows him to walk into any storybook and take the place of a character in it, he's offered a chance to earn a wish for anything he wants. The only catch? He's always the heroine! Meanwhile, other forces are searching for his key...especially Chase's rival, a handsome but malicious young man —that’s me— in possession of another key, who is determined to kick Chase out of the storybook biz for good.’ Yeah. Sounds gay.”
“Pfft! It’s labeled as a comedy-romance, so it doesn’t focus only on the romance part, relax,” said Charlie.
“I mean, yeah, but I’m kinda glad that I got Buddy’s role. Imagine if you had to kiss another person.”
“Babe, it’s just acting. It doesn’t count as cheating.”
“Oh I know! I’m not saying it does, I’m just saying I know I’ll get jealous If I see you kissing another man.”
“Oh, trust me, we know,” Dylan interrupted again, he knew he wasn’t supposed to talk, but he still have his opinion because he couldn’t care less.
“Dylan!” Chase screamed, trying to hide his smile.
“What? It’s true! He gets jealous when you have to ‘date’ girls on movies, imagine if you kiss a man!”
“Okay! That’s enough!” Nico interrupted. “Let’s go, alright? We’re going to be late and it’s out first day!”
“Are you good at memorizing stuff?” Charlie asks, looking at Nico with his typical expression.
“Well… not really, but I’ll learn! I’m a fast learner! You know that!”
“Okay, stop making me feel single,” exclaimed Dylan, and then added something else on a whisper. “I hate being the third-wheel…”

Also, I’ll try to update this fic every day. School is starting soon so I’m trying my best but I promise there will be more chapters (and longer ones too), so please stay tuned because I’m pretty sure I’ll write everything up until the season one finale! I’m not sure if I’ll write season two since it’s still going though… sorry😞

Sadly not during the week because I’m busy:( But I’ll try to upload a new chapter on Monday because we won’t be having a new CB episode and I want to keep the fandom entertained sooo enjoy this one! Chapter Text

Nico, Dylan and Charlie arrived at the studio with the rest of the cast. There, they met (basically the creator of the show) Punko! She was excited to see all of the cast be pretty similar to what she had imagined.

“Okay, now that we’re all here, I want to meet you all. I’m pretty excited for the release of these series and there’s already a fandom, so we need to get to work!” She said, gathering all of the cast into a little circle in the studio. “First of all, I want to know your names and the role you got. I already know your role but I still want you to say it, so don’t question that, okay? Who wants to start first?”

“Oh, me! Me, me!” Charlie raised his hand, his smile was wide.

“Alright, go!”

“Okay, uhm… my name is Charlie, I’m nineteen and my role is… Chase Hollow! If I’m not mistaken, that’s the protagonist.”

“Oh, YOU’RE the protagonist?” Paolla asked whike raising her eyebrow and standing from a distance.

“Y… Yeah? Why?”

“Oh, nothing. I just thought he’d be more… I don’t know… TALL!”

Charlie gasps, putting a hand to his chest and feigning annoyance. “How dare you?! I’m 5’1!”

“Yeah, that’s short!” She said again, crossing her arms and tilting her head.

“Pshhh, at least I’m taller than you!”

“I’m eight years old. I’ll eventually be taller than you.”

“Ugh!”

Nico chuckles, Charlie pouts and crosses his arms.

“Well, I’m Nico. I’m twenty. I guess I’m also a protagonist? Or antagonist? I don’t know, but his name is Nox!”

“Nox!” Sophia responded. “You’re the key!”

“WHAT?” Nico raised an eyebrow and his eyes widened.

“Oh, right… I forgot to tell you… my bad,” said Punko, like it was the most normal confusion ever. “Yeah, your character is a key.”

“How does that even work..? AND HOW DO YOU FORGET SOMETHING LIKE THAT?!”

“Well… I don’t know! Blame my ideas at 1:00 A.M.” Punko crossed her arms.

“Wait, so y’all got the email but didn’t got any information about the character?” Gabriel replied. “So I’m not the only one confused in here?”

“No, not really. Sorry, guys, my fault. I wanted to reunite with you all before we start with the script and all that because I want to fill in a little about each character, if that’s okay? I just couldn’t fit all of the facts in the email. There’s a lot.”

“Oookay… so apparently I’m not the only one who had no idea my character was a key…”

“Craaazy. I’m dating a key!

“Shut up, Charlie.”

“Sorry.”

Notes:

HEY! I just wanted to say that I’m adding Punko as a character and not really the REAL Punko, because I don’t know how she would really act in all of these stuff but I’m trying to get her personality right by watching the Q&A’s and interviews before, so I HOPE it’s at least a little accurate… I’m sorry, I’m really bad at making other people’s personalities, I only know how to make fictional characters ALMOST perfectly (and it only works if I’ve been obssesed for a long LONG time) so if they seem very out of character, I apologize! Thank you!

Chapter Text

After a month of memorizing the scripts, knowing fun facts about the characters and the places where they’ll be filming, the cast was preparing for their first day of filming. Charlie suggested that everyone should create an Instagram account to promote the series when they’re out (and also for little sneek peaks Punko would allow them to upload) and everyone thought it was a great idea!

“How does this work?” Nico asked, looking at his Instagram account. “I want to change my profile picture…”

“Wait, I’ll help you,” Charlie replied. “Let me.”

Nico handed his phone to Charlie.

“Okay, you see this button that says ‘edit profile’?”

“Yeah.”

“Click it, and now you can click your profile and change it!”

“Ah, it’s easy.”

“Mhm! What picture do you want?”

“Let me see.”

Charlie handed Nico the phone and the black-haired boy began to search for a picture. Finally, he chose one.

“Done.”

“Can I see? What picture did you choose?”

“This one. From our second anniversary.”

It was a picture of Charlie making a funny face and Nico giving him a kiss on the forehead.

“Awww! I like that picture, it’s cute!”

“Yeah, me too. But now I’ll hate you, back off.”

“Hey! That’s not fair, we haven’t started filming yet!”

“Shush! I need to get into character!”

“Pfft!”

Notes:
