Chapter 1: Young Percy

Chapter Text

Percy didn’t think his day could get any weirder. He had just found out his biological dad was a god who probably didn’t care for him, and he also found out all those Ancient Greek stories he heard were true? This was certainly a lot to process for a 12 year old kid that was now convinced his mom died. So here he was, sitting at the crowded Hermes table. And somehow, his day got weirder.

It all started when a letter appeared seemingly out of nowhere, and floated down to the center of the floor. Everyone’s eyes followed it and watched as Chiron approached the letter, picking it up and opening it. Annabeth who Percy was starting to really not like tried to lean forward and look at the letter before she blurted out. “What does it say?”

Dear Chiron and Camp Half-Blood,

We decided to have some fun in this uneventful day and send some future (and maybe past) demigods over to your current time! Please do not be alarmed, we hope to prepare you for the future and help you achieve a better understanding of each other. We are truly doing this to help you.

Sincerely, The Fates.

Annabeth was clearly not amused by this and started mumbling underneath her breath; probably several curses in Greek. Why would they just send some demigods from the future? Would there even be anything to look forward to? At least Percy could find out if he didn’t die a brutal death like he’s heard many demigods do- if he became that important to be sent back.

Percy finally looked around the room to see wide eyed demigods looking around the room frantically. Suddenly a loud scream echoed across the chamber with a golden light blinding everyone. He could hear a “thud” and then the screaming stopped. The light dimmed and a girl appeared, she looked around 16 and had choppy brown hair. “Oh Gods she needs a haircut..” he mumbled, and based off the glance Luke gave him, he could imagine he heard him. Percy just nervously smiled and looked back at the girl who was now standing up.

”WHERE AM I?” she asked drawing a knife out. She saw Chiron and immediately lowered it. “Chiron? Why am I back at camp?” she scanned the room, locking eyes with Percy as her eyes widened. “Holy shit.” she mouthed, then looked back at Chiron who was explaining everything. When he was done she introduced herself.

”My name is Piper McLean, daughter of Aphrodite and future counselor of Cabin 10.” Silena tilted her head at this, which Piper noticed and then turned away from the table. Chiron nodded his head and then motioned for her to go on. “I was just on-“ she started before another light filled the room. This time a boy with dark short curls emerged, and seemed to be a lot more calmer. “Uh what the fuck.” he said, looking around the room and then at Piper. Piper looked back and then moved her eyes towards Percy, and Leo looked directly at him. For a second he didn’t say anything and Percy could tell he was trying to stop himself from laughing while Chiron explained everything.

So he must be a joke in the future. That was reassuring. “I’m Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus, future counselor of Cabin 10.” he took a quick glance at Beckendorf and then frowned. Okay what was going on? Leo started to explain some more, “We were on the new ship, the Argo II, and then Piper fell of the uh- well what the fuck did you fall off of? She just started screaming and stopped midway through. Then we couldn’t find her. That’s when I then turned into a bunch of golden light and magically appeared.”

“What’s the Argo II?” Beckendorf asked shortly after his statement. “It’s a flying boat I made along with An-“ he paused then looked at Annabeth. Oh great, what did she do? Percy thought. He didn’t exactly hate her, she just was getting on his nerves. “-nabeth and my cabin..” he finished and every stared at Annabeth who was grinning. “It flies? That’s so cool I can’t wait to see it!” Beckendorf exclaimed, which made Leo choke on his saliva. He started violently coughing as Piper patted his back with a sympathetic look towards Beckendorf. “What do I die or something?” he frowned.

Leo just goofily smiled before yet another light shone. This time a girl with blonde long hair in a ponytail appeared, she had a dagger on her side and looked pretty tall and maybe around 16. She looked shocked to see Leo and Piper. “GUYS! WE’VE BEEN LOOKING ALL OVER FOR-“ she saw Chiron and went silent. “Why is Chiron here?” she looked around. “Ah, hello, you have been sent here along with your friends by the Fates. We’re currently in 2005.” Chiron quickly explained. The girl practically jumped looking at Annabeth and then turned back.

”My name is Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena.”

Chapter 2: Annabeth

Summary:

Some backstory on how it was like before Annabeth went back into the past alongside Piper and Leo!

Notes:

I had to rewrite this cause it didn't save the first time. My confidence literally dropped lower than my grades I'm not even joking. (everyone laugh that was super funny) Anyways here's the new chapter happy reading.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

“AHHHH!”
Annabeth heard a scream from above the deck, and immediately rushed up. Leo followed behind her along with Jason, everyone else was trying to get up also but weren't as quick. “Was that Piper?” Leo asked, looking behind him for Piper. “I'm not sure, but it sure sounded like her..” Annabeth replied. Leo nodded his head as they stepped on the deck and frantically looked around. The thing was, the screaming stopped, but in an unnatural way. It's almost like it was cut off, like pausing a show in the middle of dialogue.

“Okay that isn't weird at all.” Percy said from next to Annabeth, who didn't even realize he was there. "Maybe she just fell and face planted so the screaming stopped?" Jason suggested. Leo shook his head. "But do you see her anywhere?" everybody looked around, expecting her to just pop out of nowhere. "Good point, and I blame Hera." Percy responded. "Yeah she can't give us a break can she? She's the reason why-" Leo never finished his sentence and Annabeth whipped her head around. "Okay where the fuck did Leo go?" she demanded. "That's a very good question." Percy said sarcastically. "He's probably just pulling a prank or something." Frank said.

"Well this ship has to come to a stop if we have no Leo or Piper for that matter-"

"But what about Nico!" Hazel interrupted. "Oh gods, Hazel I'm sure we'll still make it." Annabeth was slightly annoyed. Even when her friends could be in potential danger she was busy thinking about Nico when they were making pretty good time. "They will probably be back within an hour, my guess is Hera kidnapped them or something and-" Annabeth paused, and everyone immediately turned to her. "I'm just thinking guys I'm still here." she sighed.

"Hera is pissing me off." Percy announced and everyone immediately agreed. "At least there is still five of us- or six including Coach Hedge." Hazel smiled. Everyone stood in silence for a while, occasionally looking at each other to make sure everyone was still there. "Okay we should be fine now because nobody is disappearing." Frank finally said. Don't jinx it. Annabeth desperately wanted to say, but didn't want to chance it actually being jinxed. In the end it didn't even matter because she became a glowstick within ten seconds.

"ANNABETH!" Percy was the first to notice her missing. "Woah, did you guys see that?" Jason asked. "Yep, she just shone brighter than the sun it seems." Hazel observed and quickly added "The sun is equally great though." Percy began to desperately look around for Annabeth but had no luck. "You jinxed it, Frank." Jason joked. "I'm sure Annabeth is fine, you know how she is, she can do uh- anything."

"She's not a barbie." Frank said, looking genuinely confused. "She looks like one though." Percy said sadly. "Oh gods stop moping Percy, she'll be back eventually I'm sure of it." Jason assured. "Alright but if it's HERA'S FAULT AGAIN I will DROP HER IN A RIVER AGAIN." he partially shouted to make sure wherever Hera was that she heard.

"I'm Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena." The whole place went silent and stared at Young Annabeth. Young Annabeth stared up at her future self with awe, her stormy gray eyes glistening in the sunlight. "What do we do in the future?" she asked. "Well, just to name a few.. I have retrieved the Golden Fleece, held up the sky, fought in the second titan war, and I also became an architect for Olympus, which I also saved. Of course I had help though." she nervously laughed at that last part, but everyone still looked surprised. "So I go on my first quest soon?" Young Annabeth tilted her head. "Uh yeah, in literally less than a da- I mean yeah soon." Annabeth replied. "No way is that Percy?" Annabeth looked right at him.

"Uh hi?" Percy said, but he looked awfully nervous, and Annabeth could tell. Annabeth approached him but then saw Luke and backed away. Another light flooded the room and Annabeth eagerly watched as it dimmed and a girl with black hair came out. "THALIA?" Young Annabeth screamed, running up and hugging her. "Ha, hello Annabeth!" she saw current Annabeth and then added, confused, "Past Annabeth?" Thalia looked up and saw Luke, staring practical daggers. "What did I do something wrong?" he asked, though Percy could hear a sound of hurt coated within his question. "What didn't you do?" Annabeth growled. Luke was about to respond but everybody was too busy shouting over Thalia's return and asking millions upon millions of questions.

"Alrighty everyone listen up!" she held her hands up, interrupting everyone else and silencing them. "I was indeed a pine tree, you all knew that. Then the Golden Fleece was retrieved and I was revived because of Kr- Ugh, nevermind I'm not even going to bother saying his name- needed me for the prophecy because I was almost 16." Everyone stared at her in silence which made it eerily uncomfortable. "So did you fulfill the prophecy or.." Luke trailed off, noticing the unwelcoming glare Thalia was giving him. "Great question Luke, I joined the hunters so I couldn't be the one to have relation to it." she said his name like it was a slur, which made Percy's heart slightly drop. What did Luke do? He seems nice.

"Wait then what happened?" Young Annabeth intruded. "Another child of the Big Three did it, simple." Thalia casually said, not remembering how nobody knew about the others. Annabeth elbowed her before Young Annabeth decided to get even more needy for answers. "But there is nobody else?"

"Oh there is."

"Who?"

"You'll figure it out, just be patient."

"It's easier if you just tell us though?"

"Annabeth stop, you'll figure it out once they come here just- please." Older Annabeth was getting annoyed. Did she ever shut up? Young Annabeth mumbled something but didn't push. Another bright light came and this time another girl emerged. Annabeth didn't know if she should've be happy or stressed that she would have to explain Roman demigods to everyone.

Notes:

I wanna hit Luke in the face.
Seriously though I was starting to like Silena and Beckendorf and they were just killed off like that? Also sorry for spoiling I should've put that in the tags. Until next time gang.

Chapter Text

"ANNABETH, PIPER, AND LEO? WHAT THE FUCK." Hazel squealed. "Calm down Hazel, we're fine." Piper pouted. "Dude the others are going crazy trying to look for you." Hazel said. Piper furrowed her brow. “I’d imagine. Pe-“ she started, then looked over at Percy. “I’d imagine Annabeth’s boyfriend would be worried about her.” she finished, and Young Annabeth raised a brow then took a quick glance at Luke. “Ew no Annabeth.” Annabeth told her younger self. Young Annabeth frowned. “What?”

Thalia bursted out laughing. Luke looked confused and shortly after Annabeth also started laughing. “What?” Young Annabeth asked again desperately. She looked at her older counterpart and sighed. “Come on, you were me at some point, you understand.” Thalia wiped a tear from her eye. “You actually- Oh gods that’s-“ she looked at Luke and then back at Young Annabeth.

“You’ll understand in the future.” Annabeth patted Young Annabeth on the shoulder and Hazel noticed a sour expression on her face, like she was just forced to eat a lemon. “Anyways I’m Hazel, daughter of Pl-“ Hazel paused. “Go on.” someone said. “Daughter of Pluto.” she sighed.

”Hades? So you must’ve been the one to fulfill the prophecy.” Luke blurted out. Hazel wanted to slap that fucker across the face after what she learned about him. And gods his attitude got on her nerves- she hadn’t felt this way to someone in- months? Gaia was definitely more annoying though. “No Pluto, didn’t you hear what I said? Also no I don’t fulfill the prophecy, I barely know anything about it.” she crossed her arms. “A roman demigod?” Chiron asked, slightly surprised. Young Annabeth shifted in her seat. “Uh yeah, you don’t know about us for another um,” she looked at Young Percy. “I’d say five years.”

“I’m confused why does everyone keep looking at me.” Percy’s face was neutral, but the sides of his mouth were getting ready to curl into a frown. “Oh tell me about it.” Young Annabeth replied. “Wait so if you don’t fulfill the prophecy who does?” Luke questioned. “What prophecy?” Percy interrupted. “Why do you keep talking about the prophecy Luke?” Annabeth growled. She knew damn well why he was, she just wanted him to shut up. “You know what happens don’t you?” Luke deadpanned. “Yes and I know your relation to everything.”

Yet another light illuminated the room. This time Jason came but didn’t say anything until he saw Percy. “Okay what the fuck.”

“What’s up with everyone swearing?” Young Annabeth whined. “Hold up is that Annabeth?” Jason turned to her. “Yes, why is everyone surprised by that?” Young Annabeth sounded slightly hurt for some reason. “Nothing.” he turned with a slight chuckle escaping. “I’m Jason Grace, son of Jupiter.” he locked eyes with Thalia and Piper who was next to her and grinned. “No way you guys are here too!” he went over to hug him but then saw Leo, Hazel, and Annabeth as well. “Okay so this is where you guys went.” he looked around. “Frank freaked out when you disappeared Hazel.” Jason started. “He was all like, ‘Where did they take my gorgeous ghost queen!’” Leo interrupted, mocking Frank as much as he could.

“You guys needa resolve that beef.” Piper said flatly.

”Yep pretty much.” Jason agreed with Leo.

“Hey I do not sound like that, and I never called her that!”

Everyone turned. There he was in the flesh, Frank Zhang. “Shit, my bad.” Leo sheepishly said. “Why didn’t I come in a ball of light like you all?” Frank said sadly. “Maybe The Fates have favorites.” Hazel shrugged. Frank look bewildered to see her but shook his head. “Wouldn’t doubt it.” he looked down at Hazel’s pocket, which the rest of them from the future quickly understood. Leo’s mouth turned into an ‘o’ shape. “Elaborate on the prophecy,” Young Annabeth scoffed. “Is there really another child of the big three?”

“Is it Jason?” someone said aloud. He shook his head. “Not me. Have you not been told yet?” he tilted his head. “No,” Annabeth said. “We haven’t told them anything related to uh- my boyfriend?” she said uneasily. “Who the flip is our boyfriend? Why aren’t you saying his name like he’s some great powerful-“ Young Annabeth paused. “It must be someone here.”

“Bingo!” Leo grinned. “It’s not Luke.” Thalia leaned down to whisper in her ear. Young Annabeth just swatted her face away, which earned a light chuckle from Thalia. “Who is it then, I sure hope it isn’t someone weird.” Young Annabeth said under her breath, scanning the room. “Oh shit I left Pe-“ Frank’s mouth got covered by Annabeth’s hand, and then she slowly removed it. “Oh gods he’s probably going crazy right now.” she realized, digging her hands into her hair. “Who exactly?” Young Percy asked. That earned a laugh from the seven, and then they turned to each other and nodded. “Y’know dinner is almost over so maybe we should go outside.”

Just then another light came.

Chapter Text

“WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?” Frank watched as his girlfriend disappeared right in front of his very eyes. “It looked like she turned into the golden glitter my kindergarten teacher forced me to use for my mother’s day card back before I got expelled for the first time.” Percy said with a straight face. “Let me guess, you insisted to use the blue glitter?” Jason casually replied. “Yep. That lady was a bitch anyways.”

“Man, you were in kindergarten, of course you think that.. but why was she forcing you to use it anyways ?”

“You don’t want to know.”

”GUYS,” Frank interrupted. “How do you guys not care that Hazel just- just-“ “Did you not see Percy when Annabeth disappeared? He’s just hiding how emotionally unstable he is right now.” Jason shrugged. “Dude, you don’t seem to care Piper disintegrated either, but yeah I’m kinda freaking out too.” Percy admitted. It had been a few hours (time was moving slower in present time) since Annabeth had disappeared, and Percy was scared. Deep down he knew she could find a way (hopefully) but for now he couldn’t help but worry.

"Hera probably did something." Percy repeated again. They all could agree on that. "Yes you've said that a few times now... Maybe she's messing with your memories again." Jason joked. "Oh please no. I'm not going through all of that again." Percy groaned. "Hey! You would've never met me if that didn't happen." Frank pointed out. "I also wouldn't make my camp worried for almost a year and also wouldn't be forced to go on a quest with Romans chasing after me." he countered. "I'm sure we can figure it out." Jason said hopeful.

"Okay but seriously where the fuck did they go?"

"Don't worry I'm sure we'll see them soon." Jason said before he too turned into a shimmering light. "OH MY GODS STOP JINXING IT JASON." Percy complained. "Ok what the heck," Frank turned to where Jason would've been. "Im so confused what the fuck is going on."

"Where's Coach Hedge? DID THEY TAKE HIM TOO?" Percy screamed. "No I'm right here cupcakes." Coach Hedge said from behind them. "Where did you come from?" Frank jumped. "Where's the monster?" he said, immediately getting into a fighting stance. "There is none and everyone has just been disappearing!" Percy exclaimed. "Kind of like Frank?" he asked.

"Yeah kind of like- WAIT WHAT?" Percy turned and saw Frank gone. "WHAT THE HECK?" Percy dropped to his knees. "TAKE ME WITH YOUUUUUUU!"

The light dimmed down and Clarisse came this time. "What the fuck?" she muttered. "StOP SWEARING GUYS!" Young Annabeth whined. "Oh please you'll live." Annabeth said under her breath. "WHAT?" Young Clarisse shot up from her seat. "Okay what indeed. Why is there a mini version of me here?" Clarisse asked. She saw Percy and then snorted. "No way a mini Percy? This is gonna be fun." she whispered just loud enough for the rest to hear. "I know, but look at how confused this kid is." Annabeth responded.

"Are we going to skip over the fact THALIA HAS A BROTHER?" Young Annabeth shrieked. "Oh yeah," Thalia saw how shocked everyone still looked. "Jason is my brother, I forgot I never told anyone." she shrugged. "Oh wait now that you're here Clarisse, the Romans are going to invade camp half blood." Leo said casually. "WHAT?" everyone in the whole room said at once. "OH shit sorry guys. She's the only one here at the moment who's at camp in the future," he explained. "I know we sent an iris message but just in case."

"Oh that's right." Clarisse confirmed. "You know it really sucks that our younger versions aren't here." Piper said to Leo, Jason, and the rest who wasn't at camp in the past. "No not really." Leo said, but everyone else agreed with her.

Young Percy was giving Clarisse a serious side eye. "Was this before or after he exploded the toilets?" she asked Annabeth. "After." she verified. Clarisse laughed out loud which confused some people. She stopped when she saw Silena. Her eyes grew wide and then she turned away. "Okay I didn't sign up for this."

"Where's future Percy?"

"WHERE IS EVERYBODY?" Percy shouted up into the sky. He turned to Coach Hedge to confirm he was still there. He was, but obviously wasn't paying much attention. "ANNABETHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

"Calm down kiddo I'm sure she-" Coach Hedge started. Percy whipped his head around. "COACH HEDGE TOO?" He fell down face first onto the ground. "What did I do to deserve this."

"In the future." Annabeth responded. "What about me?" Young Percy blurted out. "Nothing," Annabeth squeaked. "Anyways let's all go outside yeah?"

Notes:

sorry this is kinda dialogue heavy, but there isn't really anyway to add filler lmao. also sorry if this seems short ;-;

Chapter Text

Everyone walked out of the dining pavilion shortly after. Some people were with the future group, and others were just minding their own business or watching from afar. This was not how Annabeth was planning her Tuesday afternoon, but here she was. She could only imagine how Percy was like right now. Hopefully he wasn’t starting any earthquakes or tsunamis.

That sent a shiver up her spine.

Nevermind, he probably was. All six of them- gone. Coach Hedge must’ve still been there because there was no sign of him. But when Annabeth accidentally bumped into someone, she quickly turned around. It was no other than Coach Hedge. “Uh oh.” she whispered. “Okay cupcakes, let me get this straight. We’re in the past?” He watched all of their expressions go from startled to shock and then finally worry.

”Oh the fates are really messing with Percy today.” Leo chuckled. “Damn right they are, that kid was screaming up into the sky,” Hedge shrugged. “Wonder how he’s doing right now.”

”Probably crashing out on the ship,” Jason suggested. “Or was he already doing that?” Young Percy, perched next to Young Annabeth and Luke, looked confused. “What?” he had barely heard anything but his name.

“Can Percy come already so he can explain all this shit to lil dude over here.” Thalia narrowed her eyes at Young Percy. “Why are you all on a magical boat anyways?” Young Annabeth snorted. Leo could’ve sworn he already explained it, but maybe not. “We’re kinda trying to stop Gaia from rising and attempting to save death boy from a jar.”

Yeah that came out wrong without context.

”What?” Young Annabeth looked bewildered. “But why am I there with you?” Young Percy scrunched his nose. “Because you insisted on coming along, nothing important.” Leo said and the others started giggling. Suddenly everyone looked at Leo, horrified. “Um what?”

“Dude your hair is on fire again.” Jason pointed out. “If only we had some sort of water bender here at the moment.” Leo dramatically sighed before patting away the fire. “What do you mean, he’s right here?” Coach Hedge muttered. Some of them made a shushing sound and he held up his hands in surrender. “Okay cupcakes sorry.”

”No way.” Beckendorf stared at Leo in awe which made him tense. Leo nodded his head. He knew Beckendorf could tell. He had heard he was pretty smart before he turned into a firework on that damn boat. That made Leo stare coldly at Luke which he didn’t even realize until he said something. “Did I do something wrong guys?”

”Don't play dumb Luke we know damn well what you’re planning to do.” Annabeth said sharply. “Leave him alone.” Young Percy spoke up. “Oh that’s ironic.” someone said from behind them. “No way, Grover?” Annabeth said almost immediately after she turned around.

“Yeah, he would probably tear this kids throat out if he had a chance. Or did he change his mind about that?” Thalia whispered quiet enough so their younger selves couldn’t hear. “Grover!” Luke smiled. The satyr simply ignored him. Younger Grover who was standing somewhere off to the side was gaping. Young Percy was looking back and forth between the two.

The silence was broken when Young Clarissa stumbled forward. “Okay what’s going on,” she said sternly. “You don’t seem to hate him.” she spat, glaring at Percy. “What he did at the bathroom isn’t even the worst thing.” Clarisse laughed. Young Percy looked down at his feet.

“How about we all play a game.” Annabeth suggested. Everyone agreed on uno because Leo was able to get it from his toolbelt. “That’s so cool, how’d you get it?” Young Percy asked.

”Bunker 9. Only fire users can open it though.” Leo explained. He shuffled the cards and passed seven to each person. Older Annabeth, Thalia, Jason, Leo, Piper, Young Percy, Clarisse, Luke, and Annabeth were playing.

Let’s just say it probably wasn’t the best idea to put Older Annabeth and Thalia right next to Luke. They teamed up on him, using up all their +4’s, 2’s, skips, and reverses whenever they could without making it obvious.

By the end of the game Clarisse was mumbling curses because Percy stopped her from winning, (Using all the special cards on her and taking occasional peeks at her cards) When she finally managed to get to two cards, a wild and a yellow 2, he used his +4.

Young Annabeth was clearly trying to help Luke out by attempting to make Older Annabeth draw more cards, but was unsuccessful. Luke ended up with 35 cards. Piper, Leo, and Jason were basically doing their own thing, joking with each other and targeting one another.

And guess who won?

Older Annabeth of course. Who else would’ve won? Everybody didn’t seem surprised but the viewers cheered anyways.

Capture the flag was probably starting soon, it was slightly delayed with their new arrival which kind of bummed the kids out.

“Percy would’ve loved this.” she sadly mumbled, looking into the distance.

She turned around to the group with a smile tugging at her lips. “Let’s enjoy the time we have before capture the flag.” she said warmly. Everyone gathered around in a circle chatting and whatnot. Annabeth looked down at her hands out of pure boredom. If only Percy were there.

But nothing could’ve prepared her for the boy lunging at Luke.

Chapter Text

Yeah Percy wasn’t okay.

Maybe he was hallucinating, dreaming, imagining things, anything. Maybe Hera was messing with his head.

And maybe he accidentally started an earthquake or two.

The whole boat swerved back and forth. At least it was on land, right? The ground rumbled. People screamed. Percy was panting, sweat beading his forehead. But why would people be screaming so loud at an earthquake?

He searched for something, anything that could help him. Instead he saw the complete opposite. Yeah he was starting a whole ass tsunami now, but he didn’t even bother trying to stop it.

He was so angry, angry at whoever got him into this mess. The mist probably wasn’t on his side, but he didn’t care. Everyone was gone. His friends were gone. His girlfriend was gone. Why couldn’t he be gone too? Why couldn’t he be wherever they were at the moment?

Percy hid his face in his hands. The tsunami was getting worse by the second. The ocean receded further and further.

The wave started heading for the shore. But something inside him felt uneasy. He motioned his hand upward and the whole wave exploded. Water spewed everywhere.

The waves still came. Smaller, for sure, but there was still a tsunami approaching the shore. “No, no, no, no! I’m sorry- Someone please- dad?”

He pleaded, but instead of the tsunami stopping his vision blurred with yellow.

The first person he saw was Luke. Without thinking Percy uncapped his pen and prepared to attack.

But then he realized.

Luke was dead.

So how was he here? He slowly lowered his weapon, his eyes narrowing at Luke. “Luke.” he said.

“Percy?” Luke said, surprised. “What is it?” Young Percy said, not paying attention to the fight brewing. “Freaky.” Percy turned to his younger version. Suddenly he got tackled from behind. “PERCYYY!” Annabeth shrieked. “Annabeth? Oh gods-“ All that worrying for nothing.

Young Annabeth and Young Percy exchanged a look. Young Annabeth looked confused while Young Percy looked weirded out. “Why were you going to attack Luke?” Young Percy asked. “He’s gonna attempt to kill you soon and you’re worrying about why I almost attacked him.” Percy laughed.

”What.” Young Percy’s eyebrows furrowed. “Oh gods that’s right.” Annabeth looked at Luke. He looked horrified, to say the least. “So uh you get claimed bud?” Luke asked quietly. “Fuck yeah I do,” Percy turned to his younger self and then everyone else. “Percy Jackson son of Poseidon.”

Everyone pretty much had the same reaction as when they found out the first time. “Yeah the Percy Jackson, savior of Olympus, former holder of the sky, retriever of the lightning bolt, golden fleece, and other stuff, oh what else,” Leo jokingly started, which made Percy facepalm. “Navigator of the Labyrinth, he’s also like defeated a bunch of monsters like the minotaur- twice, medusa, don’t you have beef with Ares?”

“Okay shut up Leo.” Percy said flatly. Everyone just stood there shocked. Young Percy just stared at him. “Medusa?” Young Grover asked, slightly stuttering. “Oh come on buddy, you were there too. I slashed her head off, mailed it to Olympus. Made her sisters go after me though… messing with me when I lost my memory.” he scoffed.

”And when was this?” Young Annabeth asked, raising an eyebrow. “I think in a day,” he replied. Young Grover looked like he was about to throw up. “It’s right after I go with you and Grover on my quest to retrieve the bolt and destroy that bus.”

Young Annabeth turned to her older self then back at Percy. “Him? Why are you dating him in the future?” she asked, glancing at Young Percy. Everyone turned to them. “Dude, 12 year old Annabeth was just different.” Percy said, watching her every movement.

“Ew, yeah why?” Young Percy asked. “Just wait until the labyrinth.” Percy elbowed Annabeth slightly. “Oh please, that was nothing.” she rolled her eyes. “Can you cupcakes stop it before I mention what happened in the stables.” Coach Hedge said flatly.

“… What happened in the stables?” Young Annabeth looked terrified. “COACH HEDGE! YOU KNOW DAMN WELL THEY DIDNT DO THAT.” Piper said- obviously- a little too loudly.

“Anyways time for capture the flag!” Annabeth nervously said, dragging some of her friends and Percy over to watch.

As everyone set up, everything went down almost exactly as Percy remembered. He won, he got claimed, but this time everyone wasn't as shocked. Guess that's what happens when you find out beforehand. Older Percy showed Younger Percy to his cabin, and from there he started asking questions. "What did Luke do?"

"He did something- Well, you probably are going to forget about this anyways, but Luke is going to try to kill you. You successfully finish your quest, and turns out the 'one you call a friend' who betrayed you was him," Percy said. "He helped start a war. Thankfully all ended well but in the end he had to die. I don't know how I feel about him now. Total mixed feelings."

Young Percy's jaw practically dropped. "What. Exactly. Is the quest?"

"Um, so basically-" Percy started before Young Annabeth stormed in.

Chapter Text

Young Annabeth looked between the two and frowned. She walked out the door right after and huffed. Older Annabeth came from behind her. "What was that about?" Percy asked. "She thought she made some huge discovery and that everybody was being deceived by us," Annabeth giggled. "The thing was her explanation was actually reasonable."

Young Percy was confused, but Percy understood well. "Not so wise are you?" she hit his arm. "Shut up! I didn't help look for you for almost a year just for you to say I'm not so wise. I TOLD YOU HER EXPLANATION WAS REASONABLE!"

But a golden light filled the room before Young Percy could utter a single question.

"Aww man." he said, looking at the now empty cabin. He walked out, facing his own golden light. "OW MY EYES!" he shrieked, covering them. When he opened them he was back at the dinner pavilion, right next to Luke. A few minutes passed with absolute silence. "So are we not going to say anything?" Luke spoke up.

"Older me said you were going to try and kill me." Young Percy flatly said, which made Luke uneasy. "Maybe we shouldn't actually." he laughed nervously as everyone turned to him.

"Also he told me-" Young Percy stopped mid sentence. "Wait what were we talking about?"

"I don't remember." Luke shrugged.

"OKAY WE'RE BACK CUPCAKES!" Coach Hedge shouted, waking up all of the sleeping teenagers on deck. "Dude, out of all the places the fates make us sleep on the dirty ass deck?" Percy mumbled. "HEY! Don't speak to MY ship like that!" Leo frowned.

"Our ship." Percy countered.

"My ship."

"Our ship, don't fight it." Percy skipped away towards the table, and took a seat. Everyone soon followed and began talking about their experiences in the past. "I told Beckendorf about the ship, I'm kinda sad he died now." Leo mumbled. "Younger me was interesting to say the least. I forgot how I was back then." Annabeth seemed to cringe at her own words.

"Yep, sure was crazy, wasn't it?" Piper laughed.

A warping sound filled their ears. "Dude turn it down!" Frank said covering his ears. "I have no fucking idea what it is!" Leo groaned, getting up and looking around for the source of the sound. "OOF!" someone grunted, landing flat on their face.

Everyone looked up to see a portal in the sky, wide open. Then a letter floated down, right on top of the person's head.
