This was going to be a quick run. Losing it Looey kept telling himself. he repeated this as a Cosmo entered the elevator with him and Sorrowful Sprout and a couple other extras.
It was going to be a quick run. It turned into Sorrowful insisting he distract even though he had a Veemote for a reason.
He was already a little irritated and tried to get Sorrowful to give him the twisteds, however Sorrowful had an ABUNDANCE of Air horns so he just stopped trying and allowed him to distract.
What was the straw that broke the camels back was when he made it to the elevator on a particularly slow floor, he called for Sorrowful, and he came around the corner one of the twisteds that were gaining on him slashed at him, making him lose a heart. The moment the Sprout made it to the elevator.
“Here you go!”
The Cosmo was waiting, a heal in hand and basically shoving it in Sprouts. He felt his hands ball into fists as a blush coats Sorrowfuls cheeks and he took it gratefully.
“Thank you, Cosmo!”
Losing it’s legs moved before he could think, and he was grabbing onto Sorrowful’s arm.
“Hey Sprout, buddy, friend— best friend even!” Losing It didn't care if he came off as clingy, Sorrowful is his best friend and he would be damned if he lost him to a fucking Cosmo. Sorrowful looked at him with, confused, maybe a little hurt, but expectant eyes. “Lets go over there.” He said tugging Sorrowful away from the Cosmo, who waved kindly. His middle finger was itching.
“Did you need me?” Sorrowful asked, fidgiting with his hands, Losing It snapped out of his blind jealousy and let go of Sorrowfuls hand.
“hm, no, I just missed you.”
They were near eachother again.
It irked Losing It. How easy Sorrowfuls attention can divert to Cosmo when he enters the room Sorrowful was distracting in.
The way Sorrowful’s eyes lit up and how he tried making conversation, his distracting turned loose as his circles became less structured. How he giggled when Cosmo tailed the twisteds with little regard for his life. Losing It should give that Cosmo something to fear.
Losing It doesnt even know why it pissed him off so bad. why this amount of anger was aimed at this Cosmo— Sorrowful wasnt his. There’s no reason he should be acting like- like…
Oh.
Oh no.
Losing it would’ve never thought the day would come.
Coming to terms with Losing It’s newfound… feelings shouldn’t be so hard. Coming to terms with his jealosy was even worse. Finding this new Cosmo to be a threat to his relationship was a tricky thing to hide. And embarrassing.
Sorrowful was his own person for crying out loud! He didn’t need an overprotective Looey over his shoulders!
But still, he couldn't help the way his fist trembled when that Cosmo got too close, they way his thoughts took a way darker tone st even the thought— the sight of this Cosmo on his best friend.
The breaking point was when Sorrowful gave Cosmo a cupcake. That of itself irritated him enough, but when Cosmo hugged him tight, said he would never forget this— that. That was the breaking point.
He needed this Cosmo dead.
Or else he threatens losing Sorrowful forever.
It was simple, get Cosmo alone. Easier said than done for most.
Not for Losing It. He stayed in the shadows, made sure Cosmo felt safe to wing it alone. Then that's when Looey pounced, shoving his body into a bookshelf, that made him stumble. Balance lost and disoriented.
But Looey didn't stop there. He wouldn't stop until he was dead. A pile of ichor on the floor. He wouldn't bother him and his sweet Sprout again.
Losing It grabbed him by his collar, shoving him into the bookshelf again, and again, and again, until the shelf had splatters of ichor. Then he threw the Cosmo to the ground, following suite bringing his fist down square onto his nose.
“H-HEL—” When the Cosmo started to cry Looey grabbed his neck, a choke sounding out before he continued his reign of fists. He wouldn't stop, even when the Cosmo was unresponsive. He didn't stop until he heard that final crack of his last heart.
There. That would be enough. Maybe it didn't have to be this way. Atleast Sorrowful won't get his heart handled by someone who doesn't deserve it.
Losing It Looey kicked the body behind some shelves just as Sorrowful walked around, the twisteds on his tail as he looked around, believing he had lost one. He stayed out of sight, just watching as Sorrowful strolled around before leaving the area. None the wiser.
When the elevator closed it was just them. Losing It Looey and Sorrowful Sprout.
“Oh. Where'd that Cosmo go?” Asked Sorrowful, he was certain he had kept them on a full three hearts each time they crossed paths.
Losing it just shrugged.
“Must've went back. Couldn't handle the round life.”
Sorrowful deflated.
“Oh… Should we go back up?” Losing It gave Sorrowful his best smiles and wrapped an arm around him.
“Lets have that round we said we would have, eh buddy?”
