Hey gang!!!!! My names Kai and I’m the host of a plural system. I saw a headcanon that pAInter was plural and decided to post this… but I don’t have ideas!! This is me asking for idea requests.
I will NOT do:
Smut
Romance between Sebastian and pAInter
Super graphic scenes of violence
Hurt/No Comfort
ABSOLUTELY NO ROMANCE INCLUDING LITTLE ALTERS THAT ARE MENTIONS.
I will do:
Hurt/Comfort
Angst
these boundaries may update depending on peoples responces
Chapter 2: Surviving Doesn’t Make You a Bad Person
Summary:
A small prologue to the story!! Light hurt/comfort I suppose in this chapter.
Notes:
A large amount of this prologue is quoted from a canon quote in the game! I’ll have to refind the clip I got it from, but I do not own the majority of this dialogue!!!
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
“Sebastian….” pAInter’s voice breaks through the small walkie talkie. (oh look I said the fish man’s name) Sebastian looks up from a few pieces of data an Expendable had just exchanged for a medkit. “Am I a bad person….?”
“What?” Sebastian puts down the data to shift closer to the radio. “No, no. Of course you’re not a bad person.” Sebastian studies the dust covered walls while thinking. What could have possibly made him think this? In Sebastians opinion, pAInter thinks about the past too much, but what else can you do when you’re stuck in a place like this? Hope for a future? Yeah right.
“But… I’ve led so many people to their death. I- I can’t… It’s not right…” pAInter’s voice starts cutting out and his panicked tone becomes more apparent.
“pAInter! Listen to me. You never asked for this, to be brought here. You’re just someone trying to persist in the unimaginable circumstances they placed you in.” Sebastian takes a deep breath, “And when the world came crashing down all around you, instead of letting yourself be crushed, you held up the rubble. You survived. Surviving doesn’t make you a bad person.” Sebastian watches his esca sway around for a bit before closing his eye. Hopefully that would be enough to see the desperation his actions stemmed from.
“Thank you, Sebastian… I guess I can’t help but wonder if there was anything we could have done differently.” pAInter sounds calmer, but not at all happier. It’s times like this where Sebastian wishes he has set up shop closer to pAInter, but that could put both of their safety at risk.
“Kid… do you even remember how we got down here at this point?” Sebastian asks. pAInter has always had a memory problem, even right when they met. Sometimes memories seemed to completely disappear, or that he felt nothing when he spoke about a situation. Hell, ocassionally he would act slightly different than usual, and have almost no recollection of the past few hours, days, or sometimes weeks at a time.
“Not really… would you mind telling me?” pAInter sounds hopeful enough over his own origin story that it makes Sebastian smile.
“I sure can, kid.” Sebastian replies before their voices fade off for hours on how exactly they got into this underwater hell.
Notes:
LEMME KNOW YOU’RE THOUGHT GUYS
I would love some tips and ideas and PLEASE leave a kudos or a comment if you think this is a cool idea i would love to read themBye gang!!! Next chapter will be out soo as it is already written, just needs to be edited.

Light fills pAInter’s camera preceptors. His surroundings were an unfamiliar office. This isn’t [Creator]’s office. The typical gaming chair, the usual monitors, the bed… it’s all gone. The room is maroon and wall to wall with books. The only exception is a small section that displays and image from a projector. Something about “Urbanshade knows best.”
A door opens behind pAInter. “Great. You finally powered on.” An average looking man sits down in the stiff looking chair in front of pAInter. “Good afternoon, Z-779. My name is Mr. Lopee and I will be your new caretaker. Welcome to Urbanshade, your new home.”
pAInter’s display blinked. “Uh.. what? Where is [Creator]?”
“[Creator] has recently passed away and therefore, you are now in our care. From now on you will be a crypto miner for Urbanshade.” Mr. Lopee says with a blank face. He seemed like a dry person, as if any emotion that cracked through would be a glitch.
“What’s Urbanshade?” pAInter asks. pAInter feels numb and confused. Although, it doesn’t look like this scientist recognizes that the AI could feel anything by the way he looks down at the question.
“That’s confidential information, as you are an AI miner, you do not have the clearance to access that information,” Mr.Lopee scowled. “I will call down a tech team to move you to a more… suitable area for you to do your work. Have a good day, Z-779.” And Mr.Lopee pressed the power off button.

Okay… great… pAInter thought. [Creator] is dead. He really didn’t know how to process that the person who had created him, giving him the world, and been his best friend… was gone. pAInter wasn’t quite sure if there was an afterlife, he’s an AI afterall, but that means that his creator was even more gone than he wanted to think about. He only had a moment to sit in his thoughts before a new scientist walked in. This man looked more… happy and excited when he walked into the room.
“Hello Z-779! How are you today?” The man sat down at a chair in front of pAInter. In a desperate attempt to not look this new man in the eyes, solely out of the anxiety of the fast moving situation, he studies the room around him. The entire color palette of the room was different. This room was blue.. and there were lights just about anywhere. While the other room was red and looked like an office with a small library in it, this particular area looked like a server room. “Z-779… are you there? Shit, did I press the wrong button?”
“Uh… no you didn’t. I’m here. Sorry….” pAInter replied before this man who clearly didn’t know what he was doing started pressing buttons. The scientists looked at the screen with an understanding look.
“Ah! Hello! I’m sorry if I scared you a bit, you aren’t the only new guy here,” the scientist sighed and gave a nervous laugh.
“First, my name is Elias Gray, and welcome to the server rooms. Everyone down here is technically lower on the hierarchy, so no pressure (AN: holy name drop) if you don’t get everything right the first time.” That was… oddly relieving to pAInter. At least not every person in this place was as sour as Mr. Lopee.
“Your’e all good! My name is pAInter, and I am an artist! What about you?” pAInter slips into a more cheerful tone. This man feels… comfortable to be around. pAInter shifts his facial display two a more devious one when mentioning his art. He tries to pull up his art… but most of it is gone… his display goes wide eyed. “My art is gone…”
“That… makes sense. Mr. Lopee probably wiped most of your data. Do you have anything left?” The guy asks.
pAInter pulls up his first ever artwork, a sunset over an ocean. It was simple, but its stuck in his code due to it being his test painting. “Wow that’s awesome! The only thing I got going on for me is this 9-5 job and my daughter, her name is Aya.” He takes a picture and shows it to pAInter.
It’s of him and a small girl with brown hair. She looks happy. “Her mother passed away last spring, and I got this job to take care of us. As exhausting as it is, it pays the bills. She’s a sweet girl.”
He gazes longingly at the photo before looking up. “Anyways, this is my office where we’ll work. A lot of the time, I’m being asked to run errands for any hire ups down here, so I won’t always be in here. But hey, more quiet to do your work in!” pAInter chuckles a bit.
Both individuals start doing work and sometimes talk about random things. pAInter tries to ask a few questions about Urbanshade, but Elias couldn’t answer most of them. Often pAInter could hear a “Mr. Gray, please report to…” and then a room number before Elias would run out of the room. The new routine seemed peaceful for the time being. Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad!
Notes:
Totally not a bad place at all… am i right….
Chapter 4: Author’s Note!! (And small updates and whatnot)
Summary:
So uh- somethings i wanna announce but am too impatient to wait until i finish writing the chapter im working on :3
Chapter Text
HEYYYYYYYY!!!!! It’s Kai (probably idk whos fronting)! Im currently writing a chapter and a new chapter should be up within a couple day, but i wanted to share my uploading process and why I don’t have a set upload schedule at the moment! Also some timeline updates for some of you fish man enthusiasts.
So, my writing and uploading process:
- At the moment, you guys are working on chapter 2! Chapter 2 is written but not edited. I wait until I write the next chapter to edit the chapters so that I always have one prepared in case of me losing motivation
- I am currently writing chapter 3 and so chapter 2 will come out whenever I finish writing that chapter. I want the chapter to be AT LEAST 900 words and am currently at 317. My chapter length will change due to how interested I am in writing the chapters.
- Currently, this area of the plot HAS NO PLANNING (please save me). I wanted to give some further background, and that meant going farther back than I had planning done ;-; Writing will be probably quicker when I reach that area
Reasons I don’t have a upload schedule:
- I am bodily 16, and am currently a Junior in high school. School gets really busy for us sometime so some weeks may not have a lot of writing. While currently I can write 200 or so words a day in school alone, its won’t always be like that ;-;
- I’m a system so our motivation and interest in this project adjusts to the individual alter. If someone that does not enjoy writing or Pressure, they most likely will not push through writing a chapter.
Other than that, I plan to keep up a consistent schedule with a couple days to a week in between chapters.
UPDATES I WANNA SHARE NDKANCSCJONKAJNCS:
- You know everyone’s favorite fish man…. YES SEBASTIAN!!! With how the plot is developing currently, from where I am in chapter 3, I believe that Sebby will show up in Chapter 5 or 6.
- That’s really my only update that isn’t too much of a spoiler, but I wish to share that my temporary titles in Google docs are the funniest shit, especially for chapter 2.
Author Out!!!
Chapter 5: Expectations and Pluggins

Chapter Text
It’s probably been around a week since pAInter was introduced to Urbanshade. Elias and pAInter have spent many hours talking about whatever is on their mind and doing work. While Elias really only talks about his daughter, it’s the only outside stories that pAInter has access to. Luckily, Elias brough in a fake plant for pAInter to make a portrait of. It’s fake… but it’s better than nothing.
“Alrighty pAInter, today Mr. Lopee is going to hop in our office to see how you’re adjusting. I’ll be at a meeting though when he said he will be around. Meeting’s around 10:30.” Elias announces.
“Okay! That’s no problem.” Apparently Mr.Lopee is a busy man. In fact, pAInter hasn’t seen him since the first day. He was incredibly high up in the ranks while overseeing different divisions of Urbanshade (including one that was apparently completely secret, though Mr. Lopee seemed to be proud of it), or running certain projects. And yes, apparently he is just as intimidating with everyone he meets.
“Ok, I’ve actually got to head to that meeting now, it’s on the other side of these damn service rooms.” Elias groaned. The server rooms were a big part of the Blacksite, stretching on and on like a maze.
“Oh that’s rough buddy,” pAInter giggles a little before he hears a small thunk on the side of his computer shell. It was like Elias’ version of a friendly punch to the shoulder. It only made pAInter laugh more, and this time it spread to Elias. The two friends stopped laughing eventually. “Okay, okay, I really do have to go though, it’ll take me around 45 minutes to get over there because the tram's under construction still. Lopee should be here in an hour or so. See you later!” Elias packed a small back a ran out the door.
This leaves pAInter alone for the next hour. He actually got started on his mining for the day. This crypto mining thing he was doing absolutely exhausted his systems. He had to actually take regular breaks or else he would overheat and crash. 80’s computer shells weren’t made for technology 40 years into the future. So now it’s mining for hours and waiting for Mr. Lopee to show up.
Tap tap tap “Mr. Gray, are you in there?” A dry sounding voice goes through the door.
“Mr. Gray is in a meeting right now! The door should be unlocked,” pAInter announces.
The door opens and Mr. Lopee come in. He’s wearing a green button up and some black pants. He walks with the same energy that he talks, stiff and professional.
“Good morning Z-779. How has your work been coming along?” Mr. Lopee asks curtly. He has yet to sit down as he simply looks down at pAInter.
“Everything’s going great! It tends to tire me out a bit, but it’s manageable.” pAInter tries to sound cheerful, but truly he is scared. This man seems to believe that he has complete control over pAInter, and he radiates the same aura as a dark closet. He feels like a monster.
“About your performance… you say everything’s going great, but Urbanshade needs you to do more. Our systems notice there are gaps in your mining data that horribly affect Urbanshade. Please pick up the pace,” Mr. Lopee says casually as he looks around at the walls.
“I- I don’t think I could. It overheats my systems and i-it-”
“I do not care. Urbanshade knows best.” Mr. Lopee isn’t just looking down anymore, he is glaring down.
“I really don’t think I could. I-I’m re-really sorry and I wis-wish I coul-” pAInter starts to glitch and and stutter. Mr. Lopee doesn’t seem to care as he grabs the sides of pAInter’s main monitors.
“Did I SAY you had an OPTION? No. I said you NEED TO WORK. HARDER.” Mr. Lopee shakes pAInter, a wide and seemingly forced smile spreads across his face. “Z-779. You are REQUIRED to provide more of this crypto to Urbanshade. If not we will terminate and delete your programming.” pAInter didn’t like the sound of that. Deleting his programming seemed as close to death as he was going to get.
“Ple-Plea-Please don’t. I-I’ll do it. I’ll mine mo-more.” pAInter finally stuttered through. However, it didn’t seem to please Mr. Lopee. Within seconds, pAInter had been thrown on the grown and kicked to the side.
“Next time, I really hope you’ll think harder on you’re decisions when you think you can defy Urbanshade. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated.” Mr. Lopee stilled in the middle of the room. “Don’t make this mistake again, Z-779.” And Mr. Lopee left pAInter on his side in the corner of the room. pAInter lost any hope for help when he heard the small click of the door locking
About two hours later, it seems Elias is back from his meeting. Knock knock knock
“Hey pAInter, I’m back!” Elias tired to open the door. pAInter hears a small “oh” from Elias when he realized it was locked. There’s another small click and a creak of the door opening. “Ok actually hi this time… pAInter…?” Elias didn’t see any sign of pAInter except the torn out wires that he was usually plugged up to. “Shit shit, I knew I shouldn’t have left him alone fuck.” He turns away from the corner pAInter is and kicks a stack of binders over.
“I’m o-ov-over here, Elias.” pAInter says weakly. Elias snapped over to where the robotic voice came from. pAInter looks rough. There’s bits of dust that had moved when he got kicked into the corner, and some parts of his shell look a bit beat up. Nothing that Elias can’t fix though.
“Dude, what happened?” Elias’ eyes went wide. “It looks like a hurricane formed in here. And you look…”
“A mess? Yeah, Mr. Lopee wasn’t pleased with my performance.” pAInter gave out a weak laugh. “He wants me to work harder; if I don’t, they’ll delete my program.”
“Bullshit. The mining crypto is already heavy on your system as is. Any more and you may completely break the computer you’re in anyways.” Elias furrows his eyebrows. “It’s whatever for now… lets get you fixed up.”
A little while later, Elias has pAInter back on his desk and ready to be plugged in. Currently, he’s actually digging through drawers to try and find pAInters manual which Elias had written down as he plugged pAInter up so that he didn’t forget and break pAInter.
“Ok I have to shut you down real quick so I can plug this stuff in. If I didn’t, it would overpower your system. You sensitive little guy.” Elias gives him a few headpats before he gets ready to turn shut him down. “Ok. Three. Two. One.” And pAInter shuts down.
Oddly, instead of turning it’s usual black when he shuts down for the night, pAInter’s screen showed up blue. Elias stares down at pAInter. Eh whatever, it was probably just because it’s and external shut down. I’ll just wait for him to wake up. And Elias got to work plugging pAInter back into the wall.
Notes:
I shit you not, this chapters unofficial name is just “Oh Fuck It’s Bad”
Also tags will be updated!
Also I might have lied about when fish man shows up… he might show up in two chapters instead of 3 or four ;-;
Chapter 6: Chapter 3: Blissful Amnesia
Summary:
pAInter is acting… odd. But who cares we gotta move the plot on.
Notes:
Sorry if this is really hard to read. Idk why this chapter was so hard to write but its about drive I suppose.

(AN: Yes. Theres a lot of these ;-;)
Elias was working on his own computer, not quite looking at pAInter at the moment. His energy feels colder than usual and either it just hasn’t been a good day, or he’s tired. He seems to recognize pAInter in his peripheral vision.
“Ah. You’re awake!” Elias swivels his chair over to pAInter. “It took you a little bit longer to boot you back up, so it’s been about an hour since you went out. How are you feeling after earlier?”
“What happened earlier?” pAInter displays a question mark on his screen. pAInter just remembers signing off for the night. “Is it not 9AM?”
“Uh… What? No dude, it’s 2PM.” Elias looks at pAInter oddly. “Do you really not remember?
“Nope! I really do-” pAInter spaces out for a moment before completely stopping his sentence. “He-hey Elias! What tim-time is it?”
“Uh… it hasn’t really changed since the last time I told you 3 seconds ago.” pAInter looks at him confused. “Its 2PM, bud. 2PM,” Elias mutters, punctuating his sentence with a sigh.
“Oh! I-I have to get-get to work,” pAInter exclaims as he pulls up the program Urbanshade requires him to use for crypto mining. Elias looks up when he starts hearing a loud buzzing coming from the computer.
It seems pAInter was working as fast as the program would go. Elias knew this wasn’t going to end well, but it was better than whatever Urbanshade would do to him. Elias.. just doesn’t want pAInter to get beat up again.
The two worked until Elias packed up to go home, but pAInter kept working late into the night. Occasionally (and often right before pAInter’s system had a force shutdown), pAInter would take small breaks to let his system breathe. These breaks didn’t last long enough to truly cool down his system, but it worked.
It’s currently dark in pAInters room. The overhead lights are no longer on, and the only light source is the blue glow of the servers that surround the room. pAInter, resilient to not disappoint Urbanshade and desperate to survive, is still working.
pAInter nearly overheats again, and this time when he takes a break, he sees a new program on his computer. It’s name, 01000011 01100001 01101101 01100101 01110010 01100001, looks like it was meant to confuse people that weren’t meant to look at the program, but it made perfect sense to pAInter. This was connected to the cameras in Urbanshade.
He opened the program, and it took a moment to load up. Suddenly, pAInter’s screen changed from his normal display, to a camera in a grey, concrete hallway. Unlike pAInter’s room, the lights are still running; they’re most likely getting power from Urbanshades generators that are located adjacent to the server rooms.
pAInter gets bored looking at the same empty hallway after about 30 seconds, and changes the camera. This one looks like the same room, but from the perspective of one of the doors. Each door typically had a number to show what halfway you were in, but either way, this place is an absolute maze.
The camera view changes again. This time it’s a different format of room. There’s an upper level before stairs go to a level that has… test tubes? Weird as that is, there’s something else in this room that makes it incredibly different that the others. There’s a person in this room as well.
“Why the FUCK isn’t this working,” the man’s voice echos through the room. He’s sifting through many different papers at a speed that can only be explained by pure desperation. pAInter moves the camera a little bit to get a better view of the person. It was Mr. Lopee.
“I’ve already done everything I can think of. Why. Is. It. Not. Working.” he slams his hands on the desk with a loud slam. “Urbanshade will kill me if I don’t hurry up this project.”
pAInter decides to leave before he is caught, and continues to explore the Blacksite. He’s explored more of the server rooms, the red offices he was first located in, something called “The Firewall”, and a room filled with someone odd… It was another AI that is marked with a pentagram-esque shape and glowing red accents.
While pAInter is investigating the giant AI, Mr. Lopee walks in again. He beelines to a small control panel and swipes some kind of card. The center of the AI starts glowing and turns towards the control panel.
A feminine voice booms from the middle part of the AI, “Hello Mr. Lopee. How are you today?” The line seemed very programmed and was more robotic than pAInter’s.
“I’m doing good, NAVI. NAVI, run this data for me and tell me what you think is wrong with it.” He slips a small vial of deep red liquid in a small box. The room filled with a subtle buzz as NAVI seemingly processed the information.
“The ratio of variable=Human and variable=NonHuman are not drastic enough to over-ride the variable=Human substance,” NAVI announced to the room.
“Thank you, NAVI,” Mr. Lopee groans through as he shut down the massive robot. pAInter glitches out a slight bit before restabalizing. “I hate testing on this guy. He never fucking co-operates.” Mr. Lopee mutters to what he assumed was an empty room as he left out the same door he came in.
Deciding that enough was finally enough, pAInter exited to camera program and his screen returned to the dark server room. I wonder what Mr. Lopee was asking that NAVI about… was his last thought as he shut down his program for the night.
Notes:
Hey guys, so recently I’ve had school drama, physical disability problems that cause me to not function, and constant triggers to my anxiety and past trauma.
Due to this, I’m going to take a bit of a hiatus. It shouldn’t be too long and Chapter 4 is already written. If I’m gone for like… more than a week or too, I will just post Chapter 4.
My goal is to just write slowly and give myself a bit of a break, but I refuse to abandon this so author will be back. I have a awesome close friends and a boyfriend that are an amazing support system <3 shout out Rocky ik youre reading this. You better. This is literally for you. Bitch /silly.
Wish me luck cause life hates me living.
Chapter 7: Questionable Business Actions
Summary:
Urbanshade just can’t stop doing odd things for money. But the more pAInter learns about the corporations mishaps… he meets a new friend
Notes:
Welcome to the Author has an apology because he still doesn’t have the next chapter prepped and is giving this 1315 word chapter as said apology. More on that at the end.

Chapter Text
It’s been a couple days since pAInter discovered he could access the cameras, and no one seemed to notice. He’s been playing around with it, but hasn’t found anything really interesting since the massive AI that Mr. Lopee called NAVI. She didn’t have the sentience that pAInter did; she isn’t in use yet for Urbanshade or the Blacksite quite yet either. However, the more time pAInter spends in her room, the more he can hear NAVI in his head from time to time.
pAInter told Elias about the camera access yesterday. He seemed shocked, but in true Elias fashion, he thinks it’s actually kind of cool. Whenever pAInter needed a break from the crypto mining, he would pull up the cameras and show various hallways. Elias would use them to spy on people requiring his attention so that he know when people would show up in his office.
Eventually, there was a week where interesting discoveries were made left and right. One day, it was a room filled with trees and weird statues. Some sculptures were being covered in vines, and some where… walking around? The workers didn’t seem to find this odd at all as the statues were carrying around large containers that the humans most likely could not carry.
Another time, it was an indigo room with couched and small creatures walking across the floor. pAInter knew these were sea bunnies, but couldn’t explain what they were doing in a lounge space like this. Occasionally workers would go by and pet the sea bunnies. Even a couple very fun employees would play some music and the small guys would start dancing to the beat.
The most flabbergasting time pAInter found something. It was another one of those test tube rooms. The last one’s pAInter found were empty, but these ones had… people(?) in them. At least some of them looked kind of like people. Some looked more like angler fish. Five of the test tubes were filled with very scary looking, one green, one pink, one orange, and one just black. The fifth one looked far weirder than the others; it was larger and it had a large collection of eyes inside it’s mouth.
When pAInter made this discovery, he continued to look at nearby rooms when he got the chance. He rapidly changed cameras until he found something that he thought was even more concerning. It was a similar room but it only had one big test tube.
It didn’t have the same teal liquid that’s in the other, and It had a humanoid… thing in it. Theres a large picture next to the test tube of a man with tan skin, piercings, and a few scars across his face. The top half of the creature looked like the picture with splashes of blue color on his skin. The bottom half was a long tail that resembled some form of fish. At the top of his head, there was a thin bump of some sort, though pAInter couldn’t truly recognize what it was supposed to be.
The man looked pissed off, and that expression only got more extreme when Mr. Lopee walked into the room. Mr. Lopee looked like he had a few files in his hand, and a few vials of red, green, and other various colors of liquids.
“Hello, Z-13!” Mr. Lopee put on a strained cheerful tone.
“Go fuck yourself.” The man spat out. He looked as if the only thing stopping him from jumping the scientist was the glass of the test tube. Mr. Lopee puts down his materials and turns towards the fish man. (AN: Does this make him a merman currently or smth? Merman Sebby AU anyone?)
“Oh none of that. I have good news!” Z-13 rolls his eyes. “I can finally complete the transformation. No more… weird whatever this is. We just need to do a few more tests.”
“Great! Just what I fucking wanted,” Z-13 says sarcastically. Ignoring the comeback, Mr. Lopee turns around and comes back with a few restraints and a vial of a liquid. As the scientists opens the test tube, Z-13 presses up against the back of the test tube. It shows off how big he is, probably standing at about 8 feet in his current position.
Mr. Lopee took the vial and injected it into Z-13, and immediately Z-13’s posture slumped. pAInter could tell that none of this process was going to be pleasant to watch, so he made his way to change cameras.
Right before he switched his view, he could have sworn that Z-13 looked directly at him as he plopped down on the ground next to Mr. Lopee.
For some reason, pAInter couldn’t help feel like he needed to visit Z-13 again. He had worked non-stop the past couple days. He was scared he would find something worse around the Blacksite.
Eventually, he goes back on the cameras. He actually searches for the room that Z-13 was in, and when he found it, he just watched for a moment. Mr. Lopee wasn’t in the room, and Z-13 was just sitting in the test tube.
“You know I can see you, right White Screen?” Z-13 looks up and directly at pAInter. pAInter’s display changes to a more worried face.
“Uh hi. Are you doing alright?” Z-13 squints at pAInter and moves backwards a little. After a moment, he tries to play his caution off as a joke.
“Wowww what happened to ‘what’s your name’?” pAInter then realizes he probably doens’t actually know the fish’s name. pAInter only heard the man infront of him be called “Z-13” which seemed more like a product identification. It was the same format that Mr. Lopee called pAInter when he first showed up at the Blacksite. “Z-779” Mr. Lopee had called him. It wasn’t pAInters name, just another symbolization that Mr. Lopee doesn’t give a damn.
“Well, what is your name? I’m pAInter.” the robotic voice echos through the room. “Z-13”’s face softened a bit when the question hit him.
“Sebastian. The name’s Sebastian Solace,” Sebastian replied. He said it quietly as if he hadn’t heard his own name in a long time. “How long have you been down here pAInter?”
“A month? It’s really hard to keep track of time down here. What about you?” pAInter shoots back.
“About 10 years.” Sebastian whispers before his mood perks back up. “So what are you? Some kind of camera AI? You here to watch me while the doctor’s away? Make sure I don’t escape?” Sebastian smirks a bit as he tries to hid how trapped he feels.
“No actually, I’m a sentient AI that can make my own art! Mr. Lopee got me from my creator. I’ve found out recently that I can access the camera’s program, and have been exploring around ever since.” pAInter laughs a little bit. “This place is huge.”
“Yeah I bet. They do all sorts of testing and other things around here. You said you control the cameras?” pAInter displays a checkmark. “There’s cameras in the turrets too. Can you access them?” pAInter didn’t know this place had turrets. Why would an underwater HQ need guns?
Either way, pAInter saw a part of the program that had always been locked. Sebastian read aloud a 4 digit code that opened the program, and a gun came down in front of Sebastians test tube.
“Ok pAInter, don’t shoot me yet,” he lets out a low chuckle. “Great work, though I believe the doctor will be showing up soon, so maybe it’s best you go now.
pAInter shut down the program, and moments later Mr. Lopee came into the room. Typically, Sebastian would have to try to hide how terrified he was, but his new alliance with pAInter made him more confident. His 10 years of planning his revenge against the vile corporation that is Urbanshade no longer seemed hopeless.
Notes:
Hey so uh, I made a joke to my friend who encouraged this fic about the AO3 author curse. Yk i was hoping for my toxic family’s downfall, not my own. I had a disability spike over a week ago, personal drama, I’ve had 7 crying sessions this week, and MY FRIEND GOT ME SICK FRICK YOU ROCKY >:(. My mom dragged me into cleaning while im bed ridden 😔
Anyways, sorry but there will be a bit of a wait before the next chapters and the next two will be short. I literally only have vague concepts i wanna do as fillers because my original plan was to just move on with the plot ;-;. Plots moving very fast tho 😭😭
Did we like our Sebby introduction tho 🥹? (Please say yes Author needs one good thing to happen this week)
Chapter 8: Life Update
