Chapter 1 The Pocket Ranch

Ash was excited to go to the Sinnoh Region, he was traveling with Pikachu on one shoulder, his Aipom on the other. He’d just completed the Battle Frontier run, and was even given the option of becoming a Frontier Brain.

Putting a pin in that for now, Ash carried on his journey. He’s been through so much. Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, the Orange Islands, the Battle Frontier. He’s caught various pokemon, and grown a lot as a trainer. Sure he’s made mistakes, but he’s learned from them.

There were things he wished he could have taken part in. He missed so many contests, he didn’t participate in PokeAthalons as much as he could.

His quest to be a Pokemon Master had his sights set on Sinnoh. If he was gonna become a Pokemon Master, he needed to do more than just gyms. Juan and Tucker were skilled trainers and dabbled in both gym and contest style, combining the skills to heighten their abilities.

It made sense in hindsight, being a Pokemon Master didn’t mean just being a great Pokemon Battler or even becoming a League Champion. He wanted to experience everything the Pokemon World had to offer.

As he headed to Sinnoh, little did he know Team Rocket was following him, looking for a chance to strike to take his Pikachu.

Genki was so excited. He was finally getting his trainer license/pokedex. The boy was being sponsored by Professor Rowan. He was to get his Pocket Ranch. This was a dream come true. “Mocchi!” Genki called.

Based on Genki’s favorite Green Tea Mocchi, his little buddy Turtwig had evolved into a Grotle. He was a special little guy, his coloring was very rare some would call him a Shiny. Genki was given him as a gift. They’ve been together ever since, and through preparing for their future Mocchi evolved.

He grabbed a shower, washing up and cleaning up, before Mocchi came in. “Hey buddy!” Genki squats down and spreads his cheeks, exposing his hole.

Mocchi licked his lips before approaching, burying his face into Genki’s ass and licking him. “Ohhh!” A Grotle’s tongue was long and thick. Genki got positively fucked by his monster’s tongue.

It flicked, rolled, wiggled, darted, his hole getting stretched open and licked out. The tongue fucking continued until Genki came, his whole body shaking. This might seem strange in other regions besides Alola, but Sinnoh had deep rooted ties between people and pokemon closeness way back into the ancient days of Hisui. In Sinnoh they even recognized Pokemon Marriage, even if it wasn’t super common.

Genki loved Mocchi and vice versa. He turned around and hugged the grass type, kissing him and the two made out a little. Genki returned the favor, jerking off Mocchi’s massive penis until he came.

The shower washed away the evidence and Genki got ready. The Grotle watched as his trainer got dressed. White tank top, jock strap that showed off his ass, he wanted to be ready to get mounted at any time. He put on some brown shorts. His shoes were a combination of of regular shoes and skates. With a push of the button he’d be skating with blades.

He loved skating, he actually raced in skating events for prize money. In order to become a Rancher he’d need start up capital for training tools and stuff. He’d been preparing this all his life. To him Rancher was the perfect blend of trainer roles. Trainer, Breeder, Coordinator, Athlete, and so on, while having it’s own things to do.

Genki loved Pokemon Battles, he always tried to watch the Pokemon League tournaments. He remembered some highlights from the Kanto Tournament, there was a crazy fight on the Grass Field were a Bellsprout had nearly swept the entire team, turned things around on a dime, that is until the trainer sent out a Muk. It really showed how pokemon battles weren’t set in stone, Pokemon didn’t need to evolve to be bad ass if trained right, and that pokemon had natural talents.

The same trainer had entered the Johto League and did an amazing clash between a Charizard and a Blaziken. Denki was surprised that in the Hoenn tournament he didn’t use any of his precious pokemon except Pikachu. It showed off his Hoenn Pokemon sure but Genki thought that had he used his older Pokemon he’d have won.

He enjoyed watching contests and pokeathalons as well, but nothing stirred the fire more than the Rancher Games. Type Matches, Horde Battles, Capture the Flag, Pokemon Chess, and each year they brought a potential new game to the table to see if it’ll become a staple. There were even special programs Ranchers could partake in. A lot of groups wanted well trained Pokemon to assist in exploring the Underground.

Since Ranchers became a thing advancements in the Underground had led to discoveries of Hisui Pockets, hidden worlds still retaining the energy of ancient Hisui.

Genki finished getting dressed by putting on an orange hat and bringing on his back pack. “Let’s go!” He got Mocchi’s ball and returned the shiny.

With his skates he made it to Rowan’s lab in record time. He received his Pokedex, Monster Balls. “Here you are your Rancher Watch!”

“Yes!” Before he could take it a Honchkrow snatched it and took off with it. “EHHHH!” Genki gave chase ending up at a mysterious lake. He battled the Dark/Flying Type with Mocchi, the mon coming out in a flurry of sparkles, and despite the type disadvantage Mocchi was tough. Staraptor thought he was slow, and let it’s guard down.

“Rock Climb!” His claws glowed, and his speed surged. The Grotle charged and conjured stones to climb and slammed the flying type down. “Nice one Mocchi!” People would underestimate a turtle pokemon, but Rock Climb allowed him to make use of his speed. “Now use Leech Seed!”

Mocchi fired the seed and it hit wrapping up the wild bird and drained him of energy. “Krow Krow!”

“You made one big mistake Honchkrow, today I’m a trainer. I’m gonna become the best Rancher, and that includes raising, taming, and training Pokemon.” He got a monster ball. “Monster Ball Go!”

The ball hit hard, Genki has been practicing throwing Monster Balls, using targets and special beanbags. He could throw curve balls, give balls a spin for extra impact. Given the damage and energy drain Honchkrow was weak enough to be captured.

Jiggle...Jiggle...Jiggle...Ping!

“I caught Honchkrow!”

“Grotle!” The mon cheered. Genki picked up his Rancher Watch.

“Come on out Joker!” He nicknamed the Dark and Flying type. Joker manifesting. “Welcome to the family!”

“Krow!”

“Hmm?” A sudden fog rolled in and the rancher and mons witnessed something mysterious at the lake. “Whoa what was that?” Before Genki could check his Pokedex, the fog lifted. “Aww man!” He looked around, but no sign of it. “Maybe…”

Genki stripped butt naked before diving into the lake. Joker’s jaw dropped at the change up. Mocchi was used to it. He searched the lake but couldn’t find anything.

They came back to the lab and Genki got officially registered as a Rancher. The watch would hold his Ranch and Rancher Tools which could be conjured in available spaces. “You can gain more space and gain various tools by competing and winning in various events. You can also bye specific or custom tools.”

Genki was so excited. He set off on his adventure, coming cross a very familiar Pikachu. “A Pikachu?!” Genki wanted one, remembering the trainer from Kanto. “Let’s do it!”

He was a bit too excited as he called out Joker. This didn’t go well as Pikachu unleashed a Thunderbolt. “My bad Joker, sorry buddy!” He called out Mocchi next and since he was a Grass type he could handle a few zaps, he appeared in a wave of shiny sparkles.

But then…

Pikachu busted out an Iron Tail and knocked Mocchi for a loop. “Wait...it couldn’t be…” He tossed a ball, it hit, but had no effect.

This Pikachu was Ash’s. They had gotten separated from each other thanks to Team Rocket. Team Rocket’s Pokemon were still chasing Pikachu.

Genki stepped up and helped fend off Meowth, Seviper, Wobbuffet, Cacnea and Dustox.

Joker handled Cacnea and Dustox, fighting with a fierce Wing Attack that was super effective. Mocchi handled Wobbuffet with Leech Seed and Seviper with Rock Climb. Pikachu dealt with Meowth with Thunderbolt.

They escaped and Genki got in touch with Professor Rowan who had made contact with Ash. The two were reunited. ‘It’s him...it’s really him!’ Genki felt a little star struck.

He was surprised when Ash was also getting a Rancher Watch. “You’re gonna become a Rancher too?”

“Sure am, I’ve thought a lot about it, and Professor Rowan filled me in on everything.”

“Heh,” Genki rubbed his nose cheekily. “Then that makes us rivals!” He flashed his Rancher Watch.

“Sure does, looking forward to it.” Ash said.

Ash revealed he had a Starly now, caught thanks to the help of Aipom. He was also with a taller boy, Brock the gym leader of Pewter city. They’d crossed paths while Ash had been searching for Pikachu.

The hits kept on coming as a purple haired boy showed up. This was Paul who bumped into Ash earlier and they butted heads a bit. Paul was rude and a tad cruel, believing only if a Pokemon was good enough were they worth raising. He showed this by catching three Starly, scanning them with his Pokedex before releasing the two he deemed worthless.

Ash didn’t agree with this method at all, any Pokemon could become great with the right training. Paul wanted to prove that, suggesting they have a 3 on 3 battle. “How can I prove it if I just caught this Starly, I haven’t had time to train it.”

He had a point. “You could use your other Pokemon!” Genki said excitedly.

“How do you know….” He was cut off.

“So you have other Pokemon, hurry up and bring them on. I want to see what you’re made of.” Pikachu already didn’t like this guy.

Ash checked his Pokedex, with the rancher Watch he heard he could have an additional 5 pokemon carried with him. Paul saw the Rancher watch and thought Ash was a fool for trying to take on too much.

Dexter: Ash Ketchum trainer from Pallet Town, carry limit 45!

“Ehhhh!” They went outside and Ash opened up his Ranch. It was huge! The Barn was the size of a mansion, with various facilities and tools for training, for different pokemon included. “You did say you entered the league of Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn, you even took on the Orange Islands and the Battle Frontier.” Rowan said. “The Ranch expands based on the wearer’s accomplishments.”

Ash’s Ranch had a “Backyard Beach” a unique facility that was like a mini water park and pocket beach. A unique facility that cost a TON of money to own, but those who entered and won the Orange Islands tournament got it for free. There was a greenhouse full of special bean trees, Element Beans could be fed to pokemon of specific types, with rare Rainbow and Golden beans appearing for any types.

Type Huts containing the perfect conditions for specific types of Pokemon. Even Paul was a little impressed, though hearing he took on the battle frontier really caught his attention.

As proof of his victory Ash had the “Rumble Pyramid” a mini unique facility that housed Ash’s own private battle field. It was as nice as most league gyms inside. Genki was amazed. His ranch only contained a small barn. There was more to explore but Paul was getting impatient.

“Hurry up!”

Ash decided to bring his pokemon over to enjoy and see their new home. Bulbasaur, Kingler, Muk, Bayleef, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Donphan, Swellow, Sceptile, Torkoal, Glalie, and even brought over all 30 of his Tauros! Ash had all his Pokemon with him, who weren’t in training.

Genki looked around not seeing Ash’s Charizard or Squirtle.

Paul got a wicked idea, he had them continue the 3 v 3 but he wanted Ash to use his Pikachu and his Cyndaquil.

Chapter 2 Battling Paul, Erupting Evolution!

Ash was really excited about his ranch and reuniting with all his Pokemon. There was a whole bunch of different facilities there and he wanted to check them out. Paul, however, was getting impatient. “Will you quit stalling.” He snapped.

The Pokemon turned to look at Paul and didn’t care for him very much. It was the way he carried himself and how he talked to their trainer. “What a jerk.” Genki muttered.

Paul wanted their match to be 3 on 3 still, but he wanted Ash to use Pikachu and Cyndaquil specifically. ‘Why those two?’ Ash wondered.

Brock crossed his arms. He couldn’t shake the feeling Paul was up to something with those picks. Rowan eyed the boy suspiciously.

Ash called out Starly. “You watch and learn Starly.”

“Star!” The mon said. Ketchum’s Pokemon gathered around, he had a full cheer section.

Paul started with his own Starly the one he deemed worthy because it knew Aerial Ace. Brock served as referee, and they used Ash’s Battle Pyramid facility. “Aipom I choose you!”

Aipom came out, doing a little spin before striking a pose. “What is this?” Paul said, clearly not amused by Aipom’s performance.

Ash smiled. “Aipom likes contests, they are a performer pokemon.”

‘He’s gonna be doing contests?!’ Genki thought.

“What a waste of time?” Genki turned to glare at Paul. “This will be quick.”

The battle began and Paul started things off calling for an Aerial Ace. Starly surged in and went at Aipom.

“Dodge it Starly, have fun with it!” Ash said.

“What is he…” Paul had no idea what he was about to encounter. Aipom terrorized people before meeting Ash, stealing hats, running amok, it was very hard to catch him.

He jumped and flipped getting out of Starly’s reach. Aipom was quite speedy. Genki’s eyes sparkled. ‘Their speed is ace’s and their jumping power is fantastic!’

Aipom jumped and flipped staying out of Starly’s reach. “Use Wing Attack!”

Starly came at Aipom wings glowing. “Use Focus Punch!” Aipom charged up a fighting type move, and clashed with Starly. The moves hit, energy bursting, but Focus Punch won out and while at reduced power still landed a heavy enough blow.

Paul called for another Aerial Ace, while Ash called for Swift. Aipom’s tail glowed golden and as he waved it stars flew out and began pelting Starly. It showed real grit surging through the stars and landing a hit on Aipom. “Use Fury Swipes!”

Aipom pounced on Starly and began to attack creating a small battle cloud.

“Wing Attack!” Paul called for.

The Starly flew at Aipom swiping at him with it’s wing. Aipom dodged, doing a flip, and their tail was ready. “Use Focus Punch!” His tail glowed and wham, it came down like a hammer and Starly was knocked out.

“Starly is unable to battle.” Brock said.

Ash saw the little Starly’s potential, it showed grit, with some training they’d be an amazing pokemon. They had skill and if the two formed a bond…

Paul returned Starly. “Pathetic.” He hissed.

Ash praised Aipom for their victory, he did a happy spin before bowing. His other mons cheered at the victory.

“Chimchar standby for battle!” Paul called out

Ash got excited. “Who’s that Pokemon?” He pulled out his Pokedex.

Dexter: Chimchar the Chimp Pokemon, a Fire Type. It agilely scales sheer cliffs at to live atop craggy mountains. Its fiery rear end is fueled by gas stored up in it’s belly even rain can’t extinguish the fire. The fire will go out when it sleeps. They are very agile pokemon, full of vigor and high spirits, often known by the name Lantern-Tail.

“Looks like you got your Chimchar lesson for the day, can we battle now.”

“Alright Cyndaquil I choose you.” His Johto Fire Starter came out, his flames burning bright.

“Let’s see what you’re made of.” Paul called for a Flamethrower.

“Cyndaquil you use your Flamethrower too!” It was a test of Fire Pokemon power as two streams of flames came and clashed with explosive results.

“Whoa!” Genki exclaimed. The match was heating up.

Next was a clash of Flame Wheel. The two mons collided, but while Chimchar took damage, Cyndaquil seemed stronger. “Cyndaquil use Flamethrower!”

“Block it!” Paul ordered.

The powerful flames erupted from Cyndaquil’s mouth, more powerful than before and Chimchar used his hands to black the flames. As a fire type he was tanking the hit well, his tail flame growing a bit. Paul smirked.

“Use Dig now!” Chimchar dug underground.

“Be careful Cyndaquil.” Ash ordered.

The monkey mon came up and knocked Cyndaquil up into the air, landing hard back on the ground. Chimchar began to celebrate but the fight wasn’t over. “Use Scratch!”

Paul’s Chimchar charged in. “Quick Attack Cyndaquil!” Cyndaquil moved with great speed surprising Paul and Chimchar as the other fire type was hit hard and knocked back.

“That’s fast, but not good enough.” Paul called for another Dig and Chimchar dug underground.

“Be on guard Cyndaquil!” Ash called.

Chimchar was playing around, making five holes and popping up between them like a game of whack a Diglet. The fire type was taunting Cyndaquil. “He’s fast but we got this, Cyndaquil use Swift and aim it down in the hole.”

Cyndaquil obeyed rushing over and unleashing energy stars down the hole. Swift was a very unique move, the stars surged through the tunnels until Chimchar was forced out of the hole with the stars pelting his butt. “Now Flame Wheel!”

He surged, creating a wheel of fire that slammed into Chimchar before he hit the ground. His tail flame started burning more. ‘Is this it?’

Genki noticed Paul didn’t seem concerned by the amount of damage Chimchar was taking. ‘Could he be doing...that…’

“Flamethrower now!”

Chimchar unleashed an impressive Flamethrower, and yet Paul clicked his tongue. “Block it with Flame Wheel!” Cyndaquil did, the two flames colliding with impressive force.

“Not good enough!” Paul said confidently, but he was wrong. He failed to notice earlier but Cyndaquil wasn’t taking damage from fire type moves. Ash’s Cyndaquil had the ability Flash Fire! Negating fire damage and adding it to his own power.

Chimchar’s attack was indeed powerful, and there was an explosion of heat, before a blinding light. Ash’s eyes widened.

Cyndaquil evolved into Quilava, the evolution happening on Sinnoh Soil was a unique blessing. “Quilava!” The mon roared.

Ketchum was so happy, and with a quick check of his Pokedex he learned Quilava had a new move as well from his evolution. “Chimchar finish this up with Dig!”

“Quilava down in the hole and use Eruption!” Quilava followed Chimchar underground and unleashed his new move. The ground heated up before there was a huge burst, flames erupting from the ground.

The move relied heavily on the user’s HP, but Quilava had barely taken damage this fight, so the effect was immense.

Chimchar had fainted and Paul got annoyed. “Useless.” He hissed as he returned Chimchar to his ball.

Meanwhile Ash was celebrating not only his victory but Cyndaquil’s evolution. The cheers from the other mons was dazzling show of support. Genki could see a warmth around them, meanwhile Paul’s side was cold.

In this battle Ash had won two matches, so in this 3 v 3 match Ash was victorious but Paul wasn’t done. He wanted the Pikachu vs Elekid battle. It showed what kind of trainer he was.

Paul took hits in a way to toughen up and make his pokemon stronger. Countering Volt Tackle with Protect, to leave Pikachu dealing with the recoil. Elekid had a wicked personality, matching Paul’s energy.

Their clash was intense, and in the end Pikachu vs Elekid ended in a draw. Brock made the call.

Paul wasn’t as dismissive of Elekid, but what shocked everyone was how he released Starly. “What are you doing Ash demanded.

The Starly Paul caught looked confused. “Get lost!” He said coldly.

Starly hesitated but flew off. Ash’s Starly felt bad for the little guy. Paul’s treatment was cold.

“I’ll find a better Starly then that one.” Paul pointed at Ash. “I got what I needed, I’ve seen what kind of trainer you are. I look forward to crushing you!” With everything that happened Ash almost forgot, Paul used 3 v 3 battles to test a trainer’s skills.

He took one last look at Ash and all of his Pokemon, before he scoffed and left. As he scanned them he saw potential challenges, and was already calculating ways to crush Ash’s mons. He looked at Ash’s unevolved Pokemon and saw them as weaklings.

But something stuck with him, seeing Ash’s ranch, all the facilities Ash’s accomplishments on full display. It didn’t quite add up. He had questions, but he was sure of one thing. Ash was worth crushing and Paul wanted to crush him.

“You were amazing!” Genki rushed over to Ash. “So you’re gonna be a rancher?!” Genki was excited to have a rival.

“Sure am!” Ash nodded. “Happy to meet a rival.” He said offering his hand. Genki shook it.

“Do you mind if I see your ranch?”

“Not at all let’s go guys.” Ash said happily. Rowan explained some of the facilities Ash had. For completing the Hoenn league, he had the Ruby Bathhouse, a facility with a natural hot spring, it helped with fatigue. For completing the Johto League he had the Silver Medical Tent, it helped with healing and curing pokemon. Pikachu, Quilava, and Aipom rested in there and just being in the tent helped them recover. Yellow Alter a facility that promoted focus when pokemon trained.

Because of his badges, he had a full set of Training Sandbags, Health, ATK, DEF, SPD, SP.ATK, and SP.DEF. Genki recognized Ranch Gadgets to train special stats for Pokeathalon and Rancher games. Treadmill ** – Speed and Stamina, Trampoline ** – Jump and Stamina, Moving Target ** – Skill and Accuracy, Flying Target ** – Jump and Skill, Slot Machine ** – Pokemon Move Training and Power, Pitching Machine *** – Evasiveness, SP.ATK and SP.DEF, Slap Machine *** – Stamina, DEF, and Power, Wave Pool *** (Training Item from Orange Islands) – Power, Stamina, Speed, Phonograpgh *** - EXP, Skill, and PP Boost

“With your record if you complete the Sinnoh League you could get four star gadgets, and if you become a Champion you’d get a special 5 star gadget unique to the region.” Had Ash won in his past leagues he’d have gotten an additional reward on top of the facilities he received. “You’ll gain gadgets for winning badges, ribbons, medals, and can get upgrades by competing in the Rancher Games. Of course if you get all the badges of Sinnoh you’d get extra special gadgets.”

“All the badges?”

“Didn’t you know, in every region there are at least 12 gyms registered with the Pokemon League.” Ash recalled Gary had 10 badges in Kanto and was shooting for 11, he didn’t get the Earth or try for the Volcano Badge. It completely slipped Ash’s mind.

Having so many gyms meant trainers had options, as well as the gym leaders having free time to improve their skills and explore their interests. Ash got even more excited, he could feel it Sinnoh was gonna be great. He was gonna make great leaps and bounds on his journey to be a Pokemon Master.

Rowan helped Ash with something else. Seeing he had so many Tauros he offered to help register them to his Ranch as Ride Pokemon. At his level he could register up to six mons to assist with tasks. Ash registered 3 of his Tauros, giving them special collars.

His “barn” was a mansion, a room for every pokemon. Brock gushed over the kitchen. There was a living room, a play room, and a couple of bedrooms for people/guests. Ash’s bedroom had a bathroom, with a nice tub and shower combo. Outside was stalls for a communal shower. There was also a fire pit for camping and sleeping under the stars.

Genki had looked up to Ash, and having him as a rival only spurred the boy on. He was gonna leave and set out on his journey but after a rest, he sees things that makes Genki choose to travel with Ash.

To be continued…Ash’s Companions

Genki wakes up late and hears something going on, he investigates and his jaw drops see Ash give Quilava an evolution/victory fuck. At first he thought he was dreaming then he saw Ash and Brock fooling around in the communal showers. Genki is adamant about traveling with Ash.
