Today was pretty action-packed. Zooble getting ripped up by Gloinks, Ragatha glitching out, Kaufmo abstracting... Yeah. Pretty action-packed. Everyone seemed to be burnt out, especially Pomni as she literally just arrived. Caine sympathised with her. After being the ringmaster for so long, it was evident that newcomers - like Pomni - can get very very stressed out. So it was understandable that she would want to relax for a while. Or, what exactly ''relaxing'' is in the circus. The most common answer was sleep. Otherwise it would be ''to get away from Caine's stupid @*! adventures." , says Zooble. At the moment, everyone was asleep. Everyone but Caine. He was busy trying to plan the next adventure they would have. Currently, Caine had settled for a adventure called ''CANDY CARRIER CHAOS!''. The idea was that the group of five would have to capture bandits that stole maple syrup from the kingdom and return them to the princess. Granted, it sounded like a children's story. But everyone wanted to be a kid again, right? Being an adult isn't as fun! Maybe it would be the best choice for the group. And being honest, Caine only had the one adventure planned. He didn't know what was wrong with him. He just didn't feel like planning adventures lately. But no, no, no, no! Caine wasn't letting anyone off that easily! He will push himself to get anything done for them. Even if it includes a little... improvision. Also, he just liked getting them out of the circus. I mean, he wouldn't have to deal with their CRAZY shenanigans! With that, Caine settled for Candy Carrier Chaos and decided that maybe he should go to bed. Maybe take a walk. Maybe see his beloved Moon. NO! Maybe not. He didn't want to get caught. He didn't love The Moon. So why would he go to see her? ...But he did want someone to talk to. Yet Jax, Ragatha, Zooble, Pomni, Kinger, Gangle were asleep and Bubble was quite annoying. He let out a sigh and stood up from his supposed ''work desk''. He opened the window quietly and flew towards where the moon was. She had her eyes closed but she could sense his presence. The Moon opened her eyes slowly and looked at the floating figure infront of her.
''Why hello Caine~ I thought you weren't going to come tonight.''
She said with a flirtatious voice. So many people could tell she loved Caine. Yet Caine was to oblivious to emotions.
''Greeting my Moondrop! Of course I would come, I was just caught up with personal things. Today was a wild day!''
Caine replied, his usually loud voice hushed down a bit. The Moon smiled a bit more, her lips curving up to a gorgeous smile. The most gorgeous smile Caine had ever seen. He tried to return the smile, but it was quite difficult because his head was a set of teeth.
''Wild, hmm?~ Tell me lovely, how wild?''
And so that's how Caine opened up to her. He rambled on about how Kaufmo had abstracted without him realising. How Pomni had arrived a little while back. How Gloinks were everywhere and no one seemed to be engaged with cleaning them up. Moon looked at him with a desire in her eyes. With hunger in her eyes. He looked so adorable when he vented to her. The way he would pout. The way he talked quickly. The way how he looked so vulnerable and that she could pounce on him. That's what she loved about him. She just wished that Caine wasn't as oblivious to emotions. Was the flirting not enough to prove to him just how much she loved him? Was the sweet nicknames they shared with each other not enough? She'll find a way. A way to show him how much she wanted him. Suddenly, her thoughts were interrupted by a loud sigh.
''May I?...''
Caine said in a shy voice, finger pointing to the curve in The Moon. She chuckled a bit before saying,
''You are always welcome to dear.''
With that, he floated down to the curve and curled up in there. The moment he did so, his eyes felt abnormally heavy. Like anyone would, he closed them.
''Moon..''
''Yes darling?''
''Can you sing me to sleep?''
''Of course I can my love.''
She softly sang daisy bell over and over until she heard his breathing become shallow, soft snores filling the night-time air. The Moon switched to her human form (which was more likely her having a human body but still having a moon as a head. She caught Caine in her long arms, looking down at him. His pearly whites, his suit, his slightly crooked hat... His adorable little waist that she so easily could grab... What was she thinking. Caine would probably never let her do that. The Moon glided to the window Caine had come through to visit her and opened the door to the outside (or rather, the inside of the circus). She walked around until she found a hallway of rooms, which appeared to be bedrooms of the guests. Whilst walking, she noticed a door with Caine's face on it.
''Bingo.''
She whispered softly. Silently opening the door, she placed the sleeping man into his bed. The Moon pulled the blankets over his body and gently kissed his forehead, leaving a blue lipstick stain.
''Goodnight... my Caine.''
