Work Text:

No one ever said that being a ghost was easy.

In fact, in twenty-plus years, Trevor’s convinced that it’s actually harder than being alive.  So much boredom and very little to do.

Which is often why he likes to entice his boyfriend into doing stupid things – they’re ghosts, it’s not like they could die anyway.

Pete is rather resistant of Trevor more stupid ideas – jumping off the roof, for one, was a no-go.  (No matter how many times he tried to argue that they wouldn’t get hurt in process).  He tried getting him to jump through the wall of the second floor (because it’s less of a drop), but that was a no go, too.

So, then, Pete suggested a bit more fun game – a kissing game.

Trevor loves kissing.  All different types of kissing.  Any kind of kissing.

Especially when it’s kissing his boyfriend.

So, they agree.

It sparks a week of random different types of kisses.

Sunday morning, Pete saddles up beside him and kisses his cheek and then runs away (because that was also part of the game) to be caught later and kissed as passionately as Trevor likes.

Monday morning, Trevor sneaks up behind him and kisses the back of his neck before taking off and getting his kiss reward later.

On Wednesday, Pete sneaks Trevor’s hand to his lips and kisses his hand and wrist and nearly forgets that he’s supposed to run away when Trevor manages to tighten his hand around Pete’s and pulls him so he’s kissing him so passionately there’s an uncomfortable tutt in the background.

On Thursday, Trevor makes a point of random, unexpected kisses throughout the day – sometimes when he’s alone, sometimes when he’s just watching livings with others, and sometimes when he’s in the middle of talking to someone (that one would get Trevor in trouble with other ghosts, but the grin on Pete’s face makes it worth it).  He’s pretty sure that Pete’s caught on by the end of the day, but he obviously doesn’t mind.

On Friday, Pete tries to be sneaky.  Claiming that he just wants to rub his nose against Trevor’s because he heard that it was a special kind of tease to be so close to kissing, but not actually getting it.  Truthfully though, he was just waiting for a sneak attack kiss to his lips, his jawline, his neck… and only Sam’s surprise entrance into their room had caused them to break apart.

So, on Saturday, when Trevor sees Pete laying on the bed with head hanging upside down just off the edge of it, he knows he’s up to something.

“What’s going on here?”

“Oh, Flower told me that she thinks hanging out upside down gets the blood flowing to the head and might help me come up with better sneaky kiss ideas,” Pete offers, looking at him upside down, with his glasses precariously close to falling off.

“Oh?” Trevor prompts as he sits on the ground next to his head.  He’s in the perfect position to steal a kiss at just the right moment.  “Are you sure you want to take advice from Flower?”

“Well, she is knowledgeable about kissing.”

“So am I.”

Pete grins and rather than say anything else, he leans to the side and kisses Trevor spiderman style.  It’s cute and different and Trevor doesn’t really want to run away this time.

The break apart and Pete blinks.  “Aren’t you going to run?”

“Nah, I think you win.”

“Oh?  What’s my prize?”

Trevor grins as he gets up and joins him on the bed.  Pete shuffles so he’s laying on his back and propped up on his arms.  “Me.”

“Golly gee, I like the sound of that.”

“Good.”
