Summary:

Now that Lin Ling is in the top ten, he's been invited to the Official Top 10 group chat. Minutes later he's added to the Unofficial Top Ten Chat.

How Lucky Cyan got his number he has no idea.

What sort of crazy hijinks do they get into in this chat.

He'll just have to see.

[Lucky Cyan has added The Commoner to Unofficial Top Ten Chat]

Lucky Cyan: Welcome to the chat!

The Commoner: Thank you for adding! This is so cool!

Little Johnny: Hey man nice to have you!

Loli: sup

Queen: Congratulations on making the top ten.

The Commoner: Thank you! But can I ask something?

Lucky Cyan: Of course!

The Commoner: why are there two top ten group chats?

Lucky Cyan: oh! The other one is the official chat that the commission uses for notices and stuff. It has all the top ten and the commission can see it.

Loli: this one has all the cool heroes. And Ghostblade.

Ghostblade: ...

Little Johnny: don't be mean to him Loli! He saved me in the ruins!

Lucy Cyan: plus if you play your cards right he'll be your father in law Loli

Ghostblade: 😬

Loli: Who taught him how to use emojis?

Loli: I just want to talk

Loli: I promise

Little Johnny: see you say that but I don't think you mean if

Loli: come to my floor and I'll show you

Queen: speaking of Nuonuo, how is she doing?

Loli: better. She's out of the coma and each visit she's able to spend a little more time awake.

Ghostblade: She's strong.

Queen: We're sorry we couldn't get there sooner.

Loli: don't be. If you had been any later then she probably wouldn't have made it.

The Commoner: uh...I feel like there's a lot more to the story than a random villain attack at the ruins.

Loli: you're right

Queen: But we are under strict NDAs to not talk about what happened.

Little Johnny: Ghostblade probably could. He went independent. So there's no one to keep him from talking about what happened... except he can't talk. And typing out everything that happened would take a while.

Little Johnny: plus I think he's too old to type fast.

Lucky Cyan: back on track guys. So yeah this chat has only certain members of the top ten.

Loli: E-Soul, Nice, Nice when you were pretending to be him, Dragon Boy, and Ahu were left out of this chat.

Lucky Cyan: there's nothing wrong with Ahu!

Loli: But he's a dog. How is he supposed to text

Lucky Cyan: and Hero X but he's not in the official chat either.

Loli: does he even have a phone?

The Commoner: I guess that makes sense.

The Commoner: Oops gotta go, Miss J is almost here to yell at me again

Lucky Cyan: for what?

The Commoner: revealing that Nice is dead. She put a lot of work into maintaining the illusion that he was alive.

The Commoner: everytime she sees me she starts yelling again.

Lucky Cyan: are you okay?

The Commoner: oh yeah! I'm used to it! She's scarier than my old boss but at least I would have to fight her on national television

Queen: Wait, were you the man they said committed suicide after being fired?

Little Johnny: huh? Did that sentence make sense to anyone else?

Queen: Sorry. I left out some of my logical conclusions. Do you remember the episode of True Love Recipe that Nice was on?

Little Johnny: Oh right! I saw that advertised everywhere. I skipped that episode tho.

Loli: same. But Ghostblade probably watched it.

Ghostblade: yes

Little Johnny: Ghostblade watches True Love Recipe???????

Ghostblade: No

Little Johnny: but you just said

Ghostblade: Recon

Little Johnny: what?

Little Johnny: oh

Little Johnny: I get it.

Queen: Anyway, during the show Enlighter brought out an executive from a company they severed ties with.

Queen: He also mentioned an employee who had been fired and committed suicide. Lin Ling.

Lucky Cyan: Oh!

The Commoner: yeah that's me. Nice jumped off the roof of a building right next to me. Then Miss J found me up there him down there. Realized I looked enough like him to pass and worked on fixing me to be just like Nice.

Lucky Cyan: that must have been horrible to witness!

Loli: and a horrible process to go through. Becoming that asshole couldn't have been fun.

Little Johnny: why were you on the roof?

Ghostblade: ^

The Commoner: uh...

Lucky Cyan: oh

The Commoner: I don't know what I was going to do. I was thinking about it. But then I got mad at Nice. Then of course I was freaking out because he showed up after I had just cursed his existence very loudly.

The Commoner: so I'm freaking out thinking he's going to kill me for what I said.

The Commoner: and then he jumped.

The Commoner: and both our lives got a lot more complicated. Him big having anyone he cared about mourn him and me having to keep him alive.

Little Johnny: well if you ever need to chill, Big Johnny is excellent at cuddles.

Lucky Cyan: can confirm

Loli: I hugged him once and I felt like a different person.

Ghostblade: Nuonuo also enjoyed it.

Little Johnny: Oh wow! That's the longest sentence you've managed over text!

The Commoner: huh?

Little Johnny: Ghostblade can't express himself to other people. It manifest mostly in an inability to talk. Body language is a hit or miss. But texting and writing is also difficult, if it made to communicate with someone.

Loli: for example a diary or journal is fine. But if he were to write a letter it would be difficult.

Little Johnny: we've been experimenting!

The Commoner: is it because of your believers?

Ghostblade: 👍

Loli: ugh not the emojis again.

Little Johnny: but emojis seem to take very little effort for him to send.

The Commoner: ugh that sucks. I thought the OCD I got being Nice was bad. You and Moon have it much worse.

Little Johnny: oh? What was Moon's?

The Commoner: Imagine being a teleporter but you can only teleport to one person who you hate.

Lucky Cyan: ha ha I win Johnny!

Little Johnny: darn

The Commoner: ?

Little Johnny: we had a bet. I thought they were in love and Cyan and Queen said no way.

Loli: you bet against the girl whose power is good luck?

Little Johnny: not my finest moment.

The Commoner: oh shit. Miss J is here. And she is fired up about something. Got to go!

The Commoner: Good morning everyone!

Lucky Cyan: it's so early 😭

Lucky Cyan: I haven't gotten up this early since I joined DOS

Little Johnny: gwd orng

Loli: hkkb honhinh

The Commoner: uh

The Commoner: what?

Queen: I think Johnny and Loli tried typing good morning with their eyes closed while still partially asleep. Also, good morning.

Ghostblade: 👋

Lucky Cyan: why are you wake so early?

The Commoner: I'm trying to figure out all my powers.

The Commoner: some of them are similar to Nice's since I guess that's what people were thinking about when my trust value shot through the roof. But I didn't really get much time to explore them during the fight with God Eye.

Lucky Cyan: that makes sense. I mean most of us were lucky. Johnny was able to figure out his power easily since everyone saw him calm down Big Johnny. So obviously his is taming animals.

Loli: I don't have powers but the more people who think my suit is powerful the more powerful it gets/I can make it

Queen: I'll admit to leading my believers towards a useful power for myself during my speech.

Little Johnny: what ever was Nice's powers?

The Commoner: being the perfect hero. Flight, super strength, grace, power, etc. Though the grace was natural I think. He was a dancer.

Lucky Cyan: how do you know that?

The Commoner: Miss J put me through a lot of training to pass as Nice. It wasn't just some make up, contacts, and hair dye in the beginning. She drilled me on being him.

Little Johnny: is that how you were able to pass on True Love Recipe?

The Commoner: um...no.

Little Johnny: then how did...

Little Johnny: oh

The Commoner: I wasn't expecting to have to fight villains you know? I probably should have realized I would but Miss J had been focusing on True Love Recipe because that would be my first appearance and Nice. If I failed there she wouldn't have to worry about anything else.

Lucky Cyan: do your fight was just you winging it?

The Commoner: kinda? As more people believed I was Nice the more I became him. Down to his moves

Loli: it must be weird to suddenly start turning into someone else

The Commoner: yes it was. But it was also kinda cool? I mean who doesn't want to be a hero?

Lucky Cyan: I wanted to focus on music. Becoming hero was part of the exchange. But now I love it! Because it helped me save my friend and other people in the orphanage

Lucky Cyan: are you okay?

Queen: Do you need assistance?

Little Johnny: Big Johnny and I are in the lobby we can come up!

The Commoner: No, I'm okay! Sorry for worrying everyone!

Little Johnny: what happened?

The Commoner: uh...I was looking for my weights to check my strength and...tripped over one. Like I said the grace was all Nice.

Lucky Cyan: Ooooh! We should all go to the gym! We can try out his powers in a little sparring match!

The Commoner: I just got my powers and you want me to face a majority of the top ten?

Little Johnny: it's just a spar! Don't worry! Besides if we put you up against Cyan first you'll probably discover all your powers in the first ten minutes.

The Commoner: aren't we going to have to fight each other in the Hero Tournament? Wouldn't sparring make that harder?

Little Johnny: Cyan, Queen, and I spar all the time. Obviously we don't go all out.

The Commoner: alright sounds fun!

Loli: GB and I can't come we're going to visit Nuonuo

Lucky Cyan: try not to kill each other in the car
