Chapter Text
It had taken you days to even figure out that you were in genshin, believing firmly in not looking at leaks or anything about an update before it comes out, so you were clueless about nod krai.
The only sort of hint was the art style, but you would never have guessed something based on how reality looks.
Coming across this strange world was akin to a fairy tail at first, the animals made you feel like a disney princess, and even the weather seemed to be on your side; the warm weather mixed with a slight breeze made sure you didn't feel too hot or cold.
It all felt perfect.
But then you came across a woman with beautiful horns and four legs.
—---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Running forward you tried to be as quiet as possible but it's extremely hard to do that when you're running in the woods.
Having seen an opportunity to escape nod krai you took it, night meant it’d be easier to blend in but also meant you’d have to escape the lightkeeper which was just one person to escape from but a lot stronger then a lot of other nod krai inhabitants.
A shadow appeared in front of you,a weird form that looked like they were trying to mimic hands, they made a grab for you. In response you threw your body sideways, just out of their reach.
In the process a tree scraped your arm but you didn’t have the time to stare at the golden blood coming out.
Getting up you picked up your pace, having to dodge many different shadowy hands trying to catch you, Flin’s was near.
Approaching the exit of nod krai you allowed yourself to feel a sliver of hope, that sliver causing you to let your guard down, which ended up causing you to run straight into a shadow.
Instantly all of your mobility was cut off from you, your arms and legs tied down, you would have fallen down had it not been for the same shadows taking your ability to walk holding you up.
It wasn’t long until you heard the footsteps behind you, the light from the lantern Flin’s was holding made you squint your eyes.
“If you had wanted to take a stroll at night you simply could have asked me” Flin’s stepped in front of you, holding his hand out as if you could actually take it, “your grace”
Pale gold eyes stared into your soul and you couldn't bring yourself to say anything.
You couldn’t say anything even when he brought you back to that same luxurious bunker that you’ve spent an unknowable time in. Only after patching up your arm, slamming the door, and using every single lock to keep the door shut did the shadows release you.
You were about to punch the door but then you felt one of the cat's lauma had given you rub itself on your leg.
“God damnit” you said quietly while hugging the cat.
Despite being from the woman who essentially kidnapped you, you still couldn’t bring yourself to hate it, cats are the only thing that can spear through hatred.
How in god's name did you go from a gamer who doesn’t know what grass is to this?

Lauma walked with aim, this time even the animals couldn’t stop her, she shifted from her four legged form to two legged.
She walked into a cave pushing back the many different plants hiding it from the world, ignoring how as she got closer and closer to her destination the wildlife got more intense and sharp. Luckily human beings created shoes or else her own feet would be getting hurt right now.
Eventually lauma came across what she wanted to find.
A mutilated corpse, drenched in golden blood, and stabbed by nearly every single type of weapon in existence.
Lauma made sure to pay her respects before leaving.
