 "Satoru I fucked up bad, I'm sorry. I don't know—" he breath heavily through the phone "Something took over me and I— I killed them all. Everyone. It's a mess. I burnt them and I don't feel guilty. Satoru what have I done? What is wrong with me?" 

If just like Satoru you listened to this voicemail more than you should have, you could faintly hear the voices of two little girls, crying in relief.

" Satoru I swear to God if you're not here in a minute I'll force you to carry me the whole way to Utahime's birthday party. You were supposed to be here half a hour be— Fucking hell!" 

Suguru was leaning on his side against the corridor's wall when he felt a touch on his waist. 

"Satoru what are you doing? You scared the living shit out of me." 

He mumbled something in his ear Geto didn't quite understood as he hugged him from behind. Distracted by the heat of Satoru's body against his, Suguru weren't paying attention to the hand coming dangerously close to his phone.

"Satoru you little bitch. Give me that damn phone."

"Nah I don't think I will."

When Suguru tried to take his mobile away from Satoru's hand, he found a cold wall instead.

"How dare you use Infinity against me!"

Satoru stick out his tongue and took a picture. 

"I'm making it your wallpaper. Aren't I beautiful?"

Yes.

"Satoru..." 

"And now I'm renaming myself to a — what the fuck?"

Suguru was livid. Had he found out? Did he clicked on Shoko's discussion and found the thousand messages of Suguru pining for him?

" You named me fucking Gojo ? You can't be serious right now! Am I in a lucid dream? I am offended Geto."

Suguru let out a breath.

"Here, much better."

Satoru hand him back his phone, looking a little too proud of himself. He felt the heat of his skin again, no more infinite.

Suguru read "The Love of your life" on Satoru's contact. He has no idea.

"More like annoyance of my life but well..."

Satoru put a hand on his chest, gasping dramatically.

"How dare—" Suguru turned his back to him, heading in the opposite direction to hide the faint blush on his cheeks.

"Come on Satoru, hurry up we're gonna be late."

"Yeah, yeah."

"Hello ? Hello ? Hellooooo.... Ah gotcha! You're on Gojo Satoru's voicemail, leave a message at the tone!"

'Hello Satoru. You don't call anymore. I— I can keep listening to your old voicemail but I know them by heart now. I want to hear your voice again. You know where I live, right? You can come. I'd like you to come, just one night. Please.'

Morning light filtered through the curtains. Six eyes decided to be a little bitch today and it wouldn't let him sleep. Instead, he watched streaks of sunlight on his best friend's face, following his breathing with a hand on his torso.

It was a bad idea. He shouldn't have come in the first place.  But Satoru was the weakest man despite being the strongest sorcerer.

"I don't think I know how to live without you, Suguru." He whispered, putting his head on his torso.

He sat on the edge of the bed, gathered his clothes and crossed his fingers. He leaned to kiss his lover one last time whispering three words as he did.

If a tear rolled down the cheek of the sleeping man, neither acknowledged it.

Suguru closed his eyes at the pain in his best friend's voice. He knew he betrayed his trust but couldn't he see ? Everything he did was for him. Killing all those monkeys will free Satoru of the burden of being the strongest Jujutsu sorcerer. And they could live happily. Without the curse without fearing the death of their camarades. He had to do it. At least to try to achieve his dream. Even if Satoru felt betrayed. Even if he wasn't willing to talk to him ever again. He had to. Still, somewhere in the back of his head he wondered if it were really worth losing everything he loved. He opened his eyes, shaking that thought and listened to Satoru, still talking in his ear.
