Chapter Text
Miranda hadn't been happier, her life had changed since she had been on the Normandy.
She thought she had it all working for Cerberus, money, a great job and a chance to change the world. But working with the crew of the Normandy she had found friends, respect, a new view of the universe and love, an Asari no less. Sa'mene Lisir was thin Asari that was as tall as her and didn't look much over 20, even thou Miranda knew she was 105 on her last birthday. She had seen a lot of the galaxy but it still blew her mind on the longevity of the Asari.
Sa'mene lived on the Citadel and they where walking hand in hand along the Promenade where they had first met. The silence was golden, they didn't need to say thing.
Eventually Sa'mene Lisir broke the silence. "Commander Shepard is your boss?"
"That's right"
"The Commander of the Normandy SR-1?"
"Yes, I've mentioned that to before."
"No, you mentioned you worked for Cerberus on the the same ship as Shepard, the NR-2."
Miranda's thought went back to how things have changed, that she was calling Shepard her boss now, not Cerberus.
"Your right I never realised I had not, I should introduce you." "That may be awkward. We've met before." "Oh!" Miranda's grip around her girlfriends hand tightens.
"Why what happened?" hoping that it's not what she thinks.
"We where at a fancy function, where she asked me to dance. I believe it was a tango. It was racy and quite interment. I will spare you the details but we spent the night at mine. But we haven't seen each other since."
"When was this? Why didn't you tell me?" Miranda rapidly said. "It was about 3 years ago, and I didn't realise it was the same person up until now. You keep the details of your work pretty close to your chest." Miranda relaxed a bit loosing her grip. Sa'mere's past relationship where irrelevant. "For a reason most of the time, and when ever I'm with you I don't want to talk about work." Then kisses her Asari girlfriend on the cheek.
Smiling Sa'mere chimes in. "There was another reason I mentioned it." "Why is that?" "There is a rumour going around that she has a thing for Asari."
"Doesn't everyone?" "That is true to certain extent. But she usually gets her women."
"Usually?" "There was one person who declined her invitation for a reunion."
"Don't say she had a perfect girlfriend." "Yes she may even call her a perfect specimen." Miranda smiles, before responding.
"Why are you telling me this?"
"If you want to get keep in your bosses good book's or should I say great book's, I know a few people."
Miranda smiles.
