Chapter Text
Holy. Fucking. Shit. This place is the actual definition of boring, it’s just the same routine over and over again. It’s like we’re puppets being controlled by our puppeteer, we have no autonomy here besides the little freedom we get during the breaks between rounds. It makes me feel much worse knowing I’m the newest addition despite being here for around 3 months I believe. All of the killers already know each other and I’m just struggling to even get two words in without feeling dejected.
After finishing my internal crisis about being the outcast, I was soon transported into a round with 5 survivors today. Normally it would be more but it seems The Spectre is going easy on me thankfully. Since I got here, it’s been quite fun to be a killer. Black roses bloom from where survivors are standing if I’m close enough to catch them in my vines, slowly withering them away. The first survivor I spotted was Noob. Such a weak-minded individual, only caring about their food and protecting themselves. Selfish, ain’t it?
They are always the easiest to dispose of, all they do is run, lose their energy and breath as I bring them to their demise. Their poor little Elliot tried his hardest to help, but his fate was already sealed when he came to throw Noob a pizza at their last moments alive. The rest of the round was… somewhat smooth besides the Two Time trying to backstab me and the Guest missing the majority of his blocks. How amusing. I thought they were all better than... that. It seems my expectations were set too high for them.
After the round ended, it seemed as if there were no more for today, but it’s odd how they ended earlier than their usual time. There were clocks in the cabin, normally all rounds would cease at 8 o’clock sharp but today they ended at 6. I was honestly more confused than the other killers, not knowing the actual reason behind the rounds ending earlier. I assumed it was most likely The Spectre toying with us or just giving us our well-deserved break, which is honestly somewhat nice. I decided to take advantage of this extra time to practice in my own personal limbo.
It’s always nice to just practice at the end of the day. The tranquility of being alone after a long day is so enjoyable, and plus I get to practice different ways to wither the survivors' life away. I left my limbo an hour later and for some reason, all of the killers were downstairs discussing something. The only thing I could hear from the murmurs of being upstairs is “a new potential killer.” It was honestly surprising, a new killer this early? It was 7 months from the last new killer when I was transported here.
I made my way downstairs to see if the others were actually right where we would finally get a new acquaintance, hopefully I can actually manage to become somewhat friendly with them since the other killers just exclude me from their activities. As everyone was waiting, the new killer got teleported into the middle of the cabin, they were a lanky purple figure that showed half of their skeleton. It didn’t even phase me, I’ve seen my fair share of gory shit during rounds in this god forsaken place.
Oh. I just now realised who they were after being dumbfounded for a moment, the infamous hacker that goes by the name Noli. A fitting addition to all of us misfits, another hacker to join in on our endless torment. Well, it seems like I should just get straight to the point and talk to them. Or are they a he or she? Who knows. Well, I think I should just figure that out, they just seem to be blankly looking around, taking in their surroundings. I honestly thought it would’ve been louder, but everyone is just… standing still. I guess it’s up to me to be the one to break the ice.
“And… you must be Noli, correct? If I may ask, how did you end up here?” I asked them, my voice coming out more hoarse than I expected thanks to the withering. They seemed to snap out of their delirious state, quickly turning their head to look straight at me. A cackle could be heard from them, yet I could barely recognize it was a laugh since their voice was so glitchy.
“You a-are inde-e-ed… coooorrect! T-T-To answ-w-wer your questi-i-ion… Blame 007n7.” Huh. Despite their- his voice being glitchy it’s easy to understand and doesn’t put strain on the ears. I looked around for a moment to see that me and Noli were the only ones in the main room of the cabin. Well… now this is what I was dreading… Small talk. Who came up with such an annoying thing?!
…Honestly, it was actually quite pleasant to talk with Noli. I showed him around the cabin and we discussed our lives before we were transported here. We decided to go outside, only because I needed to show him his cabin since there were no actual bedrooms in the main cabin that the killers usually stay in when they wait for rounds.
“I’ll explain this once more, there are usually 10 rounds or more, depending on how long they last everyday. There are only breaks to rest and fine tune our abilities in our own personal limbos. You are able to view other killers’ rounds but we don’t know exactly how you are able to. Now, you should probably practice in your limbo for tomorrow, I am normally the first killer to enter a round so you can watch mine if you’d like.”
I managed to get out way more than a sentence this time as I explained the basics to Noli. We walked slowly towards his cabin. I knew he was listening since he was nodding along to what I said. I wished him a farewell and a good evening, walking back toward my cabin to hopefully fine tune my abilities and get a decent night's sleep for once in this hellhole. The walk back to my cabin was relatively nice, the soft breeze and the faint ruffling of leaves in the back was a satisfying sound to hear, especially when the only thing you hear is survivors screaming. Every. Single. Round.
