Chapter 1:
They just left him. They left Jonny on this shitty planet. It's not the first time they have done this, but it’s the first time they have left him so long that he's pretty sure they're not coming back for him.
It has been about 2000 years since they left him on this godforsaken planet and he hated it here. At first it was fun, he killed lots of people, even did it as a job for a while as a gladiator when he found himself in Rome and no matter the outcome of the fight he had a good time. He also drank a lot, this place didn't have the best variety he had ever seen but it was still alcohol so he drank it. He also (though he would never admit it) loved learning the languages, and history of this planet. Nothing worth a song but it was interesting nonetheless. And he was able to enjoy himself because he knew his crew would come and get him eventually.
But by year 500 he was starting to doubt that they were coming back, only a little but it still hurt. He still killed and learned but the idea that they might not come back, that he’ll never see them again, that he will be stuck on this planet for the rest of its shitty existence or at least until space travel was invented, made everything less fun.
By a 1000 years he had started to really miss his crew, he had missed them before, he started to miss them around year 200 but he was able to ignore that feeling of emptiness that not being with them caused, until he truly started to think they weren't coming back. It wasn’t just a possibility any more, it was the most likely scenario.
The thought that they hated him so much to leave him, and the idea of never seeing them again broke something in Jonny. He didn’t know what pushed them to leave him here, maybe it was that they were sick and tired of how trigger happy he was, or how rude he was, or how much stuff he broke, or, or, or…. There were so many things that they could hate him for, so many things he now regrets. He thought they were ok with him, sometimes annoyed and sometimes angry but never hated him.
He thought of Nastya as a sister and loved her like one too. He thought that she thought of him in the same way. They had been there for each other when no one else was. They hid from the Dr together, and supported each other through the emotional turbulence that flowed when Carmilla ‘fell’ out of the air lock.
He thought him and Tim had something, well almost everyone had something with almost everyone, but he thought he and Tim had something more than that. He loved Tim, actually loved Tim and thought Tim might have felt the same. But guess not. And that really fucking hurt. He can understand why Tim wouldn’t, he cursed Tim with immortality. Tim should hate him for that.
He thought about the rest of the crew too, about how much he cared about them, the connection he thought they had and the thousands of reasons why it was foolish to think they care about him.
After he started to think they weren't coming he just started to drink and drink and drink and whenever he was sober enough to walk or hold a weapon he would kill until he found some alcohol and would continue to kill until he was too drunk again. He stayed in this drunken rage for about 500 years, he hurt so so much that losing himself in alcohol and violence was the only way he was able to live. Being able to think straight hurts too much.
After a year of struggling to find any type of alcohol he found out that he was on Earth, Tim's home planet, just 700 years before Tim existed. With his revelation Jonny decided to make his way to England, he knew more about England than any other place on the planet (this includes the places that he's lived bc he doesn't really remember much form the last 500 year because of the shit tone of alcohol in his system the whole time) because Tim had talked about it a lot, unlike most of the crew of the Aurora Tim actually liked the planet he came from and talked of it fondly on many occasions. Jonny was happy as he recounted the memories of these conversations he had with Tim.
It took a few years to get to England, travel was not the best at this point in the Earth's history.
It was on this journey that he realised that by the time the Moon Kaiser war broke out he must have left Earth or something. Because he would have caused something to catch the attention of The Aurora and the rest of the crew during the war if he were still around. And he definitely doesn't remember another version of him running around so if he was around it would break the rules of time (he and the rest of the crew did that a lot but this would break time in a far worse way than he thinks it possible). So what happens? Where did he go? Do they actually come back for him? Does he somehow die?
After making it to England he stops drinking as much because the possibility that they come back for him is back on the table. This gives him enough hope that he doesn't need to be so drunk he can hardly stand to find his existence bearable. He also wants to try and be better if they do come back, he doesn't want them to hate him or for them to find him unbearably annoying, and leave him again.
So over the next 500 years he goes between; wanting and trying to be better, not drinking or killing (much) and trying to learn as much as he can to fill the time in a non destructive way.
And… Giving in to his nature and drinking so much he dies from it and/or joining a war and killing hundreds of people.
There wasn't an in between.
And it was during one of the ‘trying to do better’ periods of time he joined The Magnus Institute.
Jonny had always noticed weird supernatural things happening from time to time but had always been too busy with being miserable and drunk or trying to be better do to actually look into it, and even if he would never admit it he was also scared of looking into something like this without his crew, so he never tried to hard.
Jonny finally had the time and no reason to not look into the supernatural. So not wanting to admit that he was scared he started to work there.
Chapter 2: Jonnys description:
Summary:
I forgot to describe Johnny's non-human traits in chapter 1, so here is his description.

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
Jonny's description:
I was meant to fit this in the first chapter but forgot so this is a description of Jonny's non-human traits and how he has hidden them.
Jonny has a tail, it is long and thin with a bit of fluff at the end. He hides it by wrapping it round his waist and wears baggy/layered clothing.
He has long elf-like ears, he hides them in multiple ways depending on the situation. He has used hats, head band, hoods and is currently hiding his ears in his medium length hair.
He also has extremely sharp teeth and fangs. They aren't super noticeable, they do look really sharp and his fangs do look unusual but they aren't so different from human teeth that people notice or if they do they just think Jonny must just have abnormal teeth because of genetics or something. But just in case Jonny does try to hide his mouth as much as he can without drawing suspicion.
Notes:
If anyone has any other cool ideas for his or the other mechs designs pls comment them.
I do already have an idea for what the other mechs look like but i will always welcome more ideas.
:)
