Chapter Text
Leo swears he had more than just 2 brothers, he remembers having a twin. His older brother isn't making it any better because he just keeps saying 'Leo I think you are just making things up, I know you really want a twin but we have never had a fourth brother, so stop bringing it up.' or whatever. He feels like his brother knows something but he can't tell... He tapped his leg. "You know what I will just look myself i don't need you guys to help me, hmph" he said into the dark, and turned to get ready to leave the sewers. It can't be that hard looking for another turtle that looked similar to him right?
It didn't know what to do except pace around the small room it was thrown into for doing a bad job at hunting someone down. It huffed and continued pacing, and it started thinking about the color blue, it missed blue though it doesn't know why it knows that blue was someone important.... well it thought the color belong to someone who was very very important to it, it remembers kind of ........it's head throbbed as it continued to pace the room. What was it thinking about again? It paused, it huffed and growled under it's breath, it's head was hurting and it couldn't remember what it was thinking about. It's thoughts halted to a stop as the door was thrown open which startled it. It turned to face the person who slammed open the door, and it was it's master. It hissed slightly as it's master got closer trapping it in the corner, it's shell hit the wall and it yelped, and started flattening to the ground trying to make itself look smaller, it whined before it was grabbed by the lip of it's shell and carried out the room. It whined trying to figure out why master was taking it out so soon, maybe it was going get punished it didn't know and it was terrified. It stopped struggling after a while of being held, it panted and looked around trying to figure out where it was going. It was soon tossed onto the ground, it yelped and scrambled to get on its hands and feet, it looked up and growled. "Quite it, damn animal" the master kicked it. It yelped in pain as it got kicked, it stopped growling after that and sat there staring up at the master waiting for whatever it was taken here for. "Good now I need you to hunt someone down for me like the good pet you are" the master took out a little piece of fabric that seems to be taken from a jacket or sweatshirt and then shoved it in front of it's face and it sniffed the fabric and locked onto a scent, it looked back at it's master before taking off.
After a little while of searching and looking around they finally found the person they were looking for. Finally they thought. They jumped down and pounced onto the person and started attacking the person. After a little of the person struggling it messed up with their footing and the person got their knife wielding hand and stabbed the back of it's leg. It stumbled backwards with a loud yelp, they then fell on their shell and then hissed out in pain. They heard a loud ringing in their ears before passing out.
Leo stood on a rooftop and looked around, "hmmmmmmm this is going to be harder than I thought... Ughhh were do I even start!" He grumbled and clicked in anger. After a second of calming himself down he looked around and chose a spot to start looking for his missing brother. He started jumping from rooftop to rooftop while looking all over, he passed over a certain alleyway before he heard a yelp, he stumbled to a stop and almost fell off the roof. He slowly made his way to the edge of the roof that the yelp came from. He looked down and saw a guy starting to stand up and a.... turtle? Maybe a feral dog? He continued to watch and the turtle dog fall over and hiss and click before it fell limp and the guy took off. Leo jumped down from the roof when he didn't see the guy come back, he looked around while walking towards the very human looking turtle. He stopped just before it and he gasped, oh my God... That's my brother isn't it? He looks more dog in shape as it seems he's been walking on all fours for a while. It's legs are bent like a dog but he's extremely skinny looking, almost certainly malnourished. He gave his brother? A once over before picking him up and adjusting the very light turtle to be more comfortable on his back, he took off to a manhole he saw not that far away so he can get this turtle looked at (and prove Raph wrong).
Chapter 2
Notes:
I'm sorry this took a while, I got sick and kinda forgot u was writing a fic, and I just remembered that I already had this chapter pretty much done so I finished it.
Ummmm thanks for the kudos! It helps motivate me, because I know at least some people enjoy it! <3
I might write some check in with the weird master person but I don't know yet.
If I wrote raph a little weird or it doesn't really seem like him it's probably because I mostly analyze how don and Leo act because they are my favorites but I'll try to write Mikey and raph as best as I can.
Now please enjoy!
Chapter Text
Leo didn't realize how far away he was from the sewer system he lived in, and this turtle was starting to get heavy, despite how skinny he was. Leo should train more if it's this hard to carry a malnourished softshell, or maybe it's just how long he's been carrying him. He continued forward a little bit before finding a spot to take a break against the sewer wall. He set the softshell down and started looking over him to make sure the only wound they had was the stab wound on the leg. It seemed all he had were some bruises and older scars, and already healing scratches, jeez, what did this turtle go through? Leo continued to check over the turtle and make sure the leg was the only bad wound. He dug around in his fanny pack, which he had around his waist, and grabbed a roll of gauze. He used the gauze to tightly wrap the wound; he knew that not cleaning it out before putting the gauze on was not the greatest, but he wanted to wait till he made it back home so he could get a better look. Leo sighed and leaned back against the wall and closed his eyes, and breathed. Now what would he tell Raph? Does Splinter know about their fourth brother? Knowing him, he probably did, but Leo continued to breathe for a few more seconds or maybe minutes; he wasn't counting, and then he started getting up and getting ready to continue home with his mystery brother. Leo picked up the turtle carefully and put him back on his back, made sure he and the turtle were comfortable, and then continued on his way through the sewers.
Raph was in the training room, hitting a homemade punching bag that he mainly used for an hour before he realized that he hadn’t heard Leo in a while. The last time they talked, Leo was still asking about a missing brother, making him a bit upset for telling him that they never had another brother, and he stormed off. Raph paused his training and headed out of the training room and into their little kitchen to see if Mikey was hanging out and making food. “Hey Mikey, you out here?” “Yeah, Raph, I'm making food!” Oh, he was right. Well, he'll see if maybe Leo is hanging out with Mikey. He got into the kitchen, paused, and saw that Leo was not in there. “Hey Mikey?” “Yeah, Raph?” Mikey said, turning to look at Raph, “Have you seen Leo? I haven’t seen him or heard him in an hour or so.” “Oh, um, no, I saw him heading out, like an hour and a half ago, I thought he came back, but I don’t know, I was busy trying to make food.” Raph hummed in acknowledgement, “Maybe he just went for a walk. I'll wait a little longer to see if I need to go search for him, but he’s probably fine.” “Yeah, he more than likely did go for a walk. If you need anything else though, let me know.” “yeah Mike I'll let ya know” he said smiling at Mikey before he turned around in the direction of his room and walked off.
It was no more than 15 minutes later when he heard Leo make it to the entrance of the lair. He was so grounding Leo when he's done talking to him about the importance of telling someone where you are going, instead of just disappearing. “Hey Raph?! I'm going to need your help!” Raph heard Leo yell, and that's when he started to panic and quickly walk out of his room and towards the entrance. Did Leo get hurt? Was he ok? These were very important questions that would need to be answered when he makes it to Leo. Soon enough he made it to the entrance and all but skidded to a stop so as to not completely crash into Leo. “What? Did you hurt yourself? Are you alright? Did you break something?” Raph said all of this while frantically scanning over Leo, his thoughts halted to a stop and so did he because as soon as he looked up and at his shell there was a noticeable humanoid turtle? On his back… “uh Leo.. what do you have on your back there?” Raph asked cautiously, “To answer your previous questions, I am fine but this turtle is not fine, and I need help carrying him to the med bay so I can properly treat him.” Leo instructed and started to pick the turtle the shell it rested on and put him in Raph’s arms. He then told Raph to put him in the med bay and wait there so Leo could get some warm water and some cloth.
It can faintly feel itself get set onto the ground, it was kind of cold and it's leg hurt like hell. And then the wound started to throb worse because someone started to try and clean and wrap it, well it did not in fact enjoy the feeling of the throbbing or the feeling of someone touching it's skin, it sort of made them want to scream and crawl of their skin to escape the sensory nightmare, soon after it felt itself fall back into whatever this dark fuzzy place was, maybe they were it their head, that felt right. They didn't like it in here too much, it felt a little too close to the small space they got thrown into when it failed a hunt, they kinda wanted to wake up and face whatever punishment it was going to get for failing this hunt, I guess we are going to have to wait because it doesn't look like we're going to wake up for a little while.
It started to feel itself waking up and settling in its skin, weirdly this didn't feel like the cold ground of the room. It felt scratchy and soft at the same time, it kinda felt like a bed? That’s weird, the master never let them have a bed as animals don't deserve beds, or whatever. They flexed their fingers, they were numb and the stabbing tingling feeling was very uncomfortable, it let out an uncomfortable chirp followed by an angry low hiss. It then was soon aware of the feeling of being watched, their eyes shot open and they looked around and then it all became a blur.
