Dear Diary, Not much has changed...anymore. Currently sitting down, yakkos decorating the tower for Halloween. to say I'm excited would be an understatement. I AM pretty excited, oh to prank the tour guides again- hell, to even prank the lot again! get some really frightened! I love Halloween, it's one of my favourite holidays, trick or treating- costumes! Pranks of course and best of all? We won't get in trouble for any of it!
It's one of the few holidays where we get to "act our age" as yakko says.
I also just enjoy the atmosphere.
Speaking of: yakkos gotten really into candles lately. I think he's starting a collection. There's a particular candle he's fond of, it smells nice, I quiet like it too. It's a pumpkin spice and.... cinnamon apple candle- I have no idea where he got it from-
What I'm excited for the most is the Burbank fall Carnival that's in a week. We go every year! They've got games and rides! theres the haunted maze they set up! They try and make it scary but Nothing scares a warner! Much less the warner sister!
Wakko likes the bobbing for apples station the carnival sets up, I think they just enjoy the "bopping" part more than the actual apples- typical wakko.
Yakko likes the dunk tank they have, he and Max went last year and boy did Max really sink scratchy! I'll admit he's got a rather strong arm.
I personally enjoy the Ferris wheel! I like being able to see the whole city from up high. It's mostly the reason I sit on the roof of the tower.
Don't tell either of them this: the real reason I like going to the carnival is because I get to spend time with my brothers. I'll admit, we haven't been spending as MUCH time together as we used to...and it kind of makes me sad. I mean I like having my alone time. Being able to do things on my own especially!!
But can you really blame a girl for missing her brothers? Even if they are gross?
Uh Oh- yakkos calling me. Better go see what he needs.
-dot'
Dot stretched as she tucked her little journal into her hammerspace. She gave a soft yawn, letting her fangs show before she jumped off the couch.
She wandered behind yakko, who was trying to balance on the step stool. He was attempting to hang a small set of streamers. They were decorated with little bats and skeletons.
Dot stood behind him, hands crested behind her back. She watched her eldest brother carefully "Dot where-" he seemed jump at the sight of her before quickly calming down., he huffed as he held his chest "dot" she seemed to snicker.
"-what can I do for you oh eldest brother?" She beamed rather cheerfully, yakko turned to her, holding the streamer by one hand "-i need one more extra push pin- can you check the junk drawer?"
Dot gave a civil nod as she padded her way to the kitchen. She carefully pried open the kitchen junk drawer. She combed through everything; careful of anything sharp and potentially pokey. She lowered her gaze as she finally found what she was looking for.
She closed the drawer and swiftly made her way back to yakko, holding up the pushpin for him "found one!" She smiled as yakko knelt down and took it from her, he returned her cheerful smile.
Yakko stared up at his work, satisfied; he gave a nod and a human of approval before stepping off the ladder and closing it up.
"-ya know" Dot followed yakko into the kitchen "the fall carnival is coming next week!" She swayed on the balls of her heels, watching as yakko puzzled the step ladder into the kitchen closet.
Yakko perked up- turning to her "the fall carnival eh?" He scratched as his chin as he thought for a moment "that sounds like a-" before he could finish his thought- his phone rang.
"-Hold on dot- just a second okay?" He held a finger up to her as he answered "hello?" Dot watched her eldest brother wander back into the living room, it was probably max- she furrowed her brows as she took a breath, simply shrugged and padded her way to her room. Those two could talk for ages.
It was nice to see her brother happy. She saw a spark in him that Max seemed to re-kindle that she had long since thought was fizzled out from yakko over the years.
She faintly listened to her brothers voice as he continued to call the other line. She rolled her eyes and close her door.
Dot pulled her journal from her hammerspace as she climbed onto her bed.
'dear diary,
Yakko gets so distracted, it's honestly kind of funny. But I can't help but feel he's been MORE distracted lately.
I haven't seen wakko all day, we know they went to the arcade..I guess I've been feelings kinda lonely....
Oh- speaking of- gotta go-
