Work Text:
The weekend had finally begun and with that most people would be trying to lie in and take in a few more extra important moments of sleep. Charlie Emily wasn’t most people however, instead of lying in bed and taking advantage of the fact she didn’t have to go into work today on this beautiful Saturday morning, she instead stared at her bedroom ceiling thinking, thinking about what to do about a meet up with her twin brother Samual, or as she and the rest of her family affectionately called him Sammy.
Talking had never been Charlie’s strong suits but with her twin brother, conversations flew by as both of them would ramble on and on about their interests from comic books, movies and their careers with Charlie choosing to study robotics like their father, while Sammy followed their mother’s career path and focused on music with him currently being a frontman in a band that had begun rising in popularity. The twins hadn’t had any time to do one of their coffee catch ups in a while, mostly due to Sammy being out on tour a lot for the past few months but he had gotten back home a week ago and they both agreed that Saturday at 11am would be a good time for them to catch up.
However that wasn’t what Charlie was thinking about at all, she wasn’t thinking about the new issues of spider man or Batman to ramble about to her brother, no instead she was thinking about personal stuff.
Like her relationship status.
Charlie ran her teeth against each other and sighed. For the past four years Charlie had been in a relationship that she kept hidden anyway from her twin brother. Admittedly it had been eating away at her the fact that she had been keeping such a big secret from her brother but at the same time she felt like it was the only thing she could do. For one thing Charlie’s relationship wasn’t exactly normal and it was something that she feared could back fire and cause her relationship with her brother to go from a positive to a negative. There were two reasons for why Charlie felt this way for so many years but now four long years into the relationship, the brunette had a sudden urge to finally come clean to her brother and for the past week it had been a question that had become a battle in her mind, going back and forth between if she should admit what she was and who she was dating or keeping it to herself.
Now what was this big secret that Charlie had been keeping from her brother? Well for one thing, Charlie was a lesbian. She had known this for a while as instead of gossiping with her friends, Jessica and Marla about cute boys in their year, she instead found herself eyeing down cute girls instead and especially two of them in particular. That was the first part of the secret; the other was the fact that Charlie wasn’t just dating one girl instead she had been dating two girls for the past four years. It hadn’t always been easy but Charlie couldn’t lie and say she wasn’t living her best life with her two girlfriends. The many movie nights they had, the several nights where they just cuddled. It was amazing and now a part of her had gotten tired of hiding this part of her.
‘God what am I going to do?’ Charlie thought to herself, however before she could continue spiraling into insanity as she debated herself to death, she heard a small shuffle from the right side of her that pulled her back into reality. Quickly she turned around to see one of her girlfriends, Michelle Afton beginning to stir. Slowly, Michelle yawned and began stretching her arms before turning around to see Charlie softly looking at her.
“Morning, Charlotte.” Michelle whispered out, leaning in and pressing her lips against Charlie’s forehead. Charlie couldn’t help but let out a small giggle. This always happened, every morning without fail Michelle would press her lips against Charlie’s forehead and Charlie adored it. Michelle had been Charlie’s closest friend for years, she couldn’t remember a time where Michelle wasn’t a massive part of her life and perhaps that was why the two had worked so well together. They had been inseparable since birth and knew each other inside and out, they didn’t even need to say words sometimes, that’s just how well they got each other and Charlie loved it.
”Morning,El.” Charlie answered, wrapping her arms around Michelle and pulling her closer before pressing her lips against Michelle’s. A slight giggle escaped the taller brunette’s lips as she kissed back. As the two girls happily kissed, busy in their own world, they didn’t know that someone else in their bed had begun to stir until they finally spoke up.
“I never get tired of waking up to this.”
Hearing this, Charlie and Michelle turned their attention to behind Charlie where they saw their other girlfriend, Nicole Johnson, looking at them with a sense of lust in her eyes that only made Charlie smile.
If you had to ask Charlie a decade ago if she could see herself being in the same room with Nicole alone without an argument spiralling out of control let alone being in a relationship with her, Charlie would have laughed at you out of the door but yet here she was. Cut to a decade later and here she was, in a relationship with the Nicole Johnson, the Nicole that she hated for most of high school years. It wasn’t just a petty one sided beef that Charlie had with Nicole, no the black woman couldn’t stand Charlie either. The two were as polar opposites as they came, Charlie was more introverted, more quiet and yet she was kinder with others often trying to help out everyone and anyone, Nicole on the other hand was loud, boastful, blunt and back then was a massive bully. Naturally the two girls clashed and had a rivalry that everyone in the school was aware about.
They would spew out catty insults and petty shades towards each other. It was a nightmare just getting them to be civil but that all changed when they got into college. For one thing, Nicole had mellowed out of being a bully after hitting sixteen and while she was still blunt, she wasn’t cruel anymore but the two still had issues and the big one was in regards to Michelle but now that had changed for the better.
“Morning Nicky.” Michelle smiled, leaning over Charlie’s body to get closer to the darker skinned woman. Nicole happily followed suit and leaned over to press her lips against Michelle’s. The two women made out leaving Charlie with the perfect view of it all. Eventually Nicole and Michelle pulled away and without exchanging any words, lunged down and began kissing Charlie’s neck.
“Guys, stop.” Charlie moaned out, giggling a little at the attention.
“Do you really want us to stop?” Nicole purred, licked Charlie’s ear lobe causing another moan to slip out from the brunette. “Or do you want to have a nice morning workout?”
Charlie couldn’t answer. At this point she had completely forgotten about her dilemma that she had been dwelling on earlier, instead focusing more on how Michelle ran one of her hands over Charlie’s abs while the other cupped her B cup boobs while Nicole happily stroked Charlie’s thighs. The smaller brunette was melting under her girlfriends’ touch but before Charlie could agree Michelle suddenly shot her head up.
“Wait, Nicky, what time is it?” Michelle asked.
Confused at why Michelle was asking that, Nicole turned to the digital clock that was on her side and read out the time. “It’s quarter past 9, why what’s the problem?”
In an instant, Michelle shot out of the bed cursing to herself as she rocketed to her drawers and pulled out a purple bra and green panties.
“El, is everything okay?” Charlie asked again.
“Yeah.” Michelle replied, though she didn’t sound too confident. “I just got some overtime at work today and I have to be there for ten.”
Charlie felt her heart drop in disappointment. Despite not answering the question that Nicole had given her, she was enjoying the attention she was receiving and she did want to go further.
“And you didn’t tell us that beforehand?” Nicole sighed, shaking her head a little.
“First off, I only got asked about it yesterday and I agreed.” Michelle huffed. “And we were also preoccupied last night so I couldn’t really say anything then.”
“Well your tongue was put to good use last night.” Nicole mumbled under her breath causing Charlie to laugh.
“You two continue on without me.” Michelle continued as she pulled out of her work shirts. “I’ll go have a shower and cook us some breakfast before I go. Does that sound like a good deal?”
Charlie and Nicole both nodded their heads in agreement causing Michelle to smile at both of them and walk out of the room with her clothes in hand. Once Michelle was out of the room, Nicole and Charlie both looked at each with Charlie noticing a confident lust in Nicole’s eyes. With a deep sarcastic sigh, Charlie pulled Nicole’s face closer and gently pressed her lips against the darker skinned woman who happily returned the kiss. It was a few minutes until Nicole eventually pulled away.
“Did you know about the overtime stuff with Michelle?” Nicole asked, as she snuggled into Charlie’s neck still running her fingers around Charlie’s body. Charlie rolled her eyes at the question, she knew why Nicole was asking her that question. Charlie and Michelle both worked the same job in the same department at their father’s company at Fazbear’s so it made sense that Nicole thought that Charlie knew about this.
“No I didn’t.” Charlie answered truthfully. “I didn’t know that Michelle had to do anything like that, though I’m going to guess Dad asked her instead of me because he knew that me and Sam were meeting up today.”
A chuckle escaped Nicole’s lips. “Your Dad must really respect you and your brother’s friendship to allow you to not ask you for overtime.” She laughed.
“Well I would have turned it down anyway.” Charlie shrugged. “It would have been pointless to ask me to do something when he knew I would have said no as I had something already planned.”
“I see.” Nicole hummed, tapping her finger on Charlie’s thighs. “So is that why you’ve seemed so distant recently? You’ve been thinking about this day with your brother?”
Charlie didn’t say anything, instead looking at Nicole in confusion as to what she meant by seeming distant. Catching onto that fact, Nicole just chuckled again. “You’ve been lost in your own head Charlie, it doesn’t take a genius to realise that. So come on whatcha thinking about?”
There was a long pause as Charlie thought about how to word out her thoughts. Out of everyone it was Nicole who had vocalised her want for their relationship to be a secret. She had many valid reasons for that and Charlie respected them and it was for a while she shut down her thoughts about coming out for ages until now.
“I’m…thinking about coming out to Sam.” Charlie eventually croaked out. “I want to be honest with him, I want to tell him all of this and I know you want to keep it a secret but I don’t like having to keep lying to my brother.”
The silence returned as Charlie expected Nicole to immediately shut her down and tell her not to do it and have a massive argument. That’s what normally happened before the two would kiss and make up but to her surprise Nicole didn’t do anything like that instead she just shrugged.
“Sure, go ahead.”
“Wait what?” Charlie asked, completely baffled at the response.
“You heard me.” Nicole shrugged again. “Go tell him.”
“But you-“
“Yeah, I know.” Nicole interrupted rolling her eyes. “I’m the one who fought for this to be a secret but I don’t really have a reason to hide this anymore, my parents don’t really talk so I can’t disappoint them anymore so I have no reason to not hide this.”
Charlie didn’t reply, instead her jaw was dropped, completely gobsmacked at Nicole’s response. “You really mean that you’re fine with me coming out?” Charlie eventually asked.
“Yep.” Nicole answered, nodding her head for extra confirmation. “Though I think you should ask Michelle in case she has something else to say.”
Charlie hummed in agreement. Out of Nicole and Michelle, it was Michelle who had more to lose now from their relationship coming out. “I plan to.” Charlie said, softly smiling. “Thanks for telling me that you’re fine with this.”
Nicole smiled right back at her. “No problem Char.” She replied, before a mischievous twinkle in her eyes started showing. “Though before you go can we at least have a little fun?” Despite the mischievous twinkle, Charlie could hear an underlining begging in Nicole’s tone as she asked the question. Knowing that, Charlie glanced over to the clock. She knew that Michelle was still in the shower most likely and their breakfast hadn’t started cooking so there was no reason to get out of bed just yet and there was the fact Charlie had now gotten certain urges that needed to be quelled down.
“Fifteen minutes.” Charlie answered, smirking at Nicole. “You have fifteen minutes to do what you want to do.”
With a grin of her own, Nicole couldn’t help but exclaim an enthusiastic “Yes!” Before moving her body so her head was at Charlie’s private parts while Charlie’s face had a great view of Nicole’s bushy pussy.
“On the count of three we start.” Nicole exclaimed enthusiastically. “One, Two, Three!”
Those fifteen minutes whizzed by for the two lovers and despite Nicole’s begging for another round, Charlie declined and went to get ready for the day ahead of her. Instead of going to have a shower, the shorter brunette thought it would be best if she got a drink before showering. After all she was a little thirsty now and she didn’t want to disturb Michelle who was probably still showering at the moment.
Walking down the stairs and into the hallway to the kitchen, Charlie could hear something coming from the kitchen. It was a sizzling sound. Charlie quickly racked her brain trying to figure out why there was a sizzling sound in there. As she did that, she walked closer and when she got to the doorway Charlie got her answer. Despite what she thought, Michelle was not in the shower, instead she was in the kitchen cooking sausages and bacon in a big frying pan. However, that wasn’t the thing that caught Charlie’s attention. No, what really caught her attention was Michelle.
Instead of Michelle putting on her work clothes, the tallest woman in the relationship had very limited clothing on with her only having her cooking apron, panties and bra on. It was unusual for Michelle to do such a thing as normally she preferred to wear a lot of clothing and not show off her body, she was the complete opposite of Nicole in that regard but recently Michelle had been more open to showing off her body in tiny bits and pieces and Charlie certainly wasn’t complaining. Michelle’s body was beautiful. Out of all the girls in the relationship, Michelle was the most muscular and definitely had the best figure out of them with her having abs, muscles and tree trunk like thighs. It was because of Michelle that Nicole and Charlie had even started to work out.
So needless to say Charlie was gawking at her girlfriend’s body and taking everything that her girlfriend’s back had to offer.
‘Alright Charlie, stop perving on Michelle’s butt and actually get a drink.’ Charlie sternly thought to herself, shaking her head to knock some sense into her. Gaining some sense back into her, Charlie walked into the kitchen as quietly as she could, trying her hardest to not disturb Michelle with her cooking. Upon reaching the fridge, Charlie opened it up to grab the milk but to her shock Michelle softly spoke up.
“If you’re looking for your coffee it’s on the table.”
Despite how non threatening Michelle’s tone was, Charlie couldn’t help but feel her soul jump out of her skin due to shock.
“Jesus Christ El.” Charlie gasped out, causing Michelle to laugh at the reaction. “You didn’t need to startle me.”
“You’re the one who thought they were being super sneaky.” Michelle replied, looking towards Charlie’s direction with a cheeky smirk on her face.
“I didn’t want to distract you from your cooking.” Charlie shot back, walking closer to the taller brunette.
“Is that your reason or is it because you were staring at my butt and didn’t want to lose that sight?” Michelle teased.
Charlie didn’t reply as Michelle nailed her reasons perfectly. Instead, she just grabbed Michelle’s face and pulled her into a kiss which Michelle happy returned. When Michelle pulled away from the kiss, the brunette had only a bigger smile on her face.
“So it was because of my butt then?”
The playful question was replied with a playful punch on the arm from Charlie who just had to resit the urge to laugh from Michelle’s teasing. “Sure fine, it was becuase of your butt.”
“I knew it.” Michelle said, pumping her fists in the air before turning her attention back to the frying pan.
“But I have to ask, why aren’t you in your work clothes?” Charlie questioned, wrapping her arms around Michelle’s waist as she pressed her head against Michelle’s back. “This isn’t like you to dress up…so losely.”
“I didn’t want my work clothes to get any grease or egg on them.” Michelle answered.
“Michelle, we work for a robotics company, our work clothes are riddled with grease and oil.” Charlie laughed.
“Doesn’t mean getting egg on them is company appropriate.” Michelle replied, sounding super serious which only made Charlie laugh harder.
“Sure, whatever you say.”
A moment of silence followed suit, as Michelle went back to focusing on the breakfast while Charlie just snuggled into her girlfriend, lazily gazing at how Michelle rolled over the bacon and sausages before finally remembering her conversation with Nicole. As she did, Charlie felt her grip on Michelle’s waist tighten up which only caused Michelle to notice that something was up.
“Is everything alright, Charlie?” She asked, tilting her head downwards to see Charlie more clearly.
Pausing for a second, Charlie felt her stomach slowly twist into knots as she tried to quickly think of the best way to word what she wanted to ask until finally she blurted out.
“Michelle, do you…think I can come out about this?” Charlie asked out so quietly it was like a whisper. Thankfully Michelle heard her and tilted her head again a little confused at the question.
“What do you mean?”
Mentally kicking herself, Charlie took a deep breath before clarifying. “You know I’m meeting Sammy today right?” Michelle nodded causing Charlie to continue. “Well I’m thinking about coming out to him, about us and you know…my sexuality. I’ve talked to Nicole and she’s fine with it but I want to know if you’re okay with it.”
Michelle paused for at least a minute before replying. “What made you think that you needed to ask me for permission for you to do that?”
“Well…I know you wanted to keep this a secret a while ago.” Charlie answered sheepishly. “And I know you had your reasons behind it and I didn’t want to come out so suddenly and well mess up something for you.”
Another pause followed as Michelle pondered Charlie’s response. Charlie waited in anticipation as to what Michelle was going to say until finally the taller woman spoke up. “My reason for wanting to keep this a secret has been because of…”
“William.” Charlie finished. Michelle’s breath heightened a little just by Charlie saying the name of her father before returning back to normal and Charlie couldn’t blame her. William was a monster of a father to Michelle so her keeping this all a secret from him made sense however in recent years, the man who Michelle was forced to call her father had passed away a few months leaving her with this freedom to be more open about herself.
“Yeah exactly.” Michelle continued. “But he’s gone now, I’m not ashamed of showing off who I love anymore because I’m not going to have to run into arguments with him…and I’ve wanted to keep this a secret not because of my sexuality but because of you and Nicole.”
Charlie looked up, confused as to what Michelle meant which caused a giggle to escape Michelle’s lips but she quickly went serious again. “Father would hate me not because I’m a lesbian but because I was dating two of the worst girls in his eyes.” She clarified. “To him, me dating you would be awful due to that stupid ego grudge he has with Uncle Henry and me dating you would bug him to no end and then with Nicole…well you know how much of a reputation she has and with the fact she comes from a poor background only makes him hate her more.”
“Oh I see.” Charlie replied, though despite those words it was obvious that there was confusion in Charlie’s tone.
“Don’t worry it’s completely stupid.” Michelle laughed. “And since he’s passed I can be more free about you guys, it also doesn’t help the fact that my family already figured everything out a while ago before Father passed away.”
“Wait seriously?”
“Yes.” Michelle nodded. “Mum knew I was a lesbian for years and she figured out that I was dating you and Nicky like four months into our relationship. Elizabeth figured out due to when she came out to me and looked for advice she pieced together that I was one due to how I worded things.”
“Your family is weirdly good at picking up details.” Charlie hummed.
“I know.” Michelle laughed again. “But I’m fine with you coming out to Sammy and your parents, I would love for it actually.”
“Is it because lying to Sammy for you is really hard?” Charlie asked, teasing a little. Michelle didn’t answer instead she leaned down and pressed her lips against Charlie’s silencing her not that Charlie minded. “So that’s a yes then.” She continued when the kiss was done.
“If you keep at this then I’m not going to give you breakfast.” Michelle purred, causing Charlie to laugh.
“Alright, I get it but thank you really.” Charlie said with a smile.
“No problem honey.” Michelle replied with a smile as big as Charlie’s. “I just hope it goes well for you.”
“I hope so as well.” Charlie nodded. With that, Michelle turned off the frying pan with the sausages and bacon and went to go deal with the eggs all while Charlie sat down at the table and began planning out how she would word out her coming out to Sammy and as she did a part of her brain wondered what her brother was up to this morning.
‘Probably overthinking stuff and trying to be there early.’ Charlie thought to herself, giggling a little at what her twin could be doing at his house before going back to focusing on what she needed to say to him.
***********
When Sammy woke up on this peaceful Saturday morning he had only one plan. Meet up with his sister Charlie at 11am. It was a simple plan. He would get up at around nine in the morning, get showered, have breakfast and be there for around 10:45. It was a perfect plan, sure he would get there fifteen minutes early but that was fine after all in Sammy’s mind it was better to be there early than be late but of course nothing for Sammy could go as he wanted it to. That brilliant simple plan of his got ruined at the first step as instead of waking up at nine after setting an alarm, he instead woke up at half nine as the alarm didn’t go off as one of his two partners had turned it off before going to bed last night.
Despite that Sammy still had plenty of time to sort everything out so once he woke up and had to resist a part of his brain that wanted to stay in bed with his boyfriend and his girlfriend, Sammy got up and went to the bathroom to get showered. While he showered his mind did begin wondering if he should be honest with Charlie about his own dating life. His twin had no idea that he was bisexual and even dating a man or a girl and what was worse was that his two partners were some of Charlie’s closest friends. It had been like this for three years now and while Sammy was the happiest he had ever been he did feel bad for lying to his sister for three years now.
However that all changed when his boyfriend Carlton decided to join him for a shower and that was when Sammy’s morning plan got completely ruined as right now, while steaming hot water ran down his skin, the brunette was having to resist the need to blow his load right in Carlton’s mouth as the ginger sucked him off. As Sammy gritted his teeth partly in frustration, he couldn’t help but look Carlton in the eyes. Sammy could just tell that Carlton was smirking to himself, enjoying seeing his boyfriend squirm underneath his mouth and as much as Sammy would pretend to be frustrated with his ginger lover's antics, he did enjoy them deep down.
Carlton as a person was completely different to Sammy. The ginger was loud, attention seeking and as extroverted as they came, compared to Sammy’s more reserved nature. Carlton loved running his mouth and making sure everyone knew his opinion even if it was seemingly a stupid one and despite sometimes getting on Sammy’s nerves, he really did love Carlton with all his heart. So when Carlton snuck into the shower with him, Sammy understood immediately where this was going as Carlton had done the same thing in the shower multiple times and despite playing it off and acting annoyed, Sammy really did enjoy the showers he would have with Carlton and their girlfriend but today wasn’t one of those days.
“Carlton.” Sammy grunted out, digging his nails into Carlton’s soaking wet hair. “I’m going to fucking…” Sammy didn’t get to finish his sentence as he blew his load right into Carlton’s mouth. “Jesus Christ.” Sammy grumbled out, stammering a little bit while Carlton just laughed at him.
“You haven't had a shower for me for two months and now you’re struggling to stand?” Carlton asked, as he leaned closer to his boyfriend.
“Shut up Carlton.” Sammy panted before Carlton wrapped his arms around Sammy’s waist.
“Nah.” Carlton said with a mischievous smile and kissed Sammy on the lips.
“You’re really annoying you know that?” Sammy scoffed.
“But you love it.” Carlton beamed.
Sammy didn’t respond instead, he turned off the shower and went to walk out of the shower only for Carlton to grab his hand. “Where are you going honey?” He asked. “Aren’t we going to continue?”
“I’m in a bit of a rush today, Carlton.” Sammy replied. “That’s why I was trying to shower quickly before-”
“Before you had your mind blown.” The ginger beamed, clearly proud of his pun. Sammy on the other hand wasn’t amused and shook his head.
“Anyway I need to get a move on and I’m pretty sure Jessica would want a shower as well.” Sammy continued. “Also I need to cook us breakfast since you two have decided that only I’m allowed to cook for the next two weeks.”
“In our defence that’s because your cooking is really good.” Carlton quickly said. “You’re a really good cook.”
“Thanks.” Sammy said dryly, grabbing his towel and began drying himself off.
“So what are you doing today that needs you to be up and ready so early?”
“I’m going out to see Charlie.” Sammy replied. “It’s been a while since we’ve hung out and so we’re just going to grab some coffee and catch up.”
“Is that why you’ve been acting weirdly lately?” Carlton asked bluntly. The question came out of nowhere and Sammy couldn’t help but shoot his boyfriend a confused look.
“What do you mean?”
“Well, in the past day you’re been staring off into space.” Carlton explained. “Just thought I should ask if that had something to do with Charlie.”
Sammy blankly stared at his ginger boyfriend before letting out a deep sigh. “Well, I've been thinking about coming out to Charlie about my sexuality and this.”
“Are you serious?” Carlton blurted out.
“Yes I am.” Sammy responded. “Why wouldn’t I be.”
“Because…I don’t know if that’s a good idea.” Carlton said, sheepishly. Sammy didn’t respond instead he just blankly stared at his boyfriend in confusion, causing Carlton to carry on. “Look, I know Charlie is your sister and all that but I don’t want to see you getting hurt if this goes sideways.”
“You really think Charlie would do that to me?” Sammy asked. “You think that Charlie would just throw me away for being bi and liking you and Jessica?”
“I mean it’s a possibility.” Carlton weakly shrugged. “I don’t want this to backfire on you man.”
Sammy just sat in silence, thinking over what Carlton had said. Sure he had some concerns about coming out but he hadn’t ever really thought that Charlie would treat him differently. He chalked any of those thoughts as to him being paranoid but if Carlton thought that Charlie would turn her back on him then maybe…. Sammy didn’t know what to say or do, instead he just walked out of the room completely ignoring Carlton calling his name.
He carried on walking down the hallways of the house until he stumbled into the kitchen. Lost in his own mind, the brunette man opened the fridge unsure about what he was going to get out of it until he heard a feminine voice call out to him from behind.
“If you’re trying to make your tea I’ve already made it for you.”
Jumping out of his skin, Sammy turned around to see his girlfriend, Jessica Thompson, sitting at the table in her dressing gown, reading a fashion magazine while she sipped her own tea with the tea that she had made for him sitting right beside her. It took Sammy a second to figure out what to do before moving to the table and grabbing his cup of tea.
“Thanks.” He murmured to which Jessica responded with a smile and a “You’re welcome.” The couple sipped on their drinks in silence with Jessica still reading her magazine while Sammy stared at her while he sipped on his, still standing up. It didn’t take long for Jessica to pick on that.
“Are you going to sit down?” She asked, looking up from the magazine slightly.
Not expecting Jessica to talk back to him, Sammy choked a little on his drink before spluttering out. “No, I’ve got to cook breakfast in a minute.”
“That doesn’t mean you can’t sit down for a minute.” Jessica sternly said. “Come on, sit down and let yourself relax a little…” The blonde woman paused for a second as she eyed her boyfriend down for a few seconds before continuing. “Unless there's something wrong.”
“There’s nothing wrong, Jess.” Sammy quickly said, however Jessica wasn’t convinced by that.
“Sam, you’re acting like you’ve stepped into an alternate reality.” Jessica said. “What’s going on in your mind?”
“It’s really nothing.” Sammy repeated, however Jessica could read him well, she knew that something was wrong and wasn’t going to stop until Sammy would actually tell her what was in his mind.
“Samual!” She quickly replied, still as stern as ever.
“Okay fine, I’m thinking about coming out to Charlie.” Sammy spit out. “I’m thinking about telling her about my sexuality and us but I…after talking to Carlton I don’t know if I should do it.”
It took Jessica a moment to respond as she thought about what to say next until eventually she spoke up. “What made you not want to come out about this?” She asked.
Sammy squirmed a little at the question before answering. “He said that he didn’t think I should come out just in case because of the fact that it could go wrong for me and…now I’m just thinking that maybe Charlie and my parents would disown me over this whole thing.”
It was apparent in his tone, how much Sammy was concerned about this and Jessica could see that clearly. She had gone through the same worries with her own parents when she came out as bisexual long before she had gotten into a relationship with Sammy and Carlton but she also knew the type of person Charlie and Sammy’s family were in general.
“Right okay, you need to sit down real quick.” Jessica said, getting up from her seat and pushing Sammy into hers.
“Jess what are you-”
“Nope, I’m talking now.” Jessica replied, silencing her boyfriend. “You need to listen to me and you need to destress right now so you’re going to do that okay.”
“Um…okay.” Sammy weakly said, not sure how to deal with this. Thankfully Jessica did. The blonde began messaging her shorter boyfriend’s shoulders as she explained.
“Charlie and your parents aren’t going to disown you.” Jessica started off with. “I know Charlie and she was the first person I came out to with my own sexuality, she’s not going to abandon you or us over your sexuality or this relationship we have.”
“But Carlton-” Sammy said but was immediately cut off by Jessica again.
“Carlton isn’t right about everything.” Jessica laughed. “I know he seems like he’s really confident and got everything figured out but he doesn’t, he’s just worried that Charlie or your family will treat him differently but they won’t trust me.”
“So you’re saying that I should go through with it?” Sammy asked.
“I’m saying do what you think is best.” Jessica answered. “If you don’t want to come out then don’t but if you do then do it.”
“Right…”
“But I promise you, Charlie won’t be mad at you.” Jessica continued. “She’s too kind hearted for that.”
Sammy didn’t respond, instead he just let his mind wander off as he thought about what to do as he slowly began to melt under his girlfriend’s massage.
**********
It was quiet in the coffee shop. That was to be expected as it was only half ten but the quiet nature of the coffee shop bugged Charlie. She didn’t like how quiet it was as it would allow her insecurities to seep into her mind. She had arrived early because normally Sammy arrived ridiculously early and for once Charlie wanted to beat her brother to the shop but now she was regretting it.
“Where is he?” She spoke out loud, looking down at her watch before finally Sammy opened the door and saw her.
“Hey Charlie.” He said, as he walked towards her and leaned down to give her a hug which she happily accepted.
“You’re late.” She teased, playfully punching her brother on the shoulders. “You’ve been making me wait for far too long.”
“Sorry.” Sammy replied. “Got caught up at something at home.”
The twins laughed before sitting down and just silently staring at each other, unsure as to what to say before Sammy spoke up. “Um…so how have you been then?”
“I’ve been good.” Charlie answered, grabbing her coffee. “Work’s been good and everything else has been going alright. What about you?”
“Yeah it’s been good.” Sammy replied, with a shrug. “The tour was successful but I’m really tired now.”
“I can imagine.” Charlie hummed. Another silence fell over the twins as they thought of what to say and how to word it before finally Charlie spoke up. “Sam, I need to tell you something.” Charlie said, trying her best to keep her nerves in check.
“Oh okay what is it?” Her brother replied.
With a deep breath, Charlie closed her eyes and counted to three in her mind before opening her eyes again. “Sammy, I’m…a lesbian and I've been…dating two girls for the past four years.” She looked into her brother’s eyes trying to gauge his reaction but her brother just blankly stared back at her, bewildered at what she had said.
“You’re a lesbian?” Sammy spluttered out.
With a small nod from Charlie, Sammy began to laugh. At first Charlie felt her heart drop in horror before Sammy continued.
“Oh my god this is great!” Sammy eventually shouted out. “All this time I thought you were going to judge me but yet you’re like me.”
“Excuse me what?” Charlie asked, confused as to what her brother was on about.
“You’re gay.” Sammy explained. “I thought that you were going to hate me but you’re gay as well and dating two people.”
“Sammy, can you actually explain what you-” Charlie tried to say but wasn’t able to as Sammy cut her off.
“I’m bisexual.” Sammy said. “And I've also been dating two people for the past three years. I never came out about it because I thought that you would hate me for it.”
“You’re joking.” Charlie gasped. “You really thought that I would do that?”
“I didn’t know so I played it safe.” Sammy shrugged causing Charlie to laugh.
“I would ridicule you for that but I’ve done the same thing.” Charlie said. “So who are you dating then?”
“Jessica and Carlton.” Sammy replied.
“Interesting pick.” Charlie chuckled. “A little concerned with Carlton but i know you two have had a thing for a while and you and Jess have been eye fucking for a while.”
Sammy couldn’t help but laugh at that. “So who are you dating?”
“Michelle and…Nicole.” Charlie answered.
“Okay Michelle makes sense but when were you and Nicole on good terms?” Sammy asked.
“It’s a long story.” Charlie giggled.
“Well you can tell me all about it now then.” Sammy said, smiling.
“Only if you tell me how you and your partners ended up together.”
“Deal.”
So the rest of the catch up was the two twins talking about their partners and everything about them in the past four years. Needless to say the two siblings enjoyed hearing about their sibling’s life and how happy they were.
