Work Text:
Hyunjin closes his eyes, bracing for impact as his body shuttles down to the earth. He can only accept his fate once dirt explodes around him. It was one simple mistake he never knew he could make. One wrong move sent him falling to this realm forever.
His body aches. A new feeling. He knew of pain but was promised he would never have to experience it.
“Hwang Hyunjin?”
He opens his eyes, greeted by a beautiful, empty sky above him. He pans to the figure looming to his left. A hand is extended to help him up but he declines. Though it doesn’t seem to matter since the man grabs his arm and pulls him to his feet.
“Yes?” Hyunjin hears his voice properly for the first time, making him jump.
“Welcome to Earth.” The man dusts him off. “My name’s Jeongin.”
“Hello.”
“Angels are always so awkward when they fall. Come with me.”
“Who..are you?”
“Jeongin. I said that.” He begins leading Hyunjin from the field he dropped into. “I’m a demon.”
Hyunjin stops in his tracks. “W-what?”
“Oh, don’t be afraid. Sorry, sorry...be not afraid.” Jeongin laughs. “You have no link to heaven anymore. You’re closer to me than you are with your former colleagues. So, if you want to survive down here, you better follow me.”
“But..why are you on Earth?”
“I can explain that after we stop the bleeding to your head.”
Hyunjin reaches up to this aching temple, pulling away when he feels something. He stares in shock as red smears across his fingers. This is the first time he’s bled. He’s..not supposed to bleed. This is all wrong. This world is cruel. Why would his Father create pain in this way?
Where Hyunjin lived, he never knew of what went on down here. He knew of its existence but he was shielded from learning about it.
“Hyunjin.” Jeongin glares. “We need to go.”
“Right. Sorry.”
He follows Jeongin. The more they walk, the more his legs cramp. Where are they going? He has never struggled to walk before, often times using his wings to get around long distances.
His stomach twists. But before he can think more about his wings, the two approach a large metal object. Jeongin steps to it and opens what looks like a door.
“Get in. I’m too impatient for you to freak out over your new life.” Jeongin shoves him into the object.
Hyunjin looks around. Earth is very busy. He turns to Jeongin as he gets in beside him. “What..is this?”
“You mean my car? God, heaven is so behind the times. Even hell has cars now.”
“Car..”
“It’s a way to travel long distances. I live too far to walk and I’m not allowed to fly up here.”
“We’re going to your home?”
“Well, where else would you go?”
“Who..are you?” Hyunjin clears his throat when he watches Jeongin huff. “I know your name. I mean...Why did you appear in front of me?”
“Oh, you’re my mission.” Jeongin smiles but Hyunjin can see the glint of evil in the expression. “I get to teach you how to be just like me.”
“I..don’t want to be like you..” Hyunjin furrows his brows as Jeongin laughs. “What?”
“Why did you fall?”
“I looked at forbidden knowledge.”
“Mm. Okay.”
“Do you not believe me?”
“No. I don’t.”
“What reason would I have to lie?”
Jeongin takes a sharp turn, sending Hyunjin into the car door. “Sorry.”
“I can not lie.”
“Great news. Now you can.”
Hyunjin does not want to lie. He would never. That would cause something bad to happen.
Jeongin pulls up to a house. It looks a bit run down, the gate rusting and poorly painted. He turns the car off and gets out, Hyunjin hearing him groan before walking over to Hyunjin’s side. Hyunjin offers a quiet thank you when Jeongin allows him out of the vehicle.
“Next time I want you to use this handle. I’m not nice enough to open the door for you every time.” Jeongin points to the handle, slamming the door once Hyunjin gets out.
He leads Hyunjin into the house and Hyunjin is instantly overstimulated. There are so many loud noises. Music. Voices. And a sharp, quick shriek. The air is thick and filled with a choking smoke of some sort. Hyunjin has never smelled anything like it.
“Welcome to my home.” Jeongin beams before his expression drops. “Take your damn shoes off.”
Hyunjin looks to his feet, awkwardly kicking the cloth shoes into a corner. “So..if you’re really a demon..do you know Satan?”
“Of course he does.” A figure smiles as they step into the room, a drink in hand. “But on Earth, I go by Chan to blend in.”
Hyunjin gasps, backing away at the presence of the devil. But Chan just laughs at his fear, sipping at the dark liquid. “W-why are you here?”
“Eh, sometimes I get bored so I come back here and start a new life. Oh..and to meet the newest recruit.”
“Me..?”
“Yep.”
“I don’t want to work with you. You’re..”
“Evil?” Chan sighs. “I wish that lie would stop being spread..”
“It can’t be a lie.”
“Now why wouldn’t the all powerful creator, who can do whatever he wants, not be able to lie?”
“I-I don’t know.”
Jeongin sighs and grabs Hyunjin’s arm. “I need to find him room to sleep.”
“Your bed?” Chan teases.
“I would never..” Hyunjin’s cheeks redden.
“Oh, such a dirty mind for an ex angel. I never said anything about fucking you.” Jeongin laughs.
“O-oh..sorry..”
Hyunjin is led from the room but he looks back at the man he’s always been taught to fear. From first impressions, he doesn’t seem that bad. But Hyunjin knows there has to be something evil about him. He does know. He just has to wait to see it.
---
Hyunjin lies on a small cot, experiencing being uncomfortable for the first time in his life. His legs are just a bit too long so he has to bend them. It causes a dull ache. Plus Jeongin keeps the room far too cold. Hyunjin wasn’t even aware temperature could be incorrect. But here he is, shivering under three layers of blankets.
He knows he’s supposed to sleep but he can’t. All he can do is think.
What is his life about to be like? He doesn’t know how to survive outside of heaven. He doesn’t know how to live with himself knowing he’s done something wrong. He fears the unknown. And from what he’s experienced so far, he does not seem to enjoy Earth.
“Hyunjin?” He jumps to see a figure peeking at him in the shadows. “Are you still awake?”
“Yes.”
“Would you like some tea?”
Hyunjin sits up and sighs. “Does that help?”
“You really have zero knowledge of being down here, do you?”
“No. It..was forbidden to know. I only managed to read one small passage before..” He lowers his head. “Could I have that tea now?”
Jeongin sighs, turning the light on, which hurts Hyunjin’s eyes. Hyunjin crawls off the cot and slowly creeps out of the room. “Remind me to get you some slippers.”
Hyunjin looks at his bare feet then back up to Jeongin. “Does that help with the cold?”
“No. Well…yes. It’s just something people wear to walk around their homes.”
They slowly make their way down to the kitchen, Hyunjin sitting at the small dining table. He watches Jeongin grab a metal pitcher and fill it with water from an intricate water source. He expects him to start some sort of fire but Jeongin instead sets the pitcher on a small disk, flipping a switch.
“So, there is magic here?” Hyunjin furrows his brows.
Jeongin turns around. “What? You’ve never seen an electric kettle? Fuck me, heaven really is behind the times.”
“You curse a lot.”
“Yeah? It’s not like I’ll get in trouble.” He pulls out two mugs and two tea bags, filling the cups once the kettle clicks off. “Do you want to talk about why you can’t sleep?”
“It’s too cold and everything is different.”
“I’ll turn the heat up a bit.” Jeongin brings the tea over.
Hyunjin thanks him and attempts to sip at it but flinches hard. “Why does it hurt?”
“It’s….hot. Is tea not hot up there?”
“It’s usually a perfect temperature.”
Jeongin sighs. “You’re gonna have a field day over weather.”
“Whether what?”
“Weather. Uh..like how the outside feels. I’ve never attempted to explain weather.” He shakes his head. “Nevermind, I’m gonna get you an ice cube.”
“How long have you been up here?”
Jeongin walks to the freezer to grab a few cubes of ice, dropping them in their drinks. “A couple years. Chan learned of a few angels falling and wanted to make sure they were taken care of.”
Hyunjin hums. He doesn’t feel taken care of. He feels out of place and uncomfortable. The devil does not have the heart to take care of anyone. It seems Hyunjin’s life will be spent in a shabby house with what he learned is seven other people. Some of them are demons and the others are fallen angels who decided this is home. Well..and one human who decided he fit in with the group.
Unfortunately, Hyunjin wasn’t able to learn too much about them. He was too busy getting his wounds cleaned and helping set up his sleeping spot.
“This tea really is helping me. Thank you..” Hyunjin finishes it.
“It’s sleepytime tea so it’s supposed to do that.”
“I don’t understand.”
“Just..tea that makes you sleepy, I guess.” Jeongin stands and stretches. “It really is a shame that I’m not allowed to fuck you because you look so pretty when you’re tired.”
“Pardon?”
“Oh, sorry I guess I forgot to tell you. I’m an incubus. But Chan told me I can’t seduce you and I guess I respect him.”
“Maybe..I should sleep in another room..”
Jeongin crosses his arms and pouts. “I just said I can’t do anything with you.”
“Demons like to lie.”
“Oh, you’re so smart. Fine. I could do something but I still won’t.” He sets the empty mugs in the sink. “Besides, the only other room with space left is Chan’s and I doubt you want to be in there.”
“I’m good with you..”
---
Hyunjin sits on the couch, staring at the figure across from him. Chan, the literal devil, is in the same room with him. And the man isn’t ripping his flesh apart. Instead, he pokes at a rectangular, glowing slab. From what Hyunjin remembers, it’s called a phone. A sort of communication device. Of course, they all once again mocked heaven for not having such a thing.
There was nothing wrong with heaven. They all lived well with what they had. It was simple and that’s all it needed to be. Hyunjin never had any complaints. Well..other than the fact that certain knowledge was forbidden.
Hyunjin is anxious. He does not like this emotion. His skin feels like it’s vibrating and his heart pounds against his chest. It’s a reminder that he truly is no longer an angel.
“Um..sir?” Hyunjin clears his throat, looking up at Chan. He tilts his head as the man’s cheeks darken.
“You don’t have to uh..call me that.” Chan swallows hard. “But..yes, Hyunjin?”
“Can I see the human world?”
“Are you sure you’re ready to see more?”
Hyunjin bites at his bottom lip, staring in thought before slowly nodding. “Mm. I..guess I should see what I wanted to read about so badly.”
“Is there anything you’ve heard of that you want to see?”
“I haven’t learned anything.”
“If that’s the case, there’s no way you fell from learning about Earth.”
Hyunjin stares. Oh. He hadn’t thought about that. He assumed the act of going to the library was enough to send him away. But now that he thinks about it, he was perfectly allowed in the library. So..why did he fall?
“Can I see something pretty?” He lowers his head.
“Sure.” Chan smiles. “Are you ready to go now?”
“I do not have anything to wait for.”
“Perfect.” Chan grabs his wrist, pulling him to his feet. “Let’s go.”
Hyunjin expected the touch to burn. He was always told Satan could not touch without leaving a mark behind. Instead, his skin was soft. No fingerprints stain him. But he can’t help but notice a light tingle fill his stomach as he’s led to the front door.
---
“Isn’t it pretty?” Chan squints from the sun, leaning against the bridge’s railing.
Hyunjin gawks in awe at the sunset. The water. The skyline of buildings and other bridges in the distance. “It’s breathtaking.”
“This is a view people often take for granted. When you see it every day, you begin to get bored of it. But I admit, even I can see the beauty of it again because of your reaction.”
“I don’t think I could ever get tired of this..”
“I’ll have to take you to the countryside sometime. You might pass out from the view.”
“Can we go now?”
“I don’t really have the time today for a several hour drive.”
“Oh. What..are you doing?”
“Evil things. Like grocery shopping.”
Hyunjin frowns. “So you are evil.”
“No. It was a joke. I’m buying food for the house. That many guys go through a shit ton of food in a week.”
“Ah.” Hyunjin looks back out to the scenery, resting his head on the railing. “Do you know why I fell?”
“I do, yes.”
“Can you tell me?”
“No.”
“I hate this.”
Chan sighs and rests a hand on Hyunjin’s shoulder. “You’ll get used to it. I do suggest talking to Jisung and Minho if you’re struggling. They fell a few years ago but have figured almost everything out.” He rolls his eyes. “Even if Minho often forgets he can’t fly anymore.”
---
“Hyunjin!” Jisung runs up to him. “Come to the store with us.”
“Store?” Hyunjin blinks.
“A place to buy things. We want to go to the mall. Well, Minho wants to buy a specific pudding and some more cologne but I want some new clothes.”
“I still don’t understand but I do want to see more of Earth.”
“Perfect.” He turns around. “Minho! Get your pretty butt down here!”
Hyunjin flinches from his yells but walks to the front door to put his shoes on. Shoes are something he still has to get used to having, his old shoes being cloth that wrapped around his feet for decency. Chan bought him a pair when he first got here, using a tool to measure his feet. In heaven, he never needed to protect his feet. They were never dirty and the ground didn’t harm him. But here, the ground is a bit more unstable. He doesn’t understand why it was made in such an inconsistent way.
Minho comes downstairs and slips his own shoes on, holding a metal thing in his hand. “Alright, let’s go.”
Hyunjin follows the two outside. He’s led to Minho’s car, climbing into the backseat. It’s a bit cramped at first but thankfully Jisung moves his seat up to give Hyunjin’s legs more room. He nearly forgets to put his seatbelt on but his arm touches the hot metal, making him flinch in pain.
“So, why’d you fall again?” Jisung turns and asks.
“I..don’t know. I thought it was for trying to learn forbidden knowledge but apparently that is false.” Hyunjin begins to fidget. “You two?”
“We fell in love.” He smiles over at Minho. “We didn’t even know it was possible. We were a bit distraught when we fell..well, I was. Minho didn’t seem to mind. But now that we can really be ourselves down here, we don’t regret it. At least..I hope.” He pokes Minho’s side.
“Not while I’m driving.” Minho replies. But he turns when he reaches a red light. “I don’t regret it.”
“Yay. That would be awkward otherwise.” Jisung giggles.
“You left heaven for love?” Hyunjin blinks. “But I’ve seen others love without falling. Why were you different?”
Jisung’s expression softens and he sighs. “Because it was the wrong love.”
“I don’t understand.”
“We’re gay.” Minho replies, as if it’s obvious. “That’s not allowed.”
“Oh.”
He didn’t know that was forbidden.
---
Hyunjin stares at the large rectangle in the living room, which he heard was called a TV. He attempted to understand what he was told about it but he just accepts that it is in fact magic. Jisung and Minho sit on either side of him. The human named Seungmin sits on the floor in front of Minho.
“Hyunjin, come to the bedroom, please.” Jeongin walks in.
“Oooh, have fuuuun.” Jisung and Minho tease Hyunjin.
But he just furrows his brows. “What do you mean?”
“See for yourself.” Minho smacks his ass.
“That..was rude.”
“Hyunjin. Now.” Jeongin snaps his fingers.
He mumbles an apology before rushing over to Jeongin, following him up the stairs. What does Jeongin need? Why is this going to be fun? What fun can be had in a bedroom? This is a place of rest.
Jeongin slowly steps him over to the bed, sitting him down. “Do you remember what I said I was?”
“A sex demon.”
“Correct.” Jeongin sits beside him. “And do you remember how I said you’ll be just like me?”
“Unfortunately.”
“Nothing unfortunate about desire.” He rests a hand on his thigh. “Don’t worry, I’m not going to do anything you don’t want. But by the end of the night, you will be a changed man.”
“I don’t want this.”
“Are you sure?”
“I..” Hyunjin swallows hard, glancing to Jeongin’s lips. “I shouldn’t want it.”
“You have no reason to fight it, Hyunjin.” His hand slips deeper and Hyunjin’s breathing picks up. “Everyone has desires. And sometimes, it’s this.”
“I’m allowed to feel it?”
“Of course.”
Hyunjin cautiously reaches for Jeongin’s hand, slowly moving it up. Jeongin slides his palm over his zipper. And Hyunjin gasps, grabbing his wrist.
“Did it feel good?” Jeongin asks, free hand trailing up Hyunjin’s back.
“Y-yes. It’s just..intense.”
“Oh, you poor thing. So sensitive.”
Hyunjin allows Jeongin to press against him once again, entire body shivering with something he’s never felt before. But he doesn’t stop Jeongin this time. He closes his eyes, chest rising and falling heavily. Jeongin shifts, putting more pressure against him.
He jumps as he feels lips press on his own but he doesn’t pull away. It feels amazing. He desperately wants more. He doesn’t know what more is but he hopes it’s given to him.
Jeongin softly pushes his chest, moving him to lie against the pillow. He crawls on top of Hyunjin, grabbing his hands to rest them on his thighs. A spark of electricity runs through Hyunjin when Jeongin grinds against him.
“Ah- d-don’t stop.” Hyunjin claws at Jeongin’s legs.
He lets out sharp pants as Jeongin continues to rub on him. Stars form behind his eyelids and his cheeks prickle. He doesn’t understand what’s happening but he loves the feeling. His stomach tenses and his body shakes. He feels something leak from under his pants.
“W-what just happened?” Hyunjin finally opens his eyes, flinching slightly from the light.
“Aw, was that your very first orgasm?” Jeongin smirks, leaning down to press their lips together for just a moment. “I’m honored.”
“Can we do that again?” Hyunjin catches his breath. “O-or more..”
“I want to fuck you more than anything but Chan requested you to go to the countryside with him today.”
Hyunjin sits up. “Wait, he’s taking me to see it?”
“I suppose so.” Jeongin caresses his cheek. “But I’ll be here when you get back to teach you my favorite position.”
---
“My legs hurt.” Hyunjin whines, having sat in the same position for several hours.
“We’re almost there.” Chan assures him. “Five minutes, okay?”
Hyunjin sighs and sits back, attempting to shift into a more comfortable position. At least the scenery has been nice. It’s just been difficult to focus on it because of the cramping. He still does not like that he experiences discomfort. No one should feel pain of any kind.
He looks up as Chan pulls into a parking lot for a large building. From what he remembers, this is called a hotel. A place to sleep when you are away from home. It seems like a very good idea to him. But Chan complained about the cost. Hyunjin doesn’t understand why something would cause financial distress.
“Alright, let’s check into the room first and get some food before we go out.” Chan gets out of the car and stretches, grabbing two small bags from the backseat.
Hyunjin follows him into the hotel, standing behind him as he checks in and gets their keys. He continues behind Chan the entire trip up to their room. His eyes glisten in awe as Chan holds the plastic card to the door to open it. That must be magic. He can not accept a different explanation.
They walk inside to see a miniature version of Jeongin’s kitchen and two beds. There is another room that is similar to Jeongin’s bathroom. It’s cute. Like a tiny house.
“Sir?” Hyunjin clears his throat.
Chan turns around, his cheeks dusting with pink. “Yes, Hyunjin?”
“Jeongin taught me something and I was wondering if I could show you.” He steps closer. “It felt really good and I think you might enjoy it.”
Chan swallows thickly but smiles softly. “Of course.”
“Sit down.” He clears his throat. “Please.”
Chan does as he’s told and Hyunjin feels anxious. He doesn’t want Chan to be upset with him if he doesn’t like this. But he thinks Chan may like to relax. He bets the devil doesn’t relax often. This could help him be less evil.
Hyunjin sits beside Chan and rests his hand on his thigh. Chan watches him carefully as he slowly moves his hand higher and higher. A spark of pride fills Hyunjin as Chan lets out a quiet gasp when he reaches his zipper.
He puts more pressure against him and Chan shivers. “Does it feel good?”
“It does.” Chan takes deep breaths. “But I know how you can make it feel even better.”
“Please show me.”
Chan reaches for the button and zipper of his pants. Hyunjin stares as he exposes himself. He allows Chan to take his hand, moving it to wrap around his cock. Chan closes his eyes as he squeezes Hyunjin’s grip. He moves Hyunjin’s wrist up and down, a soft noise escaping his throat.
“That’s it. Keep going.” Chan breaths, wrapping his hand in Hyunjin’s hair and pulling him close.
Their lips connect. Hyunjin was about to show this part to Chan as well. He honestly likes this part the most. It feels the most intimate. But he admits, it feels nicer with Chan than it did with Jeongin.
He continues to move his hand, Chan’s body shaking. Their lips don’t part, even as Chan claws at Hyunjin’s shirt. Chan holds Hyunjin in place, more noises vibrating out of him as Hyunjin pleasures him. Though Hyunjin isn’t being touched, he finds a lot of enjoyment in this.
Chan’s breathing picks up and Hyunjin can feel him tense under his grasp. His body twitches, chest bucking when something warm hits Hyunjin’s fist. Chan laughs and pulls Hyunjin’s hand away to keep him from overstimulating him.
“Was that nice?” Hyunjin asks.
“Very.” Chan fixes himself. “Feel free to show me everything you learn.”
“Yes, sir.”
“A-and keep calling me sir. I like that.”
Hyunjin smiles. “Absolutely, sir.”
“Okay, let’s order food before I lose my composure.”
-
“Chan?” Hyunjin stares at the sky, lying on his back in a small field.
“Yes, Hyunjin?”
“Did I fall because of forbidden love?”
Chan sits up and sighs. “Do you remember what happened?”
“I..think..” He rolls over to face Chan. “It’s still a bit hazy but..when Jisung told me how he fell, I felt it deep in my heart. As if I fully understood it. I just want to know the truth.”
“When you met the angels, did any of them look familiar?”
Hyunjin tries his best to think. He know he’s never met Minho or Jisung. The only other angel is Changbin. “Oh.”
“You can do it.”
“I..I don’t even feel anything toward him down here.” His eyes water, all of his memories flooding back. “I feel so bad...I loved him but..now, I barely even recognize him.”
“Don’t feel bad. Not everyone remembers their loved ones from heaven. Minho and Jisung’s love was strong enough for them to stay bonded.”
“It’s not fair. I don’t understand..”
“No one understands, really. I wish I could explain it to you. Everyone asks questions but not everyone gets answers. Changbin remembered nothing from heaven at all, while Minho and Jisung remembered everything.”
“I wish I didn’t have the memories.”
“I can get rid of them for you.”
Hyunjin sits up and moves closer to Chan. “Please..” He grabs Chan’s arm. “I-I don’t want to remember.”
Chan caresses his cheek and leans closer. Hyunjin stares, his lips gently thumbed apart. A golden line snakes past them before disappearing into the wind. He shivers, eyes flickering as Chan pulls him into his chest. His vision blurs and he drifts into a peaceful sleep for just a moment.
Hyunjin opens his eyes, still in Chan’s arms. He looks around. At first, he assumes the memory wipe failed because he remembers he’s a fallen angel. But when he tries to think about any of his past life, no images come to him. It’s nice. He feels free.
“Thank you.” Hyunjin whispers.
“If you want them back, let me know.” Chan pets the side of his head.
Hyunjin stares out at the sunset, a wash of peace rushing over him. He could stay like this forever. It’s a shame he knows they will have to go home. He’s had his fun with the devil but tomorrow, Chan will go back to doing his job of..whatever Satan does.
---
Hyunjin pouts as he sits on the couch. He misses the countryside. Being stuck inside this cramped house feels like torture when he knows there is so much more of Earth to explore. He has to experience another new emotion called boredom. This one is odd. It seems easy to fix yet he doesn’t know what to do. He isn’t allowed to leave the house without someone else until he fully grasps this realm.
He looks up as Jeongin walks into the room, sitting next to him. Jeongin plays on his phone but Hyunjin squirms, waiting for him to say they want to do something together. He doesn’t know what they would do but there has to be something.
“Oh, it’s the last day for that art exhibit I wanted to go to.” Jeongin says casually. “Would you like to go with me?”
“Yes.” Hyunjin instantly accepts the offer. He doesn’t know what an art exhibit is but it’s something new. “Please.”
“Let me ask Chan for some money.” He stands and walks out of the room.
Hyunjin is so happy. He gets to go do something. He gets to experience more of the world. It almost feels like Jeongin read his mind. Or maybe it was obvious that Hyunjin desperately wants to do literally anything. It’s nice that all of them are willing to help Hyunjin see Earth. Minho and Jisung have taken him to the mall several times. Changbin took him to dinner. Felix finds him books to read. Even Seungmin brings him little gifts from his job.
Jeongin walks back into the room, holding what Hyunjin now knows as money in his hand. “He gave me extra for the gift shop.”
“How nice of him.” Hyunjin blinks. That’s still odd to him.
“Let’s go. I finally want to be the one to see you amazed by something.”
Hyunjin stands and puts his shoes on, following Jeongin to his car. The drive is fairly quiet, Hyunjin a bit anxious as they make their way through the city. So many other cars are very close to them, many not moving. This is what it’s been like to go to the mall as well. Minho called it traffic. Hyunjin doesn’t like traffic. Apparently, neither to humans.
But Jeongin pulls into a building with many parked cars, only finding a spot on the top floor. They get out and Jeongin leads him over to a different building. He goes up to a counter and asks for two tickets for the exhibit. Apparently, they are lucky to get in because it’s almost sold out. Hyunjin doesn’t know what that means but he knows they are able to see the art.
There are many people inside but Hyunjin doesn’t pay attention to any of them. The walls are decorated with beautiful paintings from an artist Hyunjin would love to meet. Everything is so vibrant but it makes Hyunjin feel sad for some reason.
He steps over to a small note next to one of the pieces and his heart falls. The artist recently passed away. This exhibit must be to honor them. Hyunjin hopes they were able to get into heaven.
Several people gather around the art Hyunjin is looking at, using their phones to take photos. A child poses in front of the frame, smiling. It warms Hyunjin. The joy of youth, unaware that this art was made by something who can’t hold a paintbrush ever again in this realm.
Jeongin pulls Hyunjin back a he steps over to a different painting. “Careful. Don’t go past the tape.”
Hyunjin looks at his feet, said tape just under his shoe. “Oh. Why?”
A security guard walks over but doesn’t say anything as Jeongin readjusts Hyunjin’s stance.
“You can’t touch anything. If you get too close, alarms will go off and we’d probably get kicked out.” Jeongin moves him to the next art piece.
“That’s sad. I would love to feel the texture of the paint.”
Jeongin smiles and tilts his head. “Why don’t we buy you an art kit instead?”
Hyunjin’s eyes shimmer at that suggestion. “Yes. I would really love that.”
---
“Hey.”
Hyunjin looks up from his sketchbook, Jeongin standing in front of him. “Hello.”
“Enjoying it?”
“Yes! It’s perfect. Thank you so much.”
“Of course.” Jeongin sits beside him and rests his hand on his thigh. “I was wondering if you wanted to explore more of your desires.”
Hyunjin sets the sketchbook to the side and smiles. “Yes. I would.”
“Is there anything specific?” Jeongin leans closer, burying in Hyunjin’s neck and pressing his lips against his skin.
“I don’t know. But I want to feel that pleasure again.”
Jeongin tugs Hyunjin’s shirt off over his head and tells him to lie down. He does so, staring up as Jeongin begins shedding his clothes. Hyunjin doesn’t know if he’s ever seen another man naked. But he does enjoy the sight. It makes him wonder what Chan’s body looks like, with such a different body type.
He holds his breath as Jeongin crawls back onto the bed. Jeongin reaches for his waistband, tugging the fabric off his hips and down his legs. Hyunjin trembles from anticipation, unsure what Jeongin is planning to do next.
Jeongin reaches into his bedside table, grabbing a plastic bottle. Hyunjin doesn’t know what it is but he gasps as the cold liquid is poured over his cock. His stomach tenses when Jeongin rubs the liquid around the shaft. He watches Jeongin crawl onto his lap, vision turning starry when he lines himself up and sinks onto his cock.
Hyunjin gasps, gripping Jeongin’s thighs. “O-oh god.”
“Does it feel good?” Jeongin sits perfectly in his lap.
“Yes.”
Hyunjin closes his eyes and his head digs into the pillow as Jeongin begins moving his hips. He reaches to hold Jeongin by his waist, his own hips rocking automatically to keep feeling the pleasure. Desperate pants escape his throat. Jeongin knows exactly how to make him feel good.
This is something he never knew he’d want. But now that he’s doing this, he never wants to do anything else.
His body trembles, sweat beginning to bead on his skin. Moans echo in his ears from Jeongin. He likes those sounds. They mean things are good. He wants to hear more. Jeongin grabs one of his hands, moving it to his cock. Hyunjin remembers what to do thanks to Chan. And once he wraps it around him, Jeongin clenches around him hard enough to make him whimper.
“Jeongin. I’m..” Hyunjin gasps when Jeongin grinds hard against him. “Please.”
Jeongin leans down, linking their lips together. Hyunjin’s cheeks prickle and he tenses before the pressure releases. He bucks and trembles as Jeongin speeds his pace, slamming down harder until Hyunjin’s fist is painted white.
The movements stop and Hyunjin heaves for air. Another gasp escapes him when Jeongin dismounts him. He stares at the ceiling, a rush of emotion flooding him. He doesn’t understand why but tears begin to collect at his lashes. But they fall when he tries to take a deep breath.
“Oh baby, come here.” Jeongin pulls him into his arms.
“Why am I crying?” Hyunjin buries deep in his chest.
“It’s okay, don’t worry. This is normal for your first time. Did it feel good?”
“Yes.” He sniffles, Jeongin drying his tears. “I loved it.”
“Good. We’re getting closer to you fully finding your desire.”
---
Hyunjin walks into the living room, the rest of his new roommates gathered around. That thick, choking smoke fills the air again. Felix sits against Chan’s lap, a white stick in his hand that seems to be the source of the smell. Hyunjin feels something spark in his chest at the image of someone being so close to Chan.
He doesn’t know what it is. He doesn’t even know why. But he thought Chan was being so nice to him for a reason.
“Hyunjin!” Felix springs up, setting the stick on some sort of glass dish. “I was hoping you’d join us.”
“Oh..why?” He tries to push the feeling away. It isn’t something he likes to feel.
“Seungmin just got home with the drinks.”
“Felix, I don’t think he’s ready to drink, yet.” Chan rests his hand on the man’s shoulder.
Hyunjin tilts his head. “I’ve had drinks. Jeongin makes me tea every night.”
“Not that kind of drink.” Jeongin smiles, pouring a dark liquid into a cup before adding an even darker liquid after. He stands and holds the cup out to Hyunjin. “This is called rum and coke. Would you like to try it?”
“Is this a human thing or a demon thing?” Hyunjin looks around the room.
“Human thing, for sure.” Seungmin nods. “I say try it.”
Hyunjin grabs the cup and glances over to Chan, the man sighing. He looks at the liquid, coughing when he smells it. Everyone watches him closely as he brings the cup to his lip. The taste is..interesting. He doesn’t hate it but it’s different. Bitter and sweet at the same time. He takes another sip, the liquid feeling warm on the way down. Yeah. He likes this.
“You can keep that one.” Jeongin smiles. “You’re going to feel different the more you drink so go slow.”
Hyunjin nods, looking for a place to sit. Felix gets up and offers his spot. And that odd feeling from before slowly eases. Chan pats the couch and Hyunjin sits. He smiles when Chan wraps an arm around his shoulder.
“I’ll make sure you don’t get too drunk.” Chan says, glaring at Jeongin.
“Is this something bad?” Hyunjin begins to worry.
“No, no. Well, it’s..something you want to consume in moderation. That cup should be enough for you. Don’t pay attention to Jeongin and Felix, they drink socially. Alcohol does nothing to them.”
“Okay.”
After an hour, Hyunjin feels like a completely different person. His body is numb and he struggles to pay attention to the multiple conversations happening in the room. He’s watched Seungmin drink several green bottles, the glass collecting on the coffee table. Minho and Jisung drank more from metal cans. Chan has hit the dark liquid hard. Felix and Jeongin have consumed a separate bottle of crystal clear liquid. Changbin has only had two drinks made from that clear liquid as well.
Hyunjin looks over at Chan and smiles. “I think I like this.”
“Yeah?” Chan pets his head and he curls into the touch.
“Can I have more?”
“One more but that’s it for tonight.”
“Yes, sir.”
Chan clears his throat, grabbing Hyunjin’s empty cup. Hyunjin giggles at flustering the devil with a simple word. Though his memories of heaven are gone, he still never would have expected the devil to like an angel in any way. It makes Hyunjin excited. He wonders what else flusters Chan.
He continues to drink, listening to his only friends talk together. This is peaceful. He likes this. Maybe this life isn’t so bad anymore.
But once the second cup is empty, he can barely keep his eyes open. He slumps into Chan’s shoulder, mindlessly playing with a coin that was on the table. It’s impossible to concentrate on anything.
“You tired?” Chan looks down at him.
Hyunjin whines, nuzzling more into Chan. “Don’t wanna move.”
“Come on. I’ll carry you.” He’s lifted into Chan’s arms and the rest of the guys begin to tease him.
“Can I sleep in your bed?”
“Sure.”
He closes his eyes and allows Chan to carry him upstairs. His body is softly laid on the bed and he welcomes the pillow. Chan places the blanket over him and steps away. Hyunjin pouts and rolls onto his back.
“Are you leaving?” Hyunjin reaches for him.
“I have to make sure the dumbasses downstairs don’t fuck themselves up.” Chan chuckles. “But don’t worry, I’ll be in soon.”
“Thank you. You’re right.”
“About what?”
“You’re not evil. Actually, I think you’re quite nice.” He smiles. “Sir.”
Chan lets out a low breath before turning the light off. “Alright, maybe I can go to bed now.”
---
Hyunjin wakes up with a terrible ache in his head, his stomach swirling oddly. He doesn’t like this. But he feels a spark of warmth in his chest when he turns to see Chan sleeping peacefully beside him.
Chan stirs awake once Hyunjin sits up. “Morning.”
“I think I’m ill.” Hyunjin frowns.
“No dear, you’re hungover.”
“Dear?” His eyes glimmer at the word. “Wait..what’s hungover?”
“When you drink alcohol, your body feels bad the next day. But don’t worry, I’m going to make you some breakfast and get you some medicine to fix you right up.”
“You can’t do some magic to make it go away?”
Chan laughs. “I can. Would you prefer the human experience or the instant relief?”
“I would assume the answer is obvious.” Hyunjin blinks, wincing at his headache.
The pain and nausea fade away as soon as Chan snaps his fingers. It’s odd how easily the devil is willing to ease ailments when his creator doesn’t. Perhaps he was supposed to suffer through it. Should he ask to get it back? He should experience what humans feel if he’s down here forever.
“Are you okay?” Chan asks, smoothing Hyunjin’s hair.
“Is it bad to want the instant relief?”
“Of course not. Seungmin will come whining to me soon for the same thing.”
“And will you give it to him?”
“Absolutely. I’m not that cruel. He hasn’t annoyed me for awhile so I’ll be nice to him.”
“You confuse me.”
Chan tilts his head. “How so?”
“I know you have to be evil in some ways.”
“I have to be cruel sometimes but the people who feel my wrath deserve it.”
Hyunjin nods. He thinks he understands. From what he’s seen, Chan is incredibly nice to him and the others. Part of him wants to see him be cruel. Just to experience it up close.
The two get out of bed and make their way downstairs. Hyunjin is a bit amused by Changbin and Seungmin sleeping on the floor of the kitchen. Chan steps over them and makes his way to the fridge while Hyunjin awkwardly shuffles to the small table.
He giggles as the two wake up from the noise, both of them instantly begging Chan to quell their hangovers. Soon after the kitchen fills with lovely food smells, the others roll in. Jisung and Minho whine about their heads but Chan ends their misery with a snap.
Hyunjin loves that. Those who can feel pain are given the opportunity to cease it just by trusting Chan to help them.
Chan serves Hyunjin first. Hyunjin feels that warmth in his chest again. But he’s uneasy when Felix sits next to him.
“I’m sorry I slept in bed with Chan last night..” Hyunjin lowers his head.
“Why are you sorry?” Felix furrows his brows.
“Aren’t you two..together?”
Chan snorts and sits to Hyunjin’s left. “No.”
“Sweetheart, I’m an incubus. I’ve slept with everyone in this house.” Felix smiles. “Can’t wait for you to be ready for me.”
“Ah.” Hyunjin feels his face flush. “Maybe sometime…”
“Oh, Hyunjin, that reminds me.” Jeongin plops down at the last chair. “If you ever have sex with a human, there are some extra steps you should take before getting into it like we did. I don’t need any prep but I’m a special case.”
“I would love to learn more about it.”
“Good.”
---
Chan walks into the living room, his arms crossed as he approaches Hyunjin. The house is empty so the silence between them is deafening. Hyunjin wonders if he did something wrong the longer Chan stares.
“Y-yes?” Hyunjin feels himself shrink into himself.
“So, you had sex with Jeongin?” Chan lifts a brow.
“I did, yes.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I wasn’t aware I needed to tell you.”
“Was it nice?”
“Yes, sir. I would love to experience it from his position soon.”
“Follow me, then.”
Hyunjin pushes to his feet, walking behind Chan as he’s led upstairs. He is taken to Chan’s bedroom, the door slammed shut. He gasps but Chan instantly connects their lips in a hard kiss. His stomach flutters again, wanting Chan to give him everything.
Chan rips at his clothes, the fabric quickly disposed of. Hyunjin expects to be taken to the bed immediately. That’s what Jeognin did before. But he’s told to stay where he is while Chan steps away.
He watches Chan walk to a closet, digging for something inside. His curiosity grows as Chan pulls out a box.
“Come here.” Chan commands and Hyunjin is in front of him in an instant.
He tilts his head when Chan pulls out several objects.
“I’m going to put this over your eyes.” Chan holds up a long cloth. “You’ll be able to see through it. Is that okay?”
“Yes, sir. Do what you want to me.”
Chan sets the box down and steps behind Hyunjin. The cloth is placed over his eyes, darkening his vision slightly. His body is finally tugged to the bed but he isn’t told to lie down. Instead, he sees Chan begin to shed his own clothes. Hyunjin wishes he could see it better. But he’ll allow Chan to do what he wants to him.
He watches Chan lie on the bed, another slick cloth in his hands. He’s told to come over and he instantly crawls on top of Chan. Their bodies touch in an extremely pleasurable way.
“Put your wrists together.” Chan tells him.
Hyunjin does as he’s told, feeling the fabric bind him. His heart pounds against his chest, his body craving whatever comes next. Chan tugs at the bindings and Hyunjin leans forward. Their lips connect for just a moment, a whimper leaving Hyunjin when he’s pushed back up.
“Don’t worry. You’ll get more.” Chan rubs his thigh. “Are you okay?”
“Yes, sir.”
He closes his eyes as Chan reaches for a bottle similar to what Jeongin used before. But instead of it being put on him, Chan slicks himself up. His arm is grabbed and he’s pulled forward again, Chan lifting his hips. He feels Chan press against him.
His head rolls back as Chan lowers him. The stretch feels nice, sending a shiver through his entire body. He’s tugged forward until Chan can reach his throat. His pulse spikes but Chan doesn’t squeeze, just holds him as their lips meet. This time, the kiss isn’t chaste. It’s heavy and everything Hyunjin has ever wanted. He never wants to stop.
A gentle moan creeps up his throat as Chan moves his hips up. Hyunjin’s thighs grip around Chan, his body tightening from the pleasure. Chan pushes him back up but before he can complain, he gasps when Chan’s cock rubs against a specific spot. His back arches to keep him in the same position as long as possible, his own hips rocking into it.
Chan lets go of the binding to grip Hyunjin’s hips, speeding his pace slightly. Hyunjin pants, his skin beginning to slick with sweat. He feels pressure building below his stomach but he wants to push the inevitable away for as long as possible.
A loud moan bounces off the wall when Chan snaps his hips faster against him. He whimpers, pride sparking in his chest when Chan begins to mirror his noises.
It sets in what’s happening. Hyunjin is having sex with the devil. And he never wants it to stop.
“Fuck.” The first curse Hyunjin has ever said slips past his lips.
“I’m gonna cum, baby.” Chan breaths. “You’re being so good for me.”
The praise is what finally spills Hyunjin over the edge. A strong orgasm ripples through him and his vision turns dark. Wind rushes around him and for a moment, he wonders if he’s being sent straight to hell for doing something so bad.
Chan’s movements stop and Hyunjin trembles above him. The cloth is carefully peeled from his eyes and he flinches from the harsh light. But he takes deep breaths, his body feeling extra heavy. It’s not until his vision clears that he notices the shadow casting over both of them.
His cheeks prickle when he turns, seeing a pair of black wings affixed to his shoulder blades. Chan unties his wrists and he collapses into Chan’s chest.
“W-what’s happening?” Hyunjin trembles.
“You’ve fulfilled your desire.” Chan noses his up for a kiss. “Mission accomplished.”
“Does this mean we can’t do this anymore?”
“Oh, no. You’re mine now.”
Hyunjin smiles. “Yes, sir.”
“You know, I think I could go for another round.”
