Chapter Text
Finn’s tail lashed uncomfortably behind him as the positive pregnancy test laid before him on the bathroom sink. He felt like he couldn’t breathe. He couldn’t believe that the suspicions from the morning sickness were confirmed to be true.
The young fishbowl fidgeted with his webbed hands as his webbed foot tapped on the floor repeatedly. All Finn did was just stare at the pregnancy test. He didn’t want to believe it. Maybe it was just false. Yeah, maybe.
The fish gills on the side of his drooped down slowly. He felt tears prick at the corner of his eyes. He lifted one arm to wipe them off but they just kept coming. Before he knew it, Finn was full on crying. He struggled getting the tears to stop flowing, but no matter what he did, no matter how many times he wiped them away, they still kept streaming down his face.
Finn’s legs buckled beneath him and he collapsed onto the floor, hugging himself with his head behind his knees. He really didn’t want to believe the fact that he was pregnant, but the evidence was right there in front of him…and growing inside of him.
The fishbowl lifted his head and wiped his face of tears and snot. It was kind of gross seeing the fluids on his favorite pink sweater but whatever. Finn sighed shakily and lifted himself up. He grabbed the pregnancy test and glanced at his reflection in the mirror.
Finn looked like a mess, all roughed up and exhausted. There were dark eye bags under eyes. His vision shifted to the large crack that wrapped around his neck. Finn reached up to touch the crack but winced when he barely did.
The fishbowl dropped his arm and stared at the pregnancy test in his hand again.
How was he going to react to this…
There was a loud knock on the bathroom door that startled Finn, making him tense up. He suddenly remembered whose bathroom he was in.
“Finn! Are you finished up in there?”
Sprout’s.
Finn turned around to face the door. He curled his tail around his legs to try and comfort himself but his hands started to shake. The fishbowl exhaled and opened the door, his heart almost dropping even though he knew exactly who was behind the door.
“Sprout…”
The strawberry was tapping his foot on the wooden floors with his arms crossed, his leaf tail swaying behind him. Sprout looked around in the bathroom before he straightened up his posture.
“Well? What are the results?”
Finn almost forgot about that…for some reason. Anyway, the fishbowl’s looked down at the wooden floors, unable to look at Sprout in the eyes. He lifted his hand and gave the pregnancy test to Sprout. Sprout snatched it from him and examined the white object for a few good seconds before his eyes widened.
Two pale pink lines.
Positive.
Finn’s webbed hands pulled onto the bottom of his pink sweater. Tears started to form in his eyes again but he blinked them away. Sprout double checked the pregnancy test before he handed it back to the younger toon.
The two were silent. Nobody had anything to say. Sprout shut his eyes and messaged temples before Finn decided he wanted to say something.
“Sprout…can we-“
“We’re not aborting it.”
Finn’s heart dropped. He lifted his to face the toon towering over him. Sprout looked serious. The fishbowl’s webbed hands started to shake again. “Wh-what? What do you mean-“
“Finn. We don’t have the resources for a proper one, and the only method available might possibly kill you. You don’t want to die, do you?”
The fishbowl looked down at the floor again. Sprout was right, he didn’t want to die. But he definitely did not want to carry this baby. Especially the baby of his rapist. Sprout seemed to notice his distress. He knelt down to Finn’s level and hugged him, which of course, made the younger toon tense up. Again.
“Hey,” Sprout said, breaking away from the hug and held Finn by his face. “You should at least be happy. You’re going to be the mother to the child of a Main! Does anyone else get that opportunity?”
Finn grimaced at the name, the end of his tail thumping on the mosaic bathroom floor. He hated whenever Sprout referred to him as a girl, or any toon for that matter. But from Sprout himself made it feel worse in a way.
The fishbowl suddenly narrowed his eyes. “Wait, aren’t Tisha and Astro-“
Sprout’s eyebrows knitted and shot Finn a glare that made him immediately shut up.
“Sorry…”
Sprout continued to glare at him. It made Finn more uncomfortable than he already was. The strawberry finally go of Finn and stood up. “We don’t want the others finding out now though, so we? Or else they’ll probably think you’re a slut since you got yourself knocked up.”
“Don’t call me that.”
The strawberry comically shrugged and walked out of the bathroom. Finn stood there as his tail began to uncurl from his legs. He felt more tears beginning to fall down his face but his sweater was soaked up with so much already so he let them fall this time again.
“Cod, what am I gonna to do…” Finn muttered to himself.

No matter where Finn went, Sprout was always going to be there. He was like a blood-sucking leech that wouldn’t leave Finn alone. Every run that Finn was assigned to, somehow Sprout would be there but never even acknowledge him.
Or he probably did. Finn could always feel Sprout’s gaze onto him. It made him feel sick. Yeah, he definitely did acknowledge Finn.
Anyway, the fishbowl was about to complete a machine when he heard a snarl behind him. He turned around to see twisted Poppy running towards him. Finn almost tripped over himself backing away but then he heard a loud bark! Which turned twisted Poppy’s attention away from Finn to Pebble.
Finn exhaled and maintained his composure. He was on two hearts. He wasn’t about to get to one, especially since the team had no luck of finding a bandage or health kit and had to rely on Sprout’s cupcakes.
The fishbowl walked back to the machine and finished it. A ding was heard and the elevator opened. Finn made his way to the elevator (which was pretty close to the last machine) and went inside, leaning against the wall. Soon Vee, Toodles, Sprout, Brightney, Rodger, Teagan, and finally Pebble entered the elevator, shutting right behind the grey dog’s tail. The bottom hatch to the elevator opened and Dandy pulled up with his shop. Finally, he had found bandages.
Once everyone bought their bandages (except Sprout who only had 12 after he had just healed Brightney), Dandy and his shop went back down. Everyone waited while Toodles and Pebble played with each other.
Finn looked to the side to see Sprout and Vee engaged in a conversation. It seemed like they were joking about something, observing the occasional snickers the two would exchange to each other.
The fishbowl wondered how Sprout could live so…normally after what he did to him. Shouldn’t Sprout be feeling guilty? Literally hours before, the strawberry had found out that Finn was pregnant with his child. Did he not feel any remorse at all?
The elevator opened, interrupting Finn from his thoughts. Finn exhaled and stepped into the next floor after everyone else, grateful that is was the final floor for the day.
