Work Text:

Zoey's gaze was serious and attentive as she watched her next meal move calmly along the edge of the stream.

She moved gracefully, cleaning her clothes in the water, humming softly. The sun was kissing her skin, so distracted by her tasks that she wasn't aware of the movement in the forest around her. Zoey moved from one bush to the next, avoiding making noise so as not to scare her dinner.

She was famished. She had been hunting this human for so long that she couldn't help but want to just charge in and devour her, but there were still other women washing clothes in that same stream, so Zoey was left to wait.

Glowing red eyes roamed the length of the stream, following each woman who retreated, but keeping her focus on that human.

The purple strands of her hair shone, that innocence so simply delicious to admire. Zoey could smell her from miles away.

Twisting the ring on her finger, she ran her tongue over her fangs when she noticed the human was washing the last piece of clothing. All the other women had already left the stream. The sun was still setting on the horizon, prompting Zoey to consider the risks of exposure.

One hand cautiously raised, and then she removed the glove that protected her skin, exposing herself to the sun only to regret it in an instant. The burning sensation on her skin was enough to make her retreat back into the shadows of the forest.

She waited for the skin to regenerate and put the glove back on, never taking her eyes off her prey.

Zoey would wait for her to return home.

And would follow her by the same route she took every day.

She had been watching that human long enough to know her every step. She was just waiting for the perfect moment to eat her.

The human had only recently begun to notice her presence, always startled by any glimpse of her glowing red eyes, but she never paid attention to her own fears, believing it to be just some animal in the woods.

Zoey likes to scare her. They taste better when they're covered in fear.

Now with the basket of laundry in hand, her dinner began walking down the same path through the forest, and the glowing red eyes followed her quickly. She could already feel her fangs growing, instincts screaming for a good meal. She should make her afraid. Maybe Zoey would make her scream and run for help before eating her.

With a mischievous smile playing on her lips, she moved freely through the forest, using her speed to scare her prey. Every now and then, the human glanced around in alarm, thinking she'd seen a red glow among the trees.

The vampire hung onto a branch strong enough to support her weight, shaking her shoulders slowly as she watched fear make her prey walk faster. One more swift movement was all it took to send her tumbling into the forest; a slight push, and the human was on the ground, confused, unsure of what had tripped her to fall.

Zoey stood right behind her, hands in her pants pockets, her cape draped over her shoulders, her loose hair blowing in the gentle breeze that reached this part of the forest. The human followed inertly to the presence at her back, picking up her clean clothes and mourning having dropped them on the dirty ground. The vampire's smile only grew wider with each whimper, her bright, narrowed eyes fixed on her prey. One step closer drew the woman's attention, and then the first scream rang out as the human peeked over her shoulder and came face to face with that pair of red eyes.

She ran through the forest, clean clothes forgotten on the ground. Zoey made a point of kicking the basket, keeping her hands in her pockets as she effortlessly followed the human, enjoying every scream she let out. And she was ready to grab that adorable face of hers and make her scream for real when she appeared.

Zoey clicked her tongue in dissatisfaction when she saw who was holding the human.

"Well, thank you very much," the figure says, grinning broadly. Long, sharp fangs threatening to claw at her dinner. "I was really hoping for this one. She looks even more appetizing when she is scared."

"This is my dinner, Kang." Zoey's gnashing of teeth didn't seem to affect the other; in fact, it only made her smile grow.

"And this is my territory, Lee," she retorts, raising her hand to cover the human's mouth. "Shut up. You'll draw too much attention if you keep screaming."

"Let her go. The Ryu family belongs to me, and you know it. She lives in the north of the city. My territory."

"She's in the south of the city now," she pouted, shifting the human in her arms until she could throw her over her shoulders. "And the south is my territory, Lee."

Zoey snapped her teeth together, baring her fangs at her rival, who returned the gesture in kind, both hissing a warning to each other.

The human took advantage of the tense moment between them to try to escape. Quickly, she lifted her legs, softened her body, and propelled herself forward, falling and knocking the vampire down with her. The woman stood, taking off before she could be grabbed again.

Zoey laughed. Loudly.

"Pathetic, Mira, letting the food slip away now?" Taking advantage of her rival's mistake, she bent down in front of her, placing a foot on her neck, keeping her pinned to the ground. "If you'll excuse me, I'm going to get my dinner. You look a little tired; may as well take advantage of this position and get some sleep."

Mira placed her hands on her calf, ready to force her foot off her neck, but Zoey smiled sadistically and dug her boot into her rival's throat until she heard the sound of bones cracking.

The pinkhead rolled her eyes as her rival used her neck as leverage to leap, disappearing into the trees.

She would use that ridiculous cape to strangle that damned Lee Zoey as soon as her neck bones reset.

Meanwhile, the dark-haired vampire followed the human as she ran through the forest, simply enchanted by her survival instincts. Her prey never ceased to enchant her. She didn't dare look back, just kept running aimlessly through the forest, lost among the trees, crying. Zoey admired her from afar, approaching her slowly, giving her false hope that she would escape and waiting until she was close to returning to the stream.

The human seemed to recognize the trail as soon as she heard the sound of water running. She was so ready to run and scream for help. Maybe there was still someone in the stream, maybe she would be able to return home, to her family, to her daughters—

Zoey jumped from the tree and landed on her feet, right in front of her. Her hands covered in black leather gloves were tucked into her pants pocket, her black cape flapping in the wind, obscuring the path ahead. The human slammed into her body, falling to the ground, already trembling again.

"My dear, I must say you never cease to amaze me," she pulled one of her hands from her pocket, reaching out to the human to help her up, but the prey only pulled away, forcing her body back, her eyes wide and filled with fear fixed on the creature before her. "Don't get dirty on the ground, dear, I don't want to eat you smelling like mud."

The words only made her shiver more, frightened tears beginning to stream down her face.

Zoey inhaled the air around her with relish, taking her time before exhaling. A satisfied smile adorned her face, staring down at her prey.

"I love this smell of yours…" Taking slow steps closer, she admired the human's last attempt at self-defense: a crucifix.

She lifted the object, tightly wrapped in her trembling hands, eyes closed as she murmured prayers. The laugh that escaped the vampire was somewhat sympathetic.

"Well, my dear, there's no god to save you," crouching down, Zoey rested her forearms on her knees, facing the human, keeping a smile on her face. "I've been hunting you for years now, y’know. The same way I hunted your mother and grandmother. The same way I'll hunt your daughters too."

She cupped the human's face using a hand, admiring the details of that lovely face and remembered seeing it once.

When humans reincarnate into the same family, it's always a source of great joy for Zoey. A prey lover like her is rare among vampires of that era. She likes to wait for the right moment to eat her prey. When the children are old enough to no longer need their mother around. Always waiting for the perfect time.

She continued to hold the crucifix tightly in her hands, murmuring prayers to someone who couldn't save her. Zoey almost felt sorry for her at the mention of her youngest son.

But men don't matter. She doesn't need them. Women of the Ryu line are always tastier.

"Let me tell you something funny about humans, dear," Zoey gripped her chin, one hand firmly on the human's face, the other taking the crucifix from her. "You create beliefs to hold on to the faith that there's a better life waiting for you after your suffering in life ends. But in reality, you'll just live that life again. You'll be born again in a few years, and I'll wait until that very moment to eat you again."

The human was about to faint from fear. Zoey could see the changes in her body, but she wanted her awake to eat her. Hearing them scream before blood loss killed them always tasted better.

With this in mind, she opened her mouth briefly, revealing sharp fangs that were enough to make the human shake.

Zoey gently lifted her chin, too afraid she would break her if she moved her face too roughly. She was about to sink her fangs into her neck when two hands touched her head.

One firm on the back of her neck, the other on her chin. A quick movement was enough for the sound of her neck breaking to echo, and the human was fainting at the same time as the vampire's body fell, slumping forward.

"Didn't your mother ever teach you not to play with your food, Lee?"

Mira.

Zoey could snap her neck and drag her by the heel to the stream, then drown her just for the fun of seeing her drenched from head to toe.

"Look what you did," Mira scratched the back of her neck, the imprint of Zoey’s boot still etched on her pale skin. "Made our dinner pass out!"

The shorter vampire felt her body shift. She knew those hands touching the backs of her knees.

Soon, she was lying on her side, and all she could see was Mira sitting on the forest floor with Zoey’s prey in her lap.

"I must say, she does look quite appetizing," the pinkhead inhaled the scent of her prey's neck, maintaining eye contact with her rival. "Hey, don't give me that look, it's your fault. You invaded my territory and snapped my neck, I'm just returning the favor."

Zoey would kill her as soon as her bones regenerated. She swore by every Ryu she'd eaten so far. How dare Mira steal her dinner like that?! And that Ryu... she'd been her favorite since her first incarnation. She'd been waiting for the right time to eat her for thirty-two years, and that damn thing was going to—

Sharp canines grazed the pulse point on the human's neck with enough force to break the skin, small droplets of blood welling up. The damn thing slowly ran her tongue along the human's neck, humming approvingly and moving a hand down her body, lifting her wrist and sinking her fangs there.

"She's really delicious, Lee, I have to admit," another hum escaped the back of her throat. She bobbed her head up and down slowly, letting the blood drip down her wrist until it began to soak the human's clothes. "Want some? Oh, sorry, I forgot you can't move yet, what a shame... Well, more for me."

Zoey couldn't believe what she was seeing. The amount of blood wasted was making her so pissed. If looks could kill, Mira would have a hole in the middle of her forehead by now.

Mira knows she's been hunting this human for years, knows how long she waits for her food to grow enough before she's satisfied, knows how hungry Zoey is, but there she is: toying with the feast like it's an appetizer.

The dark-haired vampire began to feel her bones slowly falling back into place, the damned discomfort making her let out low murmurs and grunts, which were completely drowned out by the sucking noise as Mira made a mess of her dinner. That damn thing.

Watching without even being able to move is the worst part. She was doomed to lie there watching the blood being wasted, regretting not feeling the warm liquid filling her throat. Her mouth watered just at the smell of her. The Ryu family has been driving her crazy for the past five hundred years, but this particular Ryu drives her crazier with each incarnation.

Mira seemed to be having the time of her life. Though aware of the other's wrath, she didn't even care. She seemed inert to the world. She wasn't that hungry, if she was being honest. She's not like Zoey.

The shorter one goes years without eating properly, waiting for the perfect human to drink her dry. Mira doesn't, she eats properly. Regularly, every day. The servants in her house offer their own wrists for Mira to feed on, and if she were being honest, she didn't understand the other's hunting behavior. There are so many humans out there, why wait years to devour just one?

But as she licked and sucked that Ryu's blood, she began to feel her agitated mind grow lighter and lighter. The rhythm of her sucking increased, drinking the blood so quickly that she seemed attached to the human's wrist.

Mira closed her eyes, lost in the taste of her blood. She usually doesn't like to get dirty while eating; the linen of her clothes is too impeccable to be stained, but she knows Zoey would hate her for spoiling even a drop of the Ryu girl's blood. Perhaps that's why the pinkhead was already covered in blood on her mouth, chin, nose, and hands. She only did a small scratch on her neck—she prefers to drink more from wrists. She was focused on sinking her fangs into the human, her eyes closed as she murmured approvingly, until she felt a tug on her hair.

She opened her eyes, fully dilated, and stared at Zoey. Her slightly crooked neck snapped back into place, and a murmured hiss sounded.

"Look at you," she hummed, noticing the pinkhead's state—eyes wide open, throat swallowing small traces of blood momentarily, hands firmly around the human. Drunk. After so much criticism of Zoey for her search for the perfect human to feed on, here was Mira, completely blood drunk. "You always do this when you disrupt my hunt. You pretend my prey is like the crap you eat at home, and then you're acting like a little bitch, desperate for more."

Mira let out a whimper as her hair was violently pulled, torn between trying to pull away and go back to drinking or surrendering.

"Wasting my food as if it were simple to wait decades for a Ryu. You're lucky I'm in a good mood. She had six daughters before she managed to have a boy, so that's six more meals for me."

The next tug on Mira's hair sent her falling backward, her spine slamming against a rock. She found herself complaining about her injury, whimpers echoing through the forest, her eyes still wide open. Zoey knows this pattern well, but she doesn't have time for it right now.

"I'm going to eat, you can whine all you want. I haven't had a Ryu in years. She is an only child, can you believe it?!"

Zoey could hear the human's heart beating faintly. She might be unconscious, and that lessened the fun somewhat, but she was still alive. And warm. And Mira didn't dare damage her neck any further.

She sank her fangs into the side the pinkhead hadn't touched, rolling her eyes in pure delight as she felt the blood trickle down her throat.

Glowing red eyes began to return to their normal brown as she drank, and she wouldn't let go of the human for anything in the world. Firm hands wrapped around her body, one around her shoulders, supporting the weight of her head, which was lolling back. Her heart was already losing its beat. But she was still warm. Tasty. Delicious.

She removed her fangs from her neck, licking the trail of blood, placing her free hand on the human's hip and pulling her closer—she was so hungry.

Mira crawled closer, pressing her thighs together; she was so sensitive from just seeing Zoey eating. The prey lay in her lap, her arms tightly wrapped around her, her lips painted red. Firm sucks against her pulse points were released with a pop. Mira wasn't even hungry, but she wanted her attention somehow—that's what made her approach the human and lick the other side of her neck.

Zoey looked up, orbs flashing red and brown, surprised by the other's audacity in approaching while she was drinking.

She pulled the human's body tightly, one hand firmly on her prey's shoulders and the other cupping her rival's face by the chin.

"What a messy eater you are," moving her face from one side to the other, Zoey analyzed her expression. Still in that same state, her pupils so dilated that the brown in her eyes wasn't apparent, and the way she pressed her legs together didn't go unnoticed. "Kinda cute too," she parted her blood-stained lips with her thumb, admiring her fangs. She was propped up on her hands and knees, staring at her like someone who wanted to drink with her. She was so drunk she didn't remember she should have been teasing Zoey, not begging for attention. "This is still mine, though."

Mira whimpered.

"Needy thing," Zoey released her face and returned her full attention to her meal.

Soft whimpers followed each suck, but the sound of blood being swallowed grew louder, each gulp accompanied by a hum of approval.

She eventually turned the human's body to latch onto the other side of her neck, cleaning up the mess Mira had made, refusing to spoil that delicious blood. She devoured the human to the last drop, purposefully ignoring the pinkhead's every attempt to get her attention.

Zoey didn't intend to keep her waiting for long; she was still quite irritated by the wasted blood, the interrupted hunt, and the broken neck. Every vampire in the area knows not to mess with any Ryu, but Mira was certainly trying to get her attention—trying to steal a prey, trying to prevent her from drinking, all to end up a mess of whimpers and pleas without even receiving the other's full devotion yet.

The Ryu was completely dry now. No matter which pulse point Zoey tried to suck blood from, her body was empty. The only trace of that feast was on her clothes and Mira—chin, mouth, hands, and clothing; everything was stained with blood.

"I'm still hungry," she hissed, running her tongue over her fangs and savoring the remnants of her meal. "And I consider this your fault, Kang."

She threw off her cloak as she stood, loosening her shirt collar and wiping her hands and the corner of her mouth on a small handkerchief tucked into her vest pocket. Mira swallowed hard as she noticed her gaze still glowing red. The hallucinatory state the human's blood had caused her began to fade, replaced by a faint fear as she became the new target of those hungry eyes.

Black leather boots dodged the human's limp body on the ground, and she approached the other vampire, quickly grabbing her chin and forcing her face up.

"You ate from my feast," her thumb ran across her blood-stained chin, lifting her hand to savor Ryu's taste once more. "You made a mess of my food," her tongue ran over her red-tinted face, fangs scratching the pale skin shallowly.

Mira seemed trapped in a trance. Paralyzed at her mercy, aware of what she had done from the very moment she had disrupted her hunt; and as Zoey licked every spot on her body smeared with the human's blood, Mira felt surrendered willing to do anything to satisfy her.

"What's wrong, Kang? A werewolf got your tongue?" With that mischievous grin on her face, Zoey cupped her cheek. Wide brown eyes stared at her, red lips parted, hands clasped together on the floor at her sides. The feel of the other vampire's tongue roaming her body made her even more aroused, seeking any friction as she pressed her thighs together. "Pathetic little thing. You did everything to get my attention, and now you can't even speak?"

An eyebrow arched provocatively. Mira swallowed hard as she felt the weight of a leg against her thighs, forcing her to spread them. Zoey moved mercilessly, quickly bringing her knee closer to her core. The pinkhead moaned; the contact had certainly caught her off guard. Her knee moved against the fabric of her linen pants, a roguish smile only growing when Zoey lowered her gaze, pulling away enough to see the wetness on the fabric.

"This wet already?" she hummed, waiting in hope to hear her voice, which would surely sound cracked with lust. Mira seemed about to say something, but Zoey's knee pressed against her core again. The only sounds escaping her mouth were low moans. "You've kept me from eating properly after years of not having a Ryu. I think it's only fair that I use you to satisfy me now, Kang."

Her hands rested on either side of Mira's head on the ground, red eyes staring down at her, one knee firmly between her legs. They were lying on the forest ground, and Zoey didn't even seem to care; that mischievous smile was enough to warn Mira that she was fucked—or about to be fucked.

Mira closed her eyes tightly as the other's face approached, her mouth half-open in anticipation, but opened them again when she felt a gust of air hit her skin—Zoey snorted, enjoying the other's submission.

"Do you want to kiss me, Kang?" She moved a little closer, nuzzling her cheek, lips brushing her face then lowering, finding a new focus—her neck. Without warning, she sank her fangs into her skin just for the fun of hearing her moan loudly again. She didn't even bother cleaning up the mess, limiting herself to admiring the healing of her skin, always so fast.

Mira was going crazy under her mercy, her hips beginning to move against her will, seeking friction against her knee, her cunt throbbing, she needed more.

"M-More," she managed to say, though the sound was so broken it was almost impossible to make out. The other vampire snorted again, this time sinking her fangs into the other side of her neck, deeper, harder, making her scream.

Zoey was really willing to make her scream some more.

After all, Mira had also ruined the fun part of the hunt by making the human pass out; nothing more fitting than a payback.

"H-Harder," she moaned again, encouraging her, and let out another scream as her wish was granted. Zoey bit her so hard that the blood flowing from the open wound wet her entire neck. "Fuck, Lee, not so hard!"

"You talking again, needy thing?"

That damned smile with her mouth stained with blood, made Zoey even more attractive. Mira continued to shift restlessly beneath her, unconcerned about the blood loss—she could feed more when she got home; right now, she just needed her.

Red eyes glowed brighter as she tasted her blood. It wasn't as delicious as Ryu's, but it still satisfied the vampire. She licked the other's neck, cleaning the area and moving down to her chin, and then thrust her tongue into Mira's mouth, making her taste her own blood while dominating the moment, supporting her weight on top of hers, keeping her trapped there.

Now she was destined to be Zoey's prey, and didn't even care about anything other than moaning into the kiss, feeling her tongue moving against hers. The dark-haired vampire began to move on top of her, adjusting her posture until she had enough leverage to move a hand to the wet center of her pants.

She bit her lip, more blood trickling down Mira's skin, another moan escaping her.

"I'm going to take you here and now," Zoey said, touching her cunt through her clothes, moving her fingers deftly there. The taller woman rolled her eyes, stifling another moan. "What a slut. You like this, don't you, Kang? You like being my needy little whore? Tell me. Tell me what you are."

Another pressure applied to her neglected clit, and Mira was throwing her head back, so desperate for more.

"Please," she let out a broken whisper followed by a moan as she felt fingers pressing into her where she so desperately wanted.

"Say it," Zoey insisted, tilting Mira’s face enough to capture her lips in another kiss, pulling her bottom lip between her fangs, drawing more blood.

"I—" A roll of eyes made Zoey smile, smug. She wasn't even touching her directly, but Mira had already surrendered completely. "I'm your little whore, please, please, touch me, make me—"

"Aren't you forgetting something, Kang? Not a word?"

She huffed, irritated, impatient. Her walls continued to clench around nothing, her clit still needing attention, her legs trembling, and Zoey didn't seem willing to give in without making her a mess.

"I'm your needy little whore, Lee! Can't you just fuck me already—! Ah!"

Zoey sank her fangs hard into her neck again, and this time she sucked on the skin immediately after. Blood seeped into her throat until the wound healed, and an obscene pop echoed through the forest. Mira continued moaning beneath her, spreading her legs wider and undoing the button of her pants, offering herself to her completely.

Still with a smug smile on her face, Zoey looked up, admiring the other's expression as she moved her hand inside her pants. She touched her cunt through her ruined panties, pressing her clit until her eyes rolled back.

“I think you could take three if I put in now, what do you think, Mir?”

A whine was all she got in response.

Maybe she could take anything Zoey gave her, but she decided to wait a little while to ruin her later.

Zoey pushed the fabric of her panties far enough and her fingers found wet folds, already covered with slick. She easily slipped two fingers inside that warm entrance, using the heel of her palm to give some attention to her clit.

"Fu-Fuck, Zoey!" Mira grunted, feeling her enter her up to her knuckles, and then let out an exasperated gasp at the feel of two fingers deep inside her. "At least take off your wedding ring!"

"Oh, don't worry, my wife knows damn well I like a good dessert after a feast."

The taller one opened her mouth in an 'o' as she felt fingers hitting her harder, and then Zoey was leaning in once more, kissing her, smearing her face with her blood.

Zoey’s fingers forced Mira’s pants as she moved her hand and the linen began to give way, the fabric tearing more with each rough thrust.

Mira moaned shamelessly, her hands finding the back of the other vampire's neck, nails digging into her skin, scratching, marking her. She continued moving beneath her, bucking her hips for more contact. She didn't even need to ask Zoey to go faster or harder—she was already fucking her mercilessly.

She began to feel that pressure in her lower stomach warning her that she was about to come undone in Zoey's hand, but her mouth remained full—an insatiable tongue continued to invade her.

A third finger entered her, her walls forced to adapt to the new stretch, and she rolled her eyes, clenching around Zoey's fingers, moaning against her mouth, feeling the weight of her body on top of her, and—

She came, hard, squirting, ruining what was left of her pants.

Zoey kept thrusting, riding her through the orgasm, so satisfied with the sounds of pure pleasure muffled against her mouth, and then Mira was coming on her fingers again, squeezing her tight, keeping her there.

They broke away from the intense kiss, Zoey resting her forehead against hers, both quiet for a moment, and Mira knew what that silence meant.

The next time she met the other vampire's gaze, they were back to normal—chestnut eyes shining with a soft glow, staring back at her in admiration.

"You couldn't keep your cool for half the night this time, darling," Mira looked away, somewhat embarrassed, utterly flustered.

"It's not my fault you get all—um. Different. When you're hunting," a weak laugh sounded in response, and a chaste kiss was planted on Mira’s cheek.

"Did I hurt you too much this time?"

"Nothing I didn't like, don't worry," long fingers caressed the shorter vampire's face, gently wiping her chin and mouth. "Are you satisfied, my love?"

"I'm not hungry anymore, but satisfied... no, I'm not satisfied. I still want to make it up to my wife for having so much fun on this hunt."

"I'm sure your wife will appreciate this better if you take her home," she licked her mouth, capturing her lips in a slow, passionate kiss.

"I'll certainly take my wife home," she informed her, smiling at her once more. "You look beautiful covered in blood, you know that, don't you?"

"You always say that," she rolled her eyes subtly, trying to appear disinterested, but Zoey knew she enjoyed and craved every compliment; she was probably melting inside.

But despite her good mood, Zoey still had a complaint raging inside her.

"On my next hunt, if you steal a Ryu from me again, I'll deprive you of sex for a century. Just warning you," she gave her a light bite on the cheek, straightening her posture and standing up, promptly holding her wife's body bridal-style to carry her to their house.

"But it was so fun watching you get desperate when I stole her," Mira wrapped one arm around Zoey's neck, her other hand cupping her face and pulling her in for a kiss. "And you're the one who asked me for a little competition on this hunt, mon amour."

"It was fun, indeed. But I don't like sharing food. Three centuries of marriage, you should know that by now."

"I do," she shrugged, a little pleased with herself for having pissed her wife enough to make her rail her there.

Zoey narrowed her eyes, suddenly well aware that she must have planned to steal Ryu just to get laid in the woods.

"You're staying home on my next hunt."

"Ha!" Mira rests her head in the crook of her neck, settling comfortably in her wife's arms. "You sure can dream about it, sunshine. Not happening at all."

Zoey's turn to shrug. It was worth a try.

At least she was sure that spending eternity hunting with her wife would ensure their marriage never fell into a rut.
