"Keep your eyes on the mirror, Pete,” came a whisper that sent shivers down Pete’s spine and the other one gasped softly, keeping his eyes steady on the large mirror in front of him, sucking in a breath when he saw himself in the mirror. He almost couldn’t recognise himself and he shuddered, his eyes travelling down, gasping as he forced himself to look up.
Pete’s cheeks were red, his lips swollen from the bruising kisses that Vegas had implanted on them just a few seconds before. His eyes half lidded, breathing hard and uneven. His hair was a mess, the way that Vegas’ hand had latched onto his hair before as they kissed, leaving Pete as a complete and dishevelled mess. Deep purplish marks sucked to the side of his neck as Vegas claimed him.
“You look so fucking beautiful,” said Vegas.

Summary
When a client refuses to sign a contract without hearing from Vegas that he can trust Porsche as the new leader of the Theerapanyakun Minor Family, Kinn and Porsche are forced to go and ask Vegas and Pete for help. Even though Kinn believes that Pete is unhappy where he is, and that Vegas is doing nothing but manipulating him like he's done everyone else.
Except when they get to the meeting, things go south, Pete gets hurt, and everyone around them realise that Vegas hasn't been faking a damn thing.

Summary
The first time Vegas meets Pete he accidently sees the man bathing in the river. The omega is startled and instead of running like every submissive wolf out there; he knocks Vegas to the ground.
The second time they meet, Pete realizes just who he punched to the ground because the man passes through their village on a horse with the royal guard. Their eyes meet through the crowd gathered to watch the King walk through their main road.
Then and there, he had watched the man dismount, walk up to Pete's home and come out a few moments later. His father bowing to the King as he left from the door. He had seen a large pouch of something tightly grasped in his hand.
Pete doesn't have enough time to think about what had just happened because he's pushed towards an empty palanquin that was brought by the King. The large guards make sure he doesn’t try anything and he doesn't see his village again.
He comes around to his circumstances eventually but his ex-betrothed comes to help him break out in a poorly executed attempt.

Pete has stubble on his face, Vegas realizes as his lover hands him a cup of coffee (milk, two sugars, because Vegas’ days of pretending that he enjoys his coffee as dark and bitter as his soul are over now, thank fuck) and leans in for a kiss.
“Feeling better, love?” Pete asks then, his face still too close to Vegas', and his sweet little smile is like a magnet, pulling Vegas' attention right back to the stubble.
It's nothing, really. A teeny tiny thing, just a bunch of black hairs on Pete's chin and above his upper lip, so short that they're barely even there.
They are there, though. Vegas can see them all too clearly, and he's fascinated.
