This is so absolutely wonderful, I'm giddy with it! That Arthur knew Merlin well enough to know that courting him should not be fine presents for him but should be things that would make his loves ones happy is so perfect! I got teary-eyed over his letter to Hunith. ♥
"I do not release you from your vow to me" frgassdafjkldsfjklmsdaaklsdmkl!!! So hot!
The flow of how Gwen returned and Agravaine was defeated is SO MUCH BETTER than how it happened in canon. I love the care and friendship and respect for Gwen, and the acceptance that their time is past. (Oh, and it suddenly occurs to me that Morgana can cease persecuting Gwen since she won't be queen!)
The lovemaking scene in Lot's guest room--just gorgeous. ♥ ♥ ♥
The art is lovely and perfect. I love that the chapter breaks are the symbols of their handfasting--the ribbon, the braided leather, and the vine.
eeee, I'm so glad this made you happy! :D The chapter break art is entirely Goss's brilliant idea - when she sent those to me, I was just floored with joy, because they're so perfect and so symbolic of the progression in the story. When I say she was my art-partner, I mean it. *g* You have pointed out some of the things I enjoyed writing most in this story - the courtship thing was possibly my favorite. Thank you so much for the wonderfully detailed comment.
