  1. This fic is phenomenal, I don't even know where to start with what I liked! Suga's own journey of discovering himself is nicely woven throughout - the way he denies the signs in his initial encoutner with Daichi ("probably comes from the summer heat", "doesn’t make sense at all, he just ate"), in retrospect, is a clever way to hint at it. Your writing felt like it took me on a journey, like I was experiencing all of Suga's highs and lows. I really felt like I was in Suga's head the whole time, which is a testament to how well you write him, making me feel like I'm in the story and not removed from it as an observer. The way you write Suga is great because he isn't reduced down to one trait. He's introspective but he's not stupid - he senses there's something more but he agnoises over it and holds himself back. It's a nice contrast to how apparent it is that Suga becomes more comfortable around Daichi once it's confirmed Daichi likes him back. It's just incredible how Suga's emotions feel so tangible and real. And Suga's friends all feel so familiar with each other - I especially liked your portraya of Iwaizumi. It's also really clear how well everything is researched - it makes it so much easier to get lost in the world you created.

And your Daichi! He's so direct with his words and actions and could've easily turned into the no-nonsense super serious guy that he's sometimes portrayed as but you avoided that and showed that he is a teenager along with Suga. All these conventional gestures (the not-a-date-but-it-really-is, the stargazing, the necklace) really feel like things that accurately reflect Daichi's character. This links back to the whole feeling like I was inside Suga's head thing but because of how well you did that, I honestly did not think about how Suga's actions would look to Daichi until he mentioned it. It was like a lightbulb moment in my head, because with just how much Suga holds himself back some of that would logically show in his behaviour. Plus, I'm really glad you wrote Daichi noticing that and picking up on it - he might be oblivious to some things but he's not totally dense. It was also a wonderful way to show Daichi respecting his boundaries - man, your characterisation ability is just amazing!

That ending has me craving to revisit Suga (or even another character's!) mind, the story, the setting. In case you couldn't tell I'm extremely looking forward to more!!! Seriously, well done for putting so much effort into this and thank you for such a fantastic read!

    1. this is such a thoughtful comment and halfway through reading it i was near tears. i cant thank u enough for this comment!! im a bit tired of how overly responsible daichi is made out to be in fics when canonically he's pulled some childish stuff & i thought it'd be nice if i showed that side of him more :-) and i personally havent read fics where iwaizumi is a lone character, he's always an extension of oikawa to some degree and i was curious what it'd be like if i wrote him the way i did! thank u so much for reading and leaving this comment it means so much to me :') im glad u enjoyed it as much as i enjoyed writing it !!
