  1. What IS it about this scenario, that is so irresistible? Is it because it's plausible? The fixation on Captain America, etc? Ugh, I don't even know.

    So I certainly get the uneasy feeling that this IS more of an op for Phil and Steve -- but can't escape the fact that if Phil was committed to his relationship he would have found some way to either get out of it, or advise Clint that it was work. That he didn't do either...is disheartening.

    In any case, it's good that Clint's getting away. Although I admit I'd like him to have told Fury to shove it, along with that shaving kit. Somehow the idea of Clint in the wind is heartening. I like the vanishing thing; let Phil dangle for a while. Ten years or so.

    And then I remember that this is all after the movie, and Phil's alleged death, and Clint's compromise, and. Yeah. Dangling is too good for Phil. I certainly hope he has to answer to Natasha when it's revealed Clint is out of the picture.
