    It was (and probably seen in hindsight, finished reading and all that) necessary. Something that started broken perhaps needed to fall apart entirely to reemerge as something healed and beautiful, no matter how hard it is.

    Again, thank you so much for your comments; they are greatly appreciated! I am so happy that an older fic isn't forgotten--I still have a part of my brain stuck in this fic and some day I will write a sequel (or even post the edited chapters and the 10K addition to this. Sigh. RL).
