    I almost bypassed this one because I'm following a couple other miracusquad chat fics already, but then I saw that ace!Adrien tag and I had to take a looksie. Ace representation in this fandom is so rare, especially for its main characters. I for one would enjoy reading more of this for that exact reason. I do love me some good representation.
    But I understand that's a very narrow reason to read something, and that's not enough incentive to keep writing if your heart is not in it.

        aaaa that makes me so happy!! i really wanted to let my headcanons for adrien out into the world because i relate hard. i'm actually homeschooled too so whenever i meet boys my age i often get an intense feeling that i want to be close to them but it's not like i want to date them or anything? i just really want them to like me. and then my mom gets convinced that i have a crush on them rip

        so i feel adrien's pain because while i get how "she's just a friend!" drives everyone in the fandom crazy, of course adrien feels that way. he's been sheltered beyond normal homeschoolers and like me, learned everything there is to know about romance from the internet and media .

        so how do you tell when you actually have a crush and how do you tell when you just really want to be their friend? why does society tell us that people can't be friends with the opposite gender without crushing on each other? it just makes it all so much more confusing and i feel bad for poor adrien continuously being told how he's supposed to be feeling

      aaaaa thank you <3 all the comments are making me so happy because tbh a large part of why i wrote this was to get my ace!adrien headcanons out there in the world? and seeing other people relating to that and wanting to see more of it made my day. and now i have three more chapters in my mind so i'll hopefully try to write those at least! it's just a matter of time and life but it means a lot that so many people are interested and relating to ace!chat so thank you <33

        I think ace!Adrien is important, especially when he's Chat, because most people tend to typecast ace characters as being either super shy or emotionally cool, like Black Widow or Sherlock. I mean, I'll take it, but it's nice to get some variety, you know? Like, flirty people can be ace too. Ace people aren't always aro too. (Athough aro rep is also super important.)

          yes, that's so true! flirty people can be ace too! you can flirt because you want a date and be ace and you can flirt just because you love pick-up lines and be ace. a person's sexuality doesn't dictate their personality and a person's personality doesn't dictate their sexuality. and my favorite characters can be ace just because i want them to be and because i project onto all of them
