I totally understand your Twilight nostalgia, I'm the same. And I love that you decided to make a more grown up version here, it feels realistic. I really like Rey and Poe as siblings, this is gonna be so different in dynamics than father-daugher duo and at the same time I think that Poe will understand her struggles better. Can't wait to know more about Ben! And his past, ofc, especially as I realised there's no Han in this story. Overall, it's such a good start! I'm really excited about this story!
I think Poe will relate to her a lot more, and maybe be more involved in the story than Charlie was. I also thought the story fit much better with them as adults, rather than teenagers trying to blend in.
Ben's back story is...a doozy. We'll get there in pieces! Han will be mentioned, but sadly in the very much past tense.
