    Mainly my objection to the reboot was the changes they did with Belle's dad.

    They make Belle the inventor instead of him, taking away an interesting character quirk he had, and then never even have her do anything with it? La-ame! Unforgivable!
    The only improvement I liked (besides his being played by Kevin Kline, who's still pretty handsome in his old age) was his standing up to Gaston when he finds out his intentions towards his daughter. That was pretty awesome.

    The problem I have with a lot of Disney's live action remakes is that they make them too SERIOUS.
    Aka boring.
