Okay, obviously Hunter's got some trauma and he needs some friendship and actual parents, but I H A T E whenever someone just makes him into something that needs to be cuddled and coddled to function.
Hunter's a trained soldier, sad as it is, and he's got plenty of independance of his own. So yes, if a bigot tried to talk down to him, you can bet he would snap back right at them. It's just the way he rolls.
