Yay! Laver is AMAZING! Especially laverbread and laver cakes. There's just something so earthy and unadulterated about it that I always feel transported to pre-history times. So basic, so simple, so of the sea~ Sounds dramatic, I know, but it's really moving(?) once you become accustomed to the flavor.
And score! I'm so glad you liked the descriptions in this one. I really let my mind wander a bit on it and tried to give people those sensory touchstones like it was a picture of a moment in time with little glowing bits. Usopp's not dreamy like Luffy, but I feel like his focus is special. It was a delight to write, at any rate, and I'm super chuffed you liked it.
