I'm SO excited for this fic! I just rewatched Sky High once again and immediately went to ao3. So glad I found this because you write so well and compellingly :)
I LOVE "... perhaps, no one had really given him a chance to be anything else"!!! It's so true that Warren's just been forced into a box by people who think they know who he is because of his father. I can't wait to see that shift in more people & starting with Layla is perfect [chef's kiss].
Also MAJOR PROPS for what Layla said about the super flawed power placement system. I was just talking to a friend about how Layla's "sounds fascist" was ON POINT, so this extra bit only adds to that!! I've been thinking about superhero stories differently over the years, so I'm here for a revolutionary Layla tbh.
