    I feel like it's the rudest possible thing to deny a hobbit delicious food? Like, it's such a central aspect of hobbit culture that I almost felt like it was over the top of Lobelia, even though she did technically feed him...

    I really wanted to mimic that split-second abduction through a doorway, but unfortunately the open nature of the party field didn't really lend itself to that style of "kidnapping" 😅

    My belief is that Bilbo — however curmudgeonly — was an excellent judge of character, who wouldn't project the misdeeds of a parent onto their offspring; and so his acceptance of Lotho was a testament to his truly good nature (...in this AU, obviously haha)
