    Drac and I are walking forward….and back with this particular fic. We realise that as the story unfolds, we have more than one tale to tell. Donovan & Riker have become inextricably linked, yet, they are as different as they are alike. I don’t want to make the same mistake that was made with Thrawn, ie, the Ascendancy novels stole away his mystique. On the other hand, we don’t want to leave too many unresolved threads. It’s a tightrope, but an enjoyable one.

    We might borrow from your game plan and do adjacent ficlits.
