Comment on flotsam and jetsom

  1. Part of Jango's trauma is legitimately how the other Mandalorians treated him. He's incredibly disillusioned with all of the systems in play, including and even especially the one that puts him at the "top" of it. Spar already has his memories of it, he doesn't want him to make his own. lmao I do love writing Mando politics.

The CVD is filled with trauma, whether their own or familial or cultural. They're people who respect Jango, at the very least, even if they don't consider him Mand'alor (I have a lot of thoughts about Isabet Reau and Dred Priest okay). Walon's especially interesting to me because of the way he repeats his own trauma, and I don't mean with how he trains his cadets. I do genuinely think that the way he actually spends time with Kal is a form of self-harm. But honestly even among the Mandos there are a lot of relatively well adjusted people. Relative to the worst of the group anyway lmao. And some of the non-Mandos definitely fuck up too. They're people, in the end.
