Aaaaw, poor Ren. And poor Anduin. :(( I do not envy them having to explain all this to cubs, but I can't help but think that dealing with the kids' grief might help them deal with their own.
Also it's interesting, how Anduin's Shadow magic (I assume) smells like Sha to Ren. "Ugh, stop that, there is not enough soap in the world to get rid of that smell..."
Also also, I get the feeling that Anduin is going to Have Words with Genn....
Yeah, discussion with the kids is HARD. >__> Ling and Den only just got to know grandpa, haven't really warmed up to him yet (except he's bad ass and that's awesome) but Varia's headed for a meltdown.
Canonically, in Legion, the Shadow priests HAVE weaponized the Sha. Anduin and Varian actually had a talk about that back in Pandaria. Anduin argued against it at the time, but it was more in a "do NOT leap headfirst into this without actually researching it first" way, not a "no way, never, nuh uh" way. And now Shadow priests can have little Sha pets, so yeah... weaponized Sha. Pandaren all get a little creeped out by it.
Genn deserves so many words right now, and not many of them are complimentary. I need to finish that quest chain, see if he redeems himself any or if he's just all gung ho off on revenge. :P
