Comment on Make them happy for me

  1. Thanks for your comment, and taking the time to let me know your thoughts, I’m glad you liked the story <3

I get what you mean and you’re right, it would’ve been a good idea but this implies changing the entire plot with a series of events coming out of nowhere without making any sense (and knowing my brain cells, I would’ve lost myself in my own plot lmao).

I know this isn’t the kind of ending people expected but I liked the emotional and meaningful way of letting Older Haru have the final conversation he wanted with his parents, even if it’s only temporary (it’s still better than nothing and I refused to let the older version be in pain his entire life because I was attached to him during the writing process !).

I’m more into the realistic fact that, unfortunately, we can’t bring dead people back but we can cherish the memories and, in older Haru’s case, the last conversation he had with them to use it as a strength. The idea is how older Haru isn’t afraid now he knows he wasn’t the one to blame in the tragedy and he’ll never be alone, which was the reminder he desperately needed!

    1. I understand. It was great that the older version of him got to see his parents again.
