    BAWLING. just. BAWLING. i read this fic offline while i was in a foreign country and it was my life support, and now coming back to it a year later and seeing it finished? there are tears rolling down my face. it was so thrilling to partake as a reader along the journey of two lovesick idiots, and being incredibly frustrated at their stupidity but craving more, and having the euphoria of seeing all of that hardship and waiting come to fruition. you wrote this beautifully and have restored my love of reading once more- albeit through my hyperfixation but also just through sheer craft and the outworldly talent of being able to capture canon characters perfectly. i wont be able to look at peonies and chrysanthemums the same way anymore.

    also… SHADOWPEACH MENTION?!?!??? DID I CATCH THAT RIGHT?? SUN WUKONG AND MACAQUE POTENTIALLY BEING SOULMATES HELLO?
