Comment on Natural Altruism

  1. I really like the story so far, and think the concept is well done, but why is Sophia in Winslow? In canon, she made it part of her contract that she'd stay in Winslow with Emma. The PRT wasn't keen on it, but having a lawyer on your side helps.

Here, she hates Winslow, hates Emma, and doesn't have a lawyer. I understand the story needs it, but why is she there?

    1. Good question.

Obviously the story needs her in Winslow to grow her relationship with Taylor but my reasoning for her staying in Winslow is mostly because of her new motivations. First of all, Sophia had a much less spotty track record before being forced in the Wards and had an easier time getting some concessions as she is far more motivated about helping people than hurting criminals. Second of all, she has plenty of motivation to stay in Winslow because even if she hates it she sees it as something she has to do, without her Winslow would be lawless and she's one of the people keeping the weak there from suffering the most.

      I hope this made sense.

      1. It's a workable reason, and that's really all you need. I look forward to where you take this story.
