    To answer your question, Lance already has told his family, which includes Clair and her family about Delia and Ash, as that happened off camera you can say. And I do believe its mentioned in a later chapter here in the Johto arc where Lance did bring Delia to Blackthorn to meet his family while Ash was traveling.
