Ugh my heart broke and then was rebuilt and then broke again.
This chapter was what I desperately needed in this story!! I felt like I was going insane along with everyone else in these past chapters and now here we have what we needed!
- I liked the way you wrote Cleo. I find her to be the hardest Pogue to write, because she’s so unique from all the others in how she talks, especially. Everything she said and did in this chapter felt right on. The fact that *she* was the first one to get angry over the idea to protect Kie from seeing JJ was perfect.
- I get what John B was trying to do…but he should’ve listened to the girls on this one. Kie is going to fall apart no matter how or when she sees JJ again, so prolonging it will only add anger on top of that.
- I’ll be honest I was questioning Rafe in this story a bit but he was spot on in this chapter. The fact that he’s latched onto Kie actually seems very accurate. And I believe that he does love her, in his own Rafe way. But just like with Sofia, he doesn’t say it until he’s on the verge of losing her. The fact that he was so fearful when he found out JJ is alive is actually such an accurate reaction for him, because he knows Kie loved JJ in a way she doesn’t love Rafe. He knows he’s about to lose Kie and their new life together. Ugh. I do feel for him for that! But also…move aside, Rafe, she belongs with JJ!!
- I was so relieved Kie didn’t say it back, though!
- I wasn’t expecting Sarah to be angry when Kie told her about how Rafe said he loved her, but it actually makes so much sense, because he told her that AFTER he found out JJ was back. He told her that because he didn’t want to lose her, more as an attempt to keep her with him when she finds out the truth. So it makes a ton of sense why the Pogues would be so mad over that.
- Not gonna lie I was pretty worried you were not going to include all the Pogues finding out and just have Kie’s reaction and I was sooo disappointed but then everything was ok so you are forgiven LOL — except for the fact that they all broke my heart. Their reactions were all so *them* so kudos again for getting the characters so spot on!!
- UGH JJ freaking out that something had happened to Kiara. The Pogues really dragged that out in the worst way.
- Ahh JJ and Jackson are soo adorable. The moment JJ found out they had named their son after him
😭 *my heart* 😭 And little Jackson saying he loved him 😭 *my achy breaky heart* 😭
- ugh how is JJ going to react when he finds out Kie and Rafe have been dating?? Ow ow ow
