    but will Snily be the endgame? and will Jilly only will happen off-screen and there won't be any romantic scene written between them? if its only mentiond fine but i don't want to read anything romantic between James and Lily since the mere thought that she could fall in love with her former best friend's bully already makes her unworthy of Severus in my opinion!

      Snily will be 100% endgame with a happily ever after; I'm too much of a shipper for anything else tbh.

      This story will not feature Lily being in love with James or any positive interaction between them. Only the sequel will have Lily looking back on her relationship with James, at times fondly, at times with something approaching resentment. Since James will be dead at the start of the sequel, there are not going to be any romantic scenes between them. The sequel will hopefully be posted in summer 2026, since I have other projects lined up and want to draft the entire thing before posting the first chapter.

      Overall, this story will deal with complex emotions that can be contradictory and uncomfortable. Severus and Lily have a difficult relationship in canon, and this will be reflected in all stories I write about these two. It's what makes them appealing, in my opinion.
