To be honest, I've been trying to find the right age, mainly because he has to be young enough compared to the rest of batkids to still be in high school, while also older than Damian, while also making sure Dick is still a young enough age to be trained for and be Robin. There is also issue of 'well Dick is older than Jason, but how much older does he need to be to fit the role I want to play'. DC changes the ages of characters a lot, or like whenever I google it, the answer is varied.
Peter's birthday ranges from August 10 to October 22 (Comic and MCU), but he's a senior at Gotham Academy. So in this fic he's 18. He's one the people (such as myself) who happened to be 18 before the school year ended. Dick is 25. Everyone else, aside from Damian falls between the two. Barbara being the second oldest, followed by Jason, but Tim, Steph, and Duke are within a year or two of each other. I put Tim as the oldest of the three, mainly because I think he deserves to be firmly out of teen years for once.
As of writing right now he was taken in by Bruce when he was around 5, Dick was around 12. I'm not really trying to go for like any kind comic authenticity, but consistency in my own story matters to me tbh. It just gets kind of weird because Dick is usually around 5-7 years older than Jason.
I might never actually write the ages of everybody else. Just have the convenient 'college age' or 'old enough to live alone and work'. It's a little lazy, ik, but tbh as a person who is 1 of 6 siblings, don't ask me how old my little siblings are, or exactly when their birthdays are. I lost count. I know one is a few days before mine, and another is at the end of August. I love them very much, trust me, they are just also like 16-18 years younger than me. That's a whole other story tho.
Tbh Peter is probably the same way, and I won't spoil it here, but there is a reason why he would be a little foggy on what some of sibling's ages are.
TLDR: Peter was 5 and Dick was 12. Peter is now 18 and Dick is 25
