    I think I mentioned this in the first chapter's notes, but maybe I didn't.
    Long story as as possible: I like Jon and Damian's friendship a lot, but the timeline is off enough to not work. I'm using the Superman (2025) canon for the most part (it's so good and I am living for a Superman that feels like a good person) and he and Lois have been dating for 3 months in that one, while Damian is already about 2 during the events of the Batman (2022). Plus I thought he'd be a good character to have in this story.
    Jonathan Kent is such a complex character. His dad is Superman, the embodiment of goodness and kindness and hope, and he has so much he feels he has to live up to on top of him having some pretty hefty anger issues in the comics I've read. It really lends itself to a story about legacy and where you fit into that compared to your own unique flaws and abilities, especially when using the newest canon for comparison.

      It is probably my fault. That makes a lot of sense. I really like Jon so I am so excited for what you have in store for him and the others.

        No, I went back and it was apparently a quick mention in the notes. I'm not surprised you don't remember. 😅
        I'm so glad! I thought for sure someone was going to be mad at me, but DC stands for Disregard Canon, so.
