There’s a lot I love about this fic, I mean it is a huge bummer Steve’s not on the same side. I really like liking Steve, but I am very intrigued by the whole setup of your story. It feels very unique, and it works really well, these very specific circumstances really force them together and I like the delicate trust they’ve managed to build over their brief time together. Your reader is very interesting too, super compelling and likeable, she’s clearly in wayyy over her head but she’s trying so hard to do the right thing. I am rooting for them both, crossing my fingers for a happy ending<3 And you should be proud! It’s really well written!
Thank you so so much, I'm so happy you like the story and the Reader, this started as a stupid project but boy oh boy did it get out of hand. I'm so glad you found this after the EXCRUCIATING process of finding things out for the legal process because this had a huge pause simply because I needed to research so many things.
Oh she is in WAY too deep, Steve’s position is super precarious, I wanted to convey just how much he cares about Bucky while despising the part of him that is the Winter Soldier, failing to see that that part is still Bucky regardless.
I’m so touched. I’m my own biggest critic, struggling so much with a perfectionism that at times it’s truly debilitating, but your words are so kind and encouraging I don’t know how to thank you.
The next chapter should be out soon, so you won’t hang on that cliffhanger for too long.
