    In my personal “rewrite AU” of how RWBY should have gone post-Volume 3, the question I would have Salem as Jinn would be a two-parter: “Is my truest desire in my heart and soul the end of my own life, or the death of the Brothers? And if the latter, what steps need to be taken to achieve this objective and NOT destroy all life on Remnant in the process?” I’m 200% okay with Salem getting a “redemption” arc (in canon RWBY AND in fanfiction, I mean), but I NEVER want Cinder to get one. The only thing I want from that soulless hag is for her to get utterly CURBSTOMPED AND DIE!!!!!
