Summary
Taking a different route home, Tommy darted through unfamiliar streets and navigated through corners and roads he’d never been to before. He was close to his apartment though. He could see the tall block of apartments over the row of buildings in front of him.
He was drawn to an alleyway. Unremarkable, but dark. It turned the corner and went behind the post office. It was stupid, but he had a hunch. And he couldn’t squelch the bad feeling until he was sure there was nothing there.
There, in the middle of the alley, is a singular tooth. A premolar, if he paid enough attention in biology. It’s been dragged along the concrete, almost like a fucked up paintbrush. In clotted red, a phrase is spelled. His knees buckle and his jeans are soaked in crimson. ‘Blood for the Blood God’
Tommy runs.
or; Tommy just wants to work peacefully at Clementine's Cafe, but ends up involved in something way over his head involving a string of unexplained deaths too great to be coincidental.

But Shroud wasn’t home. Tommy waited, sitting on the sofa flicking through videos on his phone for hours.
Days passed. Tommy was worried, concern irking his brain as he sent text after text to his brother, to no avail. He never responded.
It had been a week. Tommy had messaged friends, even going as far as seeking out Shrouds mutuals to ask if they’d seen him. Nobody had. Tommy called the police that night, and a search began for a missing nineteen year old named Shroud Innit.
Posters went up everywhere, but as months passed, people stopped searching, and the case was dropped.
