The first time Shinsou Hitoshi and Midoriya Izuku met they were four years old, the Midoriya's had just moved into the apartment next door and the Midoriya matriarch had knocked on the Yamazawa household door to introduce their small family.
Izuku hid behind his mothers leg, clutching his mothers pant leg and staring at Hitoshi with wide emerald eyes full of hope. In that moment Hitoshi just knew they'd be best friends and smiled back, albeit shyly. From that day forward the two boys were almost never without one another, and they grew up together.
