Summary
The earth element. Prosperity, abundance, trust, security. The faery looks up and up and up. The dragon is huge and a brilliant green that makes him think of new leaves and spring time. Smoke leaks out of his mouth, a grey cloud that drapes him in ash and soot. The faery should be afraid, he's so much smaller, but the dragon isn't a threat. They are not friends, these two, but they could be allies. The faery smiles, impish nose turned up in amusement.
Maybe they could be friends after all.

Summary
He stands alone. Watching the sun break through the clouds. The world hazy in the summer heat. Like an angelic guardian, his wings stretch backwards towards dawn, while he awaits the rising of the moon. At mid-day, he glistens with pale skin and at night, he launches himself aloft. Black swans keeping him company, they hold his swords in their feet. He is focused. Determined. The night is his time to fight, like the day is his time to guard. He is an expert at it, though lonely. How wonderous would it be to have others to fight with, he thinks.

Summary
Creating order out of chaos, authority, leadership, strength, establishing law and order. The carvings on the wall bear the symbols of the domain, and of dominion.
The Emperor remembers....
He remembers when once there was another man. Was it his father? A mentor? Or was it a vanquished king? His mind arcs back, grasping. Once.... There was another, and he relinquished the dragon orb.
He remembers his own fascination with the orb upon first laying eyes on it, and as he touched it the strength of the creature within surged through his arms and possessed his senses. "You are now the lord of these mortal realms." Was it the other who had said that? Or was it the dragon? He was now the dragon!
"Yessss," he said, and knew it was so.

Summary
The Knight of Swords is the brave hero who rushes headlong into conflict to defend his beliefs. He is blunt and comes directly to his point. He is domineering, a seeker, slicing through the skies with his sword and his wings. A storm gathers in his wake, borne of the turbulence his winged army creates. He is lifted high above it all to pierce through the chaos, his sword a beacon in the dark. He is the righteous fury. He is the Firestorm.

Summary
With her blade the Queen of Swords slices through lies and deceptions to the heart of truth. She is honesty and inner knowledge, sending forth her winged seekers into the world. They are an extension of her being and her soul. The blinding white of her gown is the color of purity, honesty, clarity, uncompromised balance; but also of distance, and sometimes death, for sometimes to get to truth one must cast off the old to discard pretense and guile.
The Queen of Swords is an intelligent woman, loyal, witty, and humorous in her forthright way. She is valued for her accurate perceptions of the world around her, and her experiences. She is surrounded by purple dragon lilies, which are symbols of inner strength, and white chrysanthemums of truth. She does not shy away from making hard decisions.

Summary
Like the vertical sword he holds at the ready, he is a pillar of strength and morality. He holds power over life and death. He is a warrior king, sword always drawn and prepared to spring to action should the need arise. He carries through with his actions, following the path of truth that the blade lights for him. He is led on by the silent wisdom of the owl, and the shadowy ravens that trail him like Hugin and Mugin, Odin's twin ravens - Thought and Memory. They fly away to seek out truths and bring their findings back to be whispered in his ear. The balance of night and day is embodied in those avian companions. The shadows of the night descend upon his shoulders, a living mantle of porphyry, a color the ancient Greeks associated with royalty. The base of the throne is etched with da Vinci's Vetruvian Man, symbolic of the blend of art and science; of the symmetry in the human body, and in the whole of the universe.

She rides the waves, a queen in her own right, in a chariot of turquoise and gold. Her castle is made of seafoam, fleeting, beautiful, accessible only to those who know where to look. Pure, she is drawn by a pair of unicorns, cruel beasts to any who would dare to hurt her. Her train is made of sea turtles, their marks unique and glittering in the crystal waters. A King Crab holds a glowing pearl in its claws, the only source of light in the dark depths. She stands above it all, riding the waves, watching everyone. Her duty to them alone.

I'll be honest, the story has nothing to do with the card other than there are goldfish on it and I couldn't get the image of a goldfish bowl and a staring cat out of my head, so you get this crack instead. Enjoy!

They gather to stare at the orb. It's cold, where it should be warm. There's death, where life should flourish. One reaches out a hand, takes the freezing orb and presses it deep against his chest, sharing warmth and life and love.
'Breathe, little spark,' he whispers softly. Finding gentleness when it was once so lost to him. 'Breathe,' he coaxes. 'We're here. You're not alone anymore. Never again.'
The orb shudders in his embrace. Tears, like a melodic tinkling, dance across it's surface as it gives in and sinks into the heat of the other.
Never again, it repeats, and prays the other is right.
