Summary
“I don't suppose anybody is worried about me, are they?” Anaxa attempts to keep too much sarcasm from coating his tone, but unfortunately fails.
Strangely, that of all things erases the furrow from Castorice’s brow, only momentarily, as her gaze shifts to the wall behind Anaxa. Anaxa's eyes narrow. Peculiar.
“Yes, actually,” she says, then seems to steady herself through a quiet, controlled breath. The negative space of her white pupils freezes Anaxa in place when she next meets his gaze. Such a light, beautiful color, yet hiding such an unfathomable depth.
After a moment, Castorice continues, “I am.”

Summary
Xueyi shushes him soothingly. “Just tell me what I can do.” Something in his tone speaks of deep-rooted concern, and maybe even a bit of desperation if Luka focuses.
“I…” Luka starts, before his voice cracks right down the middle. He's not crying, and he hasn’t in years (since he lost his arm) but man does he want to right now.
He knows Xueyi wouldn’t say a word, not even an ounce of judgement would radiate from him. Just his quiet form of love and care. He'd probably cradle Luka closer, even despite knowing he can’t provide any body warmth. Not that it matters to Luka— He has enough natural warmth for the both of them.
Actually, a hug would probably do him some good.
“Hug, please,” Luka says weakly.

Luka deals with a particularly bad flare up of phantom pain. Xueyi is there to help him through it.
